    First place J E T S !! ??

  2. NYCmike says:

On the last thread, Jason said that Trump votes were found w/ Dem voters, that many Republicans stayed home (at least for the Predidential vote).

They would have been ok with Hillary?

Maybe they are ok with open borders and Obamacare as well, like “Trump” said?

“CG”, Robbie, Jason seem to fit that description……. Cotton/Perdue is scoffed at , and I am repeatedly told Obamacare will never go away.

  3. Tgca says:

Morning all from south Florida…and GFY Irma. This b*tch has made a mess of my yard and kept me up most of the night.

  4. Tina says:

    Hi tg, stay safe.

  5. NYCmike says:

    How were the winds?

  6. wvally says:

Tcga I’m so glad the prognosis improved for you. My best friend is in Miami and tho they lost power the roof is intact and no flooding. Huge relief.

  7. Tgca says:

Not bad. They fluctuate like mad but probably not above 60 yet. I live on water so I’m watching from my bed the trees thrash madly and the water rushing by with vigorous purpose It goes and stops for the last 12 hours but probably more go now that Irma made landfall in the Keys. It’ll get worse and stay intense for the next 8 to 10 hours. Anyone up for white water rafting in FL today?

  8. NYCmike says:

-“Commentary on the DACA controversy frequently notes that the nation’s nearly 700,000 so-called Dreamers are a law-abiding group. But a new bill to give DACA recipients full legal status, sponsored by Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake and Democratic Sens. Richard Durbin and Chuck Schumer, would allow newly legalized Dreamers to have many run-ins with the law — arrests, charges, convictions — and still receive benefits. Schumer, the Democratic leader, is demanding quick passage.”

  9. NYCmike says:

What were you saying about Flake being a conservative?

  10. NYCmike says:

    McConnell – very simple – D.O.A.

  11. Tgca says:

I’m in Fort Lauderdale so Miami not far. My problem is I’m 15 feet from water way to ocean so I get lots of rushing waster. But I do have new hurricane impact windows and doors that are supposed to withstand the winds up to 150 mph. Hopefully, no flooding but we’ll see.

  12. Tgca says:

…and I just lost power about 30 min ago. Oh well.

  13. NYCmike says:

    Good luck, Tgca.

    Water recedes eventually.

Unfettered immigration and amnesty will cost us forever.

  14. NYCmike says:

“The Dream Act of 2017 differs in other ways from DACA. For example, Obama’s order applied to people who were under the age of 16 when they came to the United States. In the Dream Act, the age is 18. Obama required recipients to have been living continuously in the United States for at least five years. In the Dream Act, it’s four years. Obama required that a recipient “be present in the United States on the date of this memorandum,” that is, on June 15, 2012, when DACA was announced. The Dream Act has no similar requirement.”

  15. NYCmike says:

I will blame Trump if he signs this.

I will blame CONGRESS first and foremost, since the President CAN’T sign something that is not passed by Congress.

  16. NYCmike says:

NCLB, Medicare Part D, then the war and immigration was the lead up to 2006.

No Obamacare Repeal, no tax reform, and more immigration follies…….stay tuned.

Instead of going bold, the Republicans, ONCE AGAIN, are going Dem-lite.

    Recipe for disaster.

  17. NYCmike says:

And I repeat: If CONGRESS does NOT pass, Trump can’t sign.

  18. NYCmike says:

“And I repeat: If CONGRESS does NOT pass, Trump can’t sign.”

-“CG”‘s civics 101 professor may disagree…….but trust me, at least on this one.

  19. jason says:

and I am repeatedly told Obamacare will never go away.”

I said the popular entitlements of Obamacare would never be reversed.

Let me know when I am wrong.

  20. Tgca says:

Thanks NYC. I agree, water does recede eventually. Look what happened to Lake Bonneville. It is inevitable.

  21. jason says:

n the last thread, Jason said that Trump votes were found w/ Dem voters, that many Republicans stayed home (at least for the Predidential vote).

They would have been ok with Hillary?”

I said many Dem blue collar votes went to Trump in the rust belt and that some traditional GOP areas showed a drop in the R vote vs Romney.

It seems like some GOP voters like MD and Author would have been ok with Hillary. CG thought Hillary was a pragmatist.

I was always clear I thought a Hillary presidency would be a disaster. I never sugar coated what Hillary represented. I said she was a rabid leftist ideologue and the most ethically challenged candidate in history.

To keep repeating the lie that I was “ok” with Hillary shows what a petty small minded moron you are.

    So why don’t you GFY.

  22. jason says:

    Go Broncos.

  23. Bitterlaw says:

O know Dave always picks the Redskins to lose because he hates them but I will take it.

  24. NYCmike says:

“They” implies the people you were speaking about in your comment.

I was thinking about them, not you.

BUT, if you feel as if I was speaking about you, I can’t help your mind from going there.

    And Go Chargers.

  25. NYCmike says:

Also noticed NOTHING was said about the Dreamer Immigration bill pushed by Flake, Graham, Schumer and Durbin.

Compare the 2 bills, Cotton/Perdue and Dream Act of 2017.

Which bill would improve our immigration system the most?

Which bill would be looked at more kindly by Republican voters?

Most important: Which bill, (since we all know that politics NEVER gives one side EVERYTHING THEY WANT), would be a better start point to negotiate with Democrats?

  26. NYCmike says:

Bitterlaw to say “I never supported Amnesty but I don’t support a 50% reduction in legal immigration in 3….2……1……

  27. Tgca says:

Yikes! Water is now about 1 foot below my sea wall. Lower part of boat dock is covered and the water is rushing with crashing waves of maybe 12 to 15 inches. Hmm…

  28. Bitterlaw says:

Why is it so difficult for NYC to understand that legal immigration is not the same thing as amnesty for illegals?

  29. Bitterlaw says:

Who cares about the storm? How is your hair?

  30. Bitterlaw says:

In NYC’s world, you cannot be opposed to amnesty for illegals unless you also support cutting legal immigration.

  31. Tina says:

We need daca for the “kids”.

  32. Tgca says:

Actually my hair is awesome. Just the right amount of hi-lites and wave, and neatly trimmed. I touched it up Fri night because you never know who you’re going to meet in hurricane.

  33. Tgca says:

Bummer. I just lost a 15 foot branch on my birds of paradise tree. It’s a 30+ foot tree that hangs over the water. Well, the upside is one last branch for the iguanas to squat on. It looks like I may lose a 2nd 15 footer branch too as it’s bending nearly to the ground but that one is over my fence and boat dock lift so I may lose both the fence and lift. Darn!

Winds are now 70 mph and windows are holding fine with no rattling. I dare not go outside now as this will totally phook up my hair and then I’ll really be p*ssed.

  34. jason says:

    LOL, NYC can’t stop digging..

“They” implies the people you were speaking about in your comment.

I was thinking about them, not you.”

“CG”, Robbie, Jason seem to fit that description.”

  35. jason says:

Also noticed NOTHING was said about the Dreamer Immigration bill pushed by Flake, Graham, Schumer and Durbin.

Compare the 2 bills, Cotton/Perdue and Dream Act of 2017.

Which bill would improve our immigration system the most?

The one with better chance of actually passing

Which bill would be looked at more kindly by Republican voters?

Hard to say. Many Republicans support comprehensive immigration reform. We are not winning.

Most important: Which bill, (since we all know that politics NEVER gives one side EVERYTHING THEY WANT), would be a better start point to negotiate with Democrats?

The one with a better chance of passing

  36. jason says:

Cotton Perdue is a non starter. It wouldn’t get 20 votes.

So pretending this is a viable bill is typical of what NYC thinks is a way forward.

    It’s a dead end.

    Oh wait..

  37. jason says:

Of course the idea that I am “ok” with Obamacare and open borders is another lie by NYC.

I merely have made the point that the main provisions of Obamacare aren’t going anywhere. I have made that point for years. Let me know when I am wrong.

As for immigration, I am in favor of a solution that allows most of the non-criminal illegals already here to be legalized in an orderly process in exchange for real border security. The reason I support this approach is because I know we are never going to deport 12 million people. We should do this because eventually the Dems will gain enough power to grant citizenship to all illegals and really open the borders.

This could be our last chance before the Dems get 100% of what they want.

Again, if we insist on 100% or nothing, we will get nothing.

  38. jason says:

ince we all know that politics NEVER gives one side EVERYTHING THEY WANT)”

Sometimes NYC has flashes of understanding reality, but they are fleeting, lasting a nano second.

  39. wvally says:

Seems to me that the challenge with “real border security” is that it’s entirely dependent on enforcement posture of whichever executive is in power, regardless of whatever Congress legislates. I think this is why Trump’s wall concept is so popular. The idea of something permanent not subject to whims of future administrations.

  40. Bitterlaw says:

WV – The problem is that even a wall is only a barrier if a future President wants it to be a barrier. If he or she leaves it unguarded or I maintained, it is ineffective at best.

  41. wvally says:

I think ppl assume it would be easier for our border security forces to maintain security w a physical barrier regardless of administration. But I take your point.

  42. Tina says:

Her thighness is done with politics.

Like daca ryano, she is pro antifa, a domestic terrorist group.

  43. janz says:

Interesting details coming out about how the same woman, Caroline Heidman, a professor at the very liberal Occidental College in CA and fellow at the Aspen Institute (an institute with a Soros affiliation) made allegations of sexual misconduct against both O’Reilly and Bolling, contributing to getting them both fired. Coincidence….?

  44. lisab says:

that happens every day on cape cod

we don’t need no stinkin hurricane

  45. Tina says:

A recap from campaign 2016. One year ago, she fainted.

We were to,d, by the jebots, that ahe was fine.

No doubt her health became a campaign issue and a legitimate ine.

  46. lisab says:

“A TRANSGENDER double rapist who was moved to a women’s jail has been put in segregation after making unwanted sexual advances to inmates.”

  47. Wes says:

Tina, Bill Roth also fainted while campaigning in 2000. That definitely contributed to his loss to Tom Carper. Unfortunately despite failing health that ultimately led to their deaths in office, Quentin Burdick, Robert Byrd, and Dan Inouye managed to keep the media out during their final campaigns and conceal their problems from the voters, who thus voted without being informed of the physical weakness of their Senators.

  48. Wes says:

Fortunately Walt has maintained strong health ever since the Triassic Period and has never had to worry about losing an election because of fainting in front of the media sincd that one instance back in 1788.

  49. lisab says:

Poland refuses to take its EU immigrant quota. Germany threatens to fine Poland $75 million. Poland responds by demanding $1 trillion in WW2 reparations from Germany.

  50. Wes says:

Damn! The Poles don’t play apparently.

  51. Tgca says:

Damn! I lost about 30% of the sea grape and birds of paradise trees in my yard. The iguanas are going to be homeless. One 20+ foot stalk snapped in half and just hanging on the ground. Waves starting to crash in my yard as water is up to top of sea wall. I will go out with my bucket soon and start paling the water and throwing it back into the waterway. That should help.

  52. lisab says:

  53. lisab says:

Damn! The Poles don’t play apparently.

poland was invaded by both germany and the soviet union and lasted about 4 weeks

france was invaded by only germany and had help from britain, they lasted 6 weeks

  54. lisab says:

I will go out with my bucket soon and start paling the water and throwing it back into the waterway. That should help.

noooooooooo … think of your hair!

  55. jason says:

Bitter is right, a wall is only effective if its monitored and supported.

That is why a physical wall is not necessary for the entire border. Surveillance, drones, sensors etc. can do the job.

But in either case, it depends on enforcement to work.

  56. jason says:

I name TGCA HHR Honorary Hurricane Hero.

    THe HHHH Award.

    Very prestigious.

  57. Tgca says:

    #56 Jason

I’m sure there are many who would advocate arming the drones but no one listens to folks from KY so no matter.

  58. Cash Cow TM says:

TG, hope you are physically safe and ride Irma out without personal physical damage.

Any reports from Mr. Vito, the sock?
    He is down there somewhere….

  59. Tgca says:

Thanks but I’m not a fan of honorary recognition. I prefer to earn recognition from blood, sweat, and tears.

However, if you guys want to start a TGCA GoFund drive, I’m ok with that. I’ve been thinking of building a deck and adding a jacuzzi in the yard.

  60. Tgca says:

Thanks Cash. I’m safe in my bed 7 feet from hurricane impact window doors with no power watching the water 15+ feet away pummel my boat dock and sea wall as the winds ravage my trees. Surprisingly, this is not upsetting at the moment.

  61. Bitterlaw says:

Tgca does not have a jacuzzi? Is he sure that he’s gay?

  62. Wes says:

Heym hey, Bitter! What’s gay about a jacuzzi? I have one.

  63. jason says:

    Wow, nice completion Wentz

  64. jason says:

    Oh wait..

  65. jason says:

Thanks but I’m not a fan of honorary recognition.”

Huh, HHR is not a Democracy.

You take the Awards as they are given, or you don’t get anything.

  66. Tgca says:

If you wear Speedos and sip on fruity drinks and/or martinis in your jacuzzi, you may be gay.

  67. jason says:

And as I said in a prior post, no more money for coastal fatcat bloodsucking layabout parasites.

  68. jason says:

    Martinis are NOT gay.

    Even dirty ones.

  69. Mr.Vito says:

    Hi Walt,

My parents evacuated from Ft.Myers to Orlando area. We are expecting the worst for their house, which could be inundated by storm surge along the river. I do not know if his brother and neice evacuated from Tampa area. My brother and aunt need to watch for severe wind and weather in the Orlando area. My nephew evacuated from the Okeechobee area. We are prepared in Gainesville, watching for severe weather… the trough dropping out looks like it may spare us from the eye being pushed over our house and sent westward instead.

I’ve been monitoring all week. Hopefully there are no tornados, and I’m hoping for the best for my RV north of here, but assuming the worst. Everyone tried to evacuate through this area, so we’ve had the largest gas shortages all week. I live on a hill (Gainesville is one of the rare areas in Florida) and not in danger of flooding. However, we are waterlogged from storms earlier this summer, and the area surrounding us could flood like it did in 2004 after multiple hurricanes stalled near us.

    Thanks for thinking of me.

  70. Wes says:

No Speedos or fruity drinks, Bitter; however, I do like red wine.

  71. jason says:

Mauve colored fruity drinks with little umbrellas on them, yeah, those are for sissies.

  72. Wes says:

Did the Eagles and Browns make a bet on which team can play worse?

  73. jason says:

    Good luck Vito.

  74. Bitterlaw says:

Tgca – Wes just invited you to his jacuzzi.

  75. Wes says:

    Not quite, Bitter.

  76. Bitterlaw says:

The Eagles were playing great up to the 13-0 lead. They they were not.

  77. jason says:

I hope Noncensus is going to be able to survive a few days without MSNBC.

  78. Bitterlaw says:

I’m suspicious of men who drink wine but Jason does not like when I say that.

  79. jason says:

I am hoping Noncensus will be here to predict a GOP loss in 2018.

That will clear the air and ensure a GOP win.

  80. jason says:

I am suspicious of men who are suspicious of wine drinking men.

  81. jason says:

Eagles are anxious to show how to blow a 13-0 lead.

  82. jason says:

    Also how not to tackle.

  83. Bitterlaw says:

The Eagles can blow a 13-0 lead better than any other team in the league.

  84. jason says:

Ball hit ground but I don’t think its conclusive.

  85. jason says:

The Eagles can blow a 13-0 lead better than any other team in the league.”

    You can’t argue with success.

  86. jason says:

    Nice kick.

  87. Cash Cow TM says:

Guess what Walt caught in his have a heart trap?

If you said possum–you are wrong.
If you said groundhog, you lose.

    If you said a phew-king skunk…

If anyone wants this little bugger, come within the next 1/2 hour. Otherwise Walt is fixing to drow…err..i mean “baptize” the critter.

Hope this goes well, as Walt has a fancy dinner to go to at 6 this evening….

  88. Wes says:

Walt’s come a long way from trapping pesky troodons and oviraptors during the Cretaceous.

  89. Cash Cow TM says:

    ….Walt likes fruity drinks…

  90. Cash Cow TM says:

Walt said to tell you trapping those prehistoric critters was different, as they were to become dinner.

Skunks are a whole different matter…

  91. Bitterlaw says:

That’s cruel, Walt. Jason will shoot him for you. He will be there in a few days.

  92. Bitterlaw says:

    Black and white lives matter!

  93. jason says:

“Groins can be kind of finicky”

    Fox Sports

  94. Bitterlaw says:

For me, drowning or being smothered would be the worst ways to die. Tiger attack would also rank high on the list.

  95. jason says:

Walt, put it in your car and release it after a few miles.

    Don’t drive over any bumps…

  96. Bitterlaw says:

That’s a first. Fox Sports wins gayest post of the day.

  97. jason says:

Wentz is trying hard to be picked off again.

  98. wvally says:

Cash Cow we are struggling w a skunk too. Did Walt make his own trap or buy it?

  99. jason says:

    ….Walt likes fruity drinks…”

Don’t order one in a redneck bar in WV.

  100. jason says:

Zzzz… we have foxes, coyotes and bears here… skunks are afraid to get close.

  101. Bitterlaw says:

Skunks stink. No need to kill them.

  102. Cash Cow TM says:

Walt wants to know if 15 minutes submerged is long enough…

  103. jason says:

    Bears are losing without Cutler.

It’s nice that some traditions are held sacred.

  104. jason says:

Aaron Rodgers needs to find a girlfriend, spending too much time with that dog.

  105. jason says:

Drowning a skunk is bad karma.

I just blow away varmints with my Glock if they are within 40 feet. Farther than that I use a rifle.

  106. wvally says:

Skunks also spray your cute little dog in the face and leave it whimpering and foaming at the mouth.

  107. jason says:

Modelo Especial is “brewed with the fighting spirit”.

    What does that mean?

  108. jason says:

You need to tell your dog to man up….

My dog is expected to hold his own against anything except bears, unless the bear is chasing me in which case its supposed to sacrifice itself.

  109. Tina says:

Jacuzzis are standard in the sf bay area.

  110. jason says:

    SF has a gay area?

    Oh, bay…..

  111. Walt says:

    Happy Anniversary.
    What date is your anniversary?

Ours is Sept. 8… (44 years)

  112. Tgca says:

My car ran over a skunk in college. Literally, the car went over it and did not harm it but must have scared it, as it sprayed and the car smelled awful for a week. It was so strong, almost acidic in smell.

  113. Bitterlaw says:

    22 years, Walt.

  114. Bitterlaw says:

I am not pro-skunk. I just think that drowning is cruel.

  115. Walt says:

Skunk trap is a bought wire mesh have-a-heart (catch and release) trap.

It is about 8 x 8 x 30 inches with a trap door that shuts when they trip the mechanism as they go for the apple slice wired in to the back end.

I have caught 15-20 pounder groundhogs, possums and raccoons in the past. I also caught a 10 pounder skunk before. Some of these critters nearly fill the cage!

This one was a 5 pounder–still pretty big.

When you catch a skunk and cannot shoot them because of city ordinance, you have to either transport them somewhere to release (which from experience I do NOT recommend), find someone who has a strong pellet gun who is willing to come and shoot them, or else drown them.

You get a BA (Big A$$ed) garbage can that can hold the trap/skunk inside. I know from experience that if you fail to measure properly, mayhem ensues.

Also do not get the BA have-a-heart traps as they will not fit into a garbage can. Unless you have something like a swimming pool you can use when you baptize.

Line the garbage can with a BA piece of plastic–because nearly every garbage can is made with holes in the bottom to let liquid drain. [I actually use TWO BA pieces of plastic in case one has a hole.]

Then fill the can with water–to the top.
Keep hose handy to ensure the water level stays higher than the top of the trap.

Prop things against the garbage can to prevent it from tipping over and spilling all the water during this critical operation. That happened to me in the past.

Round up some BA heavy boards…for later..

Get another BA piece of plastic (preferably one you can see through). Hold that in front of you as you slowly approach the trap/skunk inside. Pray that it works.

Lay the BA piece of plastic on the trap and then tuck and roll it so all 4 sides are covered. You can also tuck both ends of the trap. This step was made more difficult for me today when the trap is in the middle of the raspberry patch and you have to contend with all the plants and briers while you work your magic tucking and pray the skunk does not get you when he unloads.

Take plastic wrapped trap/skunk to BA water filled trash can.

Say a few words like they do at a burial at sea and then dunk the skunk.

Use the BA boards to ensure the top of the trap is fully submerged. Stay there holding the board and monitoring water level.

Think of pleasant things…sing a song…do something for the 10-15 minutes you are skunk dunking. Ignore the bubbles that come up out of the water…

Then turn off water, get 2 BA garbage bags.

Put on your BA gloves and take trap from water. Pray the critter is deceased.

Open the trapdoor and shake the (hopefully) motionless skunk out into BA garbage bag and tie it shut. Put that in 2nd BA garbage bag and tie it.

Do cleanup of trash can, BA pieces of plastic, etc. and then go take a long shower. Then have spouse come do a smell check.

Put BA pieces of slate over the hole near where critter was caught. If something is still in the hole it will push away or dig around the slate so you know you have to reset the trap and go through all the steps again.

Or instead…if you have a skunk(s) you can just move.

  116. Cash Cow TM says:

As you can see with all the prayers, dispatching a skunk is a religious experience.

  117. wvally says:

You need to tell your dog to man up….

I will tell my little Maltese-poodle Sophie no such thing. But the damn skunk can GFH.

  118. Cash Cow TM says:

I put is a call to the governor in hopes of a last minute reprieve but no call came.

I told Walt he was cruel and heartless. If it was a skunk today it might be Cash Cow tomorrow.

Walt said I am safe. He does not want to spend money needed to buy a super BA trash can that CC would fit in.

I guess I should be comforted in that fact.

  119. Cash Cow TM says:

Walt says all you skunk lovers can GFY.

He said you need to be in his shoes…and have the same options he has.

  120. Walt says:

Bitter has been married exactly half as long as Mrs. Walt and I.

Blessings to you and may you have 22 more.

  121. wvally says:

Walt, thank you for sharing your wisdom gleaned through apparently extensive experience with skunk disposal. Could I ask whether you happen to know if the municipal ban on skunk shooting extends to areas outside city limits? Specifically, 2 miles south of 480 between just west of the defunct Sheetz on old rote 9?

  122. wvally says:

Scratch the between and make that just east.

  123. NYCmike says:

I see jason thinks that agreeing with Schumer and Durbin BEFORE the rest of the Republican caucus is the way to negotiate better immigration policy…..good luck with that.

Your ability to drive away Republican voters is utterly unmatched….

The only good thing is that Rubio was smart enough to stay away this time.

  124. NYCmike says:

jason says “The one with a better chance of passing”.

This is because there would be 48 Democratic/Independent votes, and then several “Republicans” who vote with them.

WAY TO SEND A MESSAGE….of complete and utter disregard for the voters who put your party in control of all 3 branches of government.

  125. Bitterlaw says:

I have had skunks in my yard. What do I do? I say, “There’s a skunk in my yard.” Within a few minutes, he wanders away.

  126. Robbie says:

NYCMike must be over the moon. Steve Bannon is trying to field a slate of Trumpian Senate primary challengers.

The only thing Orange Donnie and his enablers are making great again is the Democrat party.

  127. lisab says:

    – NYCMike’s way of sending a message is slavishly defend a lifelong Democrat who cuts deals with Chuck and Nancy and turns on the lifelong Republicans who helped achieve the party’s largest House majority in 2014 since 1928 and the second largest Senate majority since the 1920’s.

  133. NYCmike says:

I posted a link to an actual bill being pushed by two Republican Senate incumbents, WITH SCHUMER AND DURBIN……and Robbie mentions Trump making a deal that received 80 votes in the Senate.

Trump only makes a deal when the legislation gets to his desk….until then, CONGRESS HAS ALL OF THE POWER.

Please, someone help this pilot get his head “out of the clouds”.

  139. NYCmike says:

Reasons for Cotton/Perdue not to get Republican votes, other than the number of legal immigrants admitted.

Please give some reasons for NOT supporting the legislation.

What are the issues that Republican voters would disagree with Cotton/Perdue?

  140. NYCmike says:

Schumer-Durbin are in on every immigration deal.

That is done for a reason. There will be NO compromise from the Democratic caucus, as long as those two are in charge.

That is why Cotton/Perdue MUST be pushed. You need to create a wedge to separate more moderate Senators (or Senators from RED STATES) from the 2 head honchos, Schumer-Durbin.

  141. NYCmike says:

A bill like Cotton/Perdue is necessary to get concessions from the Democrats.

You need to put up a bill where amendments are offered, and make red state Senators take tough votes.

If you go with a bill formulated with Schumer-Durbin, they will have taken all of those tough issues for Dems off the table already.

if a bill has 99 out of 100 things you want and support, vote against the bill since it does not include that one more thing you want.

demand that everyone believe in exactly the same things you do…we do not want diverse opinions in our party! We need everyone to goose step together.

  165. NYCmike says:

“However, watching you defend dealing with Schumer is amazing to behold.”

-How in the world am I defending Schumer?

  171. Tina says:

    No welfare for illegals.

  172. Bitterlaw says:

What is the plan to deport 11 million or more people, Tina? What if the illegals’ countries refuse to take them? Are you going to send troops to seize airfields, borders and ports to force them back in to their countries? I absolutely support deporting the ones we catch coming in as well as those convicted of crimes in the US. How do we physically deport the rest of them?

  173. Bitterlaw says:

NYC will say that I oppose deportation when I did not say that oppose deportation in 3…2…1…

  174. Tina says:

    Ask einsonnower, bitter.

  175. Bitterlaw says:

I’m asking you. 11 million+. How are you physically going to deport them?

  176. Tina says:

Start with the criminals, and work your way down.

But throwing your hands up im the air and sayimg you cannot do it, is not a solution.

  177. wvally says:

I don’t think there’s any chance deportations will ever occur at a much higher rate than they are occurring now. ICE is only so big. Will they ever go beyond criminals? Question is about voting rights and rate of new illegal immigration, no?

  178. Tina says:

Building the wall will help keep new ones from hetting in.

And no welfare or other benes for illegals.

Congress needs to fund the wall since they passed it as part of the 2006 immigration reform.

You need to attrite them amd get rid of the criminals ones quickly. Ms-13 type. Send vincente fox and the gubment leaders the bill.

  179. Bitterlaw says:

A quick search shows estimates of 1 to 1.5 million for Eisenhower. You need a plan for at least 10 million more.

Tina said deport them. I want to know the plan to do it.

  180. Tina says:

The ones that enterrd illegally should not be entitled to any amnesty. Citizenship is earned, not given out like candy.

  181. Tina says:

I also said atteition. You cannot deport all of them at one fell swoop. But you van gradually.

Deport first the criminals, ms 13 gang, nortega gang, etc.

  182. Tina says:

Over 1.4 million caught in 1954, bl. That is a good number for one single year and can easily be repeated

  183. Tgca says:

You don’t deport them. You penalize them through taxes and services. Some will go back if it’s not a free ride. We’ve seen they return home in past when it’s not beneficial. Congress can pass laws to penalize so it’s not unconstitutional.

  184. wvally says:

  187. Bitterlaw says:

Citizenship is earned, not given out like candy.

With the exception of Jason, GF, Marv, MD and other veterans, none of us “earned” citizenship. We were lucky to be born here.

  188. Bitterlaw says:

I oppose amnesty. I want illegals deported when they are caught. I want illegals convicted of crimes deported. I want a secure border. I want e-verify. I want employers who hire illegals punished with fines or jail (details don’t matter).

NYC to say that I support amnesty and open borders in 3…2…1…

  189. Bitterlaw says:

I also want illegals deported generally but all 11 million+ are never going to be.

  190. Bitterlaw says:

I also do not eat salad, fruit or most vegetables. You can pay people $40 an hour to work on farms and it won’t hurt me much.

  191. NYCmike says:

Are you also for all of the different types of welfare that BOTH LEGAL AND ILLEGAL immigrants are able to get?

Are you also for chain migration?

  192. NYCmike says:

Once all of the DACA kids are accepted in as citizens, do their siblings/parents, etc become eligible to come here?

  193. Tina says:

Attrition through enforcement has three components:
Stem the flow of new illegal aliens by securing the border.

Prioritize the deportation of illegal aliens who commit egregious crimes (drug trafficking, gang violence, document fraud rings, theft, etc.)

Encourage those illegal aliens here to return to their home countries by denying them access to jobs and closing loopholes in government programs that provide them access to benefits.

    This is from FAIR.

  194. Tina says:

Daca is bad news. That will be the next demand, the chain migration.

You can tell it is bad simce the other side refers to them as kids, even though their median age is 26!

  195. Tina says:

    Faca is amnesty.

  196. NYCmike says:

Bitterlaw won’t allow 200 million Chinese, Russian, Europeans, or Central Americans into the United States. That’s a good start, I guess.

Other than that, Cotton/Perdue is BAD because it only lets in 50% of a number that he won’t tell us, and it also won’t get 20 votes in the Senate, although we are still waiting for any other reason, other than actual numbers of immigrants, why this is the case when Republicans are in charge of that chamber.

  197. Tina says:

Bannon is just too smart for these arrogant leftist water carrier reporters.

  198. Tina says:

One year ago today, ,arks the start of the end of the candidacy of her thighness.

  199. NYCmike says:

“Daca is bad news. That will be the next demand, the chain migration.”

-Which is why Schumer is applying pressure. He knows a Republican Congress will not move to the right side of the political spectrum, with Cotton/Perdue.

SO, he will NOT make any compromises, he will just push more to the left, knowing that the Executive Branch can always be counted on to ignore actually enforcing the laws, either now or in the future.

And, with allies like Flake and Graham, and with Trump wanting to make deals after the first 8 months ended with ZERO, this is a recipe for disaster, for the country, and for Republicans.

First you act like Democrats, and then you help Democrats get elected.

  200. NYCmike says:

Charlie Rose, along with the rest of this MSM/Democratic Party complex, are a bunch of disgusting individuals!

And people like Robbie salivate over every word they spew!

  201. Tina says:

THe one thing that has bothereed me about the rinos is that they do not believe in laws.

We saw this when they blamed candidate trump for starting a riot in chicago for trying to do a rally.

We saw this on not condemning antifa, a domestic terrorist group. (Btw interesting thst it was the obumbler regime that categorized them as such.)

We see the rinos always tryi g to do an amnesty, sure, they will call it something else.

The reagan amnesty was and is a disaster

  202. NYCmike says:

“The reagan amnesty was and is a disaster”

“CG” wrote out Reagan’s quote about the United States being a city on a hill, accepting in lots of people from foreign lands…..all good stuff, but I am sure Reagan would look at the CURRENT REALITY and realize changes MUST BE MADE, just as he did when he switched from being a life-long Democrat to a conservative Republican.

  203. NYCmike says:

Still waiting for another reason, other than the number of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS which is flexible, why Cotton/Perdue should not be brought to the floor, debated, and voted on.

What components of that bill are NOT acceptable to Republican Senators?

What components of that bill are NOT acceptable to HHR folks?
