Plurality Of SC Wants Colbert To Replace DeMint
Well every time I thought I had a few minutes today to put up a post, something else conspired to prevent me from being able to. Unfortunately that will likely be the case for a few days. But since I have some time right now, I am assuming Public Policy Polling is saying this tongue-fully-in-cheek, but the write up on the first numbers from their poll in South Carolina regarding the open US Senate seat states the following:
Haley has pretty solid numbers within her own party. 70% of Republicans approve of the job she’s doing to 22% who disapprove. But with Democrats (15/78 approval) and independents (28/57) her numbers are pretty woeful. There is a path back to popularity for Haley though: appointing Stephen Colbert to replace Jim DeMint in the Senate.
PPP then goes ahead and posts a poll on who voters in South Carolina want to see replace Jim DeMint in the US Senate.
US SENATE – SOUTH CAROLINA – WHO SHOULD REPLACE DEMINT (PPP)
Stephen Colbert 20%
Tim Scott 15%
Trey Gowdy 14%
Jenny Sanford 11%
Henry McMaster 8%
Mark Sanford at 8%
Jeff Duncan 5%
Joe Wilson 5%
Mick Mulvaney 4%
My guess is Haley has many other ways to improve her popularity other than picking Stephen Colbert. Also, if you throw enough candidates into the mix, it makes it pretty easy for Colbert to get a plurality. According to Twitter, PPP will be releasing more serious numbers tomorrow for the gubernatorial and US Senate races in SC and they tease the new numbers with these statements in Twitter.
We’ll have SC-Gov general numbers and SC SC-Sen primary numbers tomorrow and Haley’s in a worse position than Graham
—-
Lindsey Graham has really improved his standing with Republican primary voters over the last year or 2.
They are also indicating that full numbers for the US Senate race in North Carolina will be out as well and they tease us with this.
Virginia Foxx is the top choice of North Carolina Republicans to be their 2014 Senate candidate. Thom Tillis is last. Full results tomorrow
As I said above, I will unfortunately probably not be around when the results are actually released and will have to catch up later in the evening.

Redstate front page: fire Boehner!
Beohner’s tax hikes were his political obituary
Rush not impressed with Boehner, and notes that just because people “vote” for it that doesn’t make it legitimate. Boehner doesn’t have the right to raise others taxes
…
Voters would never put someone like Stephen Colbert into office. That would be like electing Stuart Smalley or Sonny Bono or someone who was in the movie “Twins” or Elizabeth Warren. Never.gonna.happen.
Foxx is okay, but I would prefer my former Congresswoman, Sue Myrick
Yolanda go away, nobody wants to listen to your garbage.
#3-Yolanda
Thanks for the wonderful political satire. Please keep it up!
77% of Latino voters support raising taxes on the rich
Don’t worry, Marco and Jeb have a plan called “comprehensive” immigration will aid the GOP for generations to come no doubt (sarcasm)
Michael–
Original name. What were you posting under before?
O’Donnell-Mourdock 2016
Latino immigration will make this country take a sharp leftward turn even more so than the Irish and Italians as bCk then you had issues like the cild war to pull people rightward. Now its all economy and social issues. The descent into a failed blue-state model is inevitable.
9th! Nueve bebe! Nueve!
Prolly gonna be Pat McHenry in that race. Foxx ain’t exactly the kinda candidate who can raise money or get enough of a work ethic to beat the hag. Plus the R’s already gotta senator from Foxx’s seat. They prolly need somebody from a different part o the state.
Look for that descent to accelerate.
We are destined to be one big blue nation.
Republicans got 59% of the white vote. Highest since Reagan……and got crushed. The electorate will be 2 to 3% less white next election. Do the math.
France here we come.
Embrace the horror.
@13 you are the only other person, besides myself, that isn’t a lunatic on this thread. Thank goodness you arrived
13- Will you stop? The white vote has gotten more Republican over time by average- and we still had problems with the white vote – or else we’d have won NH, PA, OH, MI, WI, MN, IA, CT, etc. How do you think we lost those? Not enough whites in the upper Midwest?
Yolanda you are stupid, I have always been Michael. However you and Emerica Hater, have been the shapeshifting crazy weirdos on this blog
Romney got roughly the same percentage of the white vote as GW Bush got in 2004- except he did 20 points worse among Hispanics as Bush did and about 6-7 points worse among blacks. But he still did worse among northern whites than the Texan did. So can we stop the inevitable declinist emphasis on the Hispanic and Asian vote share, and start winning them?
@15 we need 40% of Latinos, 40% of Asians, and 10% of African Americans, plus the amount in the white vote won this November and I think 2016 would see a GOP 4-point popular vote smack down
Phil is right, Sweden and Norway are only socialist because of their enormous black populations. Oh, wait…
@17 yes! Asians are going to be the easiest to bring back, mainly because the GOP hasn’t done anything too harmful that leaves them remembering in their minds that they hate us, unlike African Americans. We are getting there with Latinos if we don’t stop.
We need to get into the Asian community and figure out what issues drive them personally and go from there and get a few small political wins for the community to secure their faith. Latinos could take a 25,000 word essay, ugh
@19 Bitter your here! I can’t believe Yolanda is that stupid
20- We got 38% of the Hispanic vote for Congress in 2010- with the right candidates we can compete quite well. The Asian vote is hardly monolithic- do you mean Indian Asian? Korean-Asian? Japanese descent? Chinese? Pacific Islander, etc? The black vote will take a paradigm shift to even crack, but for us to get to 15% with them would cause a bunch of states to tip back to us- Virginia and Ohio being clear ones. Might give us a shot at the Midwest ones as well with better working class white turnout.
@22 Korean Asian, and Japanese Asian. Chinese tend to vote more GOP.
We need to try and motivate these groups to vote for the GOP.
Good Night. May Yolanda and Emerica shut up
24- Traditionally the Vietnamese as well- considering many of them escaped from South Vietnam – and did not hold the Democrats in high regard as A. The Democrats committed the United States to a full scale war, botched it, and largely destroyed Vietnam, and B. The Dems pulled the plug on S. Vietnam’s Army after Watergate and hung the Vietnamese who were involved with the U.S out to try. Unsurprising that they and theirs flocked to Reagan and his “noble cause” rhetoric when they got to California in the late-70s. Particularly if they had the experience of a re-education camp for serving in the ARVN.
Marxists make a new convert, or is that old news.
Jeffrey Inmelt says Communist China works:
“The one thing that actually works, state run communism a bit– may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.”
26- Um, is he aware of the corruption, murder, and purges at the top of their system as their economy begins to decline? Or those big impressive planned cities that sit completely empty?
When is Dave voting?
@28 when are any of us voting!?
I’ll vote at midnight.
What the freak who decided this voting procedure?
Good night. I Will vote tomorrow
” you are the only other person, besides myself, that isn’t a lunatic on this thread ”
This is pretty common among whackos.
Take a poll at any mental institution, and the inmates will always deny being nuts.
Michael is no exception I guess.
I knew Michael had issues when he said the Panthers are a great team.
Yeah, let’s just get more minority votes. Man, why didn’t I think of that. Brilliant. That ought to be simple. Piece of cake. A walk in the park. Easy pickens.
If you think that’s going to happen, you’re living in fantasyland.
Sure is nice to live in denial, however. I was there with you guys during the fall campaign. Didn’t have to deal with the reality of math – until election night when suddenly I did.
I here that Tina’secret governemtn mission is involved in investigating the counting of thew 1 and 1/2 million still uncounted votes in CA.
As an asian, I think asians vote against the GOP because of colleges. Asians are typically very poorly socialized as kids due to a culture the deemphasizes all interaction outside of the family.
When they get to college, they easily become dems because of how impressionable they are. I can’t fathom why any asian person would be a dem in California. I left because I hate liberals but also because it made no financial sense and I couldn’t imagine raising a family there. But the vast majority of asians are dems in California anyways.
Republicans have historically found alternative means of communicating with voters outside of the heavily liberal universities and mainstream media but for many minority groups; this is the main way they get their information.
Without the bully pulpit, the GOP has a real communications problem. Just look at Reagan, because he won, he had a forum to talk to the American people directly. Otherwise, he would’ve been permanently demonized as some far-right-wing kook. Even Dubya didn’t do a very good job using the bully pulpit his second term.
The GOP starts winning again when it is able to effectively communicate directly with all voters, not just the ones that go to church.
35- We did it 8 years ago, hell with Hispanics we did it two years ago. I don’t see why this is impossible.
Oh, and to begin the voting.
This bitter-clinger votes the down the line Bitter ticket.
Bitterlaw is my vote.
Before I drove down to the Capitol, I already voted absentee for HHR Governor–once back home in my home county (“early voting”).
I also voted by “absentee” here at the State Capitol (which I consider the same as “overseas”).
Plus sometime tomorrow, I will vote “on-line” (claiming that if people in Oregon can do it, so can I). Plus I think I might be able to cast MFG’s vote (“by proxy”, since he is AWOL)
And if courts declare that the polls must stay open past the normal closing time, I will vote “provisional–in person” when I return home Wed. afternoon.
Plus I have the exact same first and last name of my grandfather who died in 1919 but is buried ony 7 miles from where I live, so I think I could vote for him too, since this IS WV.
************************************
We can do all that in this election, right?
I am stuffing lots of ballots up the
A-hole ticket direction.
Colbert for Senate!
You people really are beginning to frighten me with this Election thing, here.
I am considering a General Sherman moment.
Tim is unlikable and a hypocrite.
My vote will be against him.
Breaking News – Tim threatens to make Georgia howl if he loses,
Tim has no sense. Vote for Michael for Governor
#43:
I am many things. But, a hypocrite is not one of them.
Go screw yourself, sideways.
#46- Tim
Sorry, guy. But you were scolded last week by myself and others for being a hypocrite by stating that Ron Paul, a total jerk and anti-Semite, was in the GOP,but not a word about Al Sharpton,Jessee Jackson and the Left being stalwart members of the Donkey Party.
Your campaign motto should be,” Vote for Tim the Hypocrite!”.
Good to see the GOP use its muscle to enact a Holy Grail in Michigan…..RTW.
It doesn’t owe a damn thing to the unions. Elections have consequences for THEM too, after all. Ha.
PPP proves itself a partisan joke again, Colbert? ugh
anyhow, my vote is for Bitter. Tim seems like a good guy but he’s still in denial over what works and doesn’t work. Bitter 2012!
Bayern w/ a pro-GOP post? it IS the end of the world!
btw id like to thank Apologetic California for his brilliant following of the post-election day count. Bitter is right that it doesn’t change the results but it helps in looking at the data to see where the GOP got things right and where it went wrong
#49- Mendez
My vote is against the name- calling fool and hypocrite,Tim,so score one vote for BitterLaw.
I cast my impartial vote for Bitter.
Bitter/jason took Dixville Notch. A good omen.
Bitter may end up winning NH thanks to Ayotte’s support
Well Mendez… I’m
Just giving credit where credit is due.
It seems that state GOPs, unlike their national counterparts, understand leverage and power and aren’t afraid to use it.
Boehner and Co. can learn from them.
Michigan unions are so sad looking. Unions pushed heaven and earth in Wisconsin for a year and a half. In Michigan, less than a week until they’re well and truly defeated.
Snyder to sign last piece of RTW legislation today.
I appreciate all the support but I implore you to get out and vote. Tim’s Army of Dead Voters will be at the polls when the sun goes down. Remember, parody handles can vote. I need you Em En UU, EM DEE, Jay Tee, Ian Polaris, Pool Heiress, Mexifornia! and leesa’s B’s.
“Hundreds” turnout for RTW protest.
Most people are probably wondering why unions are against the right to work.
Bitter, have you voted yet? Don’t be bashful, you are the best candidate.
I hereby declare that I am voting for Bitterlaw/jason 2012.
jason – did the Amish vote yet?
T-6 hours until first HHR exit polls.
I vote for Bitterlaw. Back to work. LOL
What: HHR 2012 Governors Race
Who: 1000 HHR LVs
Where: HHR Blog
When: 12.11.12
Leaners Included?: Yes
Bitterlaw (R) 52%
Tim (D) 36%
Michael (I) 9%
Undecideds 3%
Note: this will be our final poll for the HHR Governors Race. We project a victory for Bitterlaw by a nice margin.
From a partisan prospective, we 130+ members of the HHR Polling Report are casting our votes for Bitterlaw
“From a partisan prospective”
I think you mean perspective
Are we allowed to make write-in votes in this election?
I vote for Bitterlaw.
*enters lame joke about “dead-enders” being the solution*
LOL aren’t I so funny?
let me take a crap on the comments because it makes me feel better
oh, I vote for Bitterlaw
Christie 2016! oh that big hunk! Oh and the GOP is always going to lose, and i’ll enjoy watching them lose to see you all depressed. But i’m totally on your side.
I vote for Bitterlaw
you’re all bigots and snake dancers!
I vote for Bitterlaw
Guys, stop using names on each other like that. btw I got a clever name for the guy i’m voting for bitter-wrong LOL, you get it? kinda like that whole “Pepe” stuff? I’m always right guys so stop getting mad at me. Jeb/Brokered Convention 2012!
I vote Bitterlaw
wow, the parody handles are voting for Bitterlaw in HUGE numbers
Wow. I am overwhelmed by the support.
we’re DOOMED! DOOMNED!
oh I vote Bitterlaw
they’re coming for us. the communistic takeover is near.
I vote Bitterlaw
the thinking was Tim would win the parody handles but it seems most of his support will come from trolls
HHR Polling Report could give Paladin a run for it’s money if they nail this race tonight
Bitterlaw
The problem with Bitterlaw’s campaign was that it was not aggressive enough last month and was too aggressive this month.
God is for Bitterlaw, who can be against him?
The problem with electing Bitterlaw/jason is that A-holes will spread throughout the land.
I say this absolutely without prejudice, my best friend is an A-hole.
Brandon said so on another board, Bitterlaw 2012. I’m not here for personal attacks but you people brainwash your girlfriends. Oh and amnesty for everyone! i’m not Chek, why you ask?
Bitterlaw has my vote
the parody votes just keep on coming!
If Bitterlaw is elected, everybody will have an A-hole behind them.
jason builds barns and eats scrapple.
I vote for the English lawyer.
Bitterlaw has my vote
El Patron – as jason and I have said throughout the campaing, you need an A-hole to start a movement.
Gotta be Bitterlaw.
If the trend holds, I may have to deliver a victory speech. I never did that before. Maybe I can use one of Jul’s.
Bitter treats me nice at the club, not like MD and jason who yell “where’s my drink” incessantly, or that insufferable sock puppet who wants to be darned all the time. At most he says “may I have another soda please?”
I vote Bitterlaw.
Bitter Polaris says Tim will win, you know what that means…
my boss is a dink
just sayin
“my boss is a dink
just sayin”
we don’t care
just saying…
Bitter, wait for Tim’s concession call first, just to be polite.
Since I don’t think Gary Johnson called Obama to concede you don’t have to wait for Michael.
it doesn’t matter who wins! they’re all statists!
someone post the final numbers for HHR Polling Report, this is their first race and i’d be interested to see if they nail it. They already got that weekly job approval poll going the last 2 weeks
” Bitter Polaris says Tim will win, you know what that means…”
I looked it up.
It’s impossible to be wrong EVERY time.
btw I cant wait for MD’s epic return, where he will find his nemesis is Governor of HHR
jason – I was going to let you post first. You really energized the parody posters. You earned the moment.*
*Bunu is also crazy and I’m not taking the bullet if he’s in the crowd.
I place my vote for Bitterlaw and hereby concede to Bitterlaw. And drop out of the race
ok now I really know it’s gonna be a landslide
Michael is a fine young man. I wish him well. He brought energy and bizarre statements about football to the campaign. I hope he stays involved in HHR.
My life is hell, who hired this woman?
*3-6 Months From Now*
MD: I’m back guys!
Me: welcome back MD, hey we elected a Governor for HHR while you were gone, the good news is that he’s a Republican who beat Tim.
MD: err, ok? who is it?
Bitterlaw: welcome back MD
MD: f you Bitter, what you want?
Bitterlaw: Is that anyway to speak to the Governor of HHR?
MD: What?! You?! NOOOOOOOOO!
Breaking News – Desperate Tim seizes on withdrawal of Michael to make last ditch effort to win election. He empties war chest to buy Ugg boots, weed, and I-phones to entice Paulbots to flood HHR with votes.
Thanks Michael, you ran a positive campaign.
Having learned that lesson, good luck on the next one!
@104 of course.
I have decided to join in the crowd.
Bitterlaw for Governor
MD will lead the recall movement. Tim and his union goons will provide the labor.
Breaking News – with Bitterlaw close to victory, AuthorLMendez announces “exploratory committee” to look into running for 1 of the 2 new HHR Senate Seats
I cast a provisional vote for Tim.
At the Georgia nominating convention, however, we will elect the chairman who will immediately invalidate Tim’s candidacy and nominate a Paulbot instead.
Popular votes are meaningless.
Breaking news
Michael launches exploratory committee for HHR Treasurer.
As Governor, I will place Tim in charge of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms – at least his own.
the Dems dont have many potential nominees for these other races. HHR could end up one of the reddest areas in the country
Bitter, it’s almost time to discuss my role as Lt. Governor.
I hope I won’t just be assigned to wakes, sitting shiva, and funerals.
Bitter I think you should send jason on a trip to Puerto Rico to talk w/ the #1 show on the Island…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThsHwk3D1Qg
jason – You will also be in charge of economic development and strip club openings.
it’s too bad Tim will miss the results coming in. if only polls closed at 5am…
I concede. Or, is it secede?
Who won, anyway?
I am so happy God in his infinite wisdom has made Bitter the winner.
Bitter has a beautiful wife and beautiful children and lives in a beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood.
it’s a Christmas miracle! Tim at 12 pm!
Oh, Bitterlaw won?
That’s good.
At least, it wasn’t that tool Scott.
Breaking News – the results are coming in, we have yet to project a winner but so far results look good for Bitterlaw (R)
Hey Author, I always show up, and congratulate the winners. Read your HHR history.
Tim conceded.
Let the parties begin.

@128 I want Delaware
Although there are still provisional votes and votes in trunks of cars and behind file cabinets it appears Bitter has won.
Obviously racists and angry white males have voted in overwhelming numbers to defeat the best candidate.
This is only a temporary setback, we know eventually demographics will ensure HHR becomes a nanny site.
Every vote for Tim must be counted.

Tim, though a nice guy is irrational.
Tim lives in GA and wants to burn GA a la Sherman. Sorta like people who live in the ghetto and burn down all the grocery stores, etc in the ghetto making the ghetto that much worse.

I’m writing in Robbie/Bunu, the only true conservatives on HHR.
This voting takes too DAMN long!
With gloved hand, I vote Bitterlaw–even nthough Tim already won NY.
Majority of voters in NY are too DAMN dumb!
Some calls ready to be made:
Tim Wins close ones in MN, OR, NM, & MI
Bitter’s lead cut to 232-217
Breaking – Tim’s campaign still thinks votes arent there. Citing numbers from states like OH, VA, PA, NH, & CO
I’m sending a message
OH & VA are in, won closely by Bitterlaw
Bitter now leads 263-217, he’s just maybe 1 state away…
BREAKING! BREAKING! BREAKING!
Bitter is now projected to win CO in a close one, he now has 272 electoral cotes and is the 1st ever HHR Governor!

WI, IA, & NH all barely go to Tim. Cuts loss margin to 272-237. PA & NV are TIGHT. AK polls close now…
and the race remains too close to call in AK as Michael has gotten amazing support there
http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bCiT
Author’s exit polls are inaccurate. No exit polls released until 5 PM ET, 2 PM Coastal Communists time.
inaccurate my ass, we’re seeing a D=1 electorate w/ Bitter winning all the important groups.
Bitter is now projected to win in PA & NV with Michael barely losing AK to Bitter. Bitter is projected to win 301-237
http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bCiU
I suggest we send lisab on a vacation to the Maldives, beautiful island….
No, this article has nothing to do with it.

@157 I 2nd that
The good news just keeps coming in….
“SPRINGFIELD-In a huge win for gun-rights groups, a federal appeals court in Chicago Tuesday tossed the state’s ban on carrying concealed weapons and gave Illinois’ Legislature 180 days to craft a law legalizing concealed carry.
“The debate is over. We won. And there will be a statewide carry law in 2013,” said Todd Vandermyde, a lobbyist for the National Rifle Association.
In its majority opinion, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in two cases downstate that challenged the state’s longstanding prohibition against carrying concealed weapons.”
Breaking – Tim’s campaign is saddened by loss but say they always knew it would be hard in such a red area of the blogosphere. Proud of Tim’s performance in areas where Dem and troll base came out for him in strong numbers, including keeping his home state of GA close. Bitter campaign said to be working on victory speech as we speak
Statement by AuthorLMendez – I congratulate Bitterlaw on his victory and can’t wait for him to start governing. As for my plans to run for Senate, I am still exploring that.
I will be back after I give some interviews. I have to get these press vehicles off my lawn.

Anyone see PPP NC poll? Go sue myrick!
Hey, I wanted to apologize to everyone, especially Jason. I’ve been away from the board for the last 10 days because I took my parent to Munich and Salzburg to see the Christmas markets.
Jason’s always been keen about noting my absences so I just wanted to let him and everyone else know where I’ve been. By doing this, it negates any attempt by Jason to draw dumb conclusion.
Jeb!
Robbie screw off, this place was better w/o your trolling
I just received a call from Tim. I think it was Tim. He sounded drunk and said, “GFY’all, Yankee.” I take that as a concession. I will wait for jason to deliver his speech until I address all of HHR.
Breaking – the limos are moving as Bitter and his team moves towards the victory center. word is the campaign is proud of not screwing it up and already in talks on how to make the next election a Reagan-like landslide
POLITICO – infighting from Dems about how their most electable candidate lost the HHR Governors Race. some are calling for Robbie to run next time, but with Senate races still to come the Dems are spread thin. With AuthorLMendez already pondering a run for Senate, Dem strategist are trying to find a candidate for that race. Troubles lie ahead for Democrats in HHR
Wobbie Troll thinks he is important enough that people might notice his absence.
He has now reminded us he has been gone.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……
Wobbie Troll was not in Munich. He was in Louisiana. Here is the video.

I note that Jack or Jackbie has also been gone for 10 days.
Sorta like Clark Kent and Superman are seen together.
Just saying. Not saying they are the same person but then again who knows. Only the Shadow knows?
Okay typed that too fast. Sorta like Clark Kent and Superman are never seen together.
I took my parent to Munich and Salzburg to see the Christmas markets. – Robbie
That’s nicer than Bunu’s trip with his parents to see Dachau, Auschwitz and Treblinka. They laughed until they cried.
just you wait rdelbov, Robbie will have some sort of witty…oh I can’t do this anymore. Let’s face it, it’ll be a zzzz response
Wobbie Troll is trying to provoke me with Jeb Bush.
So let me be clear. I think Jeb Bush is not a conservative, I think his open border views are suicidal for the GOP, and his strategy that in order to win the GOP should become more like Dems is asinine.
In addition, although I am a fan of GHWB and GWB, and think Jeb was a good governor of FL, the Bush name is burned out and another warmed over Bush is not what the GOP needs to win.
However IF Jeb Bush becomes the de facto nominee, and months before the convention its clear he will prevail, you won’t see me trying to disparage and derail his candidacy. IF he is nominated, I won’t be here attacking him rather than the Democratic nominee. I won’t be making up stories about how bad a candidate he is and I won’t be calling for his staff to resign.
Like I did with Romney when my favorite candidates were defeated or didn’t run, I will wholeheartedly support him.
So Wobbie Troll, GFY.

I know you are all tired of the campaign and are anxious to hear from our new Governor elect.

hi, i’m Doctor Johnson, let’s talk over here at my Clinic For The Mentally Unstable
GFY, jason. Here goes:
I’m not sure how to deliver this kind of speech. I usually give the concession speech and then watch the winner from my couch (laughter). This feels better (“We love you, Bitter!”). – Thank you, Miss Upton.
First, let me thank our new Lt. Governor, jason was always there with me and always fighting the trolls. He also drove the tour bus and is a master at laundry. My former rival, El Patron, has also been a valuable ally and has a bright future here. (“I love you, Author. We have errands after the party!”). Also, what can I say about Walt, Michael and Tim? No, seriously. What can I say about them?
I want to thank all of my supporters, real and imagined, for the faith that you have placed in me today. When I first came to Hedgehog, it was a vibrant community of political junkies. There were more thoughtful liberals, intelligent conservatives, and few trolls. Now, in the days following a difficult campaign, we are divided. The trolls and Deadenders cast stones and offer no solutions. Well, those days are over. (Applause)
At HHR, we police our own blog. That being said, I hope that the Wizard of Hog will take steps to eliminate the scourge of Emerica. I would also like to work with Mr. Wissing so the word “Paul” can be blocked by the filter but the name Je nna is finally free.
As we embrace a brighter future, I hope that those who left will return and those who have grown tired will be re-invigorated by this opportunity. (Applause)
Thank you. God bless you (suck it, lisab), God bless The Hedgehog Report and God bless the United States of America.
time to change my handle
I will keep my new handle for one day.
Bitter you should keep that handle as long as your are Gov.
oh look, finally a story on Robbie:
http://www.theonion.com/articles/i-am-a-brand-pathetic-man-says,30545/
Sorry Mittches, don’t call victory yet. Polls don’t close until 9 PM ET/6PM PT. Don’t pull a Romney and you people better get some concession speeches ready.
I think AC is in his own world about the votes. Dude it’s over. Everyone agrees Bitter won. Even Tim.
I cast my vote for the Gentleman from Georgia, who is not committing massive voter fraud with fake handles.
Sue Myrick is as old as the hills! Go Renee Ellmers!
Oh and I vote for Bitterlaw.
As I’d actually like to beat Hagen, go Patrick McHenry.
Not my favourite Congressman from NC, but probably the most electable.
California is struggling to be relevant.
Go easy on AC.
Jul – We already put down 23 votes for Tim from you, WeAretheResistance, and Rotilargo,
” Not my favourite Congressman from NC, but probably the most electable.”
Jul is now considering electability as important???
I think this is a major breakthrough.
its too early to be thinking 2014. I’m still mainly focused on the 2013 Gov Races. In 2014 all I’m really voting for is the Fl Gov Race.
” I cast my vote for the Gentleman from Georgia, ”
Nah, I guess electability still is not a consideration….
Great speech Bitter.
Gives me confidence I backed the right man.
Let’s face it, I could have backed Author and I would still be doing chores and running errands. Worse, I would have thought I WANTED to do that.
” who is not committing massive voter fraud with fake handles.”
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Should Jul Primary Bitter In Next Race?
Yes 20%
No 50%
Don’t Know/Undecided 30%
How long is my term?
@202 we never did talk about that. what say everyone else. how many years?
Tim would be the favorite to win HHR’s governorship if only he had listened to my advice and go negative. So sad for Tim that he allowed his foes to define him as an out of touch liberal.
166.Robbie screw off, this place was better w/o your trolling
Comment by El Patron AuthorLMendez, For Bitterlaw For Governor — December 11, 2012 @ 1:41 pm
Feliz Navidad!
I only defined Tim as a drunk New Deal union thug. I will not be held responsible for the PACs.
Jul shut up you idiot Sue Myrick is best. As a former Mayor and a longtime Congresswoman from Charlotte (my former rep) she is the best candidate against Hagan
170.Wobbie Troll thinks he is important enough that people might notice his absence.
He has now reminded us he has been gone.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……
Comment by jason — December 11, 2012 @ 1:52 pm
I just wanted to clear up any confusion Jason jerk. When I was gone in April and May for training, you accused me of ducking out since things were going so well for Republicans. I just wanted to make sure you knew my absense was family related.
No to Ellmers we need Myrick to beat Hagan

I love this comment. No matter how large an ego I might have, I never thought I was doing anything to derail Romney’s chances by posting in the comment section of HHR. And yes, Romney was a bad candidate with a mediocre message.
Wouldn’t dream of primarying the new HHR Fraud-In-Chief.
That would imply a level of giving a crap that I am never going to achieve.
Jul is angry that his streak of endorsing losers continues. I will not hold it against him that he endorsed Tim. I was afraid he would endorse me.
“Zzzzzzz was your website.”
LMAO the irony and hypocrisy continues with the flight stewardess
So PPP has Hagan vulnerable and tries to make a good spin of it- sounds like the last senate election there for the Dems. I think she’s in trouble.
once again the hypocrite racist name caller can only muster zzzzz from his comments, just like lisab LOL
@215 correct she is very vulnerable, Myrick probably won’t run. But hypothetically she does well. I am hoping for Foxx, and if I have to take her, Ellmers. McHenry I say no to, he is too isolated in terms of name recognition.
if 2014 is like all Historical “6 year mid-terms”, then Kagan will be VERY beatable. However if the GOP has a 1998 or 2002 like screw up, she could win a close race using her incumbent advantage
but again we’re thinking 2014 too early. 2013 Gov races are forefront on my mind
btw the GOP didnt screw up in 2002, the Dems did. My point is that while midterms do help the parties out of power in the White House, we’ve seen some outlier years. Frankly I think the GOP has a good shot at making 2014 a good year. Maybe not a 2010-like wave, but a good year nonetheless
Less than 2 hours after the HHR Governor’s race, people have already turned their attention to 2013.
I am announcing that I will donate $25 to Gov, Christie campaign
“I am announcing that I will donate $25 to Gov, Christie campaign”
um…ok?
The messaging over this fiscal cliff fight will be important.
I think the GOP will have to peg Obama to a revenue number and then offer that revenue in things like a reductions cap. Say they held the line on taxes.
The economy will be in a recession within a year. It is inevitable. This was technically a recovery but built on the bad fundamentals. The next downturn will likely threaten a big 3 carmaker to go belly up. If that happens, messaging can make sure that Ohio and Michigan turn bright red.
COPS: Teens Ask for Smoke, Kill Woman When She Replies ‘Get a Job’…
You can’t trust smokers. They are evil.
218- Agree with 220- 2002 was a great year (other than governorships) for the GOP – first time a party in power has gained in its first midterms in generations- GOP picked up 8 or 9 seats in the House and 3 or 4 in the Senate (Jim Jeffords party switch had given de-facto Senate control to the Dems for part of the year). GOP took a lot of seats. In alot of ways, considering the 2000 election was a literal partisan tie- it was the endorsement of George W. Bush as president. James Carville put a bag over his head on live TV that night- enough said.
About 100,000 more people moved away from California in 2011 than relocated to the Golden State, according to the latest report from the U.S. Census Bureau.
it was a disasterous year for the gop
a.) roberts not only supported the federal mandate to buy a good … he did so as a tax generated from the senate … something no other senate has ever done
b.) obama won, ensuring the country will have TRILLION dollar deficits for the foreseeable future
c.) you managed to alienate women and hispanics and if anything goes wrong in the economy — it will be reported that it was because of the gop’s action or inaction
229- I’m talking about 2002…
2012 was not great- though it had some rather bright spots- Scott Walker won his political battles and was reelected with an expanded and solid margin. Indiana and Michigan(!) passed right-to-work bills. We didn’t alienate women to the extent that you claim- considering we improved from 2008 with them- just not nearly enough.
“you managed to alienate women and hispanics”
Oh I did that? my bad
I’m still waiting for lisab’s “Congratulations, Gov. Bitterlaw” card.
El Patron is Hispanic. He does all of his girlfriend’s errands and chores. He is building bridges to women and Hispanics every day.
i’m also spending $400+ on her on X-Mas Gifts Bitter, she better like them
Bitterlaw, that was one terrific acceptance speech. I also think that you may have made some history, by telling your running mate to go and do himself on Election Day.
Just don’t try to take away my guns and alcohol, and you’ll be fine.
Remember, my wife is a para-legal. We know how to deal with lawyers who get out of bounds.
Oh, and I second the idea of old friends returning. I miss all of them.
“obama won, ensuring the country will have TRILLION dollar deficits for the foreseeable future”
lisab, Obama will not have a single Trillion dollar deficit during his second term.
Tim was the best candidate Democrats could run. I have to admit I admire the old man for sticking around in the red parts in and out of the blogosphere. I live in a state that has voted for a President I despise twice now. But I refuse to give up and want to keep fighting for them. I admire Tim does the same in Georgia a state he’s seen go from blue to red
“lisab, Obama will not have a single Trillion dollar deficit during his second term.”
shut up cory, the people that it matters to are talking…
Thank you for those kind words, Author.
Author – Always remember – It is NOT the thought that counts with women. A bad gift will haunt you forever.
Tim:
I have always valued your contributions to HHR. You have never been right and I don’t know if I could ever agree with you about anuthing but it is good to have you here. Your guns and alcohol are safe. If Bunu were to disappear . . . Better not write that.
“Oh, and I second the idea of old friends returning. I miss all of them.”
you have friends?
So what do we do now that Lord Farquad, I mean Bitterlaw, is Governor?
@242 don’t tell him! He doesn’t need to know that lol
“So what do we do now that Lord Farquad, I mean Bitterlaw, is Governor?”
Micahel you could have used that on MD, w/ Bitter it doesn’t have the same bite
Michael*
@245 okay, well Author since MD isn’t here I knew I had to use the joke on someone
“It is NOT the thought that counts with women.”
that is not true
it is just that most male thoughts are stupid
have we agreed to how long a term as HHR Gov is?
@248 Lisab, I hope you aren’t labeling all males as stupid.
I will refrain from blasting the man-child on this great day. I am going to start negotiations to have direct flights from Philadelphia to Thule AFB.
Wow- the Dems in Michigan are losing their sh*t.
” I hope you aren’t labeling all males as stupid.”
case in point …
i said most male thoughts as stupid … tch
@249 every two years on off year elections. That way it covers one major election.
@253 thank goodness
@251 you should be scared there is a direct flight from State College to Philadelphia via US Airways
“you should be scared there is a direct flight from State College to Philadelphia via US Airways”
sounds like Michael wants to try and make Bitter get served
@257 he can’t be served, he is already Lord Farquad
“Wow- the Dems in Michigan are losing their sh*t.”
I know, ain’t it great?
“it is just that most male thoughts are stupid”
zzzzzzz
@259 no I find that disgusting unless they are arrested for it
Why would anybody fly from Penn State to Philadelphia? You will spend more time in both airports and in the air than just driving.
261- As I saw one of the PJ media or redstate guys mention on twitter- if the media wants to avoid having the union thug thing blow up in the Left’s face, they need to start asking some tough questions. Otherwise eventually one of these nuts is going to kill someone, and then all hell will break loose.
262 I use it as a hub Bitter, to fly to Charlotte. Frequent flier miles
I’d fly to PA to meet with the new Governor but I hate flying and I like the weather down here for Winter Time as oppose to the Winter Wonderland they got up there
Obama says Michigan RTW push is all about “politics and not economics”.
Is that why he campaigned against RTW in VA, NC and FL in 2012?
Funny how RTW for Michigan is all about politics but in NC, VA and FL its not about politics.
I say three cheers to Michigan.
@263 like Gabriel Giffords all over again except in reverse to a republican
@267 that is terrible!
“There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation… One is by sword..The other is by debt.”
John Adams 1826
the Unions apparently didn’t learn from the fiasco in WI
wow I actually felt like Susys’s comment just now was worth reading. too bad it was a quote and a quote from a President who was all about big Govt under his term
“I say three cheers to Michigan.”
here, here. I love being in a Right To Work State
http://moelane.com/2012/12/11/labor-union-goons-violent-michigan/
Yeah- because collapsing a tent of your political opponents and assaulting people is in keeping with workers’ “rights”.
More I’m concerned that one of these “union protest” mobs that forms outside GOP lawmakers homes will one day snap and do something truly vile. – ie- attack family members or burn the house, etc.
@CNBC: BREAKING: Speaker Boehner’s Office: White House offered $1.4T in new taxes, down from $1.6T earlier.
progress.
“@CNBC: BREAKING: Speaker Boehner’s Office: White House offered $1.4T in new taxes, down from $1.6T earlier.
progress.”
doesn’t matter. deal or no deal, economic pain is coming. this whole thing is useless
All it takes is one schizo or sociopath with some on the spot “authority” to get a mob mentality to turn to violence mode. It’s how lynch mobs used to get started.
I denounce the rampant FRAUD AT THE POLLS. I was led to believe that Iowa and Maine were Ron Paul Country, yet neither L. Ron Paul nor his sycophant Bunu carried either state. Just wait until the Electoral College meets, and Paultards dressed up to look like electors try to cast votes for Bunu for governor.
A team of international researchers has completed a study that suggests we will probably never find a ‘gay gene.’ Sexual orientation is not about genetics, say the researchers, it’s about epigenetics. This is the process where DNA expression is influenced by any number of external factors in the environment. And in the case of homosexuality, the researchers argue, the environment is the womb itself.
Specifically, the researchers discovered sex-specific epi-marks which, unlike most genetic switches, get passed down from father to daughter or mother to son. Most epi-marks don’t normally pass between generations and are essentially “erased.” Rice and Friberg say this explains why homosexuality appears to run in families, yet has no real genetic underpinning.
Epigenetic mechanisms can be seen as an added layer of information that clings to our DNA. Epi-marks regulate the expression of genes according to the strength of external cues. Genes are basically the instruction book, while epi-marks direct how those instructions get carried out. For example, they can determine when, where, and how much of a gene gets expressed.
which governor would be less likely to keep zombie heads in fish tanks?
I’m not sure about the fish tanks, but Bitterlaw is the least likely to keep a family member zombie chained up in a back room.
I don’t think I can wait till Feb for TWD.
It’s official, MI is right to work state, the 24th
http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20121211/POLITICS02/212110393/Snyder-signs-right-work-bills-into-law?odyssey=mod|breaking|text|FRONTPAGE
heck yeah…suck it, union scum!
283- Whoa.
“One Tough Nerd”, Snyder ran as. He wasn’t f*$*ing kidding.
None of this would have been possible without Scott Walker being a boss. “You did it, you did it!”
To him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=-RT3cx1b9ZM#t=34s
These redistricting stories really warms my heart.
Brutal, just brutal gerrymandering. WI GOP has to be the top bitch of all the state GOPs in the country.
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/182754381.html
287- I would think alot of that would also have to do with the Dems relying on ridiculous margins in Dane and Milwaukee Counties to win the state. So by definition you’d have a district that is 70-80% dem surrounded by a bunch of 60-40, 55-45. GOP seats around it. Similar dynamic to PA- I mean is it really surprising the GOP could pull off a 13-5 edge with good candidates when the O’s entire statewide margin of victory comes from PA-2 (Fattah), and only it and PA-2 prevent us from becoming Indiana at this point? I mean, is it really gerrymandering to have a large city make up an entire congressional district or two? Wouldn’t that be in line with the constituents and their interests?
W. PA. Observer,
Dude, stealing my musical references? Not cool, bro. Not cool.
The blacks and Latins like to inhabit the inner urban area’s outside the south.
So democrats can win the house vote by a million plus votes because these urban area’s vote in one huge monolith. Go to CNN election map of houses races and look at the black and Latin districts outside new england and you’ll see 70,80,90% new to the D’s name.
289- Seemed appropriate for the moment. They did after all, do it. Michigan going RTW- “In a year that has been so improbable, the IMPOSSIBLE has happened.”
Now if only PA would consider…nah, won’t happen.
next
I do like the fight in the Michigan GOP. Take it to these bloodsuckers every inch. Wish we had these same fight in DC.
As Governor, I will not harbor zombies.
I hope you don’t try to push through pig tethering legislation either.
