Schiff is one of the slimiest people I’ve ever seen. What a sc*mbag.

He had his chance to prove Trumps guilt. He couldn’t get one first hand witness to testify. None. The presidents phone call is openly released.

They know they have no case so they are tying this “fair trial” garbage. That Trump has to prove his innocence. WRONG. He’s innocent until they prove guilt and they can’t.

    6. jason says:

So you can make some money if you think Scumbag Romney and Collins and Murkowski will all vote to convict.

Bet $1000 at 6 cents, collect about $16000 if they vote to impeach.

    7. Phil says:

I wouldn’t make that bet. They get zero of those to vote for conviction. Not one. Book it.

    8. jason says:

I think it will be zero too.

      We will see.

      Chuckie Schumer in other times:

“It has shaken me that we stand at the brink of removing a President — not because of a popular groundswell to remove him and not because of the magnitude of the wrongs he’s committed — but because conditions in late 20th century America has made it possible for a small group of people who hate Bill Clinton and hate his policies to very cleverly and very doggedly exploit the institutions of freedom that we hold dear and almost succeed in undoing him.
If you had asked me one year ago if people like this with such obvious political motives could use our courts, play the media and tantalize the legislative branch to achieve their ends of bringing down the President, I would have said “not a chance — that doesn’t happen in America.”

It seems we have lost the ability to forcefully advocate for our position without trying to criminalize or at least dishonor our adversaries — often over matters having nothing to do with the public trust. And it is hurting the country; it is marginalizing and polarizing the Congress.”

    11. jason says:

      How things change…

“But, Senator, if there’s no way that this is going to turn around, if the votes aren’t there, why is your party dragging this thing out?…Why go through all this business about witnesses? Why not just get it done?…But if you have witnesses, it’s going to add months to this thing and tie up the Senate, isn’t it?”

New Gallup poll on impeachment show 51% for not convict/keep and 46% to convict/remove. Its not getting a lot of attention yet, since it contradicts the CNN shame poll.

Gallup has Trump at 44%, which is one of his higher ratings in Gallup. His highest in Gallup was 46%.

“Indeed that’s correct, not because manager Schiff said it, but because the Constitution requires it,” Sekulow added. “Mr. Manager Nadler said that the effort to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for refusing to comply with various subpoenas was ‘politically motivated,’ and Speaker Pelosi called the Holder matter ‘little more than a witch hunt.'”

    50. SanDiegoCitizen says:

“SurveyUSA interviewed 5,000 adults nationwide 01/14/20 through 01/16/20, immediately following the Democratic Party candidate debate 01/14/20 in Iowa. Of the adults, 4,069 are registered to vote and were asked the substantive questions in this survey. The research was conducted online.”

“In 5 SurveyUSA time-series tracking polls going back to August 2019, Sanders has polled at 50% or better in 4 of the 5. Pre-heart-attack, post-heart-attack, Sanders has never led by fewer than 5 percentage points. In those same 5 tracking polls, Biden has polled at or above 50% in 4 of 5 and has never led by fewer than 7 points, which is where he stands today. Sanders is not implicated in Ukraine soap opera consuming the Senate, though Sanders must sit and listen to it; Biden is implicated in soap opera, though he is free to keep campaigning. Warren has never polled higher than 49% in 5 polls, which is where, at 49%, Bloomberg sits today, 6 weeks until Super Tuesday, when the fortune Bloomberg has sunk into TV advertising may pay its first delegates dividend.”

      Cannot Remember 2%

!0% identified as gay, which is a higher percentage than in an average poll.

Anyone know who was the R who caved and voted with the D’s on the amount of time for a response to motions? It was tabled with a 52-48 vote instead of 53-47

    62. lisab says:

In the final week of 2018, Michael Bloomberg — the former mayor of New York, a Republican turned Democrat, and a possible future presidential candidate — went on television to issue a remarkable challenge to fellow politicians: He would insist that every candidate in 2020 lay out a comprehensive plan to combat climate change.

This announcement was remarkable if only for the fact that not a single candidate in 2016 had seriously addressed the issue — not even Jill Stein, the candidate running on the Green Party ticket, the very name of which is derived from the issue at hand.

This was hardly the only mystery about Jill Stein and her 2016 run. There are many unanswered questions. Why did she run for president in the first place? She had only received a third of one percent of the vote when she had run in 2012. Based on that dismal record, who stepped forward to fund her? And why did she seem so close to the Russians throughout the campaign, at times filming campaign spots in front of the Kremlin? And why were her comments — and those of Stein’s running mate — far more vicious about Hillary Clinton than they were about Donald Trump?

Finally, as marginal a figure as she was throughout the campaign, could she have nonetheless affected the outcome?
That question is pivotal because, if Stein in any way helped Trump into the White House — wittingly or unwittingly — that would mean that the Green Party helped turn the country over to a climate-denying administration as hostile to the environment as any in modern history.

“The attorneys general of 21 states have come forward with a blistering rebuke of the impeachment of President Trump, asserting that it “establishes a dangerous historical precedent.”

The Republican attorneys general, in a letter submitted to the Senate Wednesday morning and obtained by Fox News, urged the chamber conducting Trump’s trial to “reject” the impeachment articles.

“If not expressly repudiated by the Senate, the theories animating both Articles will set a precedent that is entirely contrary to the Framers’ design and ruinous to the most important governmental structure protections contained in our Constitution: the separation of powers,” they wrote.

The letter accuses House Democrats of impeaching Trump as a politically motivated response to the 2016 election and warned that it poses a threat to the 2020 election as well.

“Even an unsuccessful effort to impeach the President undermines the integrity of the 2020 presidential election because it weaponizes a process that should only be initiated in exceedingly rare circumstances and should never be used for partisan purposes,” the letter continued.

The media is quoting a Reuters poll to show the Americans supports the calling of witnesses in the Senate trial. They are ignoring the other parts of the poll which show the majority of Americans do not support the removal of Trump from office:

“Washington, DC, January 22, 2020 — With the impeachment trial of President Trump underway, Americans’ opinions on the matter remain steadfast, with 44% saying that Trump should be removed from office, 31% saying the charges against the president should be dismissed, and 15% who say the president should be censured by the Senate, but not removed from office. A majority of Americans believe Trump is guilty of abusing the office of the president (55%) and obstructing Congress (52%). Four in five Republican registered voters believe he is not guilty of either charge (79% each), while Democratic registered voters report they believe he is guilty ( 89% and 88% respectively). While a majority of Americans report that the impeachment has had no impact on their support of President Trump (54%), Republican registered voters have doubled down with 51% reporting that it has made them more supportive of President Trump.”

    163. SanDiegoCitizen says:

      173. Romney has actually been critical of the Democrats. He will not vote to remove.

“Sen. Mitt Romney brushed off Democrats for complaining about the Senate’s decision to follow trial rules similar to those used during President Bill Clinton’s impeachment.

Romney, 72, the junior senator for Utah and 2012 Republican presidential nominee, has been one of the few Senate Republicans to question President Trump’s behavior in the events that led to impeachment, but he claimed that Democrats have taken their protests too far. While speaking to CNN on Monday, the Utah senator criticized his Democratic colleagues for opposing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s version of the impeachment trial rules that were used during Clinton’s impeachment.

“Well, the changes [in the trial rules] are pretty modest and I don’t think are significant in any dramatic way. So for instance, whether something is going to be taking 12 hours per day or eight hours per day, it’s still going to be covered in the news,” Romney said. “And what’s officially going into evidence doesn’t make a big difference because the senators are, of course, free to look at all the information they have that comes from the House.”

He added, “I think the Democrats make a mistake when they cry outrage time and time again. If everything is an outrage, then nothing is an outrage.””

    164. NYCmike says:

“In 2017, former governor of Illinois Bruce Rauner (R) signed the “Automatic Voter Registration” bill into law, requiring eligible Illinois citizens to be automatically registered to vote when they apply for or renew a driver’s license or ID. Critics say making it easier for people to register to vote could lead to voter fraud from non-citizens.”

      194. Hope your right. Would like to see Klobucher over-perform and get over 15% of the vote; and Warren under-perform and get below 15% of the vote.

Bill Kristol is not a socialist”

-Says the guy who called President Trump “a liberal Democrat”……

Argue with Trump. He was the one who said he identified with Democrats, thought Dems were better on economic policy, supported universal health care paid by the government, declared he was “very pro-choice” and supported Planned Parenthood and was ok with partial birth abortion. He was the one who funded Harry Reid, Andrew Cuomo, Kamala Harris, Terry McCauliffe, Kirsten Gillibrand, and other Dems.

All that would justify the “liberal Dem” label I used when Trump ran for President, wouldn’t it?

But if you don’t agree, take it up with him.

    184. jason says:

Not me. I hope Klobuchar bombs.

I want Trump’s opponent to be Sanders or Warren, who have already been defined as kooky leftists.

Klobuchar is a flaming liberal, but since she is relatively unknown the MSM could transform her into a moderate.

    185. John says:

Is this true…Carter Page will be the honorary guest of the president for his State of the Union address?

    186. Skippy says:

Klobuchar is gaining traction in the rural counties in Iowa. If you look at the Rural America Iowa poll you will see Klobuchar is at 29% among rural voters. Why is this significant? Because whomever is able to reach viability among all those Rural voting precincts always does better than conventional wisdom on IA Caucus night. Klobuchar will do better in precinct delegate count vs raw total count.

Edwards in 2004 received 31% of total precinct delegates by owning the rural center/south IA precincts.

Once Klobuchar over performs vs CW on Feb 3rd she will become the 4th wheel in this race with Biden/Sanders/Bloomberg.

What’s going on: House managers are putting on a ridiculously compelling case, far beyond a reasonable doubt which is the criminal not impeachment standard. Trump attys respond with noise. R senators pretend they’ve heard nothing wrong. Media needs to communicate that clearly

    191. jasonj says:

I don’t want Klobuchar as the nominee. But if she damages Biden by trying for the “moderate” vote, good.

Trump is doing well and winning back support with important swing voters: Independents (42% at least somewhat approve/52% at least somewhat disapprove), Hispanics (45% at least somewhat approve/55% at least somewhat disapprove) and women (44% at least somewhat approve/53% at least somewhat disapprove).”

Deep State’s War On Oppositional Journalism Continues To Escalate (in favor of the fake News on network television aka CNN, Fox, etc)

Journalist Glenn Greenwald has been charged by the Bolsonaro government in Brazil with the same prosecutorial angle used by the US to target WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Glenn Greenwald has spent the last three years being falsely smeared as a stooge of authoritarian governments while he was actually doing more damage to an authoritarian government than all of his critics combined. Public trust in oppressive institutions (like the oppressive institutions that empire loyalists have been protecting by smearing Greenwald as a Kremlin agent and a Putin puppet) can be severely weakened by the exposure of their dark underbellies to the light of truth.
The imperialists know this, and they are determined not to allow it to continue. Hence their persecution of Assange, and hence their persecution of Greenwald.

No, Jones will absolutely vote to convict. He knows he is toast either way. Since he is gone anyway he has to stay in good standing with his Democratic pals during his post senate career.

At this point, I couldn’t care less what Jones does. Manchin will vote to acquit. Trump is widely popular in WV. He carried the state by 42 points for crying out loud. Voting to remove Trump is a political bridge too far for this fake.

Sine a could go either way, but probably the pressure from Democrats is too much and she is a yes.

    221. jason says:

“The House made a decision that they didn’t want to slow things down by having to go through the courts,” Murkowski told CNN. “And yet now they’re basically saying you guys gotta go through the courts. We didn’t, but we need you to.”

    226. jason says:

Et tu, NYT? They actually published this opinion piece today…

“The way things look, President Trump will almost certainly not be removed from office. The precedents set by the articles of impeachment, however, will endure far longer. And regrettably, the House of Representatives has transformed presidential impeachment from a constitutional parachute — an emergency measure to save the Republic in free-fall — into a parliamentary vote of “no confidence.”

The House seeks ” Mr. Trump because he acted “for his personal political benefit rather than for a legitimate policy purpose.” Mr. Trump’s lawyers responded, “elected officials almost always consider the effect that their conduct might have on the next election.” The president’s lawyers are right. And that behavior does not amount to an abuse of power.

    230. jason says:

The R senators on the “fence” have an out here.

Obama worried Sanders is too far left?

You can’t make this sh-t up.

“Obama has told people in private that Sanders is both temperamentally and politically unfit to beat Trump in the 2020 general election, these people say. Among his concerns are Sanders’ strident form of politics and confrontational manners where he was known not to seek compromise during his long years in the US senate. Meanwhile, Obama is said to worry that Sanders’ far-left policies, which include massive tax increases, free college tuition and massive student debt forgiveness, would alienate even traditional Democratic voters.

    237. jason says:

Left wing rags now claiming Dems want to hear from Mulvaney more than Bolton.

That makes sense since it doesn’t seem like Bolton was in the inner loop of Ukraine policy, nobody has testified that Bolton ordered them to do anything on behalf of the President. So at most Bolton could say, well, I heard from so and so that the aid was withheld for this or that reason, but again it is not first hand knowledge.

On the other hand, I view Mulvaney as a less risky witness. I always viewed Bolton as a loose cannon and I never wanted him in the administration. I think he is a smart guy, and I agree with many of his views, but I just think he is too impulsive.

I very much doubt Mulvaney will incriminate Trump, and I very much doubt executive privilege won’t be invoked, the guy is acting chief of staff, of course his conversations with Trump have to be protected.

That could be problematic for the Dems.

    243. jason says:

But of course in the end the vast majority will end up voting for the Dem.

Still, vast majority might not be enough.

    244. jason says:

Pass the popcorn. Sit back and enjoy the show.

    249. Phil says:

      otherwise will vote green

    284. lisab says:

Yeah bruh, I attack based on yalls support of your hero. Yall respond by talking about gulags, reeducation, and living in basements. Rich! Keep it up.

Oh and let’s get back on topic.. Please proceed. Please proceed with justifying the destruction of the Constitution, tell us how abuse of power is not enough for removal, tell us tell us tell us! LOL

    287. Proud Obamacon says:

OK LISA I will play along. Which Democrat would you vote for over your Orange sex toy?

I already know the real answer, but let’s play. Same question for Big Joe.

    288. Phil says:

“Scroll” back since Trump’s election three years ago. Want to see some “insults”? Robert De Niro says hello. LOL

    289. lisab says:

Which Democrat would you vote for

      yang for sure
      maybe buttigieg
      maybe gabbard

(i have not heard them speak in long interviews)

i will probably vote third party if
      or klobachar

      is the nominee

i will vote for trump against any warren ticket

    290. Proud Obamacon says:

So Phil admits I’m right, and then makes up another lie to try to save face in front of his buddies. Rich!

No, actually it was one of Bernie’s aides on tape.

Another Stalinist turd just like you.

    293. lisab says:

and i don’t know about sanders

i supported him against hillary of course in 2016

      head and shoulders above biden

    294. Proud Obamacon says:

Lisa, sure whatever you say. Why did you leave out Sanders? You feeling the bern? LOL

Didn’t know you approved of UBI. That’s kinda out there even on my side. But yeah, you’re just playing. It’s all good.

    295. jason says:

Funny the Stalinist turd was never concerned with the “Constitution” when Obama shredded it for 8 years.

    296. lisab says:

      biden is just icky

    297. Proud Obamacon says:

More made up chit from Jason, same old song…

Lisa, Sanders and PGrabber are complete opposites aside from being populists. There is no dilemma, you’re with Bernie or with the PGrabber.

    298. Phil says:

Give it up, man. You’re getting owned today.

Get back to the TV and your Schiff show. Democrats desperately need all the help with the TV ratings they can get. LOL

    299. Proud Obamacon says:

“Give it up, man. You’re getting owned today.”

      LOL .. oh the irony

    300. lisab says:

i actually heard yang speak in a give and take interview about 6 months ago

he has two things i like

      a.) he is very intelligent

b.) he is not out for “revenge”

he has a different view of how the country should be run, but he is not ANGRY and out to hurt anyone

i will vote for him if i can, i.e. if he hasn’t dropped out

    301. NYCmike says:

      “biden is just icky”

-That’s what voters thought about Aaron Burr back in 1807.

    302. lisab says:

2016 bernie i would have voted for

i have not decided about bernie this time.

if it is angry-bernie in 2020, i’ll vote third party.

    303. lisab says:

-That’s what voters thought about Aaron Burr back in 1807.

well he should not of gone around sniffing young girls

    305. lisab says:

frankly it is not sanders’ character that worries me

      as much as yours.

in 2016 sanders was the “reasonable man”.

now he has supporters like you talking about gulags

“if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait”

    306. NYCmike says:

P.O. will vote for the person who will promise the most “free stuff”.

    308. NYCmike says:

Why do you support making it harder for individuals to make a living and work for whom, when, and where they want to??

I don’t. Yall stupid as hell.

    310. dblaikie says:

I am surprised that trolls have not come on this site sooner in this impeachment nonsense. ProudO has always been a bit of a masochist so it makes perfect sense that he has come on the last day of this dem debacle and claimed that Schiff and company have been persuasive.

      ABC News/Washington Post
      Approve 47%
      Disapprove 50%

      Approve 49%
      Disapprove 49%

One result of the impeachment fiasco is Trump is pulling some of the highest approval numbers of his presidency. Same happened with Clinton when he was impeached.

    312. SanDiegoCitizen says:

      325. Believe it would be very difficult for the trolls to come back and preach that “Trump is doomed” when the polls are now showing that the presidential race is competitive, and a lot of election prediction sites now claim that Trump will be re-elected. The idea that the Democrats will unite behind an electable candidate “that can win” turned out to be a fantasy.

    313. NYCmike says:

“I don’t. Yall stupid as hell.”

      -No, you do.

You and the politicians you support are placing obstacles in the way of individuals looking to have a flexible work environment.

Why do you support such policies?

    314. Proud Obamacon says:

The president celebrated a whole host of pro-life activism, not just fighting abortion.

“You stand for life each and every day. You provide housing, education, jobs, and medical care to the women that you serve. You find loving families for children in need of a forever home. You host baby showers for expecting moms. You just make it your life’s mission to help spread God’s grace,” Trump declared.

“And to all of the moms here today, we celebrate you and we declare that mothers are heroes,” he added.

“Your strength, devotion, and drive is what powers our nation and because of you our country has been blessed with amazing souls who have changed the course of human history.””

You know your going to get a excellent cup of coffee, and the staff is always very friendly and professional. The virtue signaling can cause a chuckle, but probably a good business practice for a company that has a heavily urban clientele. Adding an almond and soy creamer option makes sense, and making it a “save the planet” moment probably is a good PR stunt.

    331. NYCmike says:

First time I went into a Starbucks, I said “Let me get a regular coffee, please, black.”

So the Democrats are looking at running on a socialist economic platform, when 56% of the voters approve of Trump’s handling of the economy? Its sort of the political equivalent to Pickett’s Charge.

    391. jason says:

I am jealous Walt will get to see the Supernova.

And he won’t even care, having already seen the one when Jesus was born.

    392. Cash Cow TM says:

Anybody except the Cow watching the Senate impeachment goings on now?

Trump defense people making swiss cheese out of the impeachment charges….

    393. Cash Cow TM says:

So just Scooterboy and Cow taking in the impeachment stuff today…

    394. jason says:

Ok, so even morons come up with a pearl of wisdom.

I am forced to finally agree with Rand Paul on something.

It’s ok, I will get over it.

“36 hours of ad hominem attacks by Schiff et al can’t erase the irony that the Democrats are doing exactly what they accuse @realDonaldTrump of doing—abusing government to go after their political rival”

    395. ssq says:

      “ad hominem”?

I wish Rand Paul would stop making homosexual references.

    396. Scooterboy says:

Dear Lord…..this is a disaster for the Democrats.

    397. jason says:

Scooter is actually on assignment. As the most junior A-hole to attend the last meeting, he is charged with presenting the impeachment report to the next A-hole gathering.

Note to Scooter. A-holes get bored quickly.

    398. Scooterboy says:

I’m not presenting anything at the next meeting unless I’m guaranteed a seat at ALL future A-hole meetings. Parking cars….. and now having to sit through this? I’m done doing your DIRTY A-hole work for you !!!!

    399. Tina says:

They are doing a great job explaining I why the subpoenas were not valid.

      Destroying scheme team.

    400. jason says:

Sorry Scooter, but you knew what you were getting into as an A-hole.

As far as a seat, I guess you can have MD’s old seat. We don’t have funds to re-upholster, so you will have to live with the vodka stains and the other stains (directly related to vodka too).

    401. jason says:

I am not crazy about the subpoenas not valid argument, because the Dems can say, ok now let’s have new subpoenas.

I think Ted Cruz was right when he said he wants the defense to focus on the substance, not the process.

I think everyone understands the process was flawed, unfair and partisan.

At the end of the day the facts are.

      1. Nowhere in the conversation with Zelensky did Trump offer any quid pro quo or pressure Zelensky to do anything.

      2. Zelensky denies he was pressured in any way.

      3. The aid was provided, the WH meeting happened, no investigation was even announced, no investigation was started.

      4. Nobody has first hand information that Trump ordered anybody to do anything illegal, even unethical. The only direct contact alleged was Sondland with Trump, and in that conversation Trump made no demand of Ukraine.

      5. Aid can be withheld for many reasons and often is. As long as it was provided within its allotted deadline, the administration could delay it if they so wished.

      5. If military aid to Ukraine was so essential to our national security, why did Obama not provide it? Why did 4 of the House managers vote against it?

So the whole case is based on speculation and innuendo. The House witnesses disagreed with Trump’s foreign policy, none of them could point to any illegality, let alone an impeachable offense.

    402. Tina says:

They are done and Philbin derailed scheme team.

They were only allotted 3 hours today.

Process was a tiny component, but. It’s an issue because Scheme Team cites it in #2, the “obstruction of congress.”

    403. Tina says:

“Impeachment shouldn’t be a shell game.”

Devastating final line from Pat Cipollone.

    404. Tina says:

And process is not the main issue, but an issue because Schiffty lied about witness tampering.

They pointed out that Schiffty is a fact witness.

Rinos May be triggered, if there are calls for Schiffty to be a witness.

    405. Tina says:

They did an effective demonstration bullet by bullet in 2 hours against Scheme Team.

Probably can stop and call for dismissal.

      (But rinos got to Rino)

    406. Tina says:

Watch Philbins presentation. He just destroys Soviet Schiffty.

    407. Tina says:

So, dream team must have hit their target.

Cn and Toobin is complaining about all the “white people” on Trumps Counsel.

    408. jason says:

I don’t believe they should dismiss.

I think they should listen to the presentations, ask the questions, then vote on no witnesses or documents and vote to acquit.

    409. John says:

My humble opinion…this was directed at the GOP Senate especially the four or five Senators and the vote for witnesses (and to hold the line).
The Trump defense did an excellent presentation in regard to the issue of witnesses.
Prediction…look for another 53-47 vote against witnesses and things to wrap up with an acquittal by the end of next week in time for the State of the Union address.

    410. jason says:

Dang, I agreed with Rand Paul and now I agree with AOC.

      This is a rough day.

AOC tells IA voters “not to play it safe” when it comes to picking a nominee.

      I agree. Sue me.

    411. jason says:

Prediction…look for another 53-47 vote against witnesses and things to wrap up with an acquittal by the end of next week in time for the State of the Union address.”

      I hope you are right.

    412. John says:

      Dream time table…
      Monday…Trump’s defense wraps things up
      Tuesday…Q & A
      Wednesday…Q & A then a vote against witnesses
      Thursday…vote to acquit Trump
Thursday night…Trump has huge rally in Iowa to mock the House Democrats
Sunday before Super Bowl…Trump has second opportunity to mock House Democrats in interview with Sean Hannity of Fox before 100 million viewers
Tuesday (Feb. 4)…Trump has third opportunity to mock House Democrats in State of the Union

    413. Phil says:

Yeah, I’m beginning to believe no witnesses and an early acquittal something I would not have predicted three days ago. I base this on the fact Collins, Murkowski etc have watched the polls show that support for removal has stagnated among the public, nobody is watching the trial with ratings dropping ten percent a day, and mostly, the House managers have pissed them off with Nadler’s stupid assertion that no witnesses and an acquittal would mean the Senate is part of “the coverup”. I also don’t think they liked Schipp’s using what they know is a lie that they were threatened by the President’s inner circle.

    414. jason says:

I think Trump, after acquittal, should ignore impeachment.

    415. jason says:

Trump should say I am moving on, let the Dems keep harping on it.

    416. Tina says:

      Jonathan Turley

Jeff Toobin just said that the White House was less than “spellbinding.” However, the predictions just before the argument was that it would going to be nothing but distractions and attacks. The White House did very well. The tenor was right and the content was highly substantive

    417. Tina says:

There were no demonstrators outside congress today over impeachment.

      Jebots crushed.

    418. Tina says:

      Ig Atkinson is crooked

      Julie Kelly
Sekulow talking about unlawful FISAs against Carter Page. He’s referencing NSD—National Security Division—which handled the FISAs.

The senior counsel for NSD during each FISA app?

Michael Atkinson, the IC IG: The only transcript Schiff won’t release:

    419. jason says:

Bernie actually the favorite to win the nomination on Predictit.

    420. Phil says:

It is unbelievable to me as well, Jason, but man, would that be absolutely great for Trump. Probably too good to be true.

    421. jason says:

Well, it increases the chance the Dem establishment will have to use extraordinary measures to block him, and that will alienate his supporters.

      One can always hope.

    422. jason says:

Short and to the point…Ernst about Schiff

He just completely made a bunch of bullcrap up.”
      — Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa

    423. jason says:

Remember when Amoral Scumbag wanted to stop Trump at the convention?

      Fortunately it didn’t happen.

But the Dems might have to do it to keep an 80 year old Bolshevik from being nominated.

    424. Skippy says:

      DMR endorses a candidate tonight.

I’m guessing it’s between Buttigieg and Klobuchar.

    425. janz says:

From a BPR Business & Politics observation of this morning’s impeachment hearings put on by the defense team:

“In a visual difference from the first days of the trial which saw hours of speeches by Democrats, prompting lawmakers to walk around, chat, and even take on crossword puzzles to stay awake, the chamber on Saturday was full, according to NBC News which reported that “nearly every Democratic senator was taking notes throughout.”

      Substance over drama, maybe?

    426. Sheeple, Jr. says:

Romney “screws the pooch” after today’s impeachment session. A skunk at the party!

      · 1h
Just in – @MittRomney: “I think it’s very likely I’ll be in favor of witnesses, but I haven’t made a decision finally yet and I won’t until both side’s opening arguments are done.”

    427. Sheeple, Jr. says:

Add: Manchin(D-WV) said after today’s session he favors witnesses since the President’s defense kept saying that their were no first hand witnesses “so let’s have some”.

Yesterday, I was confident that the impeachment would be over next week.Today, even with the cogent presentation by Trump’s team, I am not so certain.

Romney is an unprincipled, media whore scumbag.

      Manchin is a flaming liberal.

    430. Phil says:

Ok, I guess the squishes are determined to have witnesses. For whatever reason, the squishes can’t get enough of this circus.

      I can’t stand Romney.

    431. Phil says:

They want witnesses? Ok, then. Bring on Hunter and the whistleblower. Enough playing around.

Did I say how much I despise Romney?
