California is definitely in play. A Scott Brown type candidate would win comfortably in Nov.
Jerry Brown is no Scott Brown and is more Hamlet right now but is certain to run for GOV
Moonbeam is back, baby!
Governor Moonbeam again? Californian must have a defective gene in their gene pool…
I think experience tells us that the undecideds often go with the challenger or party out of power. There are a lot of undecideds in these polls. With polls so close, I’d say Whitman has the advantage over Feinstein right now and an even shot against Moonbeam. The unaffiliated and currently undecided voters are going to be swayed heavily by the outcome in Massachusetts. If even the bluest of blue states sees a problem with the Obama-style agenda, we have a wave coming that will swamp the gains on 1994. The gains in 1994 were largely a turnover of previously Democratic conservative Southern seats into the Republican fold. Typically liberal states like Massachusetts still went full-bore Democratic. Now we’re seeing across-the-board weakness even in those blue states. This mid-term election could be more like 1894 than 1994.
