  2. Tgca says:

Not bad SoHope. I could manage that. She’s got more facial hair than me though. I did not know Bunu was Italian.

  3. Bitterlaw says:

I’m sorry but I could never go in where Bunu came out.

  4. SoHope says:

Bitter, Bunu came out the other end

  5. Tgca says:

What makes you think you would be the one going in? Women have options these days, you know?

  6. Bitterlaw says:

    6 – Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  7. jason says:

Personally I don’t think Bunu had “parents”

I think he was just the result of something that went horribly wrong in the Boys from Brazil project.

  8. The Ghost of Josef Mengele says:

    What are you talking about?

    Bunu is my proudest legacy!!!

  9. Bitterlaw says:

Bunu is a reason abortion should be legal in the first 1600 weeks after conception.

  10. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

As I have said before, I now have no life and free time to be here as often as before.

Already been on various search missions upstairs for Miss Daisy, run two Miss Daisy errands to the mall and post office. Now she has a long grocery list for me to try to find at the grocery store.

If I again fail to find the package of 100 calorie chocolate covered pretzels, I will call one of you all on my cell phone for help.

Have the kids you are babysitting wash down siding, paint fences and things, go on a snipe hunt, sort our the nails/bolts/screws on your work bench, hose down jason’s horse.

    Then let them have lunch.

    Must go–chop, chop!

    Goodbye. (Beep beep…)

And, Congressional Republicans suck at Baseball. 22-0? LOL

  13. Bitterlaw says:

Tim raises an interesting point. Who would produce a better All-Star team in Congressional sports – Democrats or Republicans

    Quick hits:

    Jim Bunning

    John Runyan
    Steve Largent
    J.C. Watts

  19. Corey says:

Why is Bitter trying to get me to fight with him?

  20. Bitterlaw says:

Corey – Who is left to fight with? It’s either you or Walt . . . and I don’t want to mess up his apron.

  21. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

    I heard that snide comment.

I do NOT wear an apron

Maybe we ought to do this at the HHR prom,

  23. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

Which reminds me, did I read that lisab has moved back to MA?

Was she deported from NY for being drunk and disorderly, or sober and obnoxious, or some other infraction?

  24. Bitterlaw says:

Walt – It is difficult to get a handle on lisab. There isn’t much to grab. Zing!

  25. BayernFan says:

So Christie can appoint a solid Republican to the US Senate. Let’s see if he does.

  26. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

A Federal Emergency Management Agency official has been arrested in connection with a voter fraud case in St. Johns County.

Michel Pawlowski, 68, was named in a complaint last fall alleging voter fraud. He lives in Maryland. His daughter ran for St. Augustine Beach city commission and won.

According to the charging affidavit, Pawlowski signed a voter registration form in which he reported his legal address in St. Augustine Beach and voted by absentee ballot in the general election in November 2010, the presidential primary in January 2012, and the general election last November.

According to the affidavit, Pawlowski got a Florida driver’s license this year and also bought a house with his daughter in St. Augustine Beach this year. When asked why he registered his name as a Florida voter, he couldn’t explain, according to the affidavit.

Pawlowski is charged with false swearing and submission of false voter registration information.

  30. AuH2ORepublican says:

The only prominent Major League Baseball players in Congress were HOF pitcher Jim Bunning (Congressman and later Senator from KY) and 1950s pitcher Vinegar Bend Mizell (Congressman from NC), both of whom were Republicans. Two other star MLB players ran unsuccessfully for Congress as Republicans: HOF pitcher Walter Johnson, who arguably was the greatest pitcher of all time (417 wins, 2.17 ERA, 3,508 strikeouts), was the GOP nominee in the MD-06 in 1940; and Yankee 2B Bobby Richardson, a multiple All-Star and the only player to win the World Series MVP while playing for a losing team (he won it in 1960 after driving in a WS record 12 runs but watching Mazeroski’s HR win the Series for the Pirates), lost by a slim marging in a SC congressional race in 1976.

The Democrats have the edge in basketball, though: Bill Bradley was a star forward at Princeton and for the Knicks, and then was a Senator from NJ; and Tom McMillan was a star power forward (he was 6’11” IIRC, so he must have played some center, too) at Maryland and then played in the NBA (for the Hawks, and probably others) before he was elected to Congress from an Annapolis-based CD.

  31. HHR Psychic says:

Tebow will retire early and probably run for President for the GOP after winning his third SB.

  32. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

Saugus, California school board member Stephen Winkler may have allegedly posted on Youtube that he truly enjoys Nazi anthems, and he may also have tweeted that the school board makes him long for national socialism, but that doesn’t mean he’s a Nazi. At a forum on Thursday night, Winkler faced down critics, explaining, “I am not a Nazi.”
Suspicions have arisen about Winkler’s beliefs after someone named Stephen Winkler “favorited” a group of Nazi-centric videos, and commented on one, “It’s my favorite song, I play it all day long, everyday.” Winkler said, “I’m guilty of being very negligent with the Internet.” The board disagrees.
Parents want Winkler to step down, but Winkler said, “Tonight, I received quite specific orders from the Lord Jehovah to continue his battle right until the end.”
Winkler says that the proof he isn’t a Nazi is that he’s a lifelong Democrat. “I was a member of the Democratic Party all my life,” he stated. “How could you be a liberal Democrat and be a supporter of Hitler? That’s an absolute contradiction.”

Well the congressional baseball game is largely decided by Cedric Richmond (D-LA) being a former starting pitcher for Morehouse College’s baseball team (no slouch college ball team for sure) and apparently capable of near minor-leageu pro-level performance. He threw 7 shut-out innings and can hit.

So yeah- it was a massacre.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The word in New England on Tuesday was “Tebow.”

The next day it was all about “spirituality.”
Coincidence? Not at all. Patriots owner Robert Kraft said Wednesday that Tim Tebow’s faith-based makeup was a factor in deciding to bring the quarterback into the fold.
“He’s a winner, and the fact that spirituality is so important to him is very appealing to me,” Kraft said, according to CBS Boston.
The report included two more quotes with the word “spirituality.” Kraft was speaking from a charity event in honor of his late wife, Myra:
    – “For me personally, having Tim Tebow on this team, he’s someone who believes in spirituality, he’s very competitive, works hard and has a great attitude.”
    – “You can’t have enough good people around you, and (Tebow) has the added dimension of spirituality being so important to him, and that personally appeals to me a lot.”

the reason i get summer is that i teach during the school year and work with teens with emotional problems in the summer in massachusetts, while the regular staff take vacation time.

You are young and therefore are not used to hearing good music.

Much better than lots of the crap young people ruin their ears on today.

  70. Michael says:

72 I will probably forget and ask you again next week.

  71. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

    Here is the plan.

IF I decide to run again, I will assemble a crack team of HHR operatives to come here and do door-to-door for me while I stay home and conduct a “back deck” (not a front porch) campaign.

MFG will drive from Louisiana and pick up Tim, Arthor, Wes, rdelbov, etc. to bring one load of HHR posters.

Corey will gather up a carload on his way from Chicago to here (Add, Ohio Joe, Kim from Ohio, etc.)

jason will ‘borrow’ Amos Stolfultz’ horse and wagon and pick up you, Bitter, MD, WPA, MD, Mr. Vito, David W., and ‘Hal’ and bring you all here.

GF will be able to get here by giving false navigation data to those steering the naval ship he is on and somehow wind up in WV.

I am not sure how lisab will get here, but she is supposed to pick up NYCMike on her way south. Maybe I will tell her there is a new Ikea store opening here with everything on sale at 90% off. Either that, or I will tell her this county has been declared an “evangelical-free” zone.

She is going to bring back the stolen Harper’s Ferry Bell that we will sell to buy beer…err..I mean finance our campaign and cover our expenses.

The method used to get here by Tina is classified.

Bubu has been told I live in Hawaii, so he will head off in that direction, so we don’t have to worry about him showing up with 10,000 stained Ron and Rand Paul posters and messing things up.

You can all bunk in the garden shed if you promise to keep the noise down.

Or you can pitch tents, but there is no guarantee the ground hogs will not haul you off or will not be trampled by a herd of rampaging deer.
All this–IF I decide to run again.

  72. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

    Author, not Arthur.

  73. Bitterlaw says:

Walt – If you bring back the bell, you will be elected in a landslide while screaming GFY at Cash Cow.

  75. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

I forgot to add SusyQue will also drive here in her own car. She is bringing her pool boy.
SoHope, are you gonna ride here with the rest of the crew in the wagon driven by jason?
JulStol will be in charge of my twitter and other electronic communication
NYC will handle all incoming questions.
MFG and MD will co-chair public relations
Kim from Ohio will bring us beer and other refreshments
Author will be my liaison with the Hispanic community,
jason will be my liaison with the one Amish guy who lives over on Maple Ave.
lisab will be my liaison with church groups
Mr. Vito will by my liaison with sock groups
Bitter will handle all the defending and filing lawsuits
Wes will be mad that there is no Chili’s restaurant here.

  76. Kim From Ohio says:

  81. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

You can also be my GOTV liaison with the Russian-American community in this district–if you can find any.

  82. jason says:

    86. No, your hatred for the military and defense of terrorists is anti-American.

Your support for Hamas and denial of the Holocaust is anti-semitic.

Thanks for the opportunity to clear it up.

  83. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

    Good thinking.

Do you think you can handle all 1 Amish PLUS two Mennonites?

If you need help I can assign Kim from Ohio and Michael to work under you.

I would give you Polaris too, but he will be fisking all the polls in that race.

  84. Walt, HHR Senator formerly known as Delegate says:

Anybody want to volunteer to be my liaison with the tattooed community?

“The National Security Agency has acknowledged in a new classified briefing that it does not need court authorization to listen to domestic phone calls.”

  95. Michael says:

  96. Michael says:

  97. AuH2ORepublican says:

#49, Michael, good to hear that the GOP may get a legitimate first-tier candidate against that old socialist fart DeFazio in OR-04. 100. Tim says:

Years later, when I sent a contribution to his Senate campaign and enclosed a note about attending his perfect game and how my Dad ,who had become infirm, never stopped talking about it,Bunning called my Dad to thank him for being a fan of his. My Dad always cherished that call.

So you assume all the HR men are faithful and that their wives are loving (at least to them). Interesting hypothesis. Definitely not a postulate though. 🙂

  111. Bitterlaw says:

Philadelphia Closes 23 Schools, New $400 Million Prison Being Built
    June 15th, 2013

Philadelphia officials are closing almost two dozen schools and decimating the budgets of the remaining schools under a so-called “doomsday” education plan.

However, amid all these cuts for education, the state of Pennsylvania is building a new $400 million prison for Philadelphia.

  115. Tgca says:

Hmmm…now that I think about it. Me thinks Susy is being a little kinky here. Her statement of “all the fine men at HHR” can be read in a manner than I first observed. Hmmm…Susy you little tiger you. Grrrrgh!

  116. SusyQue says:

I have deep respect for men in general. I just have to look around and see beautiful buildings, bridges, farms, roads, highways, automobiles, furniture, ships, and all the works that go on underground…and in the air. Most men are born leaders and amazingly creative, and brave. The Bible says men are to love their wives as they do themselves; and wives are to respect him, honor him, prefer him; esteem him; and defer to him.

  117. jason says:

Typical MSM BS making it look like PA is closing schools to build prisons when there is really no connection.

    These people have no shame.

Time for me to study for the required written drivers test to renew my license. Only 3 mistakes are acceptable! Each question or statement has a…b…and c…choices. Is it just California that requires a written test every 5 years?

  129. lisab says:

    massachusetts driving question 1:

a driver is driving 55 mph the wrong way down a one way street approaching a rotary with one hand adjusting the radio and the other holding an extra large dunkin donuts coffee. a driver already in the rotary is speeding up so that the driver will not be able to enter the rotary smoothly and the drive applies the brake to avoid an accident, spilling his coffee in the process. identify where the driver went wrong.

a.) the driver should have ensured the top of the coffee was secure before leaving dunkin donuts.

b.) the driver should have accelerated into the rotary before the other driver could cut him off.

c.) the driver should not have been driving 55 mph … 75 is the standard speed on all massachusetts roads.

  130. Tgca says:

Remember, different states have different traffic rules so be aware. I remember this question from my Jersey written test which did not apply in CA I learned (from experience).

As you approach the intersection in a school zone, the traffic signal light turns yellow. You should:

a.) come to a complete stop at the traffic signal light

b.) slow down to 15 mph and proceed with caution and be aware of your surroundings for pedestrians

c.). beep the horn and step on the gas.

Obviously, the correct answer in Jersey is c.)
