Well, at least there is one thing DJT and McConnell can agree on!

  3. JulStol says:

    He endorsed Strange months ago.

  4. Tina says:

Trump’s budget proposal called for eliminating the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funded the channel that created “Sesame Street” long before it was sold to HBO. Congress left its funding untouched, and only slashed 3 percent from the National Endowment for the Arts, which Trump had also slated for elimination.

On healthcare research, the House approved a whopping $1.1 billion increase for the National Institute of Health. Trump proposed cutting the agency’s funding by $7.5 billion.

  5. jason says:

Thank God for small favors, maybe Strange can prevail over the deadender.

  6. jason says:

Andy Reid is the dumbest coach in the NFL.

Its not always a guarantee of a win, but it helps when playing against the Chiefs.

  7. Bitterlaw says:

    Jason channels his inner MD.

  8. Cash Cow TM says:

So…Trump did not even bother to register to vote until 1987?

Would it be wrong for CC to laugh hysterically if the nutty NORK dork leader’s nuke tests triggered a massive volcanic eruption in NORK land and covered it in many feet of lava?

  10. Cash Cow TM says:

When will millionaire ballplayer NFL national anthem protesters stand up against perceived social injustice and refuse to accept their weekly paychecks which they turn into dollars with pictures of flawed persons such as those U.S. presidents who grace U.S. currency?

Or maybe form a player owned team and league and relocate their team to and play all their games in some righteous country like Myramar, Sri Lanka or some other god-forsaken hell hole?

NFL protesting players (and NFL who allows it) can GFT.

  11. Bitterlaw says:

I firmly believe in the separation of sports and state. I can be annoyed at players AND watch the games.

  12. jason says:

MD was right about Reid, sue me.

But I am happy he is coaching at KC, he has delivered a few nice wins for the Broncos in games a coach with a brain would have won.

  13. Tina says:

Ban the nfl. More intereested in political agendas.

Let their ratings and espn decline

  14. Bitterlaw says:

Ban the NFL? Tina embraces her inner dictator.

  15. Tina says:

    My own personal ban.

But as a lawyah, you probably realized that.

  16. Bitterlaw says:

As a lawyer, I know you said “Ban the NFL” without any qualification or limitation. Words have meaning.

  17. Bitterlaw says:

Now, you could have said, “I personally ban the NFL” or “I don’t watch the NFL.”

  18. Tina says:

    I banned the nfl.

    There, you happy?

  19. Bitterlaw says:

    Just keeping you honest, Tina.

  20. jason says:

    Come on Hail Mary!

  21. jason says:

Zzzzz… Reid wins a lot of games that don’t matter… he is the Jay Cutler of coaches.

  22. jason says:

Ok now its time for Bitter to root against the hated Cowboys and return the favor.

I did what I could for the Eagles.

  23. Phil says:

I used to enjoy NFL Sundays. No longer. Obviously many still are rabid NFL fans. That’s fine – to each his own. The politics have completely turned me off and I have found I can live without it.

  24. Tina says:

    Thanks dishinest lawyah.

  25. jason says:

I was wondering why Andrew Luck was not playing for the Colts and I ran across this colorful description of the Colts written by Mike Freeman.

“The Colts, of late, have been a dumpster fire wrapped inside a garbage scow surrounded by a radioactive pile of dung.”

Okayyy…..how do you really feel, Mike?

  26. Tina says:

Jj watts did good, phil. Really good. Raised more money compared tomthe politicize the hurricane.

1 guy with actual $ raised vs holly wood pledges.

  27. Bitterlaw says:

Reid is 11-12 in the playoffs so he won some games that mattered.

Since the Broncos are playing the Anti-Christ of the NFL, I hope the Broncos win.

  28. jason says:

Phil, I am more concerned about the game turning into touch football for sissies and pansies.

The nanny staters are determined to ban football because of the whole “brain injury” hype.

Yeah, playing football has risks. So does auto racing. And just about every sport.

I think the kneeling scumbags are idiots. But there are bigger threats to the game.

  29. Bitterlaw says:

The issue of brain injuries is real. I think the NFL should do everything possible to have better helmets. I would not change the rules. The players know the risks now.

  30. SanDiegoCitizen says:

The best of Trump’s tweets today, a retweet:

    David Martosko Retweeted Steven Greenhouse
This is the #NYTimes. Can you understand why so many reporters are cautious about working for them?

Not sending a great signal on child labor, minimum wage & occupational safety >> Trump White House lets a 10-year-old volunteer mow its lawn
    8:15 PM – 16 Sep 2017

  31. jason says:

Yeah its real, but its also being hyped by people with an agenda. And let’s face it, lawyers looking to cash in.

There is a risk reward here, these guys make big bucks.

    Nobody HAS to play football.

  32. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Trump’s twitter account now has 38,497,908 followers. No wonder the leftists hate it.

  33. Bitterlaw says:

Trump better pick up the pace. He is only 25th on Twitter.

    https://twittercounter.com/pages/100

He trails Katy Perry, Obama, and Taylor Swift.

  34. jason says:

“I think the NFL should do everything possible to have better helmets”

Well they could wear full body armor that would certainly reduce the risk.

It’s a physical game of big guys running into each other at full speed.

Let’s see how many stadiums will fill to watch touch football.

It’s like telling NASCAR fans the cars will only go 50 miles an hour for safety reasons.

  35. Bitterlaw says:

On the other hand, he does have more followers than the former One Direction members.

  36. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    13. “When will millionaire ballplayer NFL national anthem protesters stand up against perceived social injustice and refuse to accept their weekly paychecks which they turn into dollars with pictures of flawed persons such as those U.S. presidents who grace U.S. currency?

Or maybe form a player owned team and league and relocate their team to and play all their games in some righteous country like Myramar, Sri Lanka or some other god-forsaken hell hole?”

Know very few young people who watch NFL now. It is dying out. San Diego recently lost its football team, and the collective response has been “so what”. The tolerance of unpatriotic conduct and the follies of ESPN are turning even more people away.

Also believe the brain injury issue may doom the sport. In a nanny state like we are now, the idea that someone someone can voluntary assume the risk of football is alien to the paternalistic culture — plus, dainty snowflakes are supposed to eschew masculinity.
Its time for professional badminton to take its place, and everyone will be declared a winner and given a trophy.

  37. Bitterlaw says:

GFY, Jason. I only said improve the helmets . I did not say to change the rules.

  38. jason says:

    I don’t have Twitter.

But I can follow all the left wingers, all I have to do is read Wobbie’s comments.

  39. jason says:

    OMG….here we go.

    “Weather delay”

Pussies and sissies have won the day.

  40. jason says:

GFY, Jason. I only said improve the helmets”

Zzzzzz… I am sure they have the most up to date helmets.

  41. Jaysun says:

P*ssies. They stopped because of lightning? Real men would take a lightning strike and refuse to leave the field even if they were dead.

  42. Jaysun says:

Damn. Jason beat me to it.

  43. jason says:

Don’t worry Bitter, soon they will have the Washington Renewable Resource robots playing the Philadelphia Sustainable Harvest robots.

But hard hits will still be outlawed because broken robots could traumatize the children.

  44. jason says:

    hey stopped because of lightning?”

    Ohhh puhlease…..

    Did global warming introduce lightning?

They have played football for decades without stopping play, but now the nanny staters rule.

    Sissies and pussies.

  45. Cash Cow TM says:

    I like Taylor Swift.

Walt thinks she is one hot number.

  46. Cash Cow TM says:

    “Sissies and pussies”

I dare someone to rearrange letters of the above and actually spell anything.

  47. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    39. Trump better pick up the pace. He is only 25th on Twitter.
https://twittercounter.com/pages/100 He trails Katy Perry, Obama, and Taylor Swift.

It is interesting there are no other Republicans high on the list. Shows how Trump used social media effectively.

Justin Bieber has 101 million followers? Guess Pence goes and in 2020 its Trump/Bieber.

Clinton only has 18 million followers, which is a bit of a surprise. Then again don’t remember her campaign being that astute with social media. She got out-teched by Trump, and she can only explain it by blaming the Russians.

  48. Corree says:

    The Bears are 0-2.

Yes, they would have been 0-2 with Cutler too, but the games would have been closer.

  49. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    49. “Don’t worry Bitter, soon they will have the Washington Renewable Resource robots playing the Philadelphia Sustainable Harvest robots.”

Actually the robots will be running the world, and they will watch humans play football for entertainment.

  52. jason says:

    Only?

That’s a disgrace for the country.

  53. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Is today a holiday on the troll calendar? We are missing certain posters.

  54. jason says:

I think I would rather watch 60 minutes than the Redskins vs. the Rams.

And I never watch 60 minutes.

I will be watching Wicked Tuna Outer Banks though.

  55. Wobbles says:

    Thanks of thinking about me.

Did you see Trump is abusing small children by working them to death mowing lawns at the WH?

  56. Bitterlaw says:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Jason must really need a fight. I said to NOT change the rules of the NFL. He must be doing a Gary Maxwell impersonation to fight what I did not say.

  57. Bitterlaw says:

    Obama has 93 million.

  58. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    61. See post 36.

  59. Bitterlaw says:

I will watch The Vietnam War series.

Bold prediction – Many people who do not watch it will criticize it.

  60. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    63. “Obama has 93 million.”

Obama was tech savvy; his White House was almost an extension of Google. By comparison Clinton only having 18 million followers says something. Her tech skills seem to have been limited to downloading confidential E-mails onto Anthony Weiner’s laptop.

  61. jason says:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz. Jason must really need a fight. I said to NOT change the rules of the NFL.”

Zzzzzzz…. Bitter thinks I am talking about him.

    Some A-holes have big egos…

I am talking about when men were men and NFL games were played through any kind of weather.

  62. jason says:

Many people who do not watch it will criticize it.”

    Is that allowed?

I am not watching liberal propaganda.

prior to that at some point he was a democrat. it is not clear when he switched

  65. jason says:

andy reid is really close to bill belichek”

    Really close..

Belichek has 7 SB rings, Reid has 1. Only six more and they will be even.

  66. lisab says:

andy reid has two LESS losses than belichek!

  67. Bitterlaw says:

Zzzzzzzzzz. I never said Reid was as good as Coach Hoodie.

  68. jason says:

Wow, Mickey Mouse call against Dallas.

We’ll take it, what the heck.

  69. jason says:

Zzzzzzzzzz. I never said Reid was as good as Coach Hoodie.”

Well, certainly he is more honest.

  70. Phil says:

Jason has a point about nanny staters wanting to ban the game, but I think it goes even deeper than the brain injury thing.

I honestly believe they truly hate the game because it involves male aggression. Anything that promotes males being anything but passive p*ssies is bad and needs to be halted. The left would love to turn Americans into a European soccer culture. Football involves males being aggressive. They want “sensitive” males.

Of course, football would only be banned in the left’s dreams but if they had their way it would be gone.

  71. jason says:

Wow, Seattle losing to SF at home?

  72. jason says:

f course, football would only be banned in the left’s dreams but if they had their way it would be gone.”

I wouldn’t bet on it being around with anything close to the current rules in say 20 years.

The nanny state is coming, at most we can stave it off somewhat.

The deadenders will help it come faster however.

  73. Bitterlaw says:

Ken Burns is a liberal? Hmmmmm. I wonder why he made The Civil War the way he did. Rather than tell the obvious truth that Southerners were evil traitors, he decided to use the revisionist fantasy that they were people of their time.

  74. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    73. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/09/dem-senator-feinstein-no-evidence-kushner-helped-russians-video/

“Feinstein said again that there is no evidence of ‘Russian collusion’ and said people need to be cautious in what they say because “none of us want to be false in what we say and we have to wait until the evidence comes in”.”

Robbie are you listening?: “none of us want to be false in what we say and we have to wait until the evidence comes in.”

And no this is not a case of two people of the same religion covering for each other.

  87. Tina says:

One unknown thing is that ho looked favorably on the united states during the ww ii. The oss, precursor to the cia, met with him, trained some of his men, and treated ho for dysentery.

  91. jason says:

Feinstein is a flaming liberal but strays from the reservation on rare occasions. She is old enough and rich enough not to care too much about the ideological patrol.

  92. Bitterlaw says:

Tina – It is interesting to see the focus on the period between the end of World War 1 and the fall of the French.

  93. lisab says:

the french got crushed during ww1.

not only did they lose millions of dead and wounded, the war was largely fought on french land. that is one reason why they could not keep their empire going, they were exhausted. also, the colonials saw during ww1 that they could fight using modern weapons against modern opponents.

it also was a reason some germans claimed the government betrayed the people in ww1. their country was not full of shell holes and ruined buildings, so why did the government surrender? they could not make that claim after ww2

  94. lisab says:

i am helping a student teacher with a lesson plan, specifically on the metric system. she is having the students use 1 centermeter cubes to measure things … unfortunately she does not know how big a centimeter is …

she wants the students to measure the length of things, and her planned example was, “this crayon is more than 7.5 centimeters long, so we will round up to 8 cm. this crayon is not quite 6.5 centimeters long, so we will round it down to 6cms.”

my question is, what kind of big ass crayons are her students using?

  95. lisab says:

Don’t you just love when bigoted, fascist, elitist Northerners who know exactly nothing about the Constitution and American history and have a fetish for having corrupt Northern Democrats dominate their local governments call other people evil traitors?

  105. Bitterlaw says:

Don’t you love when apologists for slavery show up late at night to weep for the traitors?
