“So far the swing is to Tory so EP may be way off again.”

    -That would be a SHOCKER!

  6. BayernFan says:

only 3 results in 3 safe Labor districts

  7. jason says:

Conservative vote is actually up, they are inheriting some of the deadender votes.

If that holds then it should help in some of the marginal seats.

Another piece of good news, it looks like the Scottish independence morons are losing ground too. It’s possible much of the labor gains will be at their expense, not the conservatives. That would be good since the Labor Marxists in Scotland are against independence too.

    Let’s see.

RunDown:?Comey swore under oath he released the memos due to Trump’s tweet on May 12th regarding the “tapes” when Trump claimed Comey had better be worried “tapes” of the conversation.

But NYTimes has already run a story about the memos the day earlier on May 11th

Trump then tweets on May 12th (meaning this messes up his time line.)

What color graphic does labour get?

Democrats used to be communist red but they switched it on the networks and Fox won’t change it back.

  13. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Comey is awful; he comes across as a thin-skinned whiner, who was not mature enough to do his job. No wonder over the last year people from both parties wanted him out.

In saying this, not absolving Trump from his own stupidity — he needs to realize he is no longer a corporate executive who can fire people at whim. Like that Trump is disrupting the old order, and it takes someone as brash as him to do it. But like all disrupters, he needs some level-headed people around him to pull him back when he starts flying over the ledge.

  14. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    14. “The Conservatives have a popular gay leader in Scotland, she voted with her partner and her dog…..”

In my state you will soon be able to make your dog your legal partner, and vote your dog into elective office.

  17. Phil says:

Agree with SD about Comey. Also agree that Trump is stupid stupid stupid. The list of times he has shot himself in the foot is endless and it never ends.

I like his policies but geeez.

That said, he doesn’t have to worry about impeachment, ever. As long as his approval is in the mid 30s the Democrats are glad to see him in the WH for 2018.

  18. jason says:

Not all the Marxists believe the exit poll….

“Another Labour hopeful in a marginal Midlands seat was far more sceptical. “I don’t believe it. This does not take account of postal votes. There is no way we have gained 34 seats,” they said. “Look at the swing against in Sunderland. That could cost us seats in areas like mine.”

Two others in Labour-Tory marginals also privately voiced similar concerns.”

  20. jason says:

Farage is getting killed… couldn’t happen to a nicer racist turd.

  21. BayernFan says:

Farage is not the leader of UKIP anymore.

  22. Trump says:

    Don’t confuse the idiiot.

  23. Trump says:

Trump is cruising to reelection, and the dimwits are whining about trump.

Without his tweet, the nutjob comedy would still be pretending that there was a trump investigation going on.

  24. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    20. Phil, your right. If they forced Trump out, it is possible that Pence could turn out to be a popular president, and help keep the Republicans in control. The Democrats are better off with a wounded Trump.

  25. Tina says:

Hi gang, what more can I add about comedy.

A political hack, dirty cop, and overmatched,

Btw, he admits to leaking. The document is gubment property, so he can face jail time.

  26. Trump says:

So the nutjob comey had nothing but a whine fest about getting fired.

  27. Tina says:

Actuakky katy turd wrote about it on 5/10 or 5/11.

  28. Tina says:

Would have been better if a senator had asked exactly what trump lied about.

Senator Mcamnesty had a bad day.

  29. Trump says:

Pence becoming president is more delusional than brokered convention lunacy.

Pence is not that popular even in Indiana. He barely won in 2012, and was on path to lose in 2016 until trump bailed him out.

  30. Tina says:

She is stunned. She was likely friendly towards comedy at the beginning.

  31. PresidentPaul! says:

  35. Trump says:

  47. Robbie says:

Initially, the exit polls in Great Britain looked to be way off. Now, maybe not so much. May ran a weak campaign, but the polling was all to the Tories. One group of polling showed the Tories by 10 or more. Another set showed the Tories ahead by mid single digits.

At least for now, it seems like there was a major polling failure in Great Britain. One explantion could be the collapse of the third parties like the Lib Dems and the SNP in Scotland.

  48. Robbie says:

The British election watchers I followed on Twitter suggested a Tory majority of 60 or so. That would have translated into about 355 seats. While the Tories could still get a majority, any comfortable majority doesn’t seem likely.

  49. PresidentPaul! says:

Theresa May targeted the British people and the victims rather than the terrorists (or at least that was the perception)

    Same mistake mistake Bush made.

  50. Robbie says:

My guess is there will be another British election in the Fall. Corbyn will remain the Labour leader, but May will be out. My guess is Boris Johnson will become the Tory leader.

I thought the gamble May took would pay off in spades, but it doesn’t look that way now.

Thus far into Trump’s Presidency, I have a few thoughts.

First, I don’t think John Ossoff is going to win. I’m thinking he will get 48 or 49%, but Karen Handel will probably pull off a last minute win with the influx of money.

Second, I never expected little to come from Comey’s testimony, for better or for worse.

Finally – I see that Bitter is saying that Trump sucks but Hillary would be worse. It’s hard for me to envision our Nation succeeding under Hillary, so we can certainly agree on that. Stocks are up, unemployment in MD is 3.9%, we are not majorly involved in any foreign wars, and our respective relationships with Russia and China are not as icy as they once were. I’m trying to see the silver lining here, and we are holding together. However despite those silver linings, our nation becomes more and more divided every day.

It wont be Russia or China who takes down the United States – it will be our own bitter divisions.

His optics are terrible, except that he does not care, similar to the campaign.

The actions that he is constitutionally supposed to take, choosing judges, trimming regulations, conducting foreign policy, etc, I give him a solid B.

If the Congress would do their work, maybe Trump would have more successes.

    STILL WAITING!

If you are looking for an ideological leader for the conservative movement, TRUMP IS NOT THE MAN FOR THAT!

Ryan, McConnell, along with Pence should be working overtime crafting conservative legislation. If they can’t, a talk-radio host has several books out with some ideas. I would love to see which “Republicans” would vote for them……

And more importantly, I have not made any prediction about 2018. You can tell yourself something else if you want, but I’ve laid down no firm marker.

The Tories almost always out perform the exit polls, 322 is technically a majority since the 5 Sein Fein MP continue to refuse to take their seats in Parliament. But a working relationship the the North Irish DUP will make it a somewhat stable majority that will last until 2022.

The countdown is now on for when PM May resigns her position, she has gamble and she has lost. Her credibility and strength is now in question especially in the EU, she can no longer lead negotiations for BREXIT.

    – Not that I expect you did much research, but May has won as high a percentage of the vote in Great Britain as Tony Blair did in 1997 and Thatcher did in 1983.

I highly doubt you knew of the Lib Dems or suspected their collapse would benefit Labour. In polls, The Tories basically matched their average. Labour outperformed their polling and got their highest vote share since 2001.

So please, give me a break. Lameness of May had ZERO to do with the vote. The consolidation of the Lib Dems by Labour is the factor.

    – Not sure I can agree with this. The Tories are on track to get their biggest vote since 1983. Their on track for 44% or so and they got just 37% in 2015. That hardly suggests they’re badly split. In the end, the Lib Dems went to Labour more strongly and more uniformly than UKIP went to the Tories.

  179. Jonesy says:

Mike, another big factor is Brit version of never trumpets. These elite Yorkers were in the remain camp, and wanted to revenge by voting for a commie

  180. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Comey actually took a shot at a lot of the news stories; he basically dropped bombs on the Russian conspiracy crowd. From The Hill article:

“Comey took a broad swing at news reports based on leaks of classified information on Thursday, saying that many of them have been “dead wrong.” But he also noted that the FBI’s policy is to refrain from commenting on such stories, leaving inaccuracies unclear or unspecified.

“The challenge – and I’m not picking on reporters — about writing stories about classified information, is the people talking about it often don’t really know what’s going on, and those of us who actually know what’s going on are not talking about it,” Comey said. “We don’t call the press and say, ‘Hey, you got that thing wrong.’”

  181. Jonesy says:

    Tories not Yorkers. Sorry

  182. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    192. You have a good point, but I would have thought the Conservatives would have picked up additional votes with the poor showing of the small parties and the fact Corbyn was such a far leftist.

  184. Robbie says:

    SDC

Clearly, it was a mistake to assume UKIP transferred to the Tories. In fact, there wasn’t a lot of uniformity in how their vote went.

Basically, the late deciders went with Labour (which explains how they outperformed the polls by 10% from 2015). On top of that, the Lib Dems were gobbled up.

  185. Trump says:

Has St. Louis reported yet? Or philly?

Jonesy has a good point too. Add all the causes together and this was a debacle, it gives credibility to a crazy leftist loon, who ran on a ridiculous platform.

  187. Robbie says:

Yes, May was an uninspiring candidate, but she still got the most votes for the Tories since 1983. Her dullness wasn’t the deciding factor. They matched the pre-polling average. It was the decline of Nick Clegg and the Lib Dems.

Observers suggested that a high turnout among young voters may have helped Labour gain seats in a country where the biggest political divide is to be found between the young and the old. Labour does “8 percentage points better than the Conservatives among the very poorest, 15 points better among the jobless and 25 better among those who voted against Brexit.
