Moore Leads Strange By 2% in AL, Ward Leads Flake By 26% in AZ

Harper Polling has dumped out a new poll in the state of Alabama that seems to mirror another recent poll showing a tight race in the runoff election.

Roy Moore 47%
Luther Strange (inc) 45%

This poll was done August 24-26 among 600 likely primary voters. Meanwhile, another incumbent US Senator is not doing too well in Arizona where JMC Analytics is showing Jeff Flake trailing badly to Kelli Ward.

Kelli Ward 47%
Jeff Flake (inc) 21%
Nicholas Tutora 3%

This poll was done August 26-27 among 500 likely voters.

New Trump approvals from Gallup. Key groups vs. January:

    Jan: 89%
    Now: 78%

    Jan: 56%
    Now: 45%

    Jan: 50%
    Now: 39%

Gallup? Didn’t they admit they didn’t know how to poll anymore?

  4. Trump says:

Flake took a page out of the Ayotte-Heck playbook of “cut your nose to spite your face”.

Do these folks have any sane advisers?

  5. Trump says:

How can Flake have a lower approval rating than A senator who is about to start a federal trial for corruption?

  6. jason says:

Kelli Ward is the kind of “Republican” I thankfully don’t have to vote for anymore.

  7. jason says:

Liberal judge throws out Palin suit, which was a no-brainer slam dunk case.

But she is not a liberal.

  8. jason says:

According to the judge, “mistakes” are allowed for in journalism.

Translation: the ends justify the means.

  9. jason says:

I believe those polls numbers are probably accurate, at least in the sense that Trump’s approval has been fallen.

But given the media onslaught he has faced, 99.9% negative coverage 24/7, those numbers are fairly resilient.

  10. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    9. Agree with Jason. Its way to early to predict the 2020 election. Reagan’s and Clinton’s early poll numbers went down, and both were re-elected.

There are also a lot of “lesser of two evil” voters out there. They may not approve of Trump’s job performance, but they will not support an extreme left candidate against him.

More proof that a #NeverTrumper is now permanently lodged on Trump’s groin!

  13. Wes says:

Moore is losing steam. Thank God. The NYCMike-approved Deadendr is the only Republican Dems csn possibly best for this Senate seat. Strange needs to win this.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, Jeff Flake has fatally compromised himself while, again, the NYCMike-approved Kelli Ward is a disaster of a candidate. Grand Canyon State Republicans need to rally around DeWit and pressure Flake to retire to prevent hipster moonbat Sinema from taking ghe seat.

  14. Wes says:

I do wonder how Mikey will square my statement that the AZGOP needs to make Flake retire with his erroneous belief that I think GOP officehlders should hold thrir seats for life.

  15. Phil says:

Flake did it to himself. He’s out of a job now in 2018. Guess his lefty MSM friends he cares so much about are now going to save his bacon.

    Was it worth it, Jeff?

  16. Wes says:

We just know NYCMike is going to have one sticky keyboard and monitor if Tark manages to win the primary and hand Jacky Rosen an early Christmas present of a giftwrapped Senate seat:

  17. Wes says:

I don’t disagree, Phil. Ward, however, is unacceptable. That’s why I want DeWit to win the primary and take the seat.

  18. Phil says:

So Palin’s lawsuit has been thrown out.

Well, I see after two days of a news blackout due to our home power being out that the world is still run by liberals.

No change. Conservatives still getting hosed by the elites.

  19. Phil says:

I agree about Ward, Wes. Ward is a loser and we will get a liberal Democrat in that seat.

    Disaster. Thanks a lot, Jeff.

  20. Wes says:

As the Tea Party will tell you, Phil, it’s their wingnuts or bust in these primaries.

Just read various bloggers’ messageboards from 2014 when Deadenders actually started freaking out because Republicans were about to capture the Senate from the Dems.

I think these clowns or gasm off losing.

  21. Phil says:

Any chance one of the Arizona GOP congressmen can file for the seat?

  22. Wes says:

    Franks and McSally are considering.

  23. Wes says:

They would split the non-loony toon vote though. It’s best if DeWit gets a free shot at the lunatic.

  24. NYCmike says:

    You could go square yourself.

Please let me know where I wrote that I prefer any of the other options to the current incumbent.

I do approve of challengers, simply because some incumbents do NOT please their constituents.

You are the one against primary challengers, until of course you agree with me, as in Flake’s case.

Of course, according to “CG” and Freedomworks, Flake is the quintessential conservative Republican.

  25. Phil says:

McSally would be a slam dunk winner in the GE if she could somehow get by the primary. Need Flake to retire for that to happen. Wes is right, Flake would take enough votes away from McSally to nominate Ward.

Retire, Jeff. You are a dead man walking either way.

  26. NYCmike says:

Wes finally gets religion on primary challengers:

    Flake pisses off base.
    Base wants someone different.
    Wes is against challengers.

Flake keeps pissing off voters (“Meanwhile, in Arizona, Jeff Flake has fatally compromised himself”) and may lose to the Democrat.
Base is consistent, still wants someone else.
Wes flip flops like a John-Kerry-wanna-be, is now for a challenger, as long as it is his challenger, nobody else, of course.

Wes yaps about sticky keyboards…..AGAIN…..still no word on when he will be married.

  27. NYCmike says:

Two Senators, through no fault of anyone at HHR, and through no fault of “deadenders”, may lose their respective races, and Wes keeps yapping about “Mikey this” and “Kelli Ward that”, as if the 2 incumbents have not been the ones in office for these past years.

WHY are they so unpopular in their respective states?
How did it get to the point where their states didn’t want to vote for them?

Will Wes ever look to find out answers for those questions, or will he just look to keep licking sticky keyboards after his latest massage session?

  28. NYCmike says:

I also hope “CG” comes back to straighten Wes out about how good a conservative Flake is…..

In 2016 there were 762 murders, and 4,331 shooting victims, in Chicago. The police killed only 11 people, and injured another 14. One reason for the police shootings was that attacks upon the police doubled in Chicago in 2016.

Yet the Democratic leadership in Illinois wants to focus on the police; not gangs and narcotics. And Democrats like these will somehow be viewed by voters as a better alternative than Trump?

NYCMike is the Lord of the Deadenders!

MIKey is now talking up a ghoulish woman who openly hoped John McCain would die so Governor Ducey would appoint her to the Senate and spent her 2016 primary campaign talking about chemtrails.

I respected Il Mikey when he was an Eph Rove parody. When he became Deadender-in-Chief and basically started spewing BJG-style nonsense on here though, I knew he was too far gone to be redeemed.

  59. Wes says:

Actually, Lisa, that’s the opposite of true. The larger a majority he has, the more powerful McConnell becomes because he has to cater less to individual Senators’ egos to stave off defections and get things passed.

Thus, McConnell would want Republicans to have as large a Senat2e conference as possible.

  60. lisab says:

The larger a majority he has, the more powerful McConnell becomes because he has to cater less to individual Senators’ egos to stave off defections and get things passed.

that would be true if mcconnell wholeheartedly supported trump’s agenda. he does not.

a smaller majority allows mcconnell to pick and choose which laws he really wants to support and deny those he does not like

a large majority means that trump can go around him. if the gop wins 4 seats, and has a 56-44 majority it would take 7 defections to stop trump. mcconnell probably could not manage that without openly fighting with trump.

  61. NYCmike says:

    YES, Lord of the “deadenders”!

    When is the wedding, Wes?

  62. Wes says:

You’re assuming McConnell has a Rube Goldberg strategy of keeping his Senate majority small so as to stymy Trump’s agenda, Lisa. In fact, all indications are that McConnell wants as many Republicans to serve in the Senate as possible. Not only does a larger majority enable McConnell to more effectively shut down Schumer, but it lessens the chances Dems can recapture the Senate

  63. lisab says:

You’re assuming McConnell has a Rube Goldberg strategy of keeping his Senate majority small so as to stymy Trump’s agenda,

no, i am just saying he becomes less important as the majority grows. currently mcconnell with mccain, murkowski and collins have power far beyond their single votes.

if the gop gained 4 seats, or even 3, mccain, murkowski, and collins would lose most of their power.

mcconnell would enjoy the perks of being the majority leader, which are substantial, but would lose his ability to stop trump’s agenda.

Lots of these places, same as in Sandy, are under water because they have been built in the recent past, when newer construction methods made it possible to do so.

100 years ago, many of these communities could not have been built because modern services were unable to reach them.

  82. JC says:

In today’s you-can’t-make-this-s**t-up news, Nancy Pelosi did what Rubio, Ryan, Romney, and McCain have yet to do; publicly condemn the violent antifa thugs for beating up conservative protesters.

I guess the GOPe gang is far too busy praising them as ‘peaceful protesters fighting against hate’, as Rubio described them, to take notice of the fact that these people have been routinely beating up their own supporters with bats and clubs. After all, there is a media narrative that needs to be capitulated to.

Of course, Pelosi doesn’t actually mean what she says. Liberals would never willingly condemn any behavior that is trying to advance their cause unless it is hurting them politically. More likely, they are polling this issue and discovering that it is absolutely toxic to the electorate.

Which is why, after nearly a year of indiscriminate violent behavior being swept under the rug, the media is all of a sudden interested in condemning antifa violence. They’ve been given their marching orders from the DNC.

The Washington Post gave Cruz “3 Pinocchios”, which further proves my opinion that they are an appendage of BIG GOVERNMENT DEMOCRATS.

Cruz, and many other Republicans, were correct in seeking to limit “emergency” funds to actual emergencies. The same rule should apply down in Texas.

Cruz stretched the truth, as did Christie.

As one who lives in Houston, it was near impossible to evacuate Houston. You could not evacuate to the wast because you would have gone into hurricane. You not go east because that was the dirty side of the storm. You could not put folks on boats. 4-5 million people would have to go up I 45 and I 69/59. It would have been like Hurricane Rita. A giant parking lot between Houston and Dallas would be created. Thousands would have died on the roads. People would be stranded because they would run out of gas. It would have been the greatest human tragedy in 50 years. As a very far right leaning person, I am not questioning the mayor. This was the best of many bad choices.

I totally agree with Big E, my wife and just drove about 40 miles north from clear lake /NASA area. we went up I-45 into central downtown Houston, then across to the Galleria area. We only saw some wet spots most have drained to the Galveston Bay. It looks like about 20-25% of Houston tragically impacted. The current impacted areas are around two water catchment reservoirs, two rivers and one bayou. Still thousands effected.

Also, those who go around flippantly using the word “Nazi” and “racist” to describe their political opponents should be ashamed of themselves.

  104. Big E says:

There are good plans to evacuate Houston. They were developed after Hurricane Rita.
They did not a a Hurricane moving 50 miles inland and stopping for three days this cutting off the evacuation routes. Originally the storm was going to make landfall near Houston. It the moved track to make land fall further south. We all new we were going to get the rainfall. What nobody could predict was the volume.

  105. Big E says:

We are doing well. Family in good shape. No power. One of 4% without power. We almost lost the house Monday night but were fortunate. Neighbors got their boats and rescued people. Overall response was very good.

  106. JC says:

Well, after a whole year of blatant domestic terrorism being committed against against republican voters, it’s good to know that the GOP house leader finally decided to chime in.

    Via a staffer, of course.

Too bad he had to wait for his master, Pelosi, to give out the marching orders first.

With leaders like these, who needs democrats?

  107. Bitterlaw says:

Don’t worry, JC. After you purify the GOP to your standards, you will have lots of Democrats in office.

  108. JC says:

No, we’ll just have less D’s masquerading as R’s.

  109. Bitterlaw says:

You’ll see the Real Dems. You don’t get to decide who is a real Republican. Unlike the Dems, we don’t have to be monolithic. I would prefer more conservatives but here is a shocking truth. There are not enough conservatives to build a majority in either chamber of Congress. I dedicated 31 years to the GOP. Here’s a clue. If you spent less time hating Republicans who win elections and more time electing your kind of people (who are only united by the empty suit Trump)
you can replace the never defined Establishment. Of course, you will eventually hate them, too. I was forced to vote for Trump. I do not need any of his clones in office.

  110. Bitterlaw says:

Face it, JC. We’re stuck together or the Dems take over.

  111. Trump says:

You either get trump, or you get Obama.

Romney and McCain already proved that.

  112. Trump says:

When you have a choice between dem and dem lite, he em always wins.

  113. Trump says:

    Trump is your last chance.

  114. Trump says:

What was the last “conservative” accomplishment of the GOP congress?

    Don’t google.

  115. Trump says:

When only 1 in 6 of your own party approves of your job, you should know that you have fu ck d up royally.

  116. Trump says:

    That’s how you got trump.

That’s how you wil get the Dems.

  117. JC says:

Corker, McCain, Murkowski, Flake, Hatch, McConnell.

Every single state that these dopes hail from would be perfectly happy with standard run-of-the-mil conservatives.

Yet these people are not conservative. Their interests lies with their donors, no matter how much you wish to deny it. You say the GOP is not a monolith. Well, if you continually take positions that piss off 85% of your base, then what’s the point of being a Republican?

If they’re unwilling to fight for their party’s agenda – or at the very least defend their G-d d-mn voters from the media/progs, then why are these people leading the party?

Bl, Why do you think that out of 15 well credentialed candidates, the GOP voters chose Donald Farking Trump as their nominee? Why do you think that John Boehner was pushed out? Why McConnel has an 18% approval in his own state? Why 4 out of 8 GOP senators up for re-election in 2018 might not survive the primary?

For decades conservatives have been under constant assault by a sustained, warring enemy on all fronts – mass media, pop culture, education, corporations, social media, hollywood, the bureaucracy. And who stands up for us? Who pushes back when our religious freedoms get violated and our businesses get shut down? Who defends us when we are labeled as bigots and racists? Who demands that our education system stop indoctrinating young minds against us? Who decries double standards when liberals are allowed to engage in activities and speech that we cannot? Who says stop shipping our jobs overseas or giving them to illegal immigrants?

Ryan doesn’t. Neither does McConnell. Or Romney. Or McCain. Or Rubio.

That’s the problem you are unwilling to address, BL. The national left is deadly serious about enacting their agenda and are in full, total-war mode against us. They are organized. They have their funding. They have their propaganda networks. They have their shock troops. They have their indoctrination mechanisms. They have entire organizations who’s sole purpose is to dox, discredit, and financially ruin people that oppose their agenda. The left is in total mobilization against us, and they don’t rest just because the elections are over.

Meanwhile, the right’s ‘leaders’ are not even aware that the war exists. Like fattened officers and generals who have gotten too comfortable in a state of peace, they are aloof about the political reality and cultural upheaval being waged against us.

BL, how can we win when our generals are not even aware that we are at war in the fist place? How can we find victory when our officers only ever take the path of least resistance?

    You keep saying that I want to dictate what the GOP should be. That’s not true at all. I am merely stating an indisputable truth, which is this;

The Republican voters no longer have any faith in their party’s leaders. They see them as ineffectual at advancing the party’s agenda. They are demanding leadership change. They are tired of being left to defend for themselves and want leaders who stand up and defend them against what they see as a system inherently rigged against them.

Whether their assessment is true or not is debatable. The fact that they believe is not.

    Hence, we have Donald Trump.

  118. Bitterlaw says:

We have Trump because his empty promises and scumbag ways appealed to less than a majority of Republicans. When 60% of the GOP vote is split 16 ways, Trump wins.

  119. Bitterlaw says:

I can’t wait until True Conservative JC has to defend Trump’s trillion dollar infrastructure gift to unions.

  120. Wes says:

The GOP base threw away multiple Senate seats in 2010 and 2012 by backing unelectables jackanapeses: O’Donnell, Buck, Angle, Mourdock, and Akin.

Only when mainline Republicans finally said “Enough is enough!” and beat the next round of clowns–Stockman, Bright, Bosworth, Maness, Bevin (who had a post-election conversion to sanity and benefited greatly from it), Wolf, and Miller among others–did the GOP recapture the Senate and stymy Obama’s regulatory and court stacking.

JC doesn’t understand Republicans need fewer clowns and more electable pols in power to stop the Dems.

  121. Trump says:

    The moron is triggered early.

Can you explain how the 16 way split did not help Rubio? Or Jeb?

Got smashed in own home state?

Face it, trump is the GOP voters’ choice. All the others had the same policy positions. Voters told all to fu ck off.

16 percent job approval. Own it.

  122. Trump says:

16 percent are morons who still hold out hope for the losers.

  123. Trump says:

    Deadenders, in other words.

  124. Bitterlaw says:

If the 2016 field had only been Trump, Rubio and Walker, Trump would not have been the nominee.

  125. Trump says:

    Bull cra@, as always.

Unicorn farts is all you have. All the losers started in the same place. Only one stood out.

Rubio could not even beat out Kasich, let alone Cruz.

Walke? Ha ha ha….failure to launch.

  126. Trump says:

    It’s the message, stupid.

Milquetoast, warmed over robotic speeches don’t work.

  127. Trump says:

  128. Trump says:

  129. Trump says:

  132. Trump says:

  133. gameboy says:

I would agree, and Mrs. Clinton would be occupying the White House as we speak. Of the 17 Trump is the only one who could take down Clinton. Possibly Christie not for Bridgegate. On the converse all the dems had to do was nominate Biden to get the prize as it’s unlikely Trump would have taken WI, MI and PA in that scenario. It was a perfect storm for Trump….simple as that.

  134. Trump says:

Rubio was the laziest campaigner ever. He thought making sweet speeches in front of his donors was the ticket to the nomination.

  135. lisab says:

just as anecdotal evidence of what is going on in rural ny

the longest serving mayor in ny state, shawn hogan a democrat who is retiring, is looking like he may be replaced by a republican. rural ny is definitely trump country these days, and you still see trump signs up.

  136. Trump says:

    Very simple, actually.

There is Trump country, there is no Rubio country,

  137. Trump says:

    Well, maybe little Havana.

  138. Phil says:

Rubio on this Charlottesville thing was very disappointing. To my knowledge he never got around to condemning the violent left. I supported the guy in the primaries. Sadly, he turned out to be just another spineless Republican interested in cultivating favor with the MSM. We have enough of those already.

Disappointing. Ryan and a few have condemned the left recently only after seeing the polling – a bunch of rubber legged weaklings the whole lot of them.

  139. Trump says:

Well, Phil, that’s why their job approval is 16 percent. Among Republicans.

Down from 50 percent in February.

  140. NYCmike says:

#127 – JC writes long, heartfelt, and dare I say, truthful speech about the issues facing Republican voters, and how to deal with “leaders” who don’t respond to their wishes.

Agree 100 %. I went from Rubio supporter and never Trumper to 100 % pro Trump .

The Republicans response to Trumps comments about Charlottesville were absolutely reprehensible. Trumps comments were 100 % correct. Now a few weeks later with all the coverage on the flooding they will all one by one quietly start denouncing violence on both sides as Antifa starts getting more and more violent.

  147. NYCmike says:

What don’t you understand about that?

  148. NYCmike says:

” He ignores the fact that Trump wants to give a trillion dollars to unions.”

-I would also point out something else: infrastructure spending is similar to military spending, there is an actual return on those $$$ in increased revenues long-term (better roads make it easier for commerce),and also are one-time expenditures (apart from maintenance), as opposed to expansion of social welfare programs that only seek to buy votes, and are a recurring and expanding cost to taxpayers.

  149. NYCmike says:

On one hand, Bitterlaw claims “We have Trump because his empty promises”.

“It may be surprising to some that he’s authentic, in that the person he is on camera in public is very true to the person he is in private,” Trudeau said of the president during an interview with The Skimm. “So there’s a consistency there that one can work with.”

Donald Trump campaigned on his infrastructure plan. He didn’t waffle. He didn’t advocate for it to certain groups and downplay it to others. It was one of his platforms. He ran on it and defended it.

If Trump signs an infrastructure deal, he will be passing a campaign pledge. Even if it’s one I’m weary of, I knew exactly what I voted for.

This is in stark contrast to the GOPe, who campaign to defund obamacare or crack down on illegal immigration, and then proceed to do neither.

BTW, Trump is going to end the DACA nonsense. Yet another instance of this ‘non-Republican’ doing something that no other Republican would have the guts to do.

  190. Bitterlaw says:

The guy is totally unselfish and a humanitarian in every sense of the word. This fund he set up is just the latest example.

I doubt if there are more than a handful of Texan fans on this site, but regardless this is a guy you can root for.

Also, isn’t this the more MORAL course of action for our soldiers?

  226. Bitterlaw says:

Where are our economics experts. The gas that just got more expensive was probably already processed, shipped and delivered before Harvey hit Texas. I can understand newly produced gas being more expensive but this seems a bit much for the stuff already at the gas stations.

  227. Bitterlaw says:

I don’t know what to do about the “dreamers.” Their parents broke the law. I feel sorry for them but I don’t have an answer. Deporting a 17 year old who came here as a baby seems excessive. I am not saying that they should be granted citizenship.

Let the condemnation of me begin….

  228. Trump says:

Spoken like a true ignorant lawyer.

Anyone with an understanding of economics beyond middle school knows that prices, especially in an elastic market like gas, are determined by expectations of demand and supply.

    Not production costs.

Maybe if the moron spent more time trying to understand markets and less on mindless Trump-hating.

Only the loser Romney is still stuck there. And you. “I support Romney’s statement”.

  237. Bitterlaw says:

Poor Trump. He never understood what I said. It was really simple. When the Klan kills or assaults somebody, condemn the Klan. When Antifa kills or assaults somebody, condemn Antifa. When nobody is killing or assaulting somebody, condemn all of them anyway.

  238. Trump says:

    Poor as$hole.

    Spinning like a demented top.

  239. Trump says:

    It really is simple.

Condemn “many sides” in one step. Move on. Let the law takes its course.

Not “apologize” to fascists, as the useful idiot Romney wanted. And you. “I support Romney’s statement.”

  240. Bitterlaw says:

Romney did not apologize to anybody.

  241. Phil says:

One other note about JJ Watt. You will never have to worry about him ever taking a knee during the Antham.

At a minimum, go read something, ignorant moron.

“Life is like a sexually transmitted disease…”

“Life is like a dog turd in a punch bowl…”

  253. Wes says:

Manchin won with 61% in 2012. That he’s hovering around 50% now suggests softening of his support. Assuming Jenkins and Morrissey don’t obliterate each other in the primary, I think Republicans can claim Manchin’s scalp next year.

  254. Phil says:

Trumps an ass, but you know what? We’ve needed a hardass to cut government waste, do things that needed to be done, and to get away from business as usual in Washington.

He’ll never get to fifty percent doing what has badly needed to be done. He’s ham handed a lot with his presentation and communication but guess what? There is almost nothing he has done so far that I disagree with.

He probably will only get one term, but it is a four year reprieve in the crappy way this nation has been doing business.

Imagine the damage Hillary would have already done by now.

The gas that just got more expensive was probably already processed, shipped and delivered before Harvey hit Texas. I can understand newly produced gas being more expensive but this seems a bit much for the stuff already at the gas stations.

there are three factors at work

a.) the market clearing price: if they charge too low, more people will buy more gas and there will be a shortage. if the price is high, some people may decide to stay home more and keep off the roads, leaving the gas for those willing or needing to pay for it.

b.) regulation: the government is probably putting pressure on the companies to keep profit-taking down. $2.60 may actually be too low a price, but no company wants to get in trouble with the law during a crisis, so they may be losing money.

c.) accounting practices. if the companies run on a last in first out basis, it means they sell the last product they get in, so in other words whatever their costs are today to make gas, not what it was three weeks ago.

for example, if you bought your house 10 years ago for $200,000 and today similar houses were worth $300,000, you would not sell it for $200,000 because you could not replace it for that price. you would sell it for $300,000.

  258. lisab says:

there are three factors at work

That’s a nice refreshing start for sure!!! Get back to me when they start slashing the tasty pensions and other generous benefit gifts they get a my expense by 50%, and slash 15% of the government work force.

they have slashed many government pensions.

my father worked for the DOD for years. his pension is fantastabulous. he makes more on his pension than he did on salary. he also gets free health care two different ways. he is a veteran, although he does not use those health care benefits. plus he gets free blue cross blue shield insurance because it was part of his pension plan back in the day — actually it is not quite free, he has to pay some of the cost, but the government pays most of it as if he still worked for the government.

new employees don’t get that kind of pension any more unless you are at the top of the civil service, like congressmen and judges etc.

I wish, in those exchanges, I had not asked gentle, tolerant questions about a hater’s ridiculous allergy to her, or Clinton’s fictional misdeeds and imagined character flaws. More deeply still, I wish I had not reasoned with anyone, patiently countered their ludicrous emotionalism and psychologically disturbed theories. I wish I had said, flatly, “I love her.” As if I had been asked about my mother or daughter. No defensiveness or polemics; not dignifying the crazy allegations with so much as a Snopes link.

Maybe “I love her” seemed too womany, too sentimental, too un-pragmatic. Not coalition-building, kind of culty. But people say with impunity they love Obama, the state of Israel, their churches, Kurt Cobain. In the end, I wish I’d said it because it’s true.

  357. Tina says:

Jonesy, where is the link to the 48 percent poll? Hide the knives from the jebots.

  358. Tina says:

How was this determined? The time stamps contained in the released computer files’ metadata establish that, at 6:45 p.m. July 5, 2016, 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded from the DNC’s server. This took 87 seconds, which means the transfer rate was 22.7 megabytes per second, a speed, according to VIPS, that “is much faster than what is physically possible with a hack.” Such a speed could be accomplished only by direct connection of a portable storage device to the server. Accordingly, VIPS concludes the DNC data theft was an inside job by someone with physical access to the server.

From the article. But comedy trusted what crowdsource told him. Much like, he concluded hilary was innocent well before the investigation was completed. Comedy also paid $ for the dossier.

  359. Tina says:

Will the DNC files released by Guccifer 2.0 be analyzed to determine if they were, as VIPS has concluded, altered to give the false impression that the Russians had hacked the server? If so, will Mueller pursue those responsible for the adulteration? If, as appears likely, the server was not hacked, will Mueller investigate why Hillary Clinton and the DNC claimed it was? Will he investigate whether the DNC files were stolen by someone who had direct physical access to the DNC server? Will he try to determine who at the DNC had a motive to leak the files? Could it be someone who wanted to make public Clinton and the DNC’s underhanded treatment of Sanders?

This is from that same article. The wtiter misses a huge point. Mueller does not necessarily have to look at these. Sessions can subpooena and indict since these matters have nothing to do with russian interference.

    371. Tina, it over at Red racing horses in the comment section

  366. Jonesy says:

Posner of the 7th circuit in Chicago, is retiring.

Reagan appointee who veered to the left lately. Trump will get to pick another Appellate Judge.

  367. Bitterlaw says:

Jason – I almost feel guilty running up the score with Trump Guru’s points. Almost.

  368. Tina says:

Jonesy, thanks, found it at breitbart and posted it a few posts above.

  369. Wes says:

Oh, no. Melania wears heels. Meanwhile, unlike GWB, Trump is getting out in front of this hurricane recovery.

The Dems and media must be apoplectic now, knowing they won’t bd able to use all their prewritten Katrina 2.0 headlines.

  370. jason says:

    Here it is September.

    Life still sucks big time.”

Walt has survived hundreds of Septembers, so this one too will pass.

  371. Wes says:

“Hey, since we can’t say Trump is an incompetent idiot like that moron who was President in 2005, let’s highlight how the First Lady wears high heels. That should really turn the people against Trump, right? How can we possibly lose with the stiletto-gate narrative?”

  372. jason says:

Jason – I almost feel guilty running up the score with Trump Guru’s points. Almost”

Well, I haven’t been around much so I almost don’t feel bad. Almost.

  373. jason says:

Remember all the money Michelle Obama wasted on her countless junkets, no problem there. It’s the heels…

  374. Wes says:

Hundreds? Don’t you mean millions? Walt’s the only still-living being ever to have seen a battle between an Allosaurus and a Stegosaurus.

  375. jason says:

Go get fu ck Ed by your fascist buddies.

    You and Romney and McCain.”

Bitter, Romney and McCain are fascists?

I love this place, you always learn something new.

Of course, you also get confirmation of things you already knew, like that Soccer Moron is a complete idiot.

  376. Wes says:

“Now this end is called the Thagomizer…after the late Thag Simmons.”

  377. jason says:

Dang Wes, I wsa trying to be polite, you don’t comment on people’s true ages (or in Walt’s case, eras).

  378. Wes says:

Has Walt hit the eon mark in his birthdays yet? If not, he’s pretty damn close.

  379. jason says:

I hear when the found some triceratops bones at a Denver construction site last week Walt finally had some closure on his long lost pet.

  380. Bitterlaw says:

Hundreds? Don’t you mean millions? Walt’s the only still-living being ever to have seen a battle between an Allosaurus and a Stegosaurus.

Walt would have made a fortune betting on the stegosaurus but there were no other humans to bet.

  381. lisab says:

    “one does not work”

    Why bother?

it would mess up her welfare

  382. lisab says:

although they pledged to get officially married once gay people were allowed to get married

being married is not helpful when getting welfare, so she as a single mom gets welfare while he works a job

  383. lisab says:

strangely they are completely in favor of open borders …

i guess so that illegals can do the jobs they won’t?

  384. Wes says:

    Just to be a C blocker…

  385. lisab says:

the man also said to me recently that the usa, “has NEVER been so racist as it is now under trump”

i could not take it at that point — usually i just pretend to have the same views because of my job —

and i pointed out that the usa used to have slavery and segregation … which kind of caught him by surprise … and then he went off on how we should all move out of the cities and grow our own food …

  386. Bitterlaw says:

Trump is not here this very minute. P*ssy moron idiot dope.

  387. lisab says:

after listening to both the dems and never trumpers for the last year+

i think that the real reason they are against trump is not because of policy

it was summed up best i think by hillary, they think trump supporters are simply a basket of deplorables

or when john adams was beaten by andrew jackson and the uneducated mob took over the whitehouse

  388. lisab says:

in short, i think the great majority of those who oppose trump just think they are better people than trump or his supporters

  389. lisab says:

i think that is a major reason md fell apart

he just could not deal with the fact trump is more successful

  390. lisab says:

the never trumpers are more upset melania trump wore heels when getting on a plane to texas

than they were at mccain for not even slightly modifying obamacare

and just beside themselves that he pardoned an 80 year old sheriff but really did not care at all that most of the major players in hillarygate got immunity without giving any evidence

  391. lisab says:

    as a reminder

chuck e cheese tokens cannot be used to pay library fines you stupid deplorables

  392. Walt says:

These a$$hats need to fired ASAP.

(I hope lisab does not come to the defense of these idiots)

  393. Trump says:

The useful idiot McCain is spouting off again.

As part of ending DACA, Trump should revoke this as$’s citizenship and deport him to Panama.

  394. Cash Cow TM says:

isis has claimed responsibility for hurricane Harvey devastation in TX.

they apologized that nobody was beheaded and the winds did not scream “allah akkbar”…

  395. lisab says:

if they committed violence they should be arrested and fired

but if they are just protesting, that is their right

    and what tenure is for

  396. Cash Cow TM says:

Finally got Walt cheered up a tad.

Shepherd University vs Notre Dame football game final score in season opener.

    Shepherd wins 54-49!

  397. Walt says:

    Shepherd won.

    Whoop whoop.

    Life still sucks bigly.

  398. Bitterlaw says:

Temple student murdered. Beautiful life snuffed out by a scumbag. I wish Pennsylvania actually used the death penalty on the books.

  399. Phil says:

If only the tragic murder had taken place in Texas. We could take care of that in short order. Horrible crime.

I ate lunch at a restraunt here in Huntsville today with a window view of the prison building where death row inmates get the needle.

  401. Bitterlaw says:

She was killed 3 blocks from my son’s apartment. Scary.

  402. lisab says:

even the wise cannot see all ends.

  403. Wes says:

Where do I sign up to be State Executioner, Bitter? I have a few special techniques I’d like to try out on convicted murderers to serve as a deterrant for others contemplsting that particular heinous crime.

  404. Bitterlaw says:

Wes – There would have be a lottery to pick the State Executioner in this case. Thousands of Temple parents and students would sign up.

I texted my former player to see how she is doing. She said she feels safe on campus. She never walks alone and carries pepper spray. She has clearly thought about safety and said she never wears sandals or flip flops on campus in case she needs to run. Her law enforcement dad also taught her how to take down a bigger assailant. I still worry about her.

  405. wvally says:

    Dang this thread is dead
