Around here, the biggest most vocal group that detest Trump are otherwise sensible college educated women. It is not necessarily over policy. It is because Trump is a jerk…and his overall demeanor.

They will vote Biden. HATE Trump!

These women have no clue about Biden, his diminished mental capabilities, or his policy proposals. Most do not follow politics real close –only watch TV news…no digging deeper into things. They do not see that voting D for prez validates BLM, validates an extreme left lurch in governance, Biden prep will Hurt them financially.

Usually, WOMEN are far better in looking down the road and seeing the long tern picture.

The GOOD thing is Trump will win WV handily without their support.

The fact that the Broncos are just not good anymore probably has more to do with jason’s position than he admits.”

LOL, Bitter is still making sh-t up.

This theory is even stupider than his last theory, that “I wanted to be praised for my stance”.

The Broncos have had many bad years over the last 30 years, and I never lost interest in football.

In fact, I used to watch just about any game available, and have been commenting on Thursday night and Monday night games here for years.

My decision not to support the NFL has nothing to do with the Broncos. It has everything to do about politicizing the game and having millionaire spoiled self entitled morons who disrespect their flag and country and forget their fame and wealth is derived from the fans of the game who they think they are free to insult and lecture about “race relations”.

The NFL, the owners, the coaches, the players, the sports media can all GFTs, I have no interest in supporting their agenda. CNN is running ads showing BLM and saying “THIS IS BIGGER THAN FOOTBALL”.

Ok, let’s see how successful they will be with that business model

    5. jason says:

Sorry Walt, I don’t buy the theory that people are not aware what they are voting for, even in WV. I bet those women voting for Biden are perfectly OK with his agenda.

I know quite a few “college educated” women. Some are voting for Biden, like him or not, but it is because they do want his policies. They know his capacity is diminished and he is perverted, but they believe in the cause. They ARE voting on policy. They want socialism.

Some are voting for Trump, like him or not, because they do understand what each candidate represents.

The only person that is “indifferent” to socialism while pretending to be a conservative is Robbie fraud.

I would be hardest hit if Tebow ever kneeled at a football game.

I doubt that would ever happen.

    7. jason says:

Monmouth poll polled just 428 registered voters? Did Robert Cahaly of The Trafalgar Group say any state poll polling less than 1K is flawed?

    10. Sheeple,Jr. says:

Here are the just released Likely Voter polls for MN and WI brought to you by the Washington Post/ABC.(We all know that this pollster is accurate–sarc.) The MN Poll is ridiculous showing Biden +16. The WI poll is D+6 among Likely voters, but the PID is skewed at D+7. In 2016, the WI exit poll showed Party ID at D+1.

    11. jaichind says:

I think the ABC poll pattern seems to be the same as the other. White college vote and most likely White women college vote has dropped a lot for Trump. One can infer this because the White non-college women vote also fell a lot more than the White non-college men vote. So the core issue is White women voters.

It could be the hidden Trump vote but it could also be the “Trump failed to keep us safe during the COVID-19 crisis.” Main problem with the second narrative is that nationally Trump is behind Biden around the same around now as it was back in early March. This sort of implies the hidden Trump voter argument is stronger.

    12. Sheeple,Jr. says:

      #16- jai
You could be right, or, IMHO, discount any poll produced by the Washington Post/ABC. The MN Poll is way off. Trump would not campaign in MN if he was behind by double digits.
In 2016, the WP/ABC last National Poll had the race at Clinton 52% to Trump 38%.

    13. Hugh says:

      16. Give it up. There is not enough college women polled to get a credible sample. If you want to get a poll showing support for trump dropping for college women just weight your calls towards single college women. Give me the demographic narrative you want and I can figure out who to call to get it. These pollsters are frauds not dummies.

    14. PhilS says:

#16: Do you believe your own nonsense?

    15. Gordon Allen says:

In other words after the riots etc Biden is nearly 15 points stronger against Trump than Hillary was in actual votes in 2016? Of course that is so absurd not to worth discussing; but what perplexes me is why the Post/ ABC even publish such results when they’re so outlandish?? If they came up with a 5 point lead that would at least be within the range of polite discussion??

    16. Hugh says:

That poll is further proof that they’re getting desperate. The debates will be the tipping point. It is not really about who wins and who loses in the traditional sense. It will be about trumps opportunity to draw the distinctions between his accomplishments and Biden‘s. And his mental fitness versus Biden‘s. People don’t realize it yet but Biden using teleprompters for interviews he’s gonna come back to haunt him in a very Big way. Most idiots don’t even know about it yet but Trump will use it in the debate and force Biden to either lie or admit it. That would be devastating because it’s the absolute proof that he is not up for the job mentally.I do think that Biden will hold it together reasonably well in the sense that he will be trained to do nothing but speak in sound bites. So he will only appear to be moderately drunk and confused.

    17. Gordon Allen says:

Hugh:As good an explanation as any but still think something like 5 would be more convincing. Agree about debate but it’s high risk. If Biden was ahead significantly he’d pass on it I think. But probably thinks he can’t duck out now, but…?

    18. prineville says:

Biden will never appear on stage to debate trump. His “campaign” will develop some ridiculous idea as to why dementia joe has decided it is unsafe due to covid 19 to debate on stage with djt. In reality, they know biden cant trade jabs/stand/,etc for 2 hrs. For the “health” of all involved a “virtual” debate with dementia remaining in his basement or somewhere similar will be proposed. Except for a appearance at the democrat convention, have you seen dementia do any appearances in the evening as of late.? Answer…no. Hes physically worthless after lunchtime. Hes done. Hes barely hanging on. Within a few days expect his caretakers to publicly announce either no debates or propose a manner in which dementia can avoid the debate stage with trump.

    19. Hugh says:

      22. You are correct. However their goal is not to have reasonable people who are paying attention take this poll seriously. Their goal is to move the numbers on real clear politics and 538. 5% in Minnesota would not get the job done. What I find amazing is that so many people do not believe the polls. It’s also amazing that Fox News has an ability to constantly talk about the worst polls out there as if they’re credible. It is absolutely infuriating. It is why I no longer click on Fox links or watch any of the news shows. I do watch parts of FOXBusiness. Much better

    31. Stonewall DW says:

“Around here, the biggest most vocal group that detest Trump are otherwise sensible college educated women. It is not necessarily over policy. It is because Trump is a jerk”

Cow, I made that point yesterday. They are behaving just like the opponents of women’s right to vote said they would. No logic, no policy, no concern about the country, just an emotional reaction because the guy is a jerk.

Like I said yesterday, it’s like they get a toenail fungus and freak out, with ‘Cut it off, cut it off!! Just get rid of it…Amputate the toe, NO, quick the whole FOOT!!’

    32. Stonewall DW says:

ABC Wash Compost’s final poll from 2016 was that whopper 52/38 for Hillary, and 538 gives them an A+ rating, while Trafalgar gets a C-. You can’t make this stuff up.

    33. dblaikie says:

DW I agree 100 percent. Even Thomas Friedman, who hates Trump, says the Mideast deal was historic. Couple all this with the fact Biden’s dementia is getting harder to hide, and you have the Dems worst nightmare starting to look like a possibility— a GOP wave election.

    34. Waingro says:

The USC tracking poll has now tightened to Biden +7 at 50-43. Was Biden +9 and double digits very recently.

    35. Waingro says:

538 now has Trump within 7 points for the first time since May.

    36. Hugh says:

This election will be dem +2 or maybe +3. If you got forced during your busy day by your companys Chief Diversity Officer to a zoom meeting to hear about everything you have to change that you have been doing all your life and you are not a progressive what will you do? You can not complain to management so how do you get your revenge? You vote.

    37. Stonewall DW says:

But nothing moves the needle on 538’s forecast.

    38. dblaikie says:

Folks on this site know that I am skeptical of all polls and that includes Rasmussen. Frankly I have concerns when I compare their state polls with their national numbers because they don’t make sense to me. And frankly with the “shy” Trump vote and other factors polling is fishy this cycle.

However I must say I am impressed that Rasmussen doesn’t hide its voter model. Even though I think that +4 Dem is too high, still it is at least within the range of credible. And it always screens for likely voters which is, in my view, the first and fundamental step to get a poll that is accurate at all. And I am impressed by the size of their sample in the head to head match up. 2500 likely voters is credible to say the least.

So even though I am a cynic concerning polls I at least take the Trump/Biden head to head seriously with Rasmussen.

    39. Stonewall DW says:

The WashCompost MN ‘poll’ is so absurd at so many levels.

      1) Hillary won the state, which has been trending red, by only 1.5 points. Indiana had an 11 point shift away from Obama 2008 to 2012. But the circumstances there involved the historic nature of the 1st black president in 2008. But WashCompost is talking about 14.5 point shift compared to 2016 away from Trump. That’s nuts in and of itself. As I have shown before, states just don’t move that much when incumbents run for re-election.

      2) All of the anecdotal evidence is that MN has had enough and are moving toward Trump. The Dem Mayors, the signage where signs never used to go up, the bakery selling Trump cookies like crazy, reports we hear from people up there. All of that flies in the face of a 14.5 point shift away from Trump.

      3) Even the left leaning Morning Consult just yesterday said Biden was up by ‘only’ 4 points.

      4) Trump would not be going there for a Friday night event this week if he was losing the state. MN is second only to WI for the number of events scheduled, as shown on Trump’s web page.

      5) There is absolutely no reason why any polling would have such disparate results comparing WI and MN. The states were within 2 points of each other last time, and are fairly similar demographically. Large rural areas, college towns, and a couple of metropolis cities.

They should have been absolutely ashamed to put out such embarrassingly absurd numbers. But they don’t care. They have their A+ rating from 538 and that’s all that matters. They are shoving in our faces a tiny dose of the left-controlled ‘news’ that is our future.

    40. mnw says:

What does “USC tracking poll” mean, pls?

    41. Stonewall DW says:

University of Southern CA general election national tracking poll. It has been largely ignored here, because they have been showing Biden +15 nationally for weeks. I wasn’t going to say anything about its sudden drop to Biden +7, because I think its a trap. They could come out tomorrow and go right back to Biden +15

    42. mnw says:

Thx. Thought it might be that, or Univ of South Carolina, but… not familiar with that poll. USC also looks like “United States Code,” but I figured that couldn’t be it.

    43. Stonewall DW says:

      – I read the NIH has put the brakes on the resumption of the AstraZeneca trials here in the US. They want to know more about the unexplained illness last week. I find it a bit odd they would not accept the findings of the British authorities who allowed the trials to restart in Great Britain. Of course, NIH tried to scuttle convalescent plasma even though they knew it caused no harm.

Rather than watching Trump’s actual numbers, I am starting to realize that the numbers for the GOP as a whole, the generic ballot, individual senate races in battleground states, etc., these are the numbers to watch to see Trump’s fate.

The GOP and its candidates have tied themselves, more or less, to Trump, and its folly to suggest that voters are so nuanced that they want a Dem Potus and GOP senate. They just aren’t that sophisticated. They don’t even know that Biden’s mind is gone.

So I am heartened that Tillis, and others are in much better shape, that MN and MI senate races are in play, etc. This means Trump is doing well even if people are hesitant to say so because they don’t want to be shamed and have their car tires slashed.

And once more here are the facts behind the Shy Trump vote, not the drivel Silver puts out.

      1) The strongest base of Trump’s support is not getting polled. This is the rural base of support. They see the media, universities, polling, etc as all one big pile of corruption and they will have nothing to do with it.

      2) Most people are sick and tired of getting the scam calls warning about their SSN getting stolen, or their car insurance about to expire, and so they only answer the phone if they recognize the number.

      3) Only the most lonely people who always pick up the phone are getting polled. It takes 100 calls to reach just 1 of these. So these people do not represent the electorate.

      4) There is no way on earth that even if a suburban or urban Trump supporter picks up the phone that they will risk telling someone in the media about support for Trump. They will be undecided. We see this in the results where we keep getting national polls with 10 to 17% undecided as though no one has heard of Joe Biden or Donald Trump 7 weeks before the election.

      5) Election night coverage in 2016, after it was all over, the analysts openly admitted that the Trump vote was sitting there, hiding in plain sight. So how do we arrive just four years later, and the media now says these voters no longer exist? All of the constant stream of anecdotal evidence suggests that not only do they still exist, there are more of them than 4 years ago.

I don’t think it can be overstated just how awful Redfield’s comments about mask were.

Essentially, he kneecapped the idea of ever getting a vaccine. Why get a “risky” vaccine if I can just wear a mask? Why get the flu shot this Fall if all I need to do is wear a mask?

I suspect he wanted to encourage mask use as strongly as he could, but words have consequences and his comments will hurt the use of vaccines. This is why it is so important for people like Redfield or Fauci or Trump to make sure every word they speak on this issue is vetted and fact checked.

Maybe worst of all, Redfield unknowingly gave aid and comfort to the anti-vax movement. Now, all of those circus clowns will run around saying “but the CDC head said masks are better than vaccines”.

Trump should tell him to correct what he said and then prohibit him from speaking again.

2004: Tennessee – 11 points. NE liberal John Kerry instead of Al Gore (TN)

Two very explainable reasons for a wide disparity, while most other states shifted just a little.

But now, Quinnipiac says ME is going to shift 19 points, and WashPost says MN is going to shift 14.5 points without any meaningful change in the narrative.

The only changes in the narrative are:

      1) Dem candidate is now a mental patient instead of the first woman.
      2) The GOP base is even more energized than 4 years ago–especially in MN.
      3) Trump won 2016 with a lot of question marks over what he would do–but now he runs in 2020 having secured peace in the middle east, nominated for Nobel prize, and having given the GOP base everything it wanted and more.

Now even the leftist Guardian is speaking of it in a positive manner:

“While many European countries are seeing their infection rates surge to levels not seen since the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sweden – whose light-touch approach has made it an international outlier – has recorded the fewest daily cases since the virus emerged.
The Scandinavian country’s rolling seven-day average of new cases stood at 108 on Tuesday, its lowest level since 13 March. Data from the Swedish national health agency showed only 1.2% of its 120,000 tests last week came back positive.
According to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, Sweden’s 14-day cumulative total of new cases is 22.2 per 100,000 inhabitants, against 279 in Spain, 158.5 in France, 118 in the Czech Republic, 77 in Belgium and 59 in the UK, all of which imposed lockdowns this spring.
Sweden also has fewer new daily infections than Norway and Denmark, its Nordic neighbours. Thirteen Covid-19 patients are in intensive care in Swedish hospitals, and its seven-day average of coronavirus-related deaths is zero.”

Top Trump administration health officials testified Wednesday that a vaccine for COVID-19 is not likely to be widely available until next spring or summer, and that wearing a mask, in the words of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield, remains “the most important, powerful public health tool we have.”

“I might even go so far as to say that this face mask is more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take a COVID vaccine,” Redfield told a Senate panel Wednesday.

    182. Stonewall DW says:

Months ago Rush Limbaugh likened the Dems / Biden campaign to Wile E. Coyote, who always has his stick of dynamite or clever trap blow up in his face.

It rings true. Trump just keeps out-flanking Biden at every move.

Trump is playing three-dimensional chess, while Biden is playing marbles having lost half of them.

      185. College football teams are now testing their players several times a week. Anyone who test positive is isolated and cannot practice or play until they test negative again. There is also contact tracing.

There are some states, like New York, that require any person who has been exposed to coronavirus be quarantined for 14 days before entering the state; this has caused games to be moved or rescheduled.

The coach for Louisana State made a good point:

“Louisiana State University football coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday he believes a majority of the team has already caught the coronavirus.

“I think most, not all of our players, but most of our players have caught it,” Orgeron told reporters Tuesday, according to The Advocate. “So hopefully they won’t catch it again, and hopefully they’re not out for games.””

I am not aware of any college football player who has died, or become seriously ill, from the coronavirus. At this point, would rank alcohol and reckless driving as more of a risk.

    184. SanDiegoCitizen says:

      191. Lets contrast Redfield’s bs about face masks with the head of Sweden’s successful containment effort:

“Sweden’s top infectious disease expert has resisted recommending face masks for the general population — arguing it’s “very dangerous” if people believe the coverings alone will stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Anders Tegnell, chief epidemiologist at Sweden’s Public Health Agency, has repeatedly expressed skepticism that face masks will control virus outbreaks, the Financial Times reported.

“It is very dangerous to believe face masks would change the game when it comes to COVID-19,” said Tengell, who is considered the country’s equivalent of Dr. Anthony Fauci from the White House COVID-19 task force.

He noted that countries with widespread mask compliance, such as Belgium and Spain, were still seeing rising virus rates.”

    201. PhilS says:

““The mental and physical health and welfare of our student-athletes has been at the center of every decision we have made regarding the ability to proceed forward.”

I guess the mental and physical health of their student-athletes have lesser risk now.

And, this only applies to football. Because of loss of money.

Note that the “mental and physical health welfare of student-athletes” in other sports is still at the previous risk levels.

CDC Director Redfield embarrassed the medical profession when he said a mask offers more protection than a vaccine. It’s unscientific garbage. Yet, I’ve seen “TV doctors” saying that might be the case.

If a mask is better than a vaccine, then why get any vaccine for anything? I guess kids no longer need a polio, measles, or chicken pox vaccine. They can just wear masks for the rest of their lives. No need to get a flu shot either this winter. Just wear a mask from now until eternity and you’ll never get sick again.

It is mind blowing to me a medical professional would say something so outrageously stupid.
