” but for those who come here and never read the comments”

people still do that? Why? We have day 6 of civil debate!

  3. Big D says:

Would Burnner have a chance in Ohio? Can’t the GOP tie ACORN around her neck and sink her pretty easy with all the voting stuff and rulings she made?

#9 D +14? Holy crap lol – we havent been D+14 since James Madison wiped out what was left of the federalist in 1808 lol

  8. Eph Rove says:

    10. Actually that was my guess, but probably damn close to that though

  9. Gary Maxwell says:

I have a hard time believing that Ohio is now more Democratic leaning than Michigan. That has never ever been the case since at least 1960, if ever. Rob Portman is a very well known politician in Ohio, but he is barely ahead of the Democrat in Ohio and the Republican in Michigan is running away from his opponent? Not able to reconcile that, something is very wrong with one or both polls.

  10. sam says:

    Gary Maxwell:

Rob Portman is not well known in Ohio.

He has never run for any statewide office before, having been a Congressman from southern Ohio. Last Quinn poll I saw, about 60% of respondents had not heard of him.

Budget directors are not well known figures.

#12 I think MI is just that much more bad lol – 8 years of the thugette Granholm and 15% unemployement

  12. rdelbov says:

I think Portman wins especially as the democrats tear into eachother

  13. Wes says:

Portman is the best candidate of the three, Rdel. I think he wins too.

  14. Gary Maxwell says:

National budget director on a national stage are unknowns. Ever heard of David Stockman? Rob Portman is pretty well known by me in Texas, I think he starts with more than a Congressman’s base.

  15. sam says:

Voters don’t know budget directors, wonks do.

  16. sam says:

Ask who the current budget director is, and 95% of voters will not know who that is.

  17. sam says:

Heck, 95% of voters don’t know who the Fed chairman is.

  18. Jerry says:

1976 Ford Vs Carter Eventhough Pres. Gerald R. Ford is a native of Grand Rapids MI. He carried Michigan and Pres. Jimmy Carter carried Ohio in 1976. So the Republican Carried Michigan but lost Ohio by a narrow margine so it did happened.
