Cuomo Drops in NY
Some interesting numbers from the Quinnipiac University poll this morning in that Andrew Cuomo has really come back to earth. His job approval rating is down to a much more pedestrian 55% and he is a weaker candidate when matched up against Chris Christie than is fellow New Yorker Hillary in the state of New York.
PRESIDENT – NEW YORK (Quinnipiac)
Andrew Cuomo (D) 46%
Chris Christie (R) 38%Hillary (D) 59%
Chris Christie (R) 32%
This poll was done March 11-17 among 1165 registered voters. Meanwhile, Public Policy Polling had this tweet about the numbers they will release today for the state of Florida.
We continue to find Rick Scott trailing Charlie Crist by double digits…Florida Governor poll out tomorrow

While I’m sure PPP’s #’s this far out are inflated per usual, I do believe Rick Scott is in big trouble.
In fact, he may even be primaried.
#2, good.
NYC is still whining on the other thread.
I guess he didn’t like the proof I showed him on the blowback theory.
And whining I didn’t post a link to the Rand Paul immigration story because I didn’t want people to see it?

#4: Mock Christie if you like, but he’s the only electable conservative for ’16. You have no alternative, country bumpkin.
Face reality: Christie/Martinez ’16!
#10, Christie will not win the primary. Book it. He may get on the ticket, however.
F–k off Troll.
I could support Christie, but the fact a scumbag like you pretends to endorse him is worrisome.
Jason,
I am praying for you. I am trying to release you anger demons and transfer them into a herd of Amish pigs who will then drown themselves in Amos Stolfultz’ pond.
Gotta run! Going crowd surfing at Vatican Square! Rock on! LOL

I would tell # 13 to GFH but on the one in a millionth chance that is the real pope I better refrain.

Yesterday Waingro posted about how Rubio was a squish and being played by the Dems like a fiddle because he might go along with citizenship. NYC even commented on it.
We might have mass suicides at HHR.
Bunu just called the hotline but couldn’t get through.
-Again, no link, no copy and paste. I believe my comment included 4 names of other U S Senators, and then after that, Menendez was mentioned by someone else. I am worried that Rubio is being played, and I said the same thing back in January, I believe, when he first went public with the plan.

#167, @NYCMike, no that is my own comment.
It looks like Rubio is being played for a fiddle by the Dems and the squishy usual Repub suspects on immigration.
I reluctantly have been behind his proposal, because it included some border enforcement language, and I’m a huge fan of Rubio.
But now that looks like that could get thrown under the bus all together. He should get out of that “gang” now before he loses alot more credibility with the base.
-I said in January, laying down with Schumer, Durbin, McCain, and Graham was dirty business. I forget who lambasted me about that position. The comments are saved, aren’t they?
NYCmike says:

Here we have the comment by Waingro and by myself.
1) Waingro did NOT call Rubio a squish. Neither did I.
2) Both of us are worried about who Rubio is mixed up with!
Questions for jason:
1) Do you trust Schumer, Durbin, McCain and Graham?
2) Can you find a reading comprehension class somewhere in your town?
3) Can you ask some 5 year old to show you how to copy and paste?

Oh, I just saw this gem from yesterday.
NYC wants proof that Rand Paul endorses the blowback theory?
“am still waiting for the blowback theory proof,”
-Are you really that dim? Post the whole comment, put it in context. I was asking for proof that I, NYCmike, had ever shown comfort with that theory, which is what you had said. Here is your comment, #249:
jason says:
March 18, 2013 at 3:47 pm
“NYC is comfortable with Rand Paul advocating the “blowback theory”, a sick and twisted idea promoted by Bunu and the Paulbots that we “brought 9/11 on ourselves”.
The problem is Rubio.”
-Stop your lying, sleazebag. You made the statement in #249, and can’t show proof of where I showed comfort with that theory. I never questioned you about Rand Paul saying what he said, because I had already seen a Hugh Hewitt article which included that quote. Your quote in #249 was about me, not about Rand Paul.
Show your proof, or stand down, small person! No integrity whatsoever! Where did I show I was comfortable with the “blowback theory”? Where? When? Little people can see the top of your head, or is it your horse’s arse they are looking at? They are having trouble telling the difference between the 2! Sh it keeps coming out, and it smells like horsesh it, but there are only 2 legs! What a lying P.O.S this small person is!
” It looks like Rubio is being played for a fiddle by the Dems and the squishy usual Repub suspects on immigration.”
Ok. Fair is fair. I will revise the squish remark.
Rubio is being played as a squish by the squishy Republicans, Waingro did not actually call him a squish.
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy…..
Goebbels will be proud of NYC.

I stand by my comments. I think you agree with Rand Paul’s positions or you wouldn’t support him.
If you don’t agree, then say so.
Or GFY.
MSNBC has a spot open for you. You would fit right in, just make crap up as you go along. No integrity whatsoever.
#16, ah, thanks for the copy/paste, NYC.
And, no, I never called Rubio a “squish”. I (basically) said he was in a gang with immigration squishes (McCain, Graham et. al.)
And I have nothing specifically or personally against a “pathway to citizenship”.
I just strongly feel that enforcing the border needs to come first, which is what Rubio was desperately trying to sell as a pre-equisite to an immigration deal just a few weeks ago.
The news yesterday made it look like that was going to get thrown under the table. I’m sure that will be clarified soon and Rubio will address it.

A reporter for Politico says the path to a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate will run right through West Virginia in 2014.
“My story looks at West Virginia as one of about a dozen states that’s going to be important,” James Hohmann said on Tuesday’s MetroNews Talkline.
“Republicans, they feel like they can’t screw up West Virginia or else. (Without it) They have no realistic shot of winning a majority.”
#23, haha, thanks!
“If you don’t agree, then say so.”
-Go copy and paste from yesterday, it’s all right there. While you are at it, prove what you said in comment #249 yesterday.
“I stand by my comments. I think you agree with Rand Paul’s positions or you wouldn’t support him.”
-Again, go back to yesterday, copy and paste your list and my answers. Prove yourself, twerp! If the choice was between him and any Democrat in a general election, I would definitely pull the lever for Rand Paul, because I would agree with him on more issues than the Democrat, any Democrat.

Senator Walt – While I find the cut and paste war tiresome, I believe in the right of posters to engage in protracted battles. Prior to your settlement in the land of HHR, battles lasted for weeks and on multiple threads at the same time. Of course, this was when people actually kept to the topic of the threads. I haven’t done that for years but the oldsters may remember it.
All I can do is appeal to the regulars to always remember that whatever divides us, we still hate Rocky and Bunu.

Any place releasing what was in Hillary’s hacked Benghazi memos?
This immigration stuff is really starting to piss me off.
Why is the GOP so stupid that they can’t point out how citizenship to illegals is a huge slap in the face to legal immigrants who sacrificed great time and money to do it the right way?
Why don’t they go on the offensive, and attack the democrats as “not caring” for the sacrifices of illegal immigrants?
This party sux.
They could trot out some “victime” – i.e. legal immigrants — and have a press conference with them standing in the back.
MC why????
#55
Don’t understand your question.
My point is to use Democrats desire to give away citizenship as a sword against them and to lower the Democrats standing in the Hispanic community.
The GOP needs to present the public with stories about immigrants–including but not necessarily limited to hispanics–about how difficult it was to emigrate to this country.
Then, point how that giving away citizenship to those who short-circuited the process devalues to sacrifices of those who did it the right way.
Discussing these stories needsto be coupled with a plan to update the legal system.
FWIW, Club for Growth commissioned an Arkansas poll, showing Pryor’s numbers plummeting and Tom Cotton beating him easily.
http://www.nationaljournal.com/blogs/hotlineoncall/2013/03/gop-poll-shows-pryor-s-favorability-plummeting-19
MC – i agree that citizenship should not just be given away. However, we need to remember one thing when we set the tone of the debate. Almost none of us did anything at all to be citizens of the US. Nothing. We were lucky to have parents living here when we were born. Posters like jason and GF chose the US and earned citizenship. I don’t know how to fix the problem but I know that racist morons like Rocky do not have the answer.
I did not mean to diminish the contributions of our posters who are veterans. They certainly contributed to the nation.
#58
Tone is essential. But you can present a two tiered system, explain why it is compassionate to both those who came the hard way and those who did not, without insulting people.
That said, the Democrats will call us racist no matter what. You see, for all the talk about the demographic demise of the GOP, the only thing holding the Dems together is the myth that the GOP is racist.
You do realize if minority groups votes in line with their values, the GOP would be winning 40-45% of all minority groups all the time and there would be very few blue states?
The Dems are THE racist party, because they must constantly stoke racial fear in minority groups to keep them voting in percentages (75, 80, 90%) that are inconsistent with natural order.
The only reason people of any ethnic group vote in blocs of huge margins is fear: think of voters in totalitarian countries. They vote 99% for the dictator because they are afraid they will get killef if they don’t.
Although I am not equating the Dems with despots, they similarly have to stoke fear among hispanics and blacks in order to win the margins they need to win overall. Hell, in Mexico, the majority of Mexicans have actually voted for the center-right party in recent years. There is no reason that people of the same ethnicity would automatically bote overwhelmingly liberal in the US UNLESS they are afraid the GOP hates them. Same goes for blacks. And asians.
This is also one reason why I think it is critical that our next Presidential ticket NOT have a white male face on it.
You break the demographic bloc voting and you break the democrat party.
Okay MC I meant why are you trying to make this more of an issue than it already is.
????????????????????????????

Fox News ran a story 19 times, on election day 2012, about the scary black man standing outside the polling place in Pennsylvania.
Turns out he was volunteering at the polling station, and happened to enjoy wearing berets.
When someone turns on Fox News on election day, to get a different perspective, and THAT is the perspective they see… well, you can stop blaming Democrats for minorities not liking the GOP.
#67
The Democratic was historically, and continues to be, the party of racists.
I bet if 100 democrats were polled on the question of whether white people should serve as slaves to blacks for a period of time in order to equalize past injustices, a sizable percentage would say that is a good idea.
SoHope loves Chris Crocker. Come on Bitter, keep up to date with your YouTube viral videos.

Bitgash: I am neither racist nor moronic as evidenced by my support for the first Latina VP – Gov. Martinez.
You’re a hopeless neurotic…you are a basement-dweller running around only in a dirty undershirt and soiled underwear pretending to be “governor” here…LOL! You are nothing but a laughably pathetic pedant.

That’s like JT saying he’s not a racist because he knows a black person.
Rush Limbaugh Quote:
Yes, gay marriage is increasingly popular. To my own eyes, it’s astoundingly popular, and I’m very happy that it’s popular. Nearly 60 percent of Americans now support it. The Supreme Court will hear arguments on March 26-27 on a series of cases that will probably make it a lot easier for gay people to actually get married everywhere.
Does this mean Rush Limbaugh supports gay marriage?
Rush loves marriage so much he has had several of his own.
#72: No it’s actually not, dumbfuk! Supporting someone is vastly different from just knowing someone. That you fail to appreciate the distinction reveals your mental impotence.
Christie/Martinez ’16!
I should be considered the moderate here Rocky. You are shameful to all things moderate!
#75
I’m sorry, but I don’t see how a latina undercard helps us. The top of the ticket needs to be a loyal conservative and hispanic…Christie fails on both counts.
I would pretty much vote for anyone over Hillary except Rand Paul, in which case I would leave it blank. I would vote for Santorum, who I despise. Gingrich, Palin, Bachmmann, Cain. Currently I would prefer Rubio with Christie as my second choice.
As I said before, I actually prefer Hillary’s foreign policy (assuming its close to Bill Clinton’s) to Rand Paul’s, but I could never vote for the ethically challenged hag.
Oh, I would vote for Jeb Bush too.
NYC is still whining. I see Waingro saw my clarification and graciously accepted.
