There appears to be a lull in the fighting by the brave snowflake army against dead confederate officers. The resistance is stiff.

In San Diego, after the removal of one confederate pavement marker, the city is refusing to consider removing a monument to confederate soldiers in a cemetery, and a park marker with the name “Lee” placed on it, marking to mark the western terminus of the (Robert E.) Lee highway.

JulStol and Tgca…just like old times at HHR

  4. SanDiegoCitizen says:

In describing the purpose of the Lee Highway” Charles Davis, leader of the era’s “good roads” movement, wrote that the Lee Highway would be a “fit companion” to the Lincoln Highway, “that other great continent-spanning thoroughfare.” “The Two honor the outstanding heros of the Civil War period.” David wrote. “Both are twentieth century monuments, visualizing the love that all America now feels for each other. Together they will transmit to posterity the memory of inspiration of two of the greatest and noblest men America has produced.”

  5. Tgca says:

We need to forego the white privilege and find ways to mend the nation from the very hurtful reminders of the past. We can start with meaningful baby steps like changing:

Sara Lee Pie to Sandra Dee Pies

Lee Jeans to Rugged Butt Jeans

    Lee Majors to Steve Austin

    Lee Take-out to MSG Take-out

Lee Dry Cleaners to Extra Chemicals Dry Clean

Lee Remick to…oh forget it, she’s dead.

Supposedly an “active shooter” in Charleston South Carolina…at a Restaurant named “Virginia’s”.

A poll asking likely Republican voters who they would vote for if the primary were held today.

    54% Trump
    13% Cruz
    10% Kasich

A poll taken of likely Republican voters of how the firing of Bannon affected their view of President Trump:

29% More favorable; 6% less favorable:

    15% Much more favorable
    15% Somewhat more favorable
    48% Won’t affect
    4% Somewhat less
    4% Much Less Favorable

    Bannon is a non-entity.

  9. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    6. Don’t forget Lee tires, Lee jeans, Lee side and Leeward. The iniquity of it all is enough to make a snowflake melt.

But this isn’t enough, we need to take the letters “l” and “e’ out of the alphabet to avoid future naming microaggressions.

  10. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    9. In the poll numbers, switch the “Much Less Favorable to 3%, not 4%.

  11. Bitterlaw says:

Trump and JC don’t think they need voters like me in order to win. If approximately 62,000 voters like me had not voted for Trump in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, Hillary would be President. No need to thank me. I did what had to be done.

  12. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Looks like a large number of Trump supporters are more like you, judging from the reaction to Bannon’s dismissal.

Some people assume his base is radical; they actually are mostly thoughtful, reasonable people.

Since the Libs wish to dispense with the US Constitution by their actions, let’s assist them. No more POTUS elections. Let’s make the Trump clan official royalty.

    Prince Barron

It’s like the rooster thinking that he made the sun rise.

  16. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    15. But I was looking forward to the presidential race between Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump.

  17. Wes says:

Republicans need to nuke Moore. He’s easily the worst possible candidate the ALGOP can nominate. Even Trump is supporting Strange over him.

That should tell people just how much of a loon Moore is.

99% of Trump voters would not know who Bannon or Conway are.

Most Trump voters have always been thoughtful, reasonable people.

That is why they preferred Trump over losers like McMuffin, Kasich, Jeb, Rubio and, ultimately, Hillary.

Only deluded NeverTrumpers thought/think that his bases is radical. Most of his base has always been ordinary folks who are sick and tired of this country and its citizens being fu ck ed over by politicians of both parties. That is how he won the primaries, and then the general.

  19. Wes says:

Don’t worry, SDC. I’m sure we’ll live long enough to see George Z. Bush and Cincinnati Clinton face off for the presidency.

  20. Trump says:

Otherwise, you’d have to consider that the majority of the GOP voters are radical yahoos. After all, they did give Trump the most votes and delegates ever, in a contested GOP primary.

Well, Trump only tries to ban “allahu akbar” shouters from certain countries.

We had been to all the Utah national parks before–20 some years ago–and realy liked them. Visited Bryce and Zion this trip to get a second dose.

    Imagine if Trump said this.

    Mayor Luigi Brugnaro of Venice:

“Anyone who shouts Allahu Akbar in the Piazza San Marco can expect to be gunned down by snipers within four paces.

We need to increase our security when it comes to terrorism. We had four would be terrorists arrested in Venice a few months ago who wanted to blow up the Rialto bridge.

They said they wanted to go and meet Allah so we will send them straight to Allah without having to throw them off the bridge, we will just shoot them.”

St. George now, driving past Mormon temple there…

  30. SanDiegoCitizen says:

It doesn’t get any better than this. Am looking forward to the next Trump tweetfest:

“House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has ramped up calls to remove “reprehensible” Confederate statues from the halls of Congress — but left unsaid in her public denunciations is that her father helped dedicate such a statue decades ago while mayor of Baltimore.”

    31. I can remember when St. George was just a little town, out in the middle of no where. My college roommate was from their. Now it has become a suburb of Southern California.

Brigham Young used to spend the winters there; his historic homestead right next door to the temple.

The freeway canyon your entering is really beautiful too!
