-One of the comments attributes this quote to Trump, from his earlier days “”I try to learn from the past, but i plan for the future by focusing exclusively on the present. Thats where the fun is”.”

That is a pretty wise way to look at things, imho.

  3. NYCmike says:

    Go Hogan!

Is he more or less sure about his Blue Wave prediction this time than he was last time?

  5. NYCmike says:

The one thing I will commend Robbie for: the more he talks about a “wave” the more I feel summer is right around the corner!

Thank you for your looniness, Robbie!

    I guess Tina doesn’t read my comments……

    – Unless Trump get’s his approval rating at or above 45% in the RCP average, I think Democrats will ride a wave in the House. Maybe a 40 seat gain. The Senate is a different story simply because of the map. Democrats will also win a lot of governor’s races.

Independents, who strongly favored Republicans starting in 2010, view Trump and Republicans very unfavorably. Independents are the majority makers.

Out of WV’s 55 counties, how many in this red state have more registered Rs than registered Ds?

    Answer…

    13 (including my own county)
    *********************
Statewide party registration is D 43 and R 32 with rest being Indy, Mountain, Libertarian or something else.
    ****************
New R SOS in WV recently removed over 86,403 from voter registration rolls due to individual voters being dead, convicted felons, duplicate registrations, Cows, etc.

I take that as “declined to answer.”

Is Wobbles finally done with his endless & idiotic Mueller/gift thing?

The votes were counted on the last thread, & as usual, trolly is all by his lonesome.

  11. Tina says:

Whoops sorry for the duplicative comment, ny,

I was sure Democrats would take the House this year. After last night’s specials in Georgia, I’m less sure.

Unlike Obamacare, the Tax Reform bill will get much more popular in a relatively short amount of time.

  13. Robbie says:

ICYMI, J.D. Vance is seriously considering running for Senate in Ohio. He would be a really strong candidate and real recruiting coup by McConnell.

    – Not for a second.

As if I care what the collective thought of this forum, a group that supported Roy Moore, has to say.

  15. mnw says:

Why would fooltrollyboy care about Vance?

Is it trying to convince HHR he’s “one of us” or something?

  16. mnw says:

Is Wobbles more or less confident in his prediction this year than he was last year?

    crickets

    – Doesn’t the Red Hat brigade have a better argument to use when someone disagrees with dear orange leader than “troll”?

Seriously, if you can contort yourself into believing Trump is going to build a wall and Mexico will pay for it, then you can come up with a better attack against someone who doesn’t like dear orange leader.

    crickets

    – As long as dear leader Trump’s approval rating remains this low, far more confident, MAGA moron.

  19. Chicon says:

Robbie, in November of 2010 BHO had a Gallup JA of 45%, and he lost 63 seats. In November of 1982, Reagan had a Gallup JA of 43%, and he lost 26 seats (according to Paul). Slick Willy was at 46% in 94, and he lost 52 seats. GHWB was at 58% in 1990, and he lost 8 seats.

Reagan was 2 points lower in JA, but lost 37 fewer seats.

  20. DW says:

The democrat has conceded in VA, meaning the GOP will retain majority.

  21. Chicon says:

Issa says a Republican will replace him.

  22. DW says:

24 – of course both sides always say that. Here is where getting the right candidate is everything.

  23. NYCmike says:

Robbie was given every opportunity, by both DW and Paul, to have a substantive discussion/civilized debate about the impending midterm elections, and the chance that Congress has a switch in power. Even “CG” mentioned that he will be going thru, district by district, and making his predictions.

Chicon asked a question of Robbie, which was answered by Paul, about the amount of seat which usually change hands in the midterm election of a first term since 1960.

BUT, Robbie refuses to discuss, just keeps rambling on and on about a wave, ALL CAUSED BY TRUMP!

  24. Chicon says:

25 – yeah, I think he knows he wasn’t likely to win.

  25. DW says:

Some on RRH saying Issa’s departure could actually improve the GOP chances for that district if they get a solid candidate.

  26. Chicon says:

26 – he used to discuss stuff, and even though I rarely agreed with him, discussion is useful. There’s no discussion anymore. It’s a similar path taken by MD and Author.

  27. Chicon says:

28 – he wasn’t always a “go along to get along” type.

  28. Chicon says:

31 – Walt, does your recollection of the events match this article?

  29. Chicon says:

Press conference – no DACA without the wall.

Robbie’s guy, Judge Napolitano, says Trump should use the west coast judge’s decision delaying the DACA repeal to take the time to do full immigration reform, since the DACA emergency is now delayed.

  30. NYCmike says:

    Chicon,

I kind of disagree. The more items the easier it is to fudge the details.

DACA, Security, Chain, Merit – wrap it up.

Everything else should be voted on individually so we can see where everybody stands on each issue.

  31. Chicon says:

Mike, did I write about that? Could be…

Anyway, I get your point, but I think the Republicans need to hold DACA hostage to get 60 Senate votes on the other issues. If separated, it is possible none of it passes.
