Bernie Sanders (D) 50%

Donald Trump (R-inc) 51%
Joe Biden (D) 49%

Donald Trump (R-inc) 43%

Joe Biden (D) 56%
Donald Trump (R-inc) 44%

So, Paul, if Bernie or Warren become the democrat nominee will you vote for either one of the,?

  4. SanDiegoCitizen says:

NBC/WSJ poll on 2020 general, since we’re 1 year out:

    Biden 50%, Trump 41%
    Warren 50%, Trump 42%

46% of voters are certain to vote AGAINST Trump, 34% are certain to vote FOR him, and 17% say they might vote either way depending on nominee

    Registered voters, +/- 3.7%

  5. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    4. Note the NBC/WSJ poll is of registered voters, not likely voters.

  6. Paul says:

    3. I’ll vote for whoever the Dem candidate is in order to remove the traitor.

  7. michael corleone says:

That’s funny. Paul is going to vote for Soviets to remove the “traitor”. You may want to rethink that one.

  8. Paul says:

Soviets are supremely better than Trump the Traitor.

  9. Phil says:

    The NBC poll is D+8.

    The 2016 exits were D+3.

If the electorate is D+8 no Republican has any chance at all Trump or anyone. In fact if that’s the makeup of the party break down of future presidential elections you may as well not hold them. The math for any future Republican would be impossible. We may as well be one party California.

It won’t be D+8. Count on it.

  10. Paul says:

It will be close to that, Phil. You can count on it.

  11. Phil says:

    Want to bet?

  12. Phil says:

Just so you know, the electorate didn’t reach D+8 even during the Obama wipe out of McCain in 2008. That electorate included the highest minority turnout in US electoral history.

The ABC poll a wk later had Trump down 50-38.

    I wouldn’t get cocky.

all trolls have mental health issues

  20. SanDiegoCitizen says:

Biden seems to be having a few issues himself. Am trying to decipher this statement — low employment does not make people better off?

“During an interview with “PBS News Hour” host Judy Woodruff, Biden attempted to buck the narrative that Trump’s economic policies are working for average Americans.

“The economy — new jobs numbers out today, look pretty good,” Woodruff said. “The unemployment rate is staying very low, 3.6 percent. It’s as low as it’s been in 50 years. President Trump has a strong hand going into the — “

Biden was quick to interject, saying Woodruff’s so-called “analysis” of the situation was all wrong.

“Absolutely wrong about that,” Biden replied.

“Look, go back to your old neighborhood. Find me middle-class folks who think they’re better off. Find me anybody out there who thinks their children are going to be as well off as they are,” Biden said. “Do you think they are in fact actually able to benefit from what’s happening here?”

  21. SanDiegoCitizen says:

    Rematch. Harvard Harris Poll:

“Those surveyed in the late October poll were asked, “Suppose Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg and John Kerry decides to enter the race, who would you support as a candidate for President?”

Joe Biden received the support of 19 percent of Democrat respondents. Clinton was in a close second with 18 percent. Elizabeth Warren came in third at 13 percent. John Kerry was at 8 percent, while Bloomberg was at 6.
With the race as it is today, the poll finds 33 percent of Democrats would support Biden in the primary, and Bernie Sanders in second place with 18 percent. Warren comes in third with 15 percent.

What this poll finds is that if Clinton were to enter the race, roughly one-half of Biden’s supporters would drop him for Hillary.”

    Trump+3, Trump 47, Sanders 44
    Trump+4, Trump 45, Buttigieg 41
    Trump +6, Trump 47, Warren 40

Instead, we find the president continuing to excel among white voters without a degree, and coming close to his ’16 margins there.
The Trump voters who supported Democrats in the midterms say they’ll back Trump by 2-1 margins
Trump leads all in Obama-Trump counties, precincts”

But to vote, a right that all American should be anxious to protect, asking for an ID is somehow
“making it difficult for non-white voters to vote”.

You can’t make this sh-t up.

There is only ONE reason why Dems don’t want the right to vote limited to eligible voters. They think illegible voters will vote for Democrats.

Tomorrow is election day in Kentucky. My best guess is Bevin wins by 3 points or less. It will be interesting to see if he hits 50% since there is a somewhat credible third party effort here.

The commercials and the advertising on behalf of Bevin have been a full-on embrace of Trump and the agenda on which he plans to run on next year. He’s clearly tried to mobilize the hard core Trump base and Trump is visiting Lexington this evening.

Knowing two members of the KY House Republican caucus, Bevin is basically despised by his own party in Frankfort. He spent the last four years acting like a jerk and doing everything he could to cut out the input of the legislature. He also picked a fight with the teachers this past year that didn’t go well for him.

The only reason the race is competitive in Kentucky is Bevin. However, the state that continues to elect Rand Paul and Tom Massie is just conservative enough and just Republican enough to re-elect him. Beshear could’ve won, but he seemed to take the summer off and it gave Bevin an opening he exploited.

Straight out of MSNBC or CNN talking points.

So far nobody else has. Yesterday I read Kellyanne Conway pulled out the transcript and asked some CNN fake journolist to do it to no avail.

They are going with the emoluments clause as the high crime that he commits in there. They claim that him asking for a “favor” investigating 2016 election malfeasance is actually tantamount to him asking for dirt on Biden to use in his campaign, and therefore receiving a benefit from a foreign government.

That’s the crux of their argument. Other far left are saying that the fact that any foreign dignitary who stays at a Trump property is a violation of the emoluments clause and each instance is impeachable.

You can’t make this stuff up.

When the libs at SNL begin mocking Warren you know she’s in trouble. The Democrats are looking for another candidate outside of Biden who they don’t think is capable of making it to the finish line and Warren who they know is just too far out of the mainstream to win in November.

Sorry Vic, Lisab corrected the link.

  75. VictrC says:

The likelihood of another Dem candidate being drawn in is very high, but the danger of that is great for a couple of reasons.

1.To get infrastructure together, to put a team together to win this late in the primary structure, especially in a crowded primary is extremely difficult as we have seen before. Who do the Dems have that can get that done?

    2. If any Dem gets into the race whose name is not Hillary her followers (and she) will Be extremely upset and demand its her. I still think she is the most likely to get involved.

    3. What if a Kerry is recruited and comes in. The Sanders people will be upset and may stay home. This will make two elections in a row where the establishment conceivably took them out of a potential nomination that his supporters thought he should have had. What about the others who have put over a years work of work, campaigning, fund raising, debates, etc. You really think their supporters will take kindly to a Kerry (a white male btw) coming in and taking the nomination

Let me see if I get this timeframe correct…
The House, led by Nancy Pelosi, in all likelihood will impeach President Trump perhaps sometime around Christmas. Then Speaker of the House Pelosi will issue an invitation around a week later or sometime in the first week of January, 2020 to President Trump to give his State of the Union address, perhaps sometime in the first week in February, 2020. Meanwhile, the Senate takes up the impeachment trial and votes no sometime in January and right before the State of the Union address.
    Got it.

  78. Phil says:

Warren is cooked. Her medicare for all and the details she released that she expects to pay for it with has finished her. She has peaked and it’s downhill from here.

    So where are we?

    Sanders will never be nominated.

Warren is finished. Medicare for all.

Biden? Democrats don’t believe Biden is mentally up to it and they don’t believe he will make it another 12 months. His scandal doesn’t help.

So, where does that leave us?

Do they recruit John Kerry? Does Hillary jump in to save the day? How about Amy Klobuchar? My guess is that the last option would be their best shot.

  79. lisab says:

the significance of SNL is that every writer and performer on the show knows they can be fired anytime if they write the wrong thing

    and

something she CANNOT change. she cannot go back on medicare for all.

Will Hillary try to fill the void? She’d love to, but she hardly fits the bill of an electable white knight. Far from it

  86. VictrC says:

Mayor Pete is dead in the water. I think Trump attacking her might backfire and I don’t know where she stands on the issues so I won’t say anything negative until I learn more, but she seems like a backbencher and to come out and defeat Trump who will eventually raise close to a Billion dollars?

Hillary. That really is the only logical choice for the points I made above. If someone else comes in her supporters, and she, will be upset as they thinks she’s entitled to it. Problem is, so will voters in WI, PA, MI et al. They will think she’s running because she’s entitled to it. I don’t think the Clinton brand will be enough to overcome her negatives.

  87. Phil says:

No, Hillary isn’t really an option. She is someone outside the current field and that is it. Baggage upon baggage.

I just know Warren isn’t going to get it at this point.

The libs love her, as do the suburban woman that Bitterlaw knows.

And of course, once the Jebots see all the cute pictures with her and Dubya, they will be on board.

Like I’ve said numerous times, shame on those who pushed @JoeBiden to run in 2020. They know who they are.

I’m beginning to think Adam Schiff was duped by Brennan loyalist Eric Ciaramella. He was promised a quid pro quo–then Trump released the transcript. They got nothing. Now Schiff is left holding the bag on the dumbest hoax since Jussie Smollett mugged himself w a Subway Sandwich.

  102. VictrC says:

    Paul

I don’t see Harris as being someone who enhances the ticket. She doesn’t help in WI, PA, MI et al, in fact, with so many worried that Biden wont make the term his VP candidate would come under more scrutiny and she is not a good candidate.

As I said I don’t know what Klobuchar brings to the table

  103. CG says:

*If* Biden is nominated, I think he might pick someone like Gretchen Whitmer, the Governor of Michigan.

Klobuchar could be a possibility. Maybe Harris. I do not see Biden picking Warren for #2 unless there is some sort of unlikely brokered convention scenario.

  104. CG says:

#97, if you don’t want to use the term “hateful”, fine but can you point to a valid reason for those “white pride” flyers to be made?

Is that really something you want to associate yourself with?

  105. CG says:

I saw there was talk about Biden “speaking to a screen” at the Iowa LJ (formerly JJ) Dinner.

I would assume that the people talking about this would also realize the other candidates did the same thing. (excluding Bernie Sanders who was the only one that a podium was brought out for.)

It was an event with thousands of people in a big arena with seating surrounding the stage and up in the balconies around the whole arena, etc. The candidates (besides Sanders) all walked around the stage with hand held microphones trying to make eye contact with people in the audience at various points in the arena, regardless of where the CSPAN camera might have been at the moment.

So, let’s at least be honest and acknowledge that there is video of most of the others also speaking “to a screen.”

  110. NYCmike says:

“Is that really something you want to associate yourself with?”

-That is why I am asking for help…..because I don’t see the “white pride” angle.

I don’t feel guilt because of my skin color. I can’t do anything about it.

Do you feel guilt over your skin color?

  111. CG says:

I am not saying you should feel guilty but why the need to advertise that?

Those who wish to advertise that they are “proud to be white” are trying to piss someone else off.

Is this really something you want to make a stand on?

  112. NYCmike says:

For a black person, or a hispanic, or an asian, why wouldn’t they also think the same thing?

    “It’s ok to be black.”
    “It’s ok to be hispanic.”
    “It’s ok to be asian.”
“It’s ok to be native american.”

  113. CG says:

Maybe because historically there have been a lot of people telling them it’s not.

I would prefer if everyone was just proud to be an American but what you are trying to argue about is just sad for you.

  114. NYCmike says:

“Those who wish to advertise that they are “proud to be white” are trying to piss someone else off.”

-The phrase used “It’s ok to be white.” doesn’t include the word “proud” or “pride”, and it doesn’t demean any other race, creed, gender, etc.

Why are you allowing the PC/media to define those words differently than written?

  115. CG says:

At no time in America has it never not been “ok” to be white. It has always meant you have had it better than some others.

So, if you wish to embrace identity-based grievance NYC, you should focus on your Italian or Irish background (whichever one you have more “pride” in), since those folks specifically faced some serious discrimination at times in America’s past.

  116. NYCmike says:

    “CG”,

You are doing the same thing that the media/PC folks are doing.

I am not pushing my “whiteness”. Neither is the phrase being used on that flyer.

It is saying that other people shouldn’t use the color of your skin against you, as in the term “white privilege”.

  117. CG says:

Nobody is going to type and distribute the words “it’s ok to be white” unless they are trying to piss someone who is not white off. America allows the freedom to do things like that in a macro sense, but get real.

We don’t need to say “it’s ok to be white.” It’s taken as a given. Someone has to be beyond insecure to feel like they need to be reminded of that.

  118. NYCmike says:

#123 – WTF are you speaking about?

I am speaking LITERALLY about that flyer.

Do you know that it is affiliated with some white supremacist group?

Or are you just swallowing the media/PC storyline they are pursuing?

  119. CG says:

Do you really, legitimately not see a statement “it’s ok to be white” as a method of White Identity?

I’m against Identity movements for any race, but if white people are doing it, they are really worthy of scorn.

  120. CG says:

I am quite willing to state that nobody is going to type “It’s ok to be white” and make the effort to widely distribute it unless they are engaging in white identity politics. Seems like common sense.

Should such a thing be illegal? Well, we have freedom and speech and all so probably not, but don’t be a fool about what this is.

and when I asked her why the House Dem staffer was reaching out to her, Yovanovitch suggested maybe the outreach was just “to catch up”. So a House Dem staffer she never spoke w/before in her life, helping to lead this impeachment, may have just been reaching out “to catch up”?

  125. NYCmike says:

“We don’t need to say “it’s ok to be white.” It’s taken as a given. Someone has to be beyond insecure to feel like they need to be reminded of that.”

-You are falling for the people who divide us into groups.

If the flyer is associated with a white supremacist group which considers themselves above those with different skin tones, then your point is valid.

BUT, that flyer on its own says nothing of the sort, and there should be no controversy at all about it.

As an example, please tell me why a black person, or a hispanic, or an asian, etc, etc would have an issue with a flyer that says “It’s ok to be white.”

Would the various groups have an issue with “It’s ok to be black.”?

  126. jason says:

I am fine with “it’s ok to be white”. Or Jewish. Or Amish. Or black. Or Native American.

We are in real trouble if it’s ok to be anything in America but it’s not ok to be white.

  127. CG says:

This is a free country so carry on with your White Pride and claims of being aggrieved and victimized in America.

    Goodnight.

  128. NYCmike says:

“Do you really, legitimately not see a statement “it’s ok to be white” as a method of White Identity?””

    -Not at all.

  129. jason says:

Those who wish to advertise that they are “proud to be white” are trying to piss someone else off”

I think the problem would lie in the person who got pissed off.

Is black pride ok but white pride is not?

Do you really want to make a stand on that?

We really need to stop this crap that everything is racist, sexist, misogynist. People engaging in this are doing more to divide the country than a few kooks on the right and the left who really are racists.

  130. NYCmike says:

“This is a free country so carry on with your White Pride and claims of being aggrieved and victimized in America.”

-Wow, TDS has wrecked you, or else you hid it really well before he came along.

Still no sign of the word “Pride” or “proud” in the flyer “It’s ok to be white.”…….but “CG” tends to see things differently from up in the clouds….

  131. jason says:

I think Corey thinks every white person should be walking around in shame because of all the injustices white people have perpetrated over the centuries.

  132. jason says:

So if you are ok with “it’s ok to be white” you are now a White Supremacist? Really? Is that where we are at?

TDS is really out of control. These people are nuts.

  133. Phil says:

Another Never Trumper looking down on us “racists” below.

It’s what they do and it’s ridiculous. They aren’t any different than the leftists. Their sense of moral superiority is just pathetic. Their smugness is nauseating.

    It’s basically nuts.

  134. jason says:

Corey is really in a sad downward spiral.

Recently he asked why Schiff should be censored, so he must agree with his Stalinist inquiry.

Now he comes here to accuse everyone who doesn’t agree with him of being white supremacists.

    Unhinged, really.

  135. Wes says:

    Attention, Woke Corey and others:

  136. jason says:

The fact that Robbie feels more affirmative that a Republican may win an election..

    LOL

That is a rare occurrence for Amoral Scumbag

But let’s not get carried away, he didn’t actually say he WANTED a Republican to win an election.

    Now THAT would be extraordinary.

  137. CG says:

Here is some background on the new “It’s Ok to be White” campaign..

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_OK_to_be_white

If this is truly what you people want to associate yourselves with, considering the sources and those who have gotten behind this, that’s on you.

I think you are being taken for suckers.

  138. NYCmike says:

First line from the wiki link provided by “CG”:

“It’s okay to be white[1] or It’s OK to be white (IOTBW) is a slogan based on a poster campaign organized on the American imageboard 4chan’s board /pol/ in 2017, as a “proof of concept” that a “harmless message” would cause a media backlash.”

-The person at 4chan who did this was correct.

  139. CG says:

Yeah, that’s really a crowd you would want to be associated with….

  140. NYCmike says:

You really are off your rocker.

The media react, as did you, exactly like the people at 4chan said you would.

The words “It is ok to be white.” are harmless.

It is the invented meanings in your head that give it power over the minds of the snowflakes in college, in the media, and, it seems like, people like you.

And your delusional hatred of Trump, I am pretty sure, has helped lead you down this pathetic path.

“CG”, Stop playing the victim. And please tell kids at the schools where these flyers get posted to “grow up, stop being a victim, and declare yourself an individual instead of a member of a tribe”.

  141. CG says:

So, now you are standing with 4chan. You and Pepe the Frog.

  142. NYCmike says:

    Standing with them…..No.

Looking at a situation they propagated and admitting they were correct in their assessment of the media and woke snowflakes like you…….Yes.

And to mention Pepe the Frog…..Jordan Peterson got maligned with that character as well……I’ll gladly accept his company.
