NYTimes held the Bush wiretapping story for over a year before the 2004 election because Bush administration people went to Times headquarters to tell them they were threatening national security. From a geographical perspective much of OR is rural. Unfortunately, the couple of pop centers that exist are ultra liberal.
If Whitman and Carly prevail in the Golden State, then the GOP will be competitive there again. That could have a ripple effect in the 2012 presidential race and also mean some form of sanity is going to be restored to our nation’s largest state.

Benny – There are a LOT of white independents in Colorado. This is where Obama has lost ground. When a state is 1/3, 1/3, 1/3…. Say Obama has 10% Approval among Republicans, 33% Approval among Indies, and 85% approval among Democrats, what do you get? Just about 42%… And 49% strongly disapprove!!! This number has been centering around 50% lately.
I’m not arguing that, MD. The tea parties are just capable of making mistakes as the establishment Republicans though. O’Donnell would be a disaster for Republicans in November, and Minnick is a fraud extraordinaire.

I agree, MD. Undecideds usually top out at roughly 1-3% in North Carolina. That said, the fact that Burr is ahead in the race is apparent, so I’m not going to worry too much about a high undecided rate in the poll. It’s certainly far better than Marshall’s internal poll, which had a whopping 23% undecided even with the Libertarian included.
That OK-5 Race tonight is almost certainly going into a Run-Off.
The more interesting Race in OK-1 where Sullivan has to fend off 4 Challengers to avoid going into a Run-Off.

I disagree, Tina. Buck is the one suffering from foot-in-mouth disease right now while Norton is being very disciplined. I’d say Norton is the more likely of the two to be able to win the seat back while Buck can’t seem to get out of his own way.
Conway’s internals from a month ago show only a tie with Rand Paul. Rand probably has at least a seven-point lead if we follow the pattern with internal polls this cycle.

I actual have something good to say about Mrs Angle today. So far for the last couple of days she’s kept her head down and hasn’t said anything out of hand if she can continue this I see her making a rebound like Rand Paul who we all agree has corrected his ship.
