Biden Leads Trump By 5% Nationally, Biden Leads Dems By Double Digits

Rasmussen Reports has put out a new poll for the straight head-to-head match up between Donald Trump and Joe Biden and it shows Biden holding a 5% lead over Trump.

PRESIDENT – NATIONAL (Rasmussen)
Joe Biden (D) 49%
Donald Trump (R-inc) 44%

This poll was done March 17-21 among 5000 likely voters. At the primary level, Harris and Harvard have anew poll showing Joe Biden leading Bernie Sanders by 18%.

PRESIDENT – NATIONAL – DEM PRIMARY (Harris/Harvard)
Joe Biden 35%
Bernie Sanders 17%
Beto O’Rourke 7%
Elizabeth Warren 6%
Kamala Harris 5%
Cory Booker 4%
Tulsi Gabbard 2%
Pete Buttigieg 2%
Amy Klobuchar 2%
Michael Bloomberg 1%
John Hickenlooper 1%
Julian Castro 1%
Andrew Yang 1%
Jay Inslee 1%
Kristen Gillibrand 1%
Michael Avenatti 1%

For some inexplicable reason, they also had a primary poll that included 2016 loser Hillary Clinton, which showed Clinton at 11% in the primary almost all at the expense of Joe Biden’s share of the vote. This poll was done March 25-26 among 263 likely primary voters.

    First!!!

  2. Messy says:

The impeachment hearing is on May 1st.

  3. JulStol says:

    LisaB,

Yep, tied the knot in October. Ended up being in the Chapel of the hospital my grandfather was in instead of RenFair, but it was unfortunately the only way for him to be there.

  4. Wes says:

Wain, Bill Clinton was a serial adulterer, and Trump bragged about sexually assaulting women.

I doubt Biden is done because of this.

  5. mnw says:

    1) Clinton was a rapist (per Juanita B.) & serial adulterer for sure; (I’ll pass on the pedo island stories).

    2) Trump bragged about grabbing women by their privates, but no woman has ever accused him of actually doing that, as far as I know. Trump is a rich guy who sometimes hires high-priced porn stars & former playmates for sex.

    3) corree is NOT A TROLL! Remember that! He just asserts that the First Lady was a porn performer/hooker, & that Trump admires Hitler. But… correee’s NOT A TROLL!

  6. jason says:

Corey can’t admit the allegation against GHWB because if he did he would have to admit he really doesn’t care if Trump had a one night stand a decade before he was President.

I think GHWB was a fine President and a great American even if he did have an affair lasting 12 years.

    Sue me.

  7. jason says:

Corey knows Trump never for a second thought he could really shoot someone on 5th Ave and get away with it, he knows it was just a figure of speech. He knows that figure of speech presents zero risk to anyone.

And he knows having a book with “Hitler speeches” does not make Trump a Nazi anymore than if he had Mao’s Little Red Book it would make him Communist.

He knows that sitting in a pew and repeatedly listening to Rev. Wrights racist rants would make Obama a “racist” much more than any book Trump had or didn’t have would make him a Nazi.

Both are prime examples of the intellectual dishonesty Corey loves to display here.

  8. lisab says:

    Julstol,

    congratulations!

best wishes to you and your wife!

  9. jason says:

“He just asserts that the First Lady was a porn performer/hooker”

It doesn’t make him a troll.

It just makes him a lying sanctimonious ass and a tool of the dishonest MSM.

The Daily Mall had to pay Melania 2.9 million and issued an apology and the Telegraph had to pay “substantial damages” for lying about her past.

Too bad Corey is free to make scurrilous attacks against her to feed his TDS.

  10. jason says:

Biden has a lot of baggage. There are a lot of videos.

Right now he has name recognition. The other Dems are going to skewer him.

    You read it here first.

  11. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Don’t believe the allegation against Biden will have much impact on his future campaign.

I also believe the question of whether President Bush had an affair or not is a private matter. Its a personal issue which should remain private unless it affects a politician’s job performance.

  12. lisab says:

claiming melania is a porn actress seems low even for half-truth corey

unlike hillary or michelle, melania does not inject herself into political discussions. she reminds me of both of the bush first ladies in that way.

of course comparing your political enemy to hitler is not that great either, but i expect it of half-truth corey

  13. lisab says:

i think at some point harris will go after biden

she is down in the polls and needs to start throwing some punches

i cannot see sanders throwing punches, it needs to be one of the people polling under 5%

  14. jason says:

One of the reasons Trump beat Hillary was that her millions in attack ads on Trump fell on deaf ears.

I remember during the campaign people saying “Hillary calls Trump a sexual predator while being married to Bill Clinton”?

Although I don’t think Biden will be the nominee, if he was he would have the same problem against Trump.

It will be hard for him to attack Trump as some kind of abuser of women with all the videos of him groping women himself. Not bragging about it, actually doing it.

Not that I don’t think Biden is one of the better if not the best of the Dem field. I just don’t think he can get nominated.

  15. lisab says:

i think he would likely beat trump

but i also think he probably cannot win the nomination.

i do think he will bloody whoever takes him down

  16. jason says:

I think Biden is the Jeb of the Democrats.

Lots of endorsements, money, press accolades, etc. But if you want to win primaries you have to go out and earn it, if he sits around like Jeb and expects to be anointed the nominee he might have the same fate as “low energy” Jeb (of course Jeb had a lot more problems than low energy).

We will see if I am right.

  17. lisab says:

I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, “I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual fk? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?” He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. There is a Spanish saying, “tragame tierra,” it means, “earth, swallow me whole.” I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience.

  18. jason says:

Whoops I see Wain had already posted the Biden story.

  19. SanDiegoCitizen says:

For a candidate approaching 80 years of age; an accusation about a sex scandal might not be an entirely bad development. In this day and age, people seem to like their politicians blemished. Politicians apologizing and seeking foreignness seems now to be a right of political passage.

  20. lisab says:

i cannot wait for half-truth to start saying the democratic nominee is actually moderate …

although they have all endorsed the green new deal and 70%+ taxes

  21. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    19. So Biden has a feddish for unwashed hair. Next.

  22. lisab says:

For a candidate approaching 80 years of age; an accusation about a sex scandal might not be an entirely bad development.
    ————————————

no it will hurt him A LOT with the metoo women.

many would vote third party than for a white man with a sex scandal.

i think it is likely an attempt by someone to take biden down a few points, because none of the far left candidates can hope to take him down on merits

  23. lisab says:

So Biden has a feddish for unwashed hair. Next.
    ——————————–

this is actually a common thing, guys getting too close and coming up behind you

i would guess most of the women you know have had this kind of creepy behavior happen to them at one point or another

it may not seem extreme, but it will be a common experience of women

  24. jason says:

There is a video of Jeff Sessions swatting Biden’s hand away from his granddaughter.

You can bet Trump would call Biden “Creepy Joe” and it would stick.

  25. jason says:

It’s more than a fetish. Biden comes across as a kind of creepy pervert. It won’t sell well.

  26. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    27. Biden comes across as a kind of creepy pervert. It won’t sell well.

It didn’t stop Clinton or Trump from winning.

  27. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    27. American voters have a feddish for creepy politicians.

  28. jason says:

We will see if Creepy Joe can survive the scrutiny.

    I don’t think he will.

  29. jason says:

It didn’t stop Clinton or Trump from winning.”

It probably kept Hillary from winning.

I think a lot of people understand the MSM is biased against Trump, but Biden won’t have that luxury.

Creepy Joe will have the opposite problem, a lot of people will understand the MSM is trying to shield him.

  30. jason says:

Hillary spent millions in PA with ads that attacked Trump for being some kind of abuser, Hollywood tapes, etc.

It didn’t work because Hillary was married to a sexual predator.

  31. jason says:

. American voters have a feddish for creepy politicians”

I don’t think so. Trump only won because Hillary had not credibility calling him a creep.

In the GE, it may be a wash again. The election wouldn’t be decided on who is creepier.

But in the primaries, Biden is a dinosaur. His opponents won’t let anybody forget it.

  32. CG says:

When did I ever say Melania was a hooker?

She did absolutely do soft-core lesbian p.orn in her past though in a European publication. There is no dispute about that. The photos were widely disseminated years ago, I believe before he ran for office.

Trump also (while thankfully keeping his clothes on) appears as himself in girl on girl p.orn videos produced by Playboy

The post from me from 2016 of Trump regarding the Hitler book clearly has me dismissing it. I said I doubt he would ever read a book.

Also, Trump has most definitely been accused and sued by women who have accused him of grabbing their genitals against their will. They should have gone to the police immediately instead of waiting until he ran for President.

  33. Tina says:

How many Bushes voted for Hillary?

  34. Tina says:

Biden has a history of touching and sniffing.

Their is tape of sessions pulling a grand daughter away from him

  35. CG says:

I have long maintained this “touchy” business would be a huge problem for Biden if he runs.

    We will see.

  36. lisab says:

    Corey says

The hair/mustache thing was not a comparison. Not even close. It was a critique of the left, if anything. I could care less about what happened on Jimmy Fallon.

I have compared Trump and Hitler in other ways, before, today, and will do so again.I have still maintained that Trump is “not as bad” as Hitler, since that makes people feel better about Trump.

You know the biggest problem Mueller had in his investigation? The one at the root of his other problems? He could never establish that collusion took place. Without that underlying crime, everything was hard. But he kept at it for 674 days…

  41. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Without the Mueller investigation, a troll must really dig deep down into bottom of the barrel for attack fodder against Trump.

  46. Tgca says:

Ok. I’ve had a similar experience of someone sniffing, caressing, and trying to kiss the back of my neck and hair in a bar once. It was really creepy because I knew the guy, and who does that chit? Dude! WTF! You’re fookin’ messing up my hair. You never touch a gay man’s hair! NEVER! I scolded him and after that, I kept my distance from him and was not my playful self with him anymore, and he kinda noticed because his behavior towards me changed. That really bugged me. OMG! I just realized, I was sexually assaulted dammit!

Now, I’ve also had acquaintances grab my butt and crotch too but generally they were being drunk and obnoxious so that was ok, though one guy I threw up against a wall because I did not know him.

So I guess the moral of the story is if you know TGCA, and are obnoxious and under the influence, it’s ok to touch his junk but don’t touch his hair. EVAH!

  47. lisab says:

    Hello from Dubai.

Well….that didn’t take long. I thought that the hit job on Biden would wait until just before the debates, not so early. If it wasn’t apparent before it should abundantly be now. The ultra left wing has completely taken over the D party, and u less you are a female or a minority (preferably both) they will eviscerate you.

Biden isn’t a bad guy, and was their only chance of winning any fly over state. They are going to nominate the most extreme candidate they can find which is the opening Trump needs. Does anyone truly believe Kamala Harris will win Ohio? Michigan? Florida? Georgia? Wisconsin? Come on now.

At first I was excited to see the D’s go after each other, but now what I see saddens me and makes me very concerned for our future. One day these lunatics are going to win, and God help us.

  53. Tgca says:

What’s wrong with calling Mexicans wetbacks?

I’m half Puerto Rican so I’m not upset when someone calls me a rice and bean lover. I love rice and beans! Best with pinto beans and cooked in a spicy saffron sauce with capers and olives and lots of lard…and a side of Beano too! It’s Puerto Rican caviar.

I do take offense when they say I’m a welfare queen though. Now that’s offensive! I haven’t been getting welfare since I turned 18!

  54. jason says:

A former Secret Service agent assigned to the Vice President Joe Biden residence claims that the Service often had to protect female agents from him.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the agent asserted that, “We had to cancel the VP Christmas get together at the Vice President’s house because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses.”The annual party was for agents and Navy personnel who were tasked with protecting the Biden family.

“He would mess with every single woman or teen. It was horrible,” the agent said.

According to the source, a Secret Service agent once got suspended for a week in 2009 for shoving Biden after he cupped his girlfriend’s breast while the couple was taking a photo with him. The situation got so heated, the source tells Big League, that others had to step in to prevent the agent from hitting the then-Vice President.

Additionally, the agent claims that Biden would walk around the VP residence naked at night. “I mean, Stark naked… Weinstein level stuff,” he added.

He said that the men on duty would frequently stand in front of female agents and Navy women that were present “like a damn guardian.” On some occasions, they would make up reasons to get the women away from where he was.

The agent said he was specifically concerned about women in the Navy.

“They weren’t allowed to disobey him at all, but we’d take them away under pretend auspices,” the agent stated.

Or do we have some counter intuitive stuff going on here and it was the GOP who arm twisted Lucy to say what she said and spill the beans? Or did she come forward out of sense of civic duty? I don’t think so. ANd since I not much of a counter intuitive person and because I have seen her in action on the Judiciary Committee my money is on Camilla.

Phoenix, that’s not a deadender in the HHR sense of the word. I’m not sure what the definition is, but Flake ain’t it. We’ll let those with a grasp of the water-like term try to describe it.

  70. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    70. “my money is on Camilla.”

Assume you were talking about Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, the consort of Prince Charles. And your right, they are planning a royalist coup in the U.S. Prince Charles is attractive to the far left because of his environmentalist views. He has reportedly become cozy with the OAC crowd, by proposing to ban air travel and build a bridge between England and the U.S. Charles and Camilla recently completed w trip to Cuba to solidify their leftist support. They had their picture taken in front of a poster of Che Guevara. After the failure of the Mueller investigation, and the lackluster field of Democratic candidates, the leftists have to explore all options.

By change were you referring instead to someone named Kamala?

  71. Bitterlaw says:

mnw – To be fair, do you deny using the term “wetbacks?” We can break down yhevlegal/illegal part based on that answer.

    Chicon is correct.

You can call Flake a deadender if he runs third party and throws the election to a Socialist.

You know like Angle, Buck, COD, Akin, Mourdock, Moore, McDaniel, Ward, and other deadender heroes that either were successful or tried hard to deliver winnable races to moonbats.

  80. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    84. “Phoenix, that’s not a deadender in the HHR sense of the word.”

  84. janz says:

Interesting how when Biden was Obama’s VP the groping and wondering hands syndrome was either ignored or downplayed. Now that he is a presidential candidate, not of the far lefts liking, he is distastefully being outed as some kind of pervert. The left is simply a master at destroying lives and reputations when it serves or suits them.

  85. janz says:

IMO, Biden will never officially enter the presidential race. However, Stacey Abrams is reported to be on the hunt to give it a try. The dem contenders seem to be playing a limbo game of “how left can you go!”

  86. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    70. “Who do you think persuaded Lucy to come forward about Uncle Joe?”

As for your friend, reminds me of the guy who walked into a doctor’s office and when the doctor asked what the problem was, the guy says “I don’t have a problem, but I have a friend who thinks he has VD”

So the doctor said “well, pull him out and let’s have a look at him”

So Corey was basically saying that Trump was not yet Hitler but on his way to becoming Hitler?

    What a complete idiot. Geezus.

  98. Wes says:

Who would want to live to 111?

actually, when he spent 100+ posts discussing how trump was hitler, but also not hitler, and how hitler was not hitler until he was hitler

you, mr. vito and bitterlaw tore him apart the entire thread

i was on sabbatical at that time

    hugh hefner?

  101. Tgca says:

Who would want to live to 111?

Thats easy! My dog!!! So she can continue enjoying my awesome cooking. She’s already like 105 in dog years as she has been around since the early days in Wes’s idol 1st term as POTUS. Hint: This POTUS is a proud Texan who should not be misunderestimated and now close friends with a former 1st lady who did not run for POTUS in 2016. Can you guess whom I’m referring to?

  102. Bitterlaw says:

Who would want to live in Illinois? People who are motivated by reasons other than taxes and laws to live there. They may have family commitments or like their kid or like Great Lakes.

I could ask the same question about 49 states other than PA and DC and the answer would be the same (although the Great Lakes aspect is limited to a few states). People don’t have to justify where they want to live.

  103. lisab says:

    sdc,

    #95 my thought exactly

until two days ago i thought biden might win easily, assuming he could win michigan, where trump is showing strength.

now i think biden would lose if the election were held today. he could recover, but two days ago i thought the election was biden’s to lose.

    now he may not run.

sanders is not as strong as biden in the midwest, and he might get taken out himself.

the others are currently hopeless — but the debates haven’mt happened yet so that could change

  104. Bitterlaw says:

Like their kid should be like their job. Autocorrect is strange.

  105. Wes says:

Tg thinks GWB is my idol. Cute. He’s clearly suffering from severe hypoxia to the brain.

  106. Bitterlaw says:

Give him a break, Wes. Tg is malnourished.

  107. Wes says:

Ironically 108 comes from a guy who makes a cottage industry out of trashing anything and everything south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

  108. Wes says:

I would guess both chronic malnourishment and severe ischemia to both carotid arteries plays a role.

  109. Bitterlaw says:

I have a friend who is developing vegan dog food. I should invest in it – not because it makes any sense. Dogs are supposed to eat meat. They are carnivores. However, there are enough nutty vegans out there who want to their dogs to be crazy like them that she will probably get rich. Until it crashes when the dogs start suffering from malnutrition like Tgca.

  110. Wes says:

Play, not plays. What the hell, Autocorrect?

  111. Bitterlaw says:

I have always said people should live where they want to live. I would never live in the South but weak people who can’t handle 4 seasons, like grating accents, have an affinity for blood-soaked history and are drawn to fake kindness are welcome to do so.

  112. Wes says:

Vegan dog food? It doesn’t work that way. While carnivorous animals can ingest small amounts of plant material without any ill effects they’re not designed to eat cellulose in large doses. Their bodies process protein far more efficiently.

Your friend is trying to commit canine genocide, Bitter.

  113. Wes says:

For people who like knowing literally all of their politicians are criminals—including a corrupt, pedophilic Senator—there are Philadelphia and New Jersey to live in.

  114. Wes says:

Bitterlaw: The South is evil for things people did centuries ago.

Also Bitterlaw: The senior Senator from New Jersey has been taking kickbacks and going overseas to rape underage sex slaves? No problem. I’m there!

  115. Tgca says:

I am NOT a vegan. Those people are seriously disturbed.

  116. Tgca says:

As someone who lived and travel in the south and of course northeast, I don’t find the folks in the South anymore bigoted than folks in the NE. Philly and NYC are full of bigots and folks who refuse to tolerate others not like them. In fact, I find it worse in the northeast because they suffer from the Bill Maher elitist syndrome where they think are more educated and better than others when actually both have many slums and uneducated ignorant folks so I think it’s hypocrisy to label other areas bigoted. Just saying.

  117. Chicon says:

109 – all this Creepy Joe stuff coming out could be the reason he hasn’t declared yet
    – he knew it was out there.

  118. Tgca says:

    111

Cute? Stop hitting on me Wes! You got a girlfriend. I’m tired of guys with gf and wives hitting me up. Isn’t anyone monogamous anymore?

  119. Bitterlaw says:

I did not vote for Menendez. I could not vote for Menendez because even if I had a beach house, I would not be a resident.

Wes treats all women like prostitutes (but does not pay them), has no respect for marriage, and shares his “never going to actually marry her” fiancée with men who make it rain. I love his moral lectures.

  120. Wes says:

I’m sorry to disappoint you, Tg, but you’re sporting the wrong equipment to get me to hit on you.

  121. Tgca says:

I don’t think dogs should be vegan. My dogs eat a fowl diet (go head Jadon…). Though I suspect my younger dog would eat anything I give her, whereas my older dog refuses to eat certain foods, especially those with mushy textures (e.g. bananas). She also prefers her chicken and eggs to be from free range or organic sources. Not sure where she gets that from. Hmmm…

  122. Wes says:

You still want to own property in the state Menendez represents, Bitter—all the while knowing he’s a corrupt pedophile who makes Roy Moore look like a paragon of virtue.

When you quit obsessing over Southern sins from at least 154 years ago I’ll quit connecting you to the child-raping Senator whose state you want to live in.

Lisab, at the latest trump rally in Michigan, one third of the attendees were drats.

  124. Tina says:

Yikes, wtf is Biden doing? His touching and sniffing are
    “Expressions of affection.”

    Clean up in aisle 5.

  125. Bitterlaw says:

The sins of the South ended in 1865? Wow. It’s rare to see arrogance and ignorance so proudly displayed. I only like the New Jersey beaches. Been going there since 1968. The Outer Banks of NC are the most overrated beaches I have ever seen and not worth a 10 hour drive.

  126. Bitterlaw says:

I din’t want to reside in NewcJersey. I just want a beach house.

Wes’ concern for children is touching. Of course, he does nothing to actually benefiit any. I hope he finds time to see his when he is not preying upon emotionally damaged women.

  127. Bitterlaw says:

I can’t go to the beach until Menendez leaves office? Wes is a special kind of stupid. As they say in the South, “Bless his heart.”

  128. Phil says:

All the stuff on Biden is coming from allies of the other Democratic candidates to discourage Biden from announcing. Doubt it works.

  129. Tgca says:

So Biden is now on a listening tour regarding how his creepy behavior over the years towards women and some young girls but he’s open to hearing their interpretation of what was never more than his friendly actions, and he demands they be heard and respected because this is how we grow as a society. Ok. Got it!

  130. Bitterlaw says:

Phil- I know that you have anointed Harris as the inevitable nominee. However, Democrats play to win. If Biden is seen as the only candidate who can defeat Trump, they will get behind him. They need to defeat Trump more than they want to send Harris on a gender and racial identity politics suicide mission.

Biden is toast. When you have “Me Too” allegations systematically rolling out against against a carefully constructed “Uncle Joe” Image, the image is shattered. Like I said before I think Biden will opt out of running.. I’ve read where he’s even having difficulty finding donors.

  133. phoenixrisen says:

Guys, was pointing out the irony regarding Flake who is a squishy Republican saying the GOP has to lose like it was with Tea Party in 2010 and thereafter.

  134. Wes says:

Flake isn’t doing anything but trying to secure a spot in the media as a right-leaning Trump basher. He already has oversaturated competition from Ana Navarro, Nicolle Wallace, Bill Kristol, et al. He has to do something to stand and secure a berth that will set him up financially for life. Threatening an Indy presidential run and saying Republicans need to lose accomplish that end.

Personally I find it best to ignore Flake altogether.

  135. Phil says:

    Spot on about Flake, Wes.

  136. Chicon says:

Wes, call him what he is; he’s a deadender.

  137. Wes says:

If Flake follows through with his threatened Indy run, then he’s definitely a Deadender, Chicon. Otherwise he’s just an annoying member of the GOP intelligentsia trying to enrich himself by attacking Trump.

  138. Bitterlaw says:

More Republicans and Independents would vote for Flake than Dems and Independents would vote for the Starbucks guy.
