So Proud ObamaCON, our visiting Marxist, really wants to tout Obama’s economic record?

    Really?

The worst “recovery” in history? Record number of people on food stamps? Lowest labor participation? Lower unemployment only because so many people gave up looking for jobs. Wage stagnation. 19 trillion in debt.

Shortly thereafter, Mayweather popped into the comments of the post with an apparent vote of approval for Green’s support, writing, “Splash for the cash,” followed by the hashtags #warriors and #michigan. (That Green played his college ball for Michigan State, rather than in Ann Arbor, is neither here nor there.)

Never one to allow anyone else to get the last word if he can help it, McGregor showed up in the comments, too, taking Green to task and clarifying just whose No. 23 he was wearing:

“That’s C.J Watson mate,” McGregor wrote. “I don’t know who the f*** you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay i school.

“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.j when I don’t know or give a f*** about basketball,” McGregor continued. “I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”

Perhaps you, too, are wondering why McGregor would choose the No. 23 that C.J. Watson wore for the Warriors between 2008 and 2010.

“The RNC started the year with $25.3 million in cash on hand. Now it has $44.7 million. The DNC started the year with $10.5 in cash on hand. Now, that has fallen to $7.5 million.

As of June 30, the RNC reported $0 in debt. The DNC reported $3.3 million in debt.

A look inside the numbers is even worse for the DNC. Looking at collections from small donors — that is, those who contributed less than $200 — the RNC raised $10.5 million in the months of May and June. The DNC raised $5.3 million from small donors in the same time period.

The RNC’s money total is a record — more than was raised in any previous non-presidential election year. That is true for June, and for all of 2017 as well. The $75.4 million raised this year compares to $55.4 million for the same period in 2015; to $51.2 for the same period in 2014; to $41.1 million for the same period in 2013, and so on going back.”

The question will be if Trump is vulnerable to a primary challenge then. For the first time, am starting to hear some people I know who are Trump loyalist grumble. He is going to have to get his political act together. If he does, then Trump might win as a result of a bloody Democratic primary fight leaving the Democrats badly divided.

  18. San Diego Citizen says:

Good grief. Frankly am unsure as well, what is the replacement bill that Trump is supporting? Shouldn’t a CEO of the country know?

“Two days later, some Republican senators left a White House lunch confused about what Trump was asking them to do on health care. Sen. Congress is a co-equal branch of government, and in regards to legislation, has more power than the Executive Branch, aka Mr. President.

YES, Trump could take charge, but as a conservative Republican, I do not want Trump, a man who donated 54% of his political $$ to Democrats, making the choice on what to pass. Those reasons are why the story is likely incorrect.

    – There is no longer a 60 vote threshold for filibusters on nominations. More importantly, Trump is not worried about that. He can simply recess appoint Rudy in August so long as the Senate goes out of session for more than three days. The appointment would then last until the end of this Congress which would be the end of 2018.

And more importantly, do you really think Trump would nominate anyone who has indicated he or she would recuse from the Russia investigation? Of course not. If he recess appoints Rudy, Rudy will likely fire Mueller on Trump’s order. Then we’ll witness one of the greatest political firestorms of all times.

Regardless of the outcome, it’s really disappointing to see Sessions get treated this way. He wasn’t my favorite Senator, but he was Trump’s first big endorsement and he gave up 20 years of Senate seniority and a seat for life to hop on this crazy train. Sessions deserves better treatment.

No, you should retract it because even the Rosenstein quote does not imply the AG’s job is to be loyal to Trump.

My point was that Rosenstein was an Obama holdover as an explanation of why he would appoint an IC and why Sessions would not.

Rosenstein was appointed US Attorney in Maryland in 2005 by GWB. In fact, it was Obama who was lobbied to keep Rosenstein on the job and he did. Even better, GWB nominated Rosenstein to be an appeals court judge for the fourth circuit in 2007, but he was blue slipped

I am not a Trumper, but I do think Sessions made a huge mistake in recusing himself.

What is being investigated is whether there was any collusion between the campaign and the Russians, and if Sessions did not participate in any collusion there was no reason to recuse himself. None. Nada. Zilch.

Rosenstein was a holdover from the Obama administration. He was not appointed by Trump and had no loyalty to him.

    GFY again.

  96. Tina says:

They are saying the russians interfered. Collusion was last week.

No matter what term they use, there is no case brought forth evidencing anything. Did the russians meddle innthe campaign? Yes, on bith sides. Fortunateky, the rs had better computer systems and novody had a password named password, like creepy podesta.

Once in awhile Wobbie speaketh the truth.

He could have finished with “that Jeb should be President and that is the only thing that matters to me”

  112. jason says:

The fact Wobbie is still taking it out on Trump for the fact he backed the worst performing candidate in Presidential history is a measure of what a small minded, petty, ignorant and vindictive little snot of a person he is.

  113. jason says:

Wobbie to attack Rubio in 3, 2, 1…..

  114. Wes says:

As AG, Jeff Sessions is required to uphold the Constitution. He has no obligation to the President. If Trump doesn’t like what Sessions is doing, then the President has the right to fire him and replace him. In no way is Sessions obligated to carry water for Trump. That is not the role of an AG.

  115. Bitterlaw says:

Jonesy – There is a difference between using a different handle occasionally as a parody post and sneaking back here pretending to be a different poster. For example, there are several variations on Robbie (Wobbles, Blobbie, etc.) Ssq is a known parody of SusyQue who is not a real person anyway.

Poster Trump and some others got bitch-slapped in the past by making awful predictions or just embarrassing themselves so they came back pretending to be somebody else.

  121. Wes says:

Gillespie and Northam are tied. Good to hear.

  122. jason says:

Yes, Ron Paul had a remarkable 0-151 record in primaries and caucuses.

But even he didn’t spend $200 million for 4 delegates, he got his delegates by buying them for a lot less or by stealing them.

It was the sheer magnitude of Jeb’s debacle that is fueling Wobbie’s hatred of Trump.

But heavens, no, don’t let my comment infer that Ron Paul’s 0-151 record was not a spectacular fiasco too.

  123. jason says:

Wobbie can’t get over how wrong his prediction that Jeb would “clear the field” just by his sheer awesomeness and that lesser beings (and much better candidates) like Rubio would not run against such a formidable candidate.

And he probably feels a little guilty Jeb’s weakness was one of the reasons Trump decided to run.

He lies in bed at night with the awful realization HE may be responsible for Trump’s election.

I think that is right. Wobbie is the reason Trump won.

  126. lisab says:

well, i had a bad morning

when you get married in the catholic church, as i did, you have to go to pre-cana classes, which is where a priest sits you down with your fiance and explains marriage to you both — because they have so much experience at it. this is especially true if you marry one of those protestant heathens like i did. we had a month of classes.

they go over everything under the son, from what the ceremony will be, to raising children, resolving arguments with your spouse, and money and financial matters etc. it varies from parish to parish, but i had an in with the sisters of charity — so my pre-cana was very detailed … ok ok the sisters of charity told the bishop on me so i had extra lessons …

anyway, as part of the whole marriage thing we had to also sign a bunch of paperwork for a massachusetts marriage license, new drivers license, new social security card, new joint bank accounts, new credit cards, etc. etc. it took several weeks.

well as a feminist i of course wanted to hiphenate my name with my husband’s name because … girl power! but after a few times i realized that if your last name is eighteen letters long it doesn’t fit in forms so well, plus it was eighteen letters long and who has that kind of time? so i droppeed the hyphen after a few forms … who is gonna know? amiright?

turns out the social security office does not like it if you change your name … something about social security fraud, going to prison etc. anyway everything was just fine until they computerized everything ….

i got a nasty email from social security saying how they know i was using lisab’s ssn, because lisab is in california picking oranges as a migrant worker and i am living in ny … so i had to drive half way across the state this morning to prove i am lisab.

now i have never used a hyphen in my name after the first week of marriage. my licenses from illinois, indiana, massachusetts, new hampshire and new york do not have hyphens. my personal passport and my government passport don’t have hyphens. my tax records don’t have hyphens.

the social security administration was not amused. apparently, “i was drunk most of that week”, is not an excuse they like.

of all things, they got me on everify!

  127. jason says:

What is isab going to do when she has a real problem in life?

  128. jason says:

    I meant l-isab

  129. lisab says:

oh, and fyi, don’t mention confirmation names to them, they don’t like those either …

even though i have one, which is of course not on my birth certificate, but is on every piece of id i have EXCEPT for my birth certificate

  130. jason says:

I continue to believe thst the dnc emails were an inside job.

    Not russia, or other entity.”

Whomever it was, it was extremely low tech.

If you look at your spam box, you will see many attempts to get your password by saying your bank account has to be reset or some BS like that.

Podesta fell for something like that. An 8 year old hacker could have done it.

And the Dems are still in shoot the messenger mode, nobody has ever questioned the veracity of the emails.

  131. PresidentPaul! says:

People mad that Phelps raced a CGI shark not a real shark?

So I think the moral of lisab’s story is that trying to be a feminist is a losing proposition.

  133. jason says:

    I liked the Phelps show.

Only an idiot thought they were going to have him in the water with a real white shark.

The only problem is that I said he would win, Bitter bet on the shark, the shark one.

I hate losing to an A-hole.

  134. lisab says:

its that patriarchal society that is oppressing me!

  135. jason says:

  136. Bitterlaw says:

I think that you can surgery to repair your hyphen so your next husband won’t know you are not a virgin.

Oh. That’s not your hyphen. Never mind.

  137. jason says:

its that patriarchal society that is oppressing me!”

    Resistance is futile.

I would elaborate further, but my wife says I have to walk the dog.

  140. jason says:

Hope no one wasted an hour on that.”

I don’t take time management advice from someone who reads Infowars and probably actually listened to a Ron Paul speech.

  141. jason says:

I watched the show. I knew that Phelps was not getting in the water with a real shark during the race. It would have been interesting if her did but some guys just don’t trust their abilities against live sharks.”

Actually it could have been done. They could have the shark go after a towed seal decoy while Phelps swam inside a big cage being towed at the same time.

But probably the shark would decide to attack the cage after determining Phelps was a tastier target.

  142. lisab says:

it just bugs me the federal government issued me a passport using my social security number

but suddenly they have an issue …

“no take-backsies on hyphens” is no way to run a government

they actually took my social security card

  143. jason says:

Also I wasn’t convinced the shark’s time was accurate.

It looked to me like the shark locked on to the decoy and was pulled along instead of just chasing the decoy.

In any event after 7 hours of golf it was time to watch something more scientific.

  144. jason says:

it just bugs me the federal government”

Maybe you should re-think your support for the nanny state.

    It will only get worse.

    Sad….

I hope 8-track tapes are not next.

And I know Walt is concerned about Carter’s Liver Pills.

  148. Bitterlaw says:

The shark was bored for most of the time. He obviously wanted to be on tv because Shark Week is a big deal but his actual job was not very exciting to a shark who is not a publicity whore.

The show after that was about sharks and crocodiles that hunt for the same species of turtles. That was real entertainment.

  149. jason says:

Wow, Chuckie has a rare moment of clarity….while throwing Hillary under the bus…

“When you lose to somebody who has 40% popularity, you don’t blame other things — Comey, Russia — you blame yourself,” Schumer, the top ranking Democrat in the Senate, told The Washington Post over the weekend. “So what did we do wrong? People didn’t know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that.”

  150. jason says:

What Chuckie forgot to say is when you run someone who 70% of voters deem to be dishonest and untrustworthy you run the risk of losing to someone with 40% popularity.

  151. jason says:

And of course Chuckie is wrong if he thinks people will like Dems better if they know what they really stand for, but that’s another story.

  152. jason says:

The show after that was about sharks and crocodiles that hunt for the same species of turtles. That was real entertainment.”

Dang, I missed that, I think I saw a rerun of Alaskan Bush People.

Poor substitute for crab fishing off Alaska.

  155. Bitterlaw says:

Of course, once you see a big wave slamming into a boat you are just left hoping for a bigger wave or a rally big fish to be caught. Pretty limited room for drama.

-As far as I know in my parish, and most other local parishes where I know people, pre-cana classes are run by a deacon, and then you meet several weeks with a couple, or couples, from that parish that have been chosen due to the longevity of their marriage, or special circumstances.

For example, my wife (fiancee at the time) and I met with 2 married couples in their house, along with 3 other soon-to-be-married couples.

Main themes: SEX and $$$$, the 2 things most often cited in divorce proceedings. Also, children, and the problems which may come from being parents.

They also advise you: DELAY NOW, so as to make sure. DO NOT make a commitment that you will not be able to keep.

White Women Are Racist Because of the Way They Walk on Sidewalks

“In seven years of living and walking here, I’ve found that most people walk courteously — but that white women, at least when I’m in their path, do not,” Howard writes.

“Sometimes they’re buried in their phones. Other times, they’re in pairs and groups, and in conversation. But often, they’re looking ahead, through me, if not quite at me,” he continues.

“When white women are in my path, they almost always continue straight, forcing me to one side without changing their course. This happens several times a day; and a couple of times a week, white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when I’m standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious,” Howard said.

“After these encounters, I’m always left with questions. Why only and specifically white women? Do they refuse to acknowledge me because they’ve been taught that they should fear black men, and that any acknowledgment of black men can invite danger? Do they refuse to acknowledge me because to alter their route would be to show their fear? Do they not see me? Can they not see me?” he asks later in the essay.
