Will give Michael Moore credit; finally a leftist is taking on the green sham.

“LOS ANGELES (AP) — What if alternative energy isn’t all it’s cracked up to be? That’s the provocative question explored in the documentary “Planet of the Humans,” which is backed and promoted by filmmaker Michael Moore and directed by one of his longtime collaborators. It premiered last week at his Traverse City Film Festival.
The film, which does not yet have distribution, is a low-budget but piercing examination of what the filmmakers say are the false promises of the environmental movement and why we’re still “addicted” to fossil fuels. Director Jeff Gibbs takes on electric cars, solar panels, windmills, biomass, biofuel, leading environmentalist groups like the Sierra Club, and even figures from Al Gore and Van Jones, who served as Barack Obama’s special adviser for green jobs, to 350.org leader Bill McKibben, a leading environmentalist and advocate for grassroots climate change movements.”

epstein is not getting out for a while

multiple women told basically the same story about him

he did well most of the time, and pleaded the fifth, sixth and fourteenth amendment repeatedly for almost every question, for over eight hours. sometimes the prosecutor was messing with him …

  23. NYCmike says:

    Bitterlaw,

Before I make a judgment on the guards who were supposed to be watching Epstein, please answer my question: Will his death jeopardize any cases against the other people who participated in Epstein’s pedophilia?

  24. Phil says:

Trump ordered the execution on the same day he ordered the flags hoisted back to full mast 8-8 = HH = Heil Hitler.

    Seems pretty obvious.

  25. Bitterlaw says:

NYC – I don’t know. If those cases were based on Epstein cooperating/testifying it might impact them. However, his death might get victims to cooperate.

  26. Cash Cow TM says:

  27. NYCmike says:

It is an absolute travesty that this was allowed to happen.

  28. NYCmike says:

His death, I would think, will make it more difficult to get victims to cooperate. If the people involved are able to get a guy, IN CUSTODY, ON SUICIDE WATCH, to supposedly commit suicide, what will those involved be able to do to some twenty-something, down-in-the-dumps hooker who claims to be a victim of Epstein’s, and has a list of names which may include Presidents, Governors, Senators, etc, etc?

The guards who allowed this to happen should be fired for dereliction of duty, unless they want to come clean on how this happened.

  29. Phil says:

It was, shall we say, an extremely uh convenient event for some very rich and politically powerful people.

We’ll just leave it at that. LOL

  30. NYCmike says:

    Phil,

I don’t find it very funny, to be honest.

The Department of Corrections has been shown to be a tool for the rich.
Epstein, IMHO, was allowed to get off easy, after years of abusing others.
People like Clinton, Prince Andrew, maybe even Trump (I don’t think so, personally) may be able to skate away unscathed despite their complicity.

This was a power play, and they showed everyone out there who has the power.

  31. Bitterlaw says:

Maybe the Deep State or Bigfoot killed Epstein. Wait, only Bigfoot might be real.

I don’t do conspiracy theories. I’m glad he’s dead. I hope he suffered to the end.

  32. Bitterlaw says:

If there was such a powerful group out there, why was Epstein arrested at all?

NYVC is probably trying to decide if he should blame the Illuminati or the Bildebergs.

Warren’s higher disapproval rating in California may be the result of the fact she is the type of person that caused many people to flee to California in the first place. Warren would make Dorothy want to hide Toto.

Still she has strong support for her leftist views, and will finish high in the primary — at this point won’t even try to guess who will win.

  49. Robbie says:

Oh, and by the way. These Survey USA polls are yet another sign Trump is almost certainly going to lose next year. A president running for re-election in the low 40’s is political death, not just for Trump, but for the entire party. If I’m Tom Tillis, I’m in tears looking at these numbers because it means he’ll almost certainly be dragged down by Trump.

    MAGA!

  50. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    50. Agree Tina, Biden’s keepers were lax. But it is just going to continue to happen. Its a real dilemma for the Democrats — they badly need Biden as their candidate. There may be renewed pressure on Michelle Obama to run.

  51. Wes says:

Michelle Obama would be a pipe dream for the Dems. She advocates everything that during her husband’s administration undermined the Dem electoral coalition established in the late GWB years. She’s also not very charismatic and has no proven ability to run a campaign. Were I Trump I’d be salivating if Dems nominated her or her Mini Me, Kamala Harris. Those kinds of elitist liberals evoke strong negative emotions toward the Dems Trump would need to manifest to give him a viable path to reelection.

That’s why Dems won’t nominate either.

  107. @lisab – Beto literally said nothing of the sort.

You read the lying bullsh*t headline written by a polemicist. Even in the same article this is what he said:

“I think it’s really hard after everything that we’ve seen from his time as a candidate in 2016 to his repeated warnings of invasions to his repeated calls to send them back,” O’Rourke said. “Sending back people who are U.S. citizens, sending back people who were born in this country.”

“His description of white nationalists and klansmen and neo-Nazis as very fine people. His warnings of Muslims as being somehow inherently defective and attempting to ban them from entry into this country, and his transgender troop ban and his attack on anyone who does not look like or pray like or love like a majority of the country,” O’Rourke continued.

O’Rourke went on to say Trump is “dangerous to the future of America and will destroy what makes us so unique.”

  108. Big Joe says:

Calling Michael Brown’s death a “murder” is not really a conspiracy theory. It’s Harris’ interpretation of what happened. MEANWHILE, the OTHER computerized direction woman on the OTHER app on Mrs. Walt’s phone is giving conflicting directions because SHE is still trying to get Walt back to the interstate to head north in Wisc to his son’s house.

“We expect tariffs targeting the remaining $300bn of US imports from China to go into effect,” the bank said in a note sent to clients.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Aug. 1 that he would impose a 10% tariff on a final $300 billion worth of Chinese imports on Sept. 1, prompting China to halt purchases of U.S. agricultural products.

The United States also declared China a currency manipulator. China denies that it has manipulated the yuan for competitive gain.

The year-long trade dispute has revolved around issues such as tariffs, subsidies, technology, intellectual property and cyber security, among others.

Goldman Sachs said it lowered its fourth-quarter U.S. growth forecast by 20 basis points to 1.8% on a larger than expected impact from the developments in the trade tensions.

“Overall, we have increased our estimate of the growth impact of the trade war,” the bank said in the note authored by three of its economists, Jan Hatzius, Alec Phillips and David Mericle.

Rising input costs from the supply chain disruption could lead U.S. companies to reduce their domestic activity, the note said. Such “policy uncertainty” may also make companies lower their capex spending, the economists added.”

    He wanted to commit suicide.

He was allowed to commit suicide because someone got paid off so it could happen.

  192. lisab says:

no one would commit suicide before season 3 of westworld

    sorry, not gonna happen

  193. NYCmike says:

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7349729/Dozen-FBI-agents-raid-Jeffrey-Epsteins-Pedophile-Island.html

-Someone mentioned this already. A month after they arrest Epstein, they finally get around to raiding his island in the Caribbean.

Looks to me like the FBI charged the United States taxpayers to take a vacation, and they made it look like work.

  194. NYCmike says:

    jason,

When did I ever say it?

Trump signs bills into law. He is responsible for that.

Who sends the bill to him to get signed?

If you put all responsibility on Trump for the ridiculous spending bills, then go ahead and do Reagan, Bush, and Bush, and then let me know what strong conservatives they were.

  195. jason says:

The truth is that its hard to keep someone from killing themselves even with 30 minute checks. Padded cells are in psych wards, not regular jails. You can tear a strip of fabric from a sheet or clothing and strangle yourself fairly quickly.

  196. SanDiegoCitizen says:

The irony is the very same people who are demanding to know why Epstein wasn’t on suicide watch, are refusing to accept the fact he actually committed suicide.

  197. lisab says:

    shareblue, the rolcon site

has issued instructions to deny anything but suicide

and especially not talk about the clintons in regards to arkancide

  198. lisab says:

    accordingly …

Bill: that was not arkancide … we were just enforcing a gag order

  199. Tina says:

Let’s hope that Ghislaine Maxwell is being protected, like Mifsud, I don’t mean to be critical of fib and doj.

But they were quick to wire tap Trump tower with no crime alleged, but are only raiding pedo island now?

    Are they that inept?

  200. Tina says:

They protected El Chappo for two years, but not Epstein.

Epstein hosted Clinton twenty seven times at Pedo Island..

    Epstein started the Clintune Foundation,

  201. jason says:

    jason,

When did I ever say it?

Trump signs bills into law. He is responsible for that.”

I put ALL the responsibility on Trump for signing the bill into law. That is because ONLY HE can sign it. If he does not sign it doesn’t become law. Senators and congressmen can vote any way they want, none of them are actually responsible for the bill being enacted because of how they vote, because they don’t decide if he becomes law or not, unless they override a veto.

Your theory that somehow he is exempt from responsibility because all he does is sign (and you have made that point many times) is hogwash.

I don’t care about what other Presidents did or did not do. I don’t even dispute that sometimes signing the bill is politically expedient.

My point is that Trump is no fiscal conservative. Just like he is no free trader. These are facts you continually like to dispute.

And I love pointing out that when grandstand Ted shuts down the government because of deficit spending, you think he is a hero, because Obama was President. Now because Trump is President, who cares, right?

  202. jason says:

All from May and there are many Asian periodicals suggesting the same, China reneged.”

    BS

The deal was under negotiation. Renege implies something was signed.

Before the deal was signed, either side was free to propose whatever changes they wanted.

This sounds like a lot of Trump AFL-CIO Propaganda.

  203. jason says:

They protected El Chappo for two years, but not Epstein.”

    So what?

Maybe El Chappo didn’t want to kill himself.

Maybe he thinks he can tunnel out of Supermax, poor deluded bastard.

    This is apples and oranges.

  204. NYCmike says:

    “This is apples and oranges.”

    -Sounds more like banana republic.

  205. jason says:

The Chinese have their propaganda too.

“China has struck back at US accusations that it reneged on trade commitments, saying it was Washington that repeatedly tried to change the terms of the negotiations midway through the talks.

In its first detailed explanation of the failure of the discussions, China’s foreign ministry on Tuesday accused Washington of trying to force Beijing to suddenly increase the volume of goods it was willing to buy from the US as part of an agreement, violating terms struck in December.

The US “arbitrarily raised its asking price”, said a spokesman for the foreign ministry. “The hat that?.?.?.?violates promises is absolutely not on the Chinese head.”

  206. jason says:

I think a hat that violates promises would sell well at Wal Mart if the Chinese exports them.

  207. Tina says:

Yes, banana republic or Soviet (commie Country).

Bottom line, el chappo was a top prisoner.

    Epstein the same.

  208. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    218. The actual bottom line: Epstein wanted to commit suicide; El Chappo did not.

  209. NYCmike says:

    SDC,

We USUALLY find it in the interest of justice to not allow a person, who is in custody, who is also a potential witness to many other crimes besides his own, to take their life.

Epstein DID want to commit suicide. He tried it once before, supposedly.

That is why he should have been placed in the most secure place available, one with very little freedom to do such a thing.

  210. Tina says:

Yes, he committed suicide and tried to do it weeks ago.

    So, why so many irregularities.

  211. jason says:

Hey SDC, who knew that among so many talents, NYC is also an expert in suicide prevention?

“That is why he should have been placed in the most secure place available, one with very little freedom to do such a thing.”

Drivel. He was in a jail cell, presumably with very little means and very little freedom, which usually is the case in jail cells.

He still managed to kill himself.

  212. jason says:

We USUALLY find it in the interest of justice to not allow a person, who is in custody, who is also a potential witness to many other crimes besides his own, to take their life.”

It was not in the interest of justice, but jail suicides occur frequently and are hard to prevent.

  213. Paul says:

Only Trump had the reason and the resources to kill Epstein. He did it so that his rape of little girls wouldn’t come to light.

  214. Paul says:

Trump is a sick and should be shot for doing what he has done.

  215. Paul says:

    Derschowitz is relieved.

  216. NYCmike says:

    “Derschowitz is relieved.”

-He found the unisex bathroom? And you weren’t in it?

  217. janz says:

Paul, you are only projecting your own irrational thoughts fueled by TDS.

  218. Paul says:

I really don’t believe that. I’m just stirring the pot. Judith Miller’s article is good. Lots of questions. I think the most likely thing is he did commit suicide. But now it’s a total mess and half the people will go on a stupid Trump conspiracy and half will go on a stupid Clinton conspiracy.

  219. jason says:

I heard Paul is a pedophile. The sister of a friend of mine knows him and said he is a confirmed flasher and pervert too.

  220. Paul says:

    Jason,
    That’s no secret.

  221. jason says:

Epstein’s life, as he knew it, was over. He knew he would die in jail.

Personally, I would have done the same thing.

Especially knowing Paul will probably get arrested soon and there would always be a chance I would be put in the same cell with him.

  222. jason says:

stupid Trump conspiracy and half will go on a stupid Clinton conspiracy.”

Huh, what Trump conspiracy, there is nothing linking Trump to Esptein that seems in any way damaging to Trump.

There is a lot linking Clinton to Epstein.

But in any case, I don’t believe in any Clinton conspiracy either.

  223. jason says:

Miller’s piece can be condensed to the following:

“I was told to write an article, I have nothing to say, so I will say suicides shouldn’t happen in well run jails”.

    Zzzzzz……..

  224. Paul says:

If they’d both get the electric chair, that would be fine by me. And I’m against capital punishment.

  225. NYCmike says:

Clinton would get the electric chair for pedophilia.

Trump would get the electric chair for “mean” tweets.

    More compassion from liberals!

  226. Bitterlaw says:

Epstein killed himself. I’m sorry he wasn’t passed around the prison to be treated worse than his victims before he offed himself but I will try to get past the disappointment.

  227. SanDiegoCitizen says:

“It was not in the interest of justice, but jail suicides occur frequently and are hard to prevent.”

Does anyone really believe government run prisons are managed well? The one Epstein was in has a very bad reputation. It is understaffed, and guards work long overtime hours. A suicide watch is labor intense, so can see them dropping it after short time, especially if the prisoner’s attorney is challenging it.

  228. Cash Cow TM says:

BTW, has anyone here seen his stiff body?

PERHAPS he is still alive and the only way the Epstein investigation could go away and people in high places protected was to have a fake suey-side.

He will soon be working side by side with Elvis in that 7-11 in Idaho.

    DUN DUN DUH!

  229. Bitterlaw says:

Paul’s repeated desire to see Trump injured and/or killed is not funny. I hope the Secret Service reads HHR.

I can’t believe I almost forgot Gary Maxwell Day! In honor of the Greatest Texan HHR poster ever, here is a performance from his alma mater.

  231. SanDiegoCitizen says:

A poll of farmers in Iowa and Minnesota regarding tariffs:

“The survey, led by ISU Professor Wendong Zhang, found that 57 percent of those farmers somewhat or strongly supported the U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods that brought retaliatory tariffs from the Chinese government. Another 14 percent had neutral feelings about them. Only 30 percent somewhat or strongly opposed the tariffs.
There’s a caveat with those numbers. They come from a survey taken in March and April, before the latest exchange of trade blows between the United States and China. But fundamentally, the trade story has been on a stable trajectory. And, overall, the survey results suggest farmers still support Team Trump’s fight by a solid margin

  232. Phil says:

Maxwell the greatest Texan poster ever on HHR?

Ok, but just as long as I at least get Honorable Mention.

  233. janz says:

Allegation – “Trump is a sex offender.”  Fact:  anti sex-trafficking leader, Jaco Booyens, lauds Trump Administration for their historic work on fighting sex trafficking.  The first FL conviction of Epstein had only one person working with the prosecutors to convict Epstein — Trump

Allegation – “Trump is a racist.”   Fact:  Trump opened up, for the first time, his Mar-a-lago golf course in Palm Beach. FL to Jews and blacks, much to the consternation of the elite members at that time.  He also dated, hung out with and contributed to various black liberal leaders and their causes.  His Charlottesville comments were totally taken out of context — essentially skewing who he called “nice people” to be white supremists, while he made it clear he was referencing statue protesters and condemning other hateful groups such as antifa and white supremists.

Another non-publicized reality is how involved this administration has been in dealing with vulnerabilities of the electric grid.  The Obama administration didn’t meet once with the EMP Commission, while the Trump Administration has been accessible, interested and meeting frequently with this commission.  In fact an EMP expert, Peter Fry, has given the current administration an “A” for their attention to this problem.

All we hear and read about, though, in the MSM and anti-Trump people are how disgusting DJT’s tweets and polarizing comments are.  However, his actions, many of which have been far more beneficial for this country than previous presidents, are more often than not dismissed, trivialized, or put on mute.

Basically, it appears we are living in a narrative created loudly by the left that wants to crush Trump, no matter the cost.

  234. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    239. “I hope the Secret Service reads HHR.”

I have heard they often may check to determine if there is a risk. But Paul could be an adolescent in some foreign county like outer Slobovia, who is just trying to get attention. Usually the moderator of a site will block the individual when they make a threat like that.

  235. Bitterlaw says:

Phil – Maxwell was from Michigan but acted like he was the greatest Texan since the Alamo fell.

  236. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    244. If Paul is an American, then he is doing something that might come back to haunt him later in life. The NSA sweeps up and collects, and also electronically reviews, a vast amount of the E-mail and internet communications in the U.S.

  237. VictrC says:

Went to parents orientation at our child’s kindergarten tonight. The principle came out and told us the following:

This is not a gun free zone. Our teachers have concealed carry permits and will carry. We have lots of parents here that have concealed carry permits. We allow them to carry on campus.

I now know we made the correct choice of school.

If he wants to make his case I hope he has more than that.

  243. jason says:

  247. Tina says:

Well, the article from CNBC notes that some farmers are hurting because of the loss of the China market. However, CNBC is kind of funny, because they post data involving other Asian and European countries, showing that exports increased significantly since 2014. Exports to Canada, Japan, S.Korea, and Mexico have especially increased.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/10/trump-is-ruining-our-markets-farmers-lose-a-huge-customer-to-trade-war—-china.html

Bitter, what are the facts of your case?

Hmm, ahh, I don’t have any. But I think the whole thing is fishy.

  253. NYCmike says:

    Jason reads “No,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…….”

  254. jason says:

Ahh, ok, so it’s ok to screw them over with asinine trade wars.

They are rich enough to afford it and patriotic enough to take one for the team.

    Fabulous strategy.

  255. Tina says:

That is up to the ig and Fib to investigate.

But a person who had one suicide attempt and was removed from suicide watch (reportedly at the “request” of the pedos attorney), with no cell mate present, and no working camera is suspicious, fishy, and highly irregular.

  256. jason says:

You have to admire Tina. She can read this and find the positive!

“U.S. farmers lost their fourth largest export market after China officially cancelled all purchases of U.S. agricultural products, a retaliatory move following President Donald Trump’s pledge to slap 10% tariffs on $300 billion of Chinese imports.
China’s exit piles on to a devastating year for farmers, who’ve struggled through record flooding and droughts that destroyed crop yields, and trade war escalations that have lowered prices and profits this year.
“It’s really, really getting bad out here,” Bob Kuylen, a farmer of 35 years in North Dakota, told CNBC. “There’s no incentive to keep farming, except that I’ve invested everything I have in farming, and it’s hard to walk away.”

  257. Tina says:

The data cited by CNBC comes from the USDA.
It shows data on us exports from 2014 to 2018.

It does not show farmers hurting across the board.

The data does not appear fishy or irregular.

  258. jason says:

I guess Ohio farmers are not so rich and patriotic..

“Christopher Gribbs, a soybean farmer from Ohio whose family owns and operates 560 acres of land, says he won’t be voting for President Trump again in the 2020 election.
The Ohio farmer voted for Trump in the 2016 election along with more than 75% of rural voters in the farm belt.
Now Gribbs is pushing back against Trump’s trade policies and the retaliatory effects on American agriculture.”

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/08/i-wont-be-voting-for-the-president-again-says-ohio-farmer.html

  259. Tina says:

Well the dsts is towards the middle.

I wrote that us expoers to China are down.

  263. jason says:

I wrote that us expoers to China are down.

Which is what happens when you have trade wars with China, right?

Because we are talking about how Trump’s asinine trade wars are damaging farmers, right?

So the red herring about “exports grew to Mexico” is exactly that, a red herring, right?

It’s like saying a drought that bankrupts 100000 thousand farmers in Nebraska is ok because it really rained a lot this year in North Dakota.

  264. jason says:

“In a further move away from the old DSA’s commitment to “lesser evilism,” the convention voted that DSA should refuse to endorse any presidential candidate other than Bernie Sanders on the Democratic Party ballot line in 2020. DSA similarly tightened its national endorsement policy to only support class-struggle candidates running as open socialists. For the first time, the organization also openly committed itself to a “dirty break” from the Democratic Party. As the organization’s new national electoral policy explains, “DSA is committed to building political organization independent of the Democratic Party and their capitalist donors.

Diversity appears to be a problem for these Bolsheviks:

“By Sunday, the body had passed a range of significant political decisions that have the potential to help DSA meet its main immediate challenge: moving beyond a relatively narrow social composition by leading mass campaigns rooting the group in the multiracial working class. Until this type of deep organizing gets off the ground, DSA will primarily continue to recruit self-selecting individuals, who tend to be disproportionately white, male, and middle class.”

    The real story.

Trump’s Trade Wars Are Hurting Midwest Farmers, Banks, and State Coffers

“According to Fitch Ratings analyst, Michael D’Arcy, “China’s recently announced embargo on US agricultural imports escalates trade-related risks to the US farm sector, which is experiencing falling sales, prices and land values from previous tariffs. Effects of this downturn are felt in state revenues, agricultural loan performance and corporate earnings.” Those states that are less populous and not as diverse economically and which have high exposure to agriculture are at most risk. “Midwest states, such as Iowa where farm exports are approximately 3% of the Gross State Product, and Nebraska and Kansas, are more likely to see reduced tax revenues and budget flexibility as a result of the large contribution of export-driven agricultural industries to their economies.” Additionally, he went on to say that “Nebraska and Kansas, for which sales and income taxes accounted for 96% of general fund revenues in 2018, are more exposed to economic shocks than states such as Illinois and Minnesota that have greater trade exposure but less volatile revenue because exports account for a smaller portion of their economies.”

  297. Bitterlaw says:

Jason – This isn’t the Inca farming you are used to. This is highly sophisticated American farming. If they never sell anything, they will get rich. Tariffs are their friend.

  298. jason says:

Bitter, some have not gotten the message yet.

“Roger Johnson, president of the National Farmers Union, the nation’s second-largest general farm organization, told Bloomberg that Trump’s latest tariffs would hurt American farmers — a large part of his own voter base.

“Trade policy is not a game — it has real and serious consequences for rural America,” Johnson told Bloomberg, adding “Immediately after President Trump tweeted his tariff threats, already low commodity prices slipped yet again, but the long-term implications for our country’s reputation as a reliable trading partner are likely to be even more damaging.”

Trump announced in a Tweet that he would be stepping up tariffs adding 10% on top of the already 25% tariff on Chinese goods. Markets plunged on the news.

“It may take President Trump just a few minutes to write 280 characters, but family farmers and ranchers could be dealing with the fallout for decades to come,” Johnson said.

  299. jason says:

They also haven’t gotten the message that these are Trump tariffs, much better than your average tariffs.

I mean they are so good that even NYC, who “hates tariffs”, loves them almost as much as he loves Trump’s deficits, which are also vastly superior to former deficits.

This is because these deficits are the fault of the evil RINOS in Congress, which Trump only signs, while the old deficits were the fault of the Presidents because, after all, they signed them.

Absolutely it has, because the MSM never saw a leftist regime it didn’t like. That is why I don’t think there will be any bloodbath in Hong Kong.

But there are a lot of people in China itself, who now have luxury apartments and cars and I phones and frequent shopping malls and fancy restaurants, who might not be too happy with a military crackdown in Hong Kong.

China has come a long way from the days of the Cultural Revolution, and there are now a lot of people who do have a stake in the economy.

But you know that. You just want to pretend.

You sold out. Admit it. The truth will set you free.

  345. Phil says:

Almost makes you pull for Joe to get the nomination if it keeps Warren or Harris from winning the WH and getting control of the government. Seriously.

Even that scenario has a hole in it. Joe will be picking from the entire swarm of radicals (that’s the whole party) to be his VP. He will be 79 when he takes the oath and 80 before he’s in office even a year. Seems like the perfect storm for getting our first through and through raging socialist in the White House.

    Either way, we’re screwed.

  346. Tina says:

If she can get 270 EVs the country has changed so much that really nothing can stop socialism.

Biden can muddle the waters and pretend he is not a socialist, but Warren can’t.

Yeah, if Warren were the nominee at least America would have a shot in the voting booth at keeping a leftist out of the WH. Agree completely. Biden would indeed “muddle the waters” and get elected pulling in a socialist VP. Unfortunately, Democrats are well aware Joe is most electable and they’ll more than likely will go with him for the nomination for that reason….and yeah, it’s a shame a self destructive Trump is all we got standing in Uncle Joe’s way. Not much of an obstacle unfortunately.

  351. jason says:

Warren would be better for other reasons too.

She will be a drag for a lot of Dems in competitive districts even if she won the GE, I have little doubt Dems would do better in the House and Senate with Biden as the nominee.

  352. jason says:

Dang, now Trump has a possible bi-sexual utopian socialist vote.

And some people say he is not expanding the GOP base.

  353. Phil says:

Yeah, a Warren at the top of the ticket would mean more elected Republicans in both the House and Senate. We’d need as many as we could get to block as much of her leftist agenda as possible should she still be elected.

“The Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) is breathing a small sigh of relief as President Trump delays the implementation of additional tariffs on $300 billion of Chinese Goods.

“The announcement today that the Trump Administration will be delaying the additional 10% tariff on some footwear until December 1 is an acknowledgment that tariffs are indeed paid by Americans,” the group’s president and CEO Matt Priest said in a statement. “It is no coincidence that the Administration is allowing certain shoes to come in without raising taxes in hopes that prices do not rise at retail during the holidays. Our industry’s loud unified voice left a clear impression that shoe tariffs are already extremely high, upwards of 67.5%, and any further tariffs would directly raise costs on consumers and cost footwear jobs.”

Priest, also says while the FDRA is pleased with the decision to delay new tariffs on certain shoes, they are not satisfied.

“We will continue to fight for any exclusions on new tariffs and we will fight to delay new tariffs on shoes until the entire tariff threat is lifted off the backs of American families,” he said.

Cuccinelli said recent drops in migration, particularly among asylum seekers, is due in large part to President Trump’s deal with Mexico. The president scrapped plans to impose sweeping tariffs on the country in exchange for Mexico’s promise to crack down on illegal migration.

Steal a fish from one guy and give it to another–and keep doing that on a daily basis–and you’ll make the first guy pissed off, but you’ll make the second guy lazy and dependent on you. Then you can tell the second guy that the first guy is greedy for wanting to keep the fish he caught. Then the second guy will cheer for you to steal more fish. Then you can prohibit anyone from fishing without getting permission from you. Then you can expand the racket, stealing fish from more people and buying the loyalty of others. Then you can get the recipients of the stolen fish to act as your hired thugs. Then you can … well, you know the rest.”

Son Saves Family Of 6; Takes Out Armed Home Invader With Head Shot While Sisters Hide In Closet

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A planned attack on a family was thwarted by the son who was returning to the home with his mother. Upon arrival, chaos was happening inside the home as 3 armed intruders ambushed the father as he arrived home from work and forced him inside.

Shortly after this began, the son arrived at the home with his mother and another sibling in the vehicle. Once he realized that something was wrong, he grabbed his gun and went after the armed suspects in an attempt to stop them from terrorizing his family.

Police told reporters that it doesn’t appear that any of the suspects fired their guns. The son has been arrested for murder and is being held without bail per order of hawaian judge.

-If by “a rising China” he means it will eventually lead to a China that becomes more democratic over time, which is what politicians at that time believed, then YES, I agree with Biden.

BUT, since the Tienanmen Square crackdown, China has become more of an adversary as opposed to a “positive, positive development”, and should be treated as such.

jason, is China’s weaponization of man-made islands in the South China Sea a “positive, positive development”?

    394. I totally disagree with it. China represents a strategic threat to the U.S. Will again quote Andrew Michta:

“In today’s world of protected markets, extorted intellectual property, and government subsidies, to continue to argue that for the past four decades we have been engaged in anything resembling the ideal of free trade is to deny reality. It is time to abandon globalist mantras that a national manufacturing base no longer matters, or that the traditional export-import calculus no longer applies. It is time to abandon globalist mantras that a national manufacturing base no longer matters, or that the traditional export-import calculus no longer applies.Otherwise America’s decline as a global power will proceed apace, and the United States will run the increasing risk of being unable to maintain those elements of our supply chain that are vital to the national security. It is imperative for the United States to onshore the critical segments of our supply chain, and to implement stringent export controls and the rudiments of national economic policy, especially in areas impacting our military strength. In short, our core strategic priority should be to disentangle our economy from China’s, to stop educating China’s future weapons designers in our premier science and engineering colleges and universities, and to restore at least a semblance of a level playing field when it comes to international trade and investment.”

Even Biden now acknowledges there is a trade problem with China:

“Biden said the U.S. needs to act to counter China or it will “keep moving and robbing U.S. firms” of technology and intellectual property. But the former vice president — who supported the North American Free Trade Agreement and Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade deals that some of his Democratic rivals oppose — called for “new rules” and “new processes” to craft trade relationships.
Biden, who has led most early primary polls, called to “build a united front” of economic partners to hold China accountable.
“China can’t afford to ignore half the global economy if we’re united. That gives us substantial leverage to shape the future rules of the road on everything from the environment to labor to trade to technology to transparency,” Biden said”

We Would Like To State For The Record That Hillary Clinton Is An Upstanding Citizen And A Fine Human Being

A number of people have questioned our love for Hillary Clinton based on some satirical pieces published on our site recently.

We would like to clear things up by saying that Hillary Clinton is an upstanding citizen and a very fine human being. She is of excellent character. She would never hurt anyone. The people who wrote those jokes, headlines, and pieces that seemed to criticize Hillary have been dealt with.

Some conspiracy theories have been going around about the Clintons, and we think that’s just despicable. Deplorable, really. From Bill’s time in the White House all the way through Hillary’s spotless record as Secretary of State, the Clintons have served this country with honor and not a hint of scandal. For people to suggest they are so powerful and sinister to kill those who might expose some non-existent “wrongdoings” in their past is treason, really.

We just want to make certain that it’s clear how much we respect, love, and honor the Clintons. Honestly, they’re our favorite politicians of all the politicians, way better than that Trump guy. It’s a real shame Hillary didn’t win. She’s our president.

Above all, we want to make sure Hillary does not question our loyalty to her and the whole Clinton family. We have nothing bad to say about her. Also, just to be clear, we have no dirt or inside information on her whatsoever and nothing would be gained by our untimely deaths.

So, Hillary, we love you! Please do not hurt us.
