If the CEO of HSBC has been lending $400b USD to china to help them prop up their Monopoly money, that accounts for half of the reserves we have calculated that have already run. The chinese bank forward position on CNH is another $450 billion. Their currency is a HOUSE OF CARDS.Kyle Bass added,

So the CEO of HSBC was fired yesterday and the rumor is this: the BOE found out that they were lending to the PBOC to prop up the currency. If this is true, this is nuts.

There is a difference between white supremacists & white supremacy.

White supremacy is like a virus.

Supremacists are those who have been completely overcome by the disease, but supremacy – the virus – exists on a larger scale beyond just the infected. It also lays dormant.

Nadler used the word “proceedings” carefully in a Complaint to the Court to try to get Don McGahn to testify. The words “proceedings” and “investigations” are synonomous in this matter. A more important word is “inquiry” which was not used.
If this were truly major news, the MSM would be covering this 24/7, but they are not.

Chopper Presser- Trump was asked about Biden’s blunders last night from a presstitute:

President Trump: “I saw his comments. Joe Biden is not playing with a full deck. This is not somebody you can have as your president. But, if he got the nomination I’d be thrilled.”

  14. Wes says:

Trump should be wary about saying Biden isn’t someone we can have as President. Hillary tried the same line of attack against Trump himself in 2016. In the end, because Hillary was more loathsome than Trump, she lost.

    It works both ways.

If Trump can win despite himself so can Biden.

  15. Phil says:

I hope you aren’t suggesting Trump turn the other cheek and just let Democrats use him as a punching bag. W tried that and he left office at 35%.

  16. Tina says:

    Biden lost his fastball.

    Lol

  17. NYCmike says:

“Hillary tried the same line of attack”

-Hillary tried the same lines of attack as Trump, the same campaign lines as Obama, and the same faux outrage and/or empathy gestures as Bubba……..she is not authentic, that’s why it failed.

If Biden is the nominee, he has to knock down Trump in a Biden-esque way. If he tries to use a Trump-type tactic, it will backfire, because it won’t be authentic.

No matter what you believe about Trump, he hasn’t changed one bit since he started campaigning for, and then becoming, President. That could be both a pro and a con, but he will never be accused of being inauthentic.

In 1999 Nadler’s defense of Clinton was that neither perjury or obstruction of justice is an impeachable offense.

Mr. Nadler said he was not convinced that Mr. Clinton committed perjury or obstructed justice, but that even if the President did, the offenses would not be impeachable.

”An impeachable offense is an abuse of Presidential power designed to or with the effect of undermining the structure or function of government, or undermining constitutional liberties,” he told several hundred people at the recent town hall meeting at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

You must have eaten paint by the gallon as a kid to become so ineffably stupid, Mikey. I was explicitly comparing Trump’s attacks on Biden to Hillary’s attacks on Trump from 2016 since they’re essentially the same line of attack.

I said exactly nothing about how Biden will attack Trump.

  26. Wes says:

Nadler is requesting documents regarding Kavanaugh’s tenure at the White House:

    https://www.politico.com/story/2019/08/06/jerry-nadler-brett-kavanaugh-white-house-records-1449955S

Since the Senate has sole jurisdiction to investigate for confirmation purposes the background of judicial candidates, I’m not sure what right Nadler has to pursue these records. It seems like a partisan witch hunt.

  27. Wes says:

The eminent Michael Barone has a well-researched article explaining why the HHR CW that Biden won’t be the nominee because of woke liberals may not be quite an accurate assessment of things:

  28. Wes says:

Civitas/SUSA has a new poll out showing Trump trailing here in NC against all the heavy hitters in the Dem primary.

It’s not accurate, especially given the margins; however, it does underscore exactly what I’ve been saying about how Trump will win this state by a reduced margin. Basically Trump is holding his own in areas he won while Dems are holding their own in areas Hillary won in 2016. The more marginal suburban areas are where Trump is losing ground, though not so much as in other states.

This translates to a narrow Trump win here, but he’ll have to spend a ton of money in this very expensive state and probably spend more time than he’d like here. I’m pegging Trump’s margin of victory in NC at 2% (49-47).

Hence part of the reason I’ve all but written off the prospect of his reelection.

  29. Wes says:

I’m currently accepting applications for those who want to bet me on NC. St. Jude’s can use some more funding. Just ask Howard Dean, Corey (though he never paid up), and even the redoubtable MD how wise it is to second guess me on this state.

  30. NYCmike says:

” I was explicitly comparing Trump’s attacks on Biden to Hillary’s attacks on Trump from 2016 since they’re essentially the same line of attack.”

    -Did I dispute that?

Where you are wrong is to say that Trump is using a Hillary-type attack.

Trump may be adopting some of the same words as Hillary, but he is doing it in his own style, by adding “Joe Biden is not playing with a full deck.”. These are words that you can DEFINITELY see Trump using, hence the authenticity.

Now go, and make a stripper into an honest woman!

  31. CG says:

Just chiming in to say that I have never placed a be,t with Wes of any sort, nor would I have. If he thinks we had a “be,t”, it’s news to me.

Now, in 2016, I did lose two be,ts, one a hefty one with jason that I paid up on and a smaller one to MD, which I did not, because he vanished.

Btw, Wes and I were both wrong on one NC statewide race in 2016 (and thus have the same NC prediction record on HHR for Presidential, Governor, and Senate, throughout the entire history of this site), because he said McCrory was going to be reelected.

    Carry on.

  32. lisab says:

Hence part of the reason I’ve all but written off the prospect of his reelection.

Louisiana woman says meth found hidden inside body part is not hers: police

A Louisiana woman allegedly caught with meth hidden inside her vajayjay said she didn’t know where the drugs came from, police said.

Ashley Beth Rolland, 23, was accused on July 31 of stealing $5,000 from the apartment of a man she’d been staying with for about a week, according to documents published by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The documents said a female correctional officer later searched Rolland and, inside of Rolland’s vagina, discovered $6,233 along with “a clear plastic bag” of roughly one gram of meth — which Rolland denied was hers.

    It’s a gaffe headline.

  37. Wes says:

Corey is lying on two fronts:

    1) On the same thread in 2016 where I goaded MD into making a bet with me, I also goaded Corey into betting me.

    2) I never said McCrory would be re-elected. My statement was that that race was a pure Tossup that would be decided either way by less than a point.

Revisionist history seems to make him feel better though, so vaya con Dios.
