Gillibrand Dominates in NY, Preview of NC and NV Polls

No surprises in Siena College’s latest poll out of New York for the US Senate race.

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-inc) 65%
Wendy Ling (R) 22%

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-inc) 65%
George Maragos (R) 23%

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-inc) 63%
Bob Turner (R) 25%

I would guess if Republicans put up a stray cat as their candidate, they would also get 23% against 65% for Gillibrand. This poll was done June 3-6 among 807 registered voters.

This post was actually a way to provide the latest tweet from Public Policy Polling on their latest poll out of North Carolina and Nevada.

Tomorrow: NC President and NV Senate. Small lead for GOP in both. Also look ahead to 2014 NV-Gov…early but Sandoval very strong

This will be the first time this election cycle that PPP will show Romney moving ahead of Obama in their home state.

Honey, do I look fat in this dress?

*You will free of your marriage. You will also be free of your children every other week-end.

PPP actually has Romney up in NC?

    Has this ever happened before?

    I don’t think so.

Hope – MD won’t respond to any of my posts. Can you find out what I did wrong? I might do it again anyway but I will apologize if warranted.

  6. Dr. SoHope says:

MD and Bitter, we are going to try a little exercise were you take turns telling me one thing you like about each others….Bitter you go first

If Paulbots didn’t have the Fed to complain about, what would their next conspiracy be about – the EPA, the Smithsonian, national Geographic Magazine, Pawn Stars? Discuss.

  8. Bitterlaw says:

I like that MD works very hard for his family and leaves his wife alone when he goes on business trips.

Sorry Bitter, This exercise isn’t working out like I hoped. Well, you’ll always have the memories.

  13. DrJay says:

I doubt the man would accept it.

  14. Bitterlaw says:

Hope – I read the article. The comments were pretty wild. For some reason, even though there were no details gien about the father or the dead man, several posts immediately said the molester was an Obama lover and/or illegal alien. Wow. That’s a bit of a leap.

  15. DrJay says:

CNN is suddenly interested in Cathy McMorris Rodgers…

For GOP star, mom, challenges go beyond Congress

  16. MD says:

So many good topics and a few useless ones as well.

    From last thread:

MFG – Through 2010, my house had actually appreciated by a total of 5% from when I purchased in Jan of 2005. I was feeling pretty smug thinking I had avoided the worst of the downturn. Since then the estimate is that my house has declined by 15%. Thank goodness I still have a lot of equity.

GF – in fairness to Rothenberg he wrote that scribe on June 5th. It is obvious that Kelly’s positioned has worsened over the last 6 days. Hard to see a win in AZ. We will get the seat eventually though.

Phil – I guess even Tommy J is starting to get embarrassed now. The WI thing was a complete joke. You can’t be a serious pollster and offer if, ands and buts. If this happens, blah, blah, blah…

That is not polling. That is cheer-leading. A serious pollster puts a stake in the ground regarding turnout.

Europe is going down in flames. Euro bonds could potentially be a solution but Merkle can’t do it politically. Screwed.

It was linked from Drudge…those people are primed for politics no matter what the story.

  19. MD says:

I wish Daniel G would come back and tell us why Romney should be deported. That was fun. I wonder where you would deport a born and raised American?

  20. Dr. SoHope says:

MD, you want to take another shot at #7?

  21. MD says:

I have always said that Tommy J’s last polls are very good. I am now re-thinking that since he seems to try and offer more than 1 result. Just imagine how successful we all would be if we could do that in every aspect of our lives?

  22. MD says:

21 – I will think of something eventually. This is a hard exercise. I mean he is a lawyer.

  23. Dr. SoHope says:

#18 Of mice and men…nice…just read it a few months ago.

  24. DrJay says:

    “This is a hard exercise.”

You really ARE out of shape, MD.

Bitter & MD, you two have to work this out…think of the children

  26. Dr. SoHope says:

  27. Bitterlaw says:

Dr. SoHope – I would also like to say that MD is a brilliant strategist. he identifies targets for destruction. When it comes to planning, he is our deepest A-hole.

  28. Mr.Vito says:

Did the truth set you free as well? Damn you, Susy! You never cease to destroy the lives of fellow Hedgehoggers with your advice! 😉

  30. Bitterlaw says:

Mr. Vito – MD and I are not fighting. He is just ignoring me. He would have to stop being a pu**y to fight.

  31. Bitterlaw says:

GF – SusyQue is like the Grim Reaper ofthreads. She kills them without mercy.

N.Y. Democrats Poised to Nominate Former Black Panther, Anti-Israel Radical for Congress
The heart and soul of the Democratic party?

New York City councilman Charles Barron may be on his way to winning the Democratic nomination for Congress in New York’s Eighth District, despite a history of racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Israel rhetoric. Barron, who has earned the support of retiring congressman Edolphus Towns, would be representing a district with a sizable Jewish population.

  34. Mr.Vito says:

You’re right… not much fight in MD these days. It correlates with the amount of Grey Goose in him, I think.

  35. lisab says:

CBC staff: Opposition to Obama is racist

Angela Rye, Executive Director of the Congressional Black Caucus, argued that President Obama has struggled during his first term due to racially-motivated opposition from conservatives who dislike having a black president.

“This is probably the toughest presidential term in my lifetime,” Rye said during CSPAN’s Q&A yesterday. “I think that a lot of what the president has experienced is because he’s black. You know, whether it’s questioning his intellect or whether or not he’s Ivy League. It’s always either he’s not educated enough or he’s too educated; or he’s too black or he’s not black enough; he’s too Christian or not Christian enough. There are all these things where he has to walk this very fine line to even be successful.”

She said that “a lot” of conservative opposition is racially-charged, citing the use of the word “cool” in an attack ad launched by Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS superPAC.

  36. MD says:

Still thinking…..something will come to mind.

  37. GF says:

Vito, your “happy” colleagues clearly did SoHo no favours in preventing a progeny from developing. I’m bypassing my non-voting status and dispatching you to look into this matter post haste.

Bitter, seeing the carnage left in her wake, I tremble at what will occur when she comes about and trains her fire on me.

  38. GF says:

34- And those Pinkos will *love* him for it. Maybe not the Jewish portion (well, most of them; the self-loathering 99%-loving Jews will eat that pro-Palestinian sh*t right up. I see it in West LA all the time), but unless I read that PVI incorrectly, that seat will happily send Barron to Congress as long as he wishes.

  39. EML says:

  49. addisonst says:

GF, I think self hating Jews are overhyped in movies. Most self haters are the hollywood types. I know a few, but they are rare. My father commented that Rahm is the only very religious self hater he’s seen. As long as he hates the teachers unions more than he hates himself…

If I cut out the soda I will be in a stupor in court. I do not have time to eat in court. I know very few diabetic trial attorneys. It is a stressful life. However, that is what I chose to do.

  53. EML says:

If my buddy can run marathons as a diabetic, I think you can make it through court 😐

  54. Bitterlaw says:

EML – You’re right. I know nothing about my body after almost 30 years and 25,000 injections. I’m glad for your friend. If I run, I will develop ulcers on my feet and spend 6 to 8 weeks in a cast.

  55. GF says:

“Most self haters are the hollywood types…”

That explains why I deal with them in West LA so much.

“As long as he [Rahm] hates the teachers unions more than he hates himself…”

    FTW!!! 😉

  56. GF's GI Tract says:

Ulcers are great, Bitter! Just ask GF; you, too, can live a full and productive life with them.

  57. Bitterlaw says:

GF’s GI Tract – skin ulcers on the feet and legs can lead to amputation. Not cool.

  58. GF's GI Tract says:

Alas, ulcers in me can lead to a signifcant portion of me being sliced off as well. Say hello to the bag, then.

Santorum’s comments when asked a question:

“Will you stand against the GOP and Romney if they start more of this bailout nonsense?” Beck asked Santorum during the interview.

“Yeah, I’ve been very clear about that,” Santorum said. “We’re here to support candidates that are the best candidates available out there to forward the American exceptionalism view of public policy, you know, limited government, free people, strong families, etc. But at the same time, we’re going to be here past the election, we’re going to be here during the election, and we’re going to be an issue oriented organization. We’re going to hold, whether it’s Gov. Romney or others, accountable for their campaigns as well as what they do if they’re successful in their campaigns.”

    This makes sense:

“Michigan leftists decided to drop their petition drive to recall Republican Governor Rick Snyder following the Wisconsin recall election. The group had only collected 2,079 names and were looking for one million signatures.”

Snyder won by 18 points. I think they would need a video of him with a live male goat before a recall would be successful.

  78. jason says:

“I have made it my policy not to be too emotionally invested in posters here.”

Me too. I have stop fantasizing about firecrotch.

  88. Mr.Vito says:

An insult? no… don’t be embarrassed… it was actually sort of touching.

  89. JesusIsAParakeet says:

You won a stanley cup in college?

  90. sir Albert says:

  91. addisonst says:

Hope the trick is to be both self deprecating and cocky. If you say that and get a bad response she needs to be jettisoned. The two keys to a relationship are the ability to laugh both at the world and one’s self and the ability to think your partner is haute

  92. addisonst says:

“The lie is that “a little bit of theft and murder is necessary for society”. We’re all indoctrinated with this from birth. But once you allow “a little bit” you have no consistent grounds to evaluate the “little bit” vs someone who wants a little bit more.

Eventually you have to either decide that theft isn’t so bad, so more is just fine so long as it serves my purposes, or you have to decide that theft isn’t okay and it can’t be approved of no matter the justification.

Constantly shifting the little bit towards the smaller size may be useful for demonstrating that we can thrive with less theft than we have now, so maybe no theft is a viable option, but so long as the mechanism for theft is there the pressures to expand that theft will be persistent.

  114. Wylie E. Coyote says:

#117 We are RINO – Republic in name only. The 14th, 16th, and 17th amendments along with the “imperial” Presidency saw to that. The “majority rules” rues of our no-choice elections aka Democracy serves as cover for the many rampant and oppressive government infringements upon our God-given individual rights.

  128. HoistTheColours! says:

Conservatives don’t like Corbett. Moderates don’t like Corbett, Liberals hate Corbett. About all he has are Conservative Dems and Main Street GOP types. (Like Bitter, Jason, MD…and I’m not sure about MD).

  129. HoistTheColours! says:

Yep, according to this poll, 26% of GOPers aren’t big on Corbett. That’s a good portion of the base.

  130. Bitterlaw says:

Corbett is a fine Governor. The budget was balanced without raising taxes. He is fighting the unions without screaming into microphones. He refused to increase funding to schools to replace the amount lost when Obama’s one year gift to the teachers funding was not renewed. Jul’s hatred of Corbett is entirely personal.

  131. HoistTheColours! says:

    No liquor store privatization
