Seeing these VA numbers distresses me….we should have elected Hillary so that Gillespie would have a better shot in that state.

  7. Robbie says:

Sad to see NYCMike has fallen for the Seth Rich conspiracy theory. Last week, FoxNews contributor Rod Wheeler made wild claims and then had to totally back away from them. Now that Wheeler has backed off his claims, the Trump Chumps have fallen for some bozo on Twitter who tweeted at Sean Hannity. Too bad they haven’t realized this asinine story was realized as chaff to divert attention away from the awful couple of weeks Trump has had. How’s that working out?

  8. Bitterlaw (Trump sucks but Hillary would be worse) says:

    – If your boy Ted Cruz hadn’t tanked the Republican brand right before the 2013 VA governor election with his phony Obamacare filibuster, Cuccinelli probably would have won. Now, Trump’s problems are hurting Gillespie.

  10. Robbie says:

A great link to Hannity and the Seth Rich conspiracy theory.

  11. Wes says:

That’s bulls hit, Robbie. Cuccinelli hadn’t led in a poll since summer and was running an erratic, divisive campaign. He was on track to lose regardless of the shutdown. The shutdown didn’t help, but Cuccnelli was too far gone from the beginning to win.

  12. Wes says:

Gillespie is a great candidate while Northam and Periello aren’t–to say the least. I still Gillespie wins.

  13. Wes says:

By the way, Mike, I hope Trump can make VA a GOP bastion again. Losing it completely to the moonbats would only embolden the Left to adopt similar tactics in other Southern states.

  14. NYCmike says:

It is a great link, Robbie.

Does it strike you as a bit odd that the family of a murdered man would NOT want every resource directed to finding the scum that murdered their son?

I have no idea if Hannity is a moonbat or not, but his record (opinion about Obama in 2007 and 2008, judgment to stick with Trump as capable of winning) shows him to have some “street cred”, as the young kids say.

I say go forward with the investigation, and see where it leads.

Why would you, or any parent, be against that?

  15. NYCmike says:

“I hope Trump can make VA a GOP bastion again.”

-I won’t underestimate him again, Wes. Hopefully he can keep it close, and then surprise the numbers people.

  16. Wes says:

Hannity also supported the Iraq War, defended your buddy Dick Mourdock, endorsed Christine O’Donnell, and said he and Sarah Palin would start a new party after Cochran beat McDaniel. (Where is that new party anyway?)

    He’s an egomaniacal loon.

  17. NYCmike says:

“him” is Trump, “he” is Gillespie.

  18. Wes says:

Trump should surreptititously pull out all the stops to help Gillespie win.

  19. NYCmike says:

“Hannity also supported the Iraq War” – as did 97 United States Senators and 75% or more of the country, at one point.

“defended your buddy Dick Mourdock” – against the Democrat, YES, I am sure he did.

“endorsed Christine O’Donnell” – YES, more Republicans voted for her than for the incumbent in the primary – never said he had a perfect record.

“and said he and Sarah Palin would start a new party after Cochran beat McDaniel.” – if YOU say so.

“He’s an egomaniacal loon.” – I would bet you up against him, ANY DAY, in a contest of egos.

  20. Cash Cow TM says:

  21. Cash Cow TM says:

There is a link above saying that very thing!

  23. NYCmike says:

    I hate brussel sprouts….

  24. Wes says:

Go watch the archived footage from Hannity’s show for the night Cochran beat McDaniel, Mikey. Then tell me Hannity and Palin didn’t say they were going to start a new party because Cochran won.

  25. Wes says:

By the way, Mikey, Castle wasn’t the incumbent for the office he and O’Donnell were seeking the nomination for. You really should brush up on your knowledge of politics.

  26. Bitterlaw (Trump sucks but Hillary would be worse) says:

Breaking News – I once tried Brussel sprouts. I did not like it or hate it. I will not try it again.

    – I’m not a Cuccinelli fan by any stretch, but he outperformed the polling on election day by quite a bit. The final RCP average had him losing by 6.0%, but the actual margin was just 2.5%.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2013/governor/va/virginia_governor_cuccinelli_vs_mcauliffe-3033.html

I think Cuccinelli was a flawed candidate, but the hit the Republican brand took in the month before that election definitely hurt him. Heading into the Fall of 2013, Republicans were even with Democrats in the Congressional ballot question and Obama’s approval was low. Yet, McAuliffe won.

Matt Bevin ran an erratic campaign in 2015 and trailed in every poll, but won. He didn’t have to deal with a goofy government shutdown though and pulled off the surprise.

Why would you, or any parent, be against that?

    – What strikes me as odd and pathetic is the way people are using the death of a 24 year old for partisan purposes. Leave this family alone. Stop with the conspiracies. His death was a tragedy, not some wild plot to silence a WikiLeaks operative.

And by the way, WikiLeaks lies. They have known ties to Russian intelligence. Stop with this crap.

  30. Wes says:

Robbie, the difference between Bevin and Cuccinelli is that Bevin fit his state and made amends with McConnell to get the entire state GOP behind him. Cuccinelli split the VAGOP and hijacked it with a Paulbot maneuver to remove voters from the nomination process. He also had E.W. Jackson on the ticket with him. Cuccinelli was also less popular than McAuliffe–unlike Bevin, who faced off with an opponent who had previously run a divisive campaign.

The shutdown didn’t help, but Cuccinelli was going down anyway. He was just that bad a candidate.

There is a link above saying that very thing!

    – The “he’s not Hillary” and “but Gorsuch” arguments lost their effectiveness a long time ago. After four months, we have a pretty good indication of how Trump’s going to act as president and it has now made Speaker Pelosi a real possibility.

Robbie – There is nothing guaranteed in politics. I am content that Hillary is not the President and that Gorsuch is a Supreme Court Justice. We can assume that President Hillary would not have been popular by 2018 but what if she was? We might get Speaker Pelosi anyway with President Hillary. Impossible to know. You fight to win the battle you are in and, for me, 2016 was the battle to stop Hillary.

Reports did not say Trump mentioned the word Israel. Just that he had shared Israeli intel with Russians.

    Acosta is dumb.

  44. Bitterlaw says:

Tina – I never like to see people taking the 5th. It looks like there might be something suspicious. It does not prove that one way or the other.

  45. Tina says:

Its one legal right, even though it does look suspicious, that I agree with.

    Hiwever, in his case,

The fbi cleared him on 1/24 per the wp.

The paper work crime law was likely biolated, but he fixed it right away, and if you read the article I posted on the other thread from a lib., everyone ignores that law, and nobody is ever thrown in jail.

So, even if he agreed to testify, the sp may shut it down. See Senator Grahams remarks about that.

That is one more reason why the sp is brilliant.

  46. NYCmike says:

Just to sum up today, so far:

    -“S.P.’s are brilliant”.

-Robbie does NOT want to investigate murders of people who are Democrats.

-Bitterlaw thinks “pleading the 5th” means you are guilty, MAYBE. Tina AGREES!

  47. NYCmike says:

” After four months, we have a pretty good indication of how Trump’s going to act as president and it has now made Speaker Pelosi a real possibility.”

-While Trump is not without blame, lack of activity from Congress WILL BE the main culprit in 2018.

Hopefully, any activity they do embark on will be of a limited-government type……

  48. Bitterlaw (Trump sucks but Hillary would be worse) says:

    – Wrong, but not surprising coming from you. The police and investigators should find out who murdered this young man. What I’m sick of is the Trump Chumps using the death of a 24 year to promote their insane conspiracies theories. It’s disgusting and anyone who pushes this nonsense should be embarrassed.

So stop trying to claim something I never wrote. It’s a nice piece of deflection on your part, but it won’t work.

  51. NYCmike says:

(lighten up, Robbie, just messing around with you).

    – It’s simply delusional to think monumental reform of healthcare or tax reform is going to occur while the president is tied down by investigation.

It’s just not going to happen. In 1998, nothing got done as Clinton fought off the Lewinsky scandal.

  53. NYCmike says:

“In 1998, nothing got done as Clinton fought off the Lewinsky scandal.”

-What was the make-up of Congress in 1998?

    Different than today?

I don’t expect miracles. I expect good, conservative legislation that red-state Democrats will have a hard time saying they are against, or answering questions about why the rest of their party is against.

Very simple, politics 101. Put your opponent on the defensive. Trump and his “scandals” will take care of themselves over time.

I asked you this the other day:

Can Congress chew gum (deal w/ “scandals”) while walking (normal legislative work)?

  54. NYCmike says:

    Robbie,

Again, “monumental reform” would be great, if it is conservative in nature.

Otherwise, I will take incremental change, and a push towards freeing up the health insurance marketplace from the too many government mandates.

Make the Democrats answer questions about why does state and federal law make it harder for clinics to provide basic healthcare functions, instead of poor people having to resort to emergency rooms and the like.

  55. Tina says:

Ny mike, i said the sp is the best way at this stage because it re sets everythung and shuts out Congress.

The rinios in congress now have no excuse at doing nothing.

  56. Tina says:

I think it is unfortunate that seth died.

With that said, i do not know if he was the leaker or not. I believe the hack was an inside job.

More importantly, it is evident that the dc investigators impaired thr investigation through their shoddy efforts. I mean no investigation of or review of any cameras at the bar, or nearby streets?

  57. Tina says:

They never even interviews anyone at the bar. That is just shoddy work.

  58. NYCmike says:

” That is just shoddy work.”

-Which leads to…….simple solution…..Hannity pushes for a complete investigation (as did Gingrich).

This is NOT a bad thing.

  59. Tina says:

Given the sp route or the republican dumb arses and the drat idios, i go with the sp.

Not a perfect situation, but I guarantee the leaks will be reduced significantly.

You will not have mcamnesty popping off to cnn, or the other stooge

  60. NYCmike says:

“Ny mike, i said the sp is the best way at this stage because it re sets everythung and shuts out Congress.”

    -Yes, Tina, I understood that.

I just needed 3 bullet points, so I could slip in the one about Robbie in between the other 2.

Cheers, and Thanks for your help.

  61. Tina says:

It will have to be looked at by the dc police.

The surveillance images at the bar coukd still be available, or likely not.

Potential witnesses or the murderer at the bar are now dispersed. Not easy to put the broken egg back together.

  62. Tina says:

You may habe not process crimes, and there is now a guarantee that leakers will be looked at. Comgress, because the rs are lame, react and never go on offense. So, the rs do not care about the leaks. Theynare concerened with muh russia, even though nobody has gone on record to substantiate any collussion, or atate specifically how Russia interfered.

  66. janz says:

Here’s a detailed, link-provided timeline starting with the tangled interlocking web of the DNC’s Russian-linked cyber security firm (CrowdStrike), leading forward to the DNC prohibiting the FBI from checking it’s computer network for hacking, to the timing of Rich’s death, wikileak exposure of emails, calls to Rich’s family, Comey/Clapper’s conflicting comments and conduct all the way to the echo chamber of dems looking for Russian collusion today.

When you put it altogether it creates what appears to be a very orchestrated cover-up story.

  67. NYCmike says:

NYCmike, I know Robbie has stonewalled the entire Seth Rich atory. However, while I don’t wholly support the narrative, I also don’t wholly discount it either. Politics is usually not on the up-and-up, with lots of ethical derelictions we never hear about. So, I’ll continue reading whatever unfolds about yet another death associated with the Clinton’s never ending ambitions and rise to power.

  71. Trump says:

Anybody who testifies to congress or FBI is a fool, and deserves jail time just for that.

    With or without immunity.

    Remember Scooter Libby.

  72. janz says:

What I take issue with about Comey’s supposed “memo,” is that it was supposedly written right after his interaction with Trump. What makes it a truthful accounting of what was really transmitted between the two men? It’s merely either his perspective of the conversation, or worse yet, a compromised version of it to accommodate his own narrative, as a CYA insurance policy.

  73. janz says:

Today someone was asked why Flynn would take the 5th. The droll response was that “He has a good attorney.”

  74. Tina says:

The problem with the memo is that he testified on 5/3 saying the opposite.

So, if the memo exists, and Imdoubt i does, it contradicts his sworn testimony.

Perjury before congress and stealing gubment records.

He woukd be stupid to testifynat thus stage before congress, in light of the sp.

And if/when, she does a coakley, i will be so happy.

I vote straight r ticket, you know.

    – Hardly, Tinfoil. Frankly, I’m pissed Trump chose so many sitting House members and left the party open to embarrassing special election losses.

  100. Tina says:

Cris Hayes has just reported there are a lot of ‘Trump Type’ people in Manchester who would do this.

    Wtf?

  101. Robbie says:

What’s comical is Tinfoil hates all things Republican except for Trump, but then criticizes others for not being sufficiently pro-Republican. Hard to reconcile those two views.

  102. Phil says:

No wtf about it, Tina. MSNBC is now cable #1 with CNN nipping at their heals. The more crap you throw at Trump the higher the ratings. Dropping the hammer on Trump is ratings gold.

  103. Tina says:

Phil, the more unhinged they are.

It is bush on roids, times 100.

    But trump is not silent.

  104. Tina says:

Yup, i hate spending cuts, tax vuts, chopping regulations, freezes, sealing the border, and deporting illegals.

  105. Tina says:

I sound like the ky drunk.

  106. Tina says:

I do critize goober and mcamnesty a lot, well because theyndeserve it.

    – That and Fox has totally gutted its long standing prime time lineup. The big shakeup and the lackluster replacements have not been good for Fox.

I do critize goober and mcamnesty a lot, well because theyndeserve it.

    – And yet in the nearly two years since Trump entered the race, I have yet to see you offer one criticism of Trump.

  109. PresidentPaul! says:

McCain was worse than Obama as a candidate. That’s why he lost to him.

  110. Phil says:

Tina, you think it’s wild now. Wait until the midterms when Democrats actually gain control of the House and control the investigational apparatus of committees.

He’s at 37% with Gallup and this is the honeymoon period of his administration. Outside of the fact that he is not Hillary I can’t think of a single upside with this guy. I guess that is as good as we’re going to get.

  111. Phil says:

Still. Trump is doing what he can and administratively and I like his court appointments. He is doing what he can.

  112. lisab says:

“– No. I chose not to vote for Trump. After he won, I tried to give a second look/chance and was very happy after Gorsuch was nominated, but the last two weeks have really turned me off Trump.”

as opposed to … the huge supporter you were before?

  113. lisab says:

this report gives an idea of how trump is doing

“The Democratic National Committee reported its worst April of fundraising since 2009, according to Federal Election Commission records released Monday.

The DNC reported taking in $4.7 million last month. While this is an off-year for fundraising, the DNC hauled $8.5 million last year, and nearly $5 million in 2015. Between 2010 and 2014, the Democrats received anywhere from $6.3 million to $14.4 million per year.

However, the drop in donations coincides with an effort by DNC Chair Tom Perez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to rally support for the party. The two traveled the country on a “unity tour.”

The Republican National Committee’s April numbers more than doubled its counterpart. The RNC reported raising $9.6 million in April and holding $41 million cash on hand. The DNC said it has $8.8 million on hand.”

  114. lisab says:

the dems are in a bind

the hardcore trump haters like robbie and md are still giving,

but the rank and file are not as energized as msnbc would have you believe. the regular folks on the other hand don’t like the constant bashing of their president

on top of that, obama is raising money for himself, and not for the party

  115. Walt says:

    New Tread, Fred.

  116. lisab says:

the only bright spot the dems have is the senate fund, where both parties are in the red, but even there they are minus $7 million compared to the reps which are minus $700 thousand

the reps have almost double the money the dems have in the congressional fund, $31 million to $16 million — which isn’t really that much —

but the national committee has $41 million to the dnc’s $6 million and is out raising almost 2 to 1

in 2014 and 2016 the dems were out-raising the reps by about $3 million a month

  117. Tina says:

Well the drats and the rs in our side, phil, wont give him a chance.

I will, like to see actual evidence of collusion and proof that russia interfered.

  118. Tina says:

    Gallup is of adults, phil.

  119. Tina says:

And its faux faults, thise little rich arses, murdoch boys.

    Ruinned the network.

Promite shepardlynsmith, geralidne river, the drunk, and fire oreilly?
