A Preview of PPP’s MI and WI Polls (Plus OH Poll_
I never did get around to posting the latest results from Ohio from Quinnipiac University yesterday.
PRESIDENT – OHIO – GOP PRIMARY (Quinnipiac)
Rick Santorum 36%
Mitt Romney 29%
Newt Gingrich 17%
Ron Paul 11%
This poll was done February 23-26 among 847 likely primary voters. I only psted that pollt give me an outlet to post the latest tweets from Public Policy Polling on their Michigan poll they plan on releasing tonight bewteen 10 and 11 o’clock (well after I will be in bed).
Pretty sure Santorum will win election day voters tomorrow in MI, just a question of whether he can make up Romney’s absentee lead
—–
Started today’s Michigan calls at 4 and so far seeing encouraging things for Santorum. Tomorrow may be a long night,
They also have this about a new poll from Wisconsin they plan on releasing tomorrow.
Wisconsin recall numbers tomorrow. Best numbers we’ve seen for Dems in a while on that front.
I am sure Scott Walker is just going to love the idea of Rick Santorum as the face of the Republican Party while he is trying to keep his gubernatorial seat….

uno
wtf? pope rick is encouraging democrats to vote for him! i wonder how hannity and rush will spin it if the pope wins?
#2…Jenny…Using Dems to win an election. He’s staking the deck.
Not very wise.
#3…*stacking
SoHope…what did you mean when you said that post was not Lisab?
SSQ, the info the post from lisab was in quotation marks had capital letters (which lisab never uses) and was followed by non-quoted “get well soon” (with not caps)
she was clearly quoting someone (copying and pasting) and wished them to get well soon…
does Walker have a big name person running against him?
#8 The unions are backing a lib from Madison to run against Walker. The Walker campaign declined to challenge any recall signatures, so the recall election may be held sooner rather than later.
Scott Walker doesn’t have a prime time opponent facing him yet.
Sorry it will be tough but Scott walker will win !! Rick or no rick!!!
Regardless of what happens tomorrow night, Santorum won’t be the nominee. Walker won’t have to worry about that.
#7..so hope…I didn’t know that was her style.
She didn’t mention anyone’s name…there was no
# reference from another post.
At least my heart was in the right place.
She was quoting Barrett Susyque who got in a car wreck she was citing his post and wishing him well
#14…This is what I read…Where is the referance
to another person?
…………………………
lisab says:
February 27, 2012 at 9:17 pm
“Sorry for the lack of posts guys. I was in a bad accident on thursday. Car is total, suffering from a concussion and whiplash.
Doc says my back will heal in a weak. Bastard who hit me is in big trouble, I think he has to stand trial”
get well soon
She didn’t refer to Barrett but that was his post from earlier today
#7-#14…your critical spirit is obvious. I have posted # 14 and you do not respond that anyone could read that as Lisab’s post about herself. But
then again, you guys are the pros.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/02/24/gop-fears-burial-beneath-obama-landslide-against-rick-santorum.html
Susy I wasnt being ugly at all sorry if you took it that way
#16…” She didn’t refer to Barrett”
So that is my point.
srry

get well soon, Barrett

Our combined 2 night tracking numbers in Michigan: Santorum 38, Romney 37, Paul 14, Gingrich 9
Santorum must have had a really good day.
19…I appreciate correction when it is truly a mistake. As I said, I read that and I felt awful thinking it was Lisab who was hurt.
PPP Tweet
Our Monday only numbers in Michigan: Santorum 39, Romney 34, Paul 15, Gingrich 10

Our Monday only numbers of people who didn’t already vote in Michigan: Santorum 41, Romney 31, Paul 16, Gingrich 9
Enough being the victim, SSQ…next topic.
As I said, I read that and I felt awful thinking it was Lisab who was hurt.”
feel bad for barrett!
#26…I’m taking my marbles and going home.
Goodnight! (:-)
According to this, Santorum appears to have regained momentum in MI.
Pundits are pointing to some of Romney’s statements, painted as gaffes (two Cadillacs), as well as the setting of his speech in Ford Stadium Friday, as being errors that turned the tide against Romney. As I recall, the press immediately jumped on these events as opportunities they could exploit, which they did. It’s amazing the trivia that can play as a game changer!
Lisab – get well soon. I know you will recover from the car accident. You’re a fighter!
PPP:
“Romney leads among Republicans in Michigan. It’s Democrats putting Santorum over the top. We’ll see if they really show up…”
Republicans are so stupid they want to allow the Democrats to pick the nominee….
One more PPP tweet
Romney leads among Republicans in Michigan. It’s Democrats putting Santorum over the top. We’ll see if they really show up…
That’s Barrett, not lisab…..
Hey troll, stop copying my posts… thanks.
I think the Democrat thing will backfire on Santorum.. maybe not in Michigan but he is handing Romney a powerful weapon. You read it here first.
SUSYQUE told me lisab was nearly decapitated in a car accident. I saw it on the internet. It has to be true.
Romney and Santorum even on Intrade… nobody knows who is going to win.
Dems deciding our results! And Santorum abetted it. I am so disgusted.
36. I read Barrett was in the car with her and that, hmmm, well, there was evidence that something was distracting the driver.
Disclaimer; lisab’s eunuch is not named Barrett.
Well, we’ll know soon enough
Am I the only one infuriated by Pope Ricky running an ad directed to Democrats telling them Mitt was opposed to the bailout when Pope Ricky was also?
What a despicable hypocritical azzhole
” Dems deciding our results! And Santorum abetted it. I am so disgusted.”
Look at it this way. Maybe it will be a rallying call.
And if it isn’t, maybe its a sign we are really to stupid to win.
I hope all the people angry at the Dems were equally upset at Rush and Operation Chaos. That was wrong and so is this.
We can also thank TheAzzholeWithFourWivesWhoCommitsDrugFelonies as well
Revenge by the Democrats for Operation Chaos
Thanks Rush!
I was uncomfortable with Operation Chaos when TheDrugAddledFatBoy was pushing it although I can’t honestly say I vigorously opposed it
Romney loses MI by 2. Wins AZ by 18.
This has got to end soon or the nomination will be worthless
42
My disgust is because Santorum abetted this. I expect it from the Dems. But that is too horrible for me. I will haveu a hard time even looking at the man from now on much less voting for him?
Romney said tonight that the Santorum calls was a new low. I agree.
Every time I run across someone going on and on and on and on about Jesus this and Jesus that and Jesus the other thing I have found that person to invariably be an individual of low character and a hypocrite as well
Mitt needs to take $100 million out of the Romney family stash and politically LAY WASTE to this goddamned piece of trash
Can someone link the story of Santorum calling on dems to vote for him?
I agree about the calls to dems from Santorum. He is pulling out all the stops to attain this win. It will be interesting to see if he is condemmned for it, in the aftermath, like Romney was after his Iowa negative ad campaign.

Wanting to attract the votes of Reagan (conservative) Democrats:
How shameful. Didn’t that strategy help Ronald Reagan to 2 landslide wins in 1980 and 1984?
It’s NOT like Santorum is cheating or stuffing the ballot box.
Three stories on Political Wire deal with the shift over to Santorum, as well as the robocalls to dems.

Piece of sh*t vermin b@stard Santorum must be obliterated politically
#42…Bitter…perhaps Rush will be happy if
Romney doesn’t win MI.
#54 bob
Wasn’t that shift, used by Reagan, during the GE, rather than in a GOP primary? There’s a big difference when dems help to nominate the republican nominee, many of which are doing so in order to assure the weaker of the field is the nominee.
Uh, Bob, he’s LYING in the ads
Complaining that Mitt opposed the bailouts when he was also
Holy Jesus! Is he nuts???
This is from the “Reagan Democrat” supporting Santorum:
“Mitt Romney has been unable to stem the bleeding despite his tens of millions. Just imagine Santorum, with the far more radical record and a continued inability to raise real money. It’s a no-brainer!”
Didn’t Rush have a fit when Democrat/Indies in NH picked McCain?
Piece of sh*t vermin romney needs to be obliterated at all costs
Romney is Republicans by 5% but losing Democrats by 37%…who do they want to face in the GE?
of the Democrats that are voting for Santorum in the PPPoll 51% are “very liberal” or “somewhat liberal” and 28% are “moderate”.
These are not voters for us in the GE.
PublicPolicyPolling ? @ppppolls
Romney leads 43-38 among Republicans in Michigan. But Dems going for Santorum 47-10
Full results up now for our final Michigan poll, which finds Santorum up 38-37 on Romney
and considering many AA’s call themself “conservative” I am sure it is worse.
Don’t be surprised if we don’t find out later that Obama’s SuperPAC did campaigning for Santorum in the last few days.
and that doesn’t count liars claiming to be republicans or indies.
#70 Obama’s pac did run a couple hundred thousand dollars in ads in MI that were anti-romney recently.
From another Santorum supporter:
“…And in any case, it’s freaking hilarious. I mean, Rick Santorum? Really? The Republicans have offered up this big, slow, juicy softball. Let’s have fun whacking the heck out of it.
Please, contribute $5 to help us turn out Democrats in open Republican primaries and caucuses.”
Santorum’s Democrat friends continue with:
“I realize that this makes some of you squeamish, and if you live in one of those states and don’t want to participate, you don’t have to! But there’s too much at stake to worry about idealistic notions of what democracy should be. Luckily for all of us, Team Obama isn’t restraining itself based on such idealism. They’re playing to win.”
“Obama’s Super PAC is now engaging in Michigan, attempting to weaken Romney for the benefit of the GOP’s own SNL Church Lady. And as much as the Super PACs might pretend that they operate independently of their candidates, they don’t. Priorities wouldn’t be hitting Romney in Michigan without the tacit approval of Team Obama.”
Santy can lead all he likes with Dems.
But 20% of votes have been cast.

Mittbots melting down.
I don’t want to hear any complaints about santo courting dems.
Romney unleashed his death star, super PAC, and Ron Paul alliance and santo is still hanging tough.
Look at it this way…if santo wins tomorrow, he will likely win the votes of very conservative and very lib voters.
I have never liked the idea of open primaries whether DEM, REP, LIB or GREEN. It is not right that NON-REPS can vote in a REP primary. Ludicrous, but that is what happens when you have some states that don’t have party registration. We shall see what Tuesday night brings. It is sad that the DEMS are dumping so much money and effort into beating Romney just to get Santorum as their patsy opponent in the Fall.
2/27 Gallup Mitt Romney now holds a 32% to 28% advantage over Rick Santorum among Republican voters nationwide in their preferences for the party’s presidential nomination. Santorum led by 10 percentage points a week ago.
After search, Army identifies remains of last unaccounted soldier in Iraq
The U.S. military has identified the remains of the last American service member unaccounted for in Iraq, the Associated Press has reported.
Staff. Sgt. Ahmed Kousay al-Taie was an Army interpreter from Ann Arbor, Mich. He was born in Iraq and moved to the U.S. as a teenager. He joined the Army Reserve in December 2004.
The military’s mortuary in Dover, Del. positively identified part of his remains. Army officials provided no details about how his remains were discovered.
man you should start calling this site, the Whiny Establishment (loser) Republican Report. Because that it posts have become in the last year or so.
I say Mitt wins Michigan tomorrow.
And I was sorry to hear that lisab was decapitated and killed in that horrific vehicle assembly plant accident.
Santorum robo calling urging dems to vote for him. What a scumbag —- it is pretty obvious who the GOP should be supporting in this race.
Crosstabs show Mitt up 5 with Republicans in ppp poll. So, by enouraging Dems to crossvote, Santorum is in essence saying the will of the Republicans should not matter in choosing their nominee. How does that jive with “taking one for the team”? Hypocrite.
To turn a blind eye to the dems effors is one thing, but as a candidate to actively support dems voting in the primary using the bailouts (which he opposed as well) is down right low life in my opinion. Rick Santorum is low class.
At his campaign rally last night Santorum urged his supporters to send a message to the “establishment”. Those words could have come right out of Rush Limbaugh’s mouth.
If romney is half as liberal as santorum says then why are dems supporting his 2:1? And those arent reagan dems…they are 51% liberal and 28% moderate.
Polls Apart
The volatility in polling suggests a few things, not least of which is that Romney’s electability edge has virtually evaporated.
The takeaway from these numbers is that the electability premium that Romney had over Santorum has, for now, virtually evaporated.
http://www.nationaljournal.com/columns/off-to-the-races/polls-apart-20120227?mrefid=freehplead_2
Over and over again all you lemmings talk about is Romney’s electability advantage, well according to Charlie Cook, Romney electability edge has all but vanished.
Michael Moore and the deadenders and trolls here are all on the same page:
“I have to tell you a lot of my Democratic friends will vote for Santorum in something they are calling Operation Hilarity,” Michael Moore said at the end of an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.
According to the Daily Kos, who launched this campaign, Operation Hilarity is “an opportunity for Democrats to actually help prolong this election a little bit longer because we’ve seen that the longer this drags out, the worse it is for Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum and the best it is for Barack Obama.”
” Romney leads 43-38 among Republicans in Michigan. But Dems going for Santorum 47-10 ‘
Democrats prefer Santorum.
The Corleones and Scissors can talk themselves blue in the face but there is only one explanation for that.
They KNOW he is easier to beat.
Wesley Pruden sums it up well about Santorum:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/feb/28/pruden-the-ignorance-of-rick-santorum/
