Biden Leads Trump By 4% in GA, Trump Leads Biden By 1% in WI

Two polls out over the past two days that make absolutely no sense when put out side by side. Apparently at the same time Joe Biden is beating Donald Trump by 4% in Georgia according to Public Policy Polling, he is trailing Trump in Wisconsin according to The Trafalgar Group.

    Joe Biden (D) 49%
    Donald Trump (R-inc) 45%

    Donald Trump (R-inc) 46%
    Joe Biden (D) 45%

Meanwhile at the US Senate level, Republicans are probably hoping for a top-two finish for their two top candidates to avoid a toss up race in a runoff.

    Doug Collins (R) 23%
    Kelly Loeffler (R-inc) 21%

    Raphael Warnock (D) 20%
    Matt Lieberman (D) 11%
    Ed Tarver (D) 3%

    Doug Collins (R) 43%
    Raphael Warnock (D) 41%

    Raphael Warnock (D) 43%
    Kelly Loeffler (R-inc) 40%

In testing they do not have a Collins-Loeffler runoff match up. The WI poll was done June 23-25 among 1021 likely voters and the GA poll was done June 25-26 among 734 registered voters.

The GA senate polls are pretty cool. Keep in mind that Nov 3 is only the primary for the special election, its not the GE. It’s a jungle primary to make things more fun, so all candidates show up on one ballot, the top two finishers advance to the run-off.

Collins and Loeffler are polling 1st and 2nd in the PPP poll. If this holds, those two will advance guaranteeing a R hold. PPP did poll Warnock against both of them, but that match-up may never happen if their own polling holds up.

R’s have two viable candidates, D’s are splitting their vote 3 ways. That’s never a good formula. I wonder if D’s will try to get one candidate to drop out (or even two).

D candidate would need to hit 50% to win (whether outright, or run-off). 50% is a tough hill to climb in GA for a D.

Pastor Raphael Warnock is the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the former pulpit of Martin Luther King Jr. Warnock grew up with 11 brothers and sisters in public housing and became the first in his family to graduate from college. Throughout his life, Reverend Warnock has worked to improve people’s lives by making healthcare affordable and accessible, and ensuring that everyone has the right to vote. He’s running for Senate because he knows right now too many decisions are made in Corporate boardrooms, and Washington backrooms, not for the people. That’s why he is refusing to accept a dime of Corporate PAC money and will always stand up for all Georgians. Having heard this, let me ask you again, If the special election were held today, and the Candidates were Democrat Raphael Warnock, Democrat Matt Lieberman, Democrat Ed Tarver, Republican Kelly Loeffler, and Republican Doug Collins, who would you vote for?

    111. Tina says:

Pretty clear trend, Phil. Hope it continues.

Naw, no leading question there. Perfectly unbiased.

      What’s the problem?

    114. Phil says:

Not that the Monday trend is going to be reported, Tina.

BREAKING: L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva tells me he will NOT enforce the beach closure order for 4th of July weekend. Says LASD was not consulted, and they’ll only enforce closing parking lots/traffic on PCH. Says “We are Care First, Jail Last” in shot at county. @FOXLA

    116. Tina says:

Or I think the beach goers can just call it a “protest.”

Just hope no Republicans are protesting.

    117. Tina says:

Just a few days ago, Psycho Tucker wanted trump to send I. the military to curb rioting. This would have been a disaster for obvious reason. (A big tell off was the Jebot advocating for military).

Now Cuck Tucker “changed” his position and is “happy” Trump did not go in.

Trump has disrespected Native communities time and again. He’s attempted to limit their voting rights and blocked critical pandemic relief. Now he’s holding a rally glorifying white supremacy at Mount Rushmore — a region once sacred to tribal communities. https://bit.ly/38neWkN

    124. PresidentPaul! says:

Things would be so much better for them if the Natives still controlled the country so they could kill each other with sticks, sleep in tents on the dirt and do ritual torture to each other whenever they got hold of a captive.

It seems for now Texas has peaked around 6,000 cases a day. I take it as a good sign they haven’t substantially gone higher than that number. It may suggest Texas is in the process of peaking.

If we use Illinois as an example, that state saw a similar one month or so build towards its own peak and then began a trip down the backside of the curve. The same might apply for Arizona. The state seems to have hit a ceiling, for now, of 3,500 cases a day.

Florida may not be quite there yet. Over the weekend, several state health officials suggested it might be mid July. Hopefully, the peak comes sooner.

I do think surveillance testing and discovering lots of asymptomatic cases will pay dividends. The main means of transmission is being cutoff.

More fraud among Chinese companies exposed. This time from a company called kingold (that copycatted the name of Kinross gold in the west.) Kind of reminds of the copycatted starbucks company (Lucky coffee!) they had that had all fake balance sheets.
83 Tons Of Fake Gold Bars: Gold Market Rocked By Massive China Counterfeiting Scandal

The above story is shocking in exposing just how multi-faceted fraud is in China: capitalizing on pre-existing cronyism and connections with China’s powerful army, the founder of Kingold was allowed to basically do anything he wanted, no questions asked, including counterfeiting over 83 tons of gold bars to get billions in funds to participate in China’s housing bubble, only for a series of unexpected events to unwind the frauds one after another and expose the type of sordid scandal that is at the heart of most Chinese “enterprises” and business ventures.
As for the gold, yes – several billion in gold bars never existed and yet resulted in a cascade of subsequent cash flow events allowing tens of billions in funds to be released, “benefiting” not only founder Jia, but China’s broader economy. Which is, needless to say, terrifying: because whereas just after the financial crisis China was engaged in building ghost cities, everyone knew these were a symbol of demand that would never materialize, even if the cities themselves did exist. However, it now appears that a major part of China’s subsequent economic boom has been predicated on tens of billions in hard assets – such as gold – which simply do not exist.

I’m not a hoaxer but I’m as skeptical about COVID-19 as most are on this blog.

But I think it’s time for Trump to take the loss on masks. The recent polls suggest that right-leaning voters are already starting to come home as the protests start to fade away as a distant memory.

It’s time to take this mask issue away from them. Trump’s COVID numbers actually weren’t that bad even in the Siena polls against Biden. Without the mask issue, the media wouldn’t be able to hide the positive economic numbers.

    129. PresidentPaul! says:

Yep I said at the time during that Arizona rally that masks should have been mandatory, and he should have banned fat and old people.

    130. Blobbie says:

This economic lockdown is the single worst decision ever made by a president of the United States. Nevermind the Civil War, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow or the wars against the Native Americans. I am not saying it is Trump’s fault, but this is a travesty.

The lockdown didn’t work and now we have a tinder box. Governors and mayors have stolen or liberties from us, but the number of cases continues to grow, especially in the Red States.

The damage that’s been done to our country’s psyche is undeniable and the economy could take a decade to recover.

How Trump handles the next few weeks could well be decisive for his re-election chances. As we saw all through his presidency his twitter rants and fighting with the press have caused Rebublicans to abandon him and give Biden a 12 to 20 point lead in Red states. A similar repeat in June and it could be lights out for Trump.

Not that I am suggesting this, but we may need to select another candidate at the convention. It cannot be Pence, a he is too closely associated with Trump. It needs to be someone who can gain support of the real conservatives, someone like Jeb Bush.

    131. Sheeple,Jr. says:

1- Last week, lots of media articles that it will take the military to dislodge Trump from the White House if he loses in November

2- This week, media, and FOX News in particular, lots of discussion that Trump plans to withdraw from the Presidential race soon.
Last night, Martha McCallum discussed this for ten minutes with a Trump supporter who could not stop laughing at her.

Fox News has been dead to me for awhile now. It is evident the corporate winds at top( the young Murdochs) are blowing in a different direction politically. I only watch Fox Business ( except Cavuto and Clayman) now: although a business show they cover a lot of politics as well.
