    Biden Dominates Trump in HI

We do not get polls from Hawaii too often so might as well take advantage of one we received today from Civil Beat and Hawaii News Now that shows Joe Biden should have no problem holding the birthplace of Barack Obama.

PRESIDENT – HAWAII (Civil Beat/Hawaii News Now)
    Joe Biden (D) 56%
    Donald Trump (R-inc) 29%

This poll was done July 27-30 among 975 registered voters.

Jorgensen is not getting 4% anywhere, you read it here first. Certainly not in PA or OH or NC

Gary Johnson, a much better known candidate got 2.3% in PA, 3% in OH, and 2.7% in NC.

    15. Stonewall DW says:

Looking at the last ten polls of PA, including all pollsters, five out of the ten show PA within a 3 point race. The same cannot be said of MI or WI.

This supports what I have been saying all along that while Trump should campaign in all three of these states, PA is the one that provides the easiest and best path to re-election.

Assuming Trump can hold OH, IA, GA, AZ, FL and NC, that gets him to 260.

Then getting PA pushes the total to 280, outside the range of faithless electors and other issues.

Get PA, and it doesn’t matter if WI, MI, NH, and NV fall short.

I really don’t think this election has anything to do with dumb stuff biden says or whatever law and order slogan trump can do.

It just comes down to getting a stimulus plan done for mainstreet voters (as opposed to just more QE) because the unemployment benefits are going off a cliff, the jobs market is not rebounding, and spending will tank.

It’s just another deflation election alla 1929 and 2008.

Had this primary been held in 2018, I think Kobach would have won. The populist fervor was still quite strong then. It doesn’t feel nearly as strong now and the usual suspects who lined up behind Kobach weren’t able to help him.

    42. jason says:

Another issue suburban voters might consider more important than Trump’s tweets.

“Prepare to be shocked. Most Americans want to maintain local control over the communities they live in. Recently the Trump administration ended an Obama-Biden era regulation called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing. This regulation withheld federal grants from communities that did not agree to push low-income housing into neighborhoods to promote diversity.

When the Trump administration announced the move, woke Twitter considered it out of touch. They assumed suburban families would be eager to give up local control of their communities on everything from zoning to drawing school districts. Under the AFFH, all of this would be subject to the federal bureaucracy. HUD would also be able to control the placement of transportation and business districts.

The Biden housing proposal goes even further to mandate compliance by withholding highway repair dollars from communities that refuse to obey. While many suburbs could forego grants, the road repair funds will be much more difficult to function without.

According to a new Rasmussen poll, 83% of likely voters say the federal government should not play a role in deciding where people can live. Under the AFFH rule, Biden has vowed to distribute low-income housing in a way that will force people to relocate. Necessarily, people requiring reduced rent will need to go where the housing is located.

The guise for the policy is to promote diversity. According to Stanely Kurtz, appearing on “Life, Liberty, and Levin,” this is a pure pretext. As my colleague Jeff reported after the show:

Kurtz, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, told Levin that former President Obama and the progressive wing of the Democratic Party view suburbs as fundamentally unjust communities that prevent taxation from flowing into the urban cities they surround. This echoes what many have observed about progressive taxation policies—that they seek to redistribute wealth from people who have fled America’s cities for a better quality of life.

Unfortunately for Joe Biden and the radical left, 65% of Americans say diversifying neighborhoods is not their job. Even a majority of Democrats, at 56%, take this position.”

    43. Phil says:

Forced diversification of the suburbs plus all the riots and looting aren’t exactly winners that play with suburbanites.

      Seems obvious to me.

      …..but what do I know.

Trump should consider initiating in a PR campaign that encourages the use of the vaccines that are likely to be approved by the end of the year. Not only would it be the proper thing to do, but it would probably help his re-election chances. A vaccine is essentially hope and optimism for a return to normal. That kind of message is never a bad one to make.

Just as importantly, Trump’s seal of approval through PSA’s might be able to move the needle with the segment of his core support who are either vaccine-skeptical or anti-vaxxers. Even convincing a small portion of them to participate would be a great service to the country.

“If he [Trump] can’t figure out the difference between an elephant and a lion, I don’t know what the hell he is talking about. ‘Cause you watch that–look, come on, man, I-I-I-I know you are trying to goad me, but, I mean uh, I’m so forward to looking to have an opportunity to sit with the
president or stand with the president in debates.
They’ll give me plenty of time–and by the way as I joked with him, you know…it…I-I shouldn’t say it…I am gonna say something I don’t uh–I-I probably shouldn’t say. Anyway, I am uh, [looks down nervously] I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental fillne–[Blinks hard]–my
physical as well as my mental [still with eyes shut] fillne–FITness [opens eyes]”

This is bad at so many levels. First when Andropov’s thoughts get lost, he uses a ‘safe’ technique of either pretending to interrupt himself, or claim he was going to say something that he shouldn’t say, when really he cannot remember what he was going to say.

“I’m so forward to looking…” illustrates the many times his sentence structure gets scrambled on the trip from his brain to his mouth.

And looking down nervously is a defense mechanism against the lost train of thought, so as to disguise the “lost” look on his face.

And what a horrible moment for a full meltdown on the closer, “I am very willing to let the American public judge my physical and mental fillne–my
physical as well as my mental fillne–FITness.”

The media went nuts when Dan Quayle didn’t immediately object to the spelling ‘potatoe’ but they will give this a pass.

In the past we’ve always been able to arrive at the Washington consensus no matter what. For example even though Obama in 2016, we were able to achieve fiscal austerity with the tea party movement within two years.

BUT there is a good chance that the dems open the flood gates and just start buying elections since about half the country isn’t working anyways. Nancy Pelosi’s legislative aide, Ivanna Voronovych, is from Ukraine and is connected to the Ukrainian Embassy, the Ukrainian military, the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian party life. Pelosi and Schiff are also both connected to a Ukrainian arms dealer.

We also know that Ukraine was involved in helping the Clinton campaign fabricate evidence against Paul Manafort to smear the Trump campaign. We also know that the firm the DNC used to “inspect” the DNC email server, Crowdstrike, is funded by anti-Russian Ukrainian Oligarchs and run by a man who used to work for Mueller at the FBI! – You can already see Cruz positioning himself for the post-Trump era. He’s reverting back to his “send a message” style.

Cases in most of the state are actually coming down. I know it doesn’t seem that way. However, if you really look at the places in Tx where it is most rampant it is in the counties on the border plus the southern Texas metropolitan San Antonio area. Almost half the state fatalities today were in Hidalgo (45) and Cameron (45) counties. Now, part of the high fatality rate today in those counties was backlog from the last ten days so today looks worse than it is. However, in South Texas it’s just going to have to burn itself out much like it did in NY.

will more or less women support trump compared to 2016?

i think trump will do better with all three groups. i knew women who were willing to crawl over broken glass on fire to vote for hillary as the first woman president

i am not sure many people would cross the street to vote for biden.

Robbie Fraudster still thinks the MSM is unbiased, but many others are waking up.

“The poll noted an increase in the percentage of Americans who see too much bias in ostensibly objective reporting as a “major problem.” According to the poll, 73 percent of Americans share that belief, up from 65 percent in 2017.

Meanwhile, a stunning 84 percent of Americans agree that “the media is to blame for political division in this country,” though the same percentage also believe the media “can serve as a healing force.”

In perhaps the most stunning findings, almost 80 percent of Americans say news organizations they don’t trust are “trying to persuade people to adopt a certain viewpoint” while just 12 percent say media outlets are trying to report “accurately and fairly but are unable to do so.” Nearly three-quarters of those polled (74 percent) are worried that the owners of media companies are “influencing coverage.”

More than half of Americans polled (54 percent) say they believe reporters are “misrepresenting the facts” and another 28 percent believe reporters are “making [facts] up entirely.” More than three-quarters (78 percent) of Americans believe “misinformation” that is shared on social media is “the leading problem with news today.”

      – Both campaigns have money to burn and I suspect the Biden campaign doesn’t want a repeat of 2016 when Black turnout wasn’t as high in the Philly area as the Hillary campaign hoped.

Biden running a lot of ads in my area where he is going to be decimated.

There are Trump signs everywhere, on houses, barns, fields, businesses.. just like in 2016.

Philly wasn’t Hillary’s problem. She got the same margins Obama did, almost half a million votes.

It was not even in the Phila burbs, she did well there too, in some places even better than Obama.

But the margins in the smaller counties, and there are a lot of them, were horrific for her. Places like Erie Co. that went for Obama by 20k votes went to Trump.

My county, York, went for Romney by 40k votes. For Trump, 60k votes.

Those kind of margins ate into Hillary’s 500k lead out of Philly in a big hurry.

Voter file by party for Maricopa County remains nearly R+5, or a D/R/I-O split of 30.89/35.24/35.65.

It looks like we’ll finish today with about 54,000 new cases. That’s basically the same as yesterday. Interestingly enough, last Tuesday and Wednesday were essentially the same at 65,000 new cases. So these last two days saw a drop of 22,000 new cases compared to last week and we accomplished that with Texas actually seeing increases each of the last two days versus the same two days last week.
