A new poll from Marketing Resource Group claims Republican Attorney General Mike Cox and Democratic Lt. Governor John Cherry are the leading candidates in their respective primaries to see who will replace failed Democratic Governor Jennifer Granholm in Michigan.
GOVERNOR – MICHIGAN – GOP PRIMARY (MRG)
Mike Cox 27%
Pete Hoekstra 23%
Mike Bouchard 15%
Rick Snyder 2%
Tom George 2%GOVERNOR – MICHIGAN – DEM PRIMARY (MRG)
John Cherry 40%
John Freeman 9%
Alma Wheeler Smith 8%
This poll was done September 12-20 among some people, presumably registered voters.

I look for Cox to win twice next year
I’m not sure this race matters. If I understand correctly, the government takeovers of GM and Chrysler give the president the right to name the governor of MI.
Apparently he thinks he has right to name the nominee in New York. Patterson seems to think otherwise, and slammed Obama and his administration lack of progress yesterday. Isnt it fun to watch the Democrat Party monkee island fling poo at one another?
Excellent news guys.
Iran says enriched uranium is for medical purposes.
Whew. I feel relieved now.

Yes. The Carter Center is expected to release a statement any moment now lambasting Paterson as a “virulent, ignorant racist a****le.”
GOP gets big bump of donors in August
By Fredreka Schouten and Matt Kelley, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — Despite being in the minority in Congress, Republican campaign committees outraised Democrats by $1.7 million in August as they have aggressively collected political cash amid the rancorous debate over health care.
Republicans also held an edge over Democrats in the amount of money available, when counting debts, as both parties set the stage for the 2010 elections, in which more than three dozen competitive House and Senate seats are at stake.
The GOP spike is a departure. In each of the past four years, the party in power — whether Democrat or Republican — raised more than the minority’s fundraising committees in August, a USA TODAY review of campaign records shows.
I just saw this headline on the HuffPuff:
GOP Senator Pleads For 72-Hour Delay So Lobbyists Can Read Health Care Bill
So now insisting on giving EVERYONE has a chance to read bills is a favor to lobbiests? What a joke!
how are we looking- does it look like omething disastrous will pass??Are mandates inevitable, or not?
TimV
Victor Davis Hanson on LGF
Tim V…..while I was a big Palin supporter as McCain’s running mate, in fact she is the reason I even voted, I am not as confident as you that she would make the best candidate for our party. In fact I am not even sure she will be running as a Republican. Don’t you think that the media has really tarnished her image to the point that the public will remember all of the accusations that were brought up before, whether true or not, and dismiss her as a viable candidate?
The media’s tireless campaign to take down Palin has done its damage. She can’t win.
John Thune for president.
11 and 12- I have confidence in Palin. The MSM tried to destroy her but she has come back strongly.
11 and 12
First Beck, now on Palin. Chekote leads the way.
palin is going to take the national gop apart like she in alaska. thune has no chance.
