I am blessed with precognition— I can foresee the future!

24 hours from now, “The Republican in AZ-08 only won by (fill in the blank; makes no difference)%, so it looks like a blue wave is coming!”

Emerson is to respectable polling as Mad Dog is to champagne.

These are the words of an RRH “Republican”:

And as a result, Corbyn surged back to Tony Blair levels of support.
Pretty much every left-wing movement in the world has stumbled onto great success by pivoting to the hard-left. There’s a reason that the only Western country where the Left is truly ascendant is Portugal, where the Socialists have pivoted to appeal/ally with the Communist Party. If people get the chance to vote against capitalism, they’ll do it. Because when they feel powerless, victimized, dehumanized for 364 days every year, they don’t need a lot of prodding on the 365th day.
Similarly, there was probably no Republican candidate in 2016 who could have defeated Sanders in a primary.
I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Republican.

    Scary.

We need more O’Rourke unicorn polls. Don’t care about Arizona.

  5. Wes says:

He later amended the last part yo say Bernie Sanders would havd beaten any Republican in a general election.

If this guy’s a “Republican,” then I’m glad I’m not.

Not all vans will be banned. Only those that can go more than 10 miles an hour and have gas tanks with more than 2 gallons.

  8. Phil says:

I didn’t know there were any Republicans left over there.

  9. Phil says:

They don’t want to take all the vans…..just the assault vans.

  10. Wes says:

There’s Rdelbov. There’s also some guy named Cer who cheerleads a bit too much but is a refreshing contrast to the apocalyptic postings of all the Kossites and “Republicans.”

Wes – To answer your question, I don’t recall what every Hedgehoger said after Akin made his stupid statement. I believe some still thought he could win. Before Akin’s statement, most believed he would win.

Or just one insane guy. Either way, it is incredibly sad.

“Former Congressmen Patrick Murphy and David Jolly are exploring a bipartisan run for governor, a surprise move that depends on polling Democrat Murphy has commissioned this week.
Murphy would run for the Democratic nomination as Jolly, a moderate Republican and cable TV anti-Trump voice, would have no chance of winning a GOP primary.”

BL, if you get some name recognition you can try another run for Office.

Ohio-12 is one to watch; not this Arizona district.

The parents of a seriously ill little boy from Liverpool are fighting a court ruling allowing medics to withdraw his life support.

23-month-old Alfie Evans has constant seizures. His parents want to take him to Rome for treatment – but doctors say it’s not in his best interests.

His parents, Tom Evans and Kate James, have lost legal cases over their son in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and European Court of Human Rights.

Courts should not get to decide who lives and who dies. This is just wrong. If there are Doctors in another hospital that believe they can help the child. The parents should be allowed to take their child to another hospital.

    Re: Phillies…. Analytics, baby, analytics.

    Are they cheering Gabe, yet?

  25. DW says:

Bitter–Phillies are indeed hot at the moment. Mets have had two blown saves now, or they would be 16-4 instead of 14-6, but hey, that’s why they play 9 innings and not 7.

But overall the National League East’s top three teams, Mets, Phillies and Braves are a combined 30-10 when not playing each other, with the Phillies best at 12-1.

Perhaps the NL east shaping up to be the strongest division in baseball.

AL east pretty tough too. AL Central by far the weakest.

Could be the Toronto terrorist is a certified nutcase.

‘Police are investigating Facebook posts apparently made by the man who killed 10 people with a van in Toronto Monday, sources said.

A Facebook post apparently made by Alek Minassian referred to him as an “incel,” or an “involuntarily celibate” person who was seeking revenge on society, according the CBC.

“The Incel Rebellion has already begun!” the Facebook post read. “We will overthrow all the Chads and Stacys! All hail the Supreme Gentleman Elliot Rodger!”

The CBC said they have not confirmed the posts were Minassian’s — but they bear the same photo as his LinkedIn page and law enforcement sources confirmed to the Post investigators have Facebook posting they are examining.

Rodger killed six people near the campus of University of California, Santa Barbara in 2014. He claimed the massacre was due his status as a virgin and wanted to take revenge on his sexually active peers.

The terms “Chad” and “Stacy” was coined by online communities to refer to men and women who belong to a more “bland” society and partake in sexual activities.’

It could be the start of open season on non-celibate people.

At least Bunu will be safe.

  27. Bitterlaw says:

Chicon – The Phillies started winning after analytics blew up. More traditional managing has started the resurgence.

  28. Bitterlaw says:

Don’t worry. There will be a game where he swaps the short stop and left fielder for a few games.
