Thursday Morning Tidbits (w/ CA and KS Polls)

The big news in the polling/internet world is another national polling aggregator site, Pollster.com, has joined a left-wing website, HuffingtonPost.com. This is on the hells of FiveThirtyEight.com joining the liberal newspaper The New York Times. Both polling sites tended to be liberal anyway, so it is really no surprise to see them link up with other liberal news sites.

Some CNN producer who decided to praise a Hezbollah leader who died was fired. It makes you wonder, how many others at CNN have these same views but are smart enough to keep it to themselves?

Last night we got the second half of the Field Poll showing Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer barely ahead of Republican Carly Fiorina.

This poll was done June 22-July 5 among 1005 likely voters. Yesterday evening, Rasmussen put out a poll showing that no matter who wins the Republican nomination for the US Senate in Kansas, the seat should easily remain in Republican hands

Primary Polls For OH, KS and AL

We have primary polls from three different states today for a variety of races. We’ll start with the Democratic primary poll done by Quinnipiac University for the US Senate race in Ohio where Lee Fisher holds a 7% lead over Jennifer Brunner for the right to take on Rob Portman in the General Election.

The primary for this race is May 4th and this poll was done March 25-28 among 978 likely primary voters. Survey USA weighs in on the Republican race for the US Senate in Kansas.

This poll was done March 26-28 among 519 likely voters. Finally, Public Policy Polling has a new primary poll for both sides in the Alabama gubernatorial race.

KS: Moran Surges To 7% Lead Over Tiahrt

In the Republican primary battle to see who will replace Sam Brownback in the US Senate, Jerry Moran has now opened up a 7% lead over his fellow Congressman Todd Tiahrt in a new poll from Survey USA.

KS: Moran Sinks In US Senate Race

About two months ago, Jerry Moran held a double-digit lead over fellow Congressman Todd Tiahrt in their primary bids to replace Sam Brownback in the US Senate next year. Now Moran’s lead is down to a mere three percent in the latest poll from Survey USA.

KY: Paul Takes Leads From Grayson

A new poll from the state of Kentucky fromSurvey USA now shows Rand Paul ahead of Trey Grayson in the battle for the Republican nomination in Kentucky.

KS: Moran Leads Tiahrt By 6%

More polling out today, this time for the Republican primary to see who will replace soon-to-be Governor in the state of Kansas. The latest numbers from Survey USA show Jerry Moran leads Todd Tiahrt in the battle of the Kansas US Congresspeople.

This poll was done August 7-9 among 471 likely voters.

KS: If Sebelius Wants It, The US Senate Can Be Hers

In addition to the new poll from Kentucky, Daily Kos and Research 2000 also released a new poll showing Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius ahead of two Republican candidates by double digits to see who will replace outgoing US Senator Sam Brownback.

The race for the nomination on the GOP side among the two Congressmen is tight, with Tiahrt barely ahead.
