    Wait…what?

We’ve reached the point of absurdity with the Trump legal team’s attempts to overturn the election.

Do they really think we did not see that press conference a few days ago where they literally behind the same podium????

UPDATE (9:41pm): A number of people have pointed out Donald Trump literally said Sidney Powell was part of his legal team just eight days ago.

    1. Wes says:

Much like Gore in 2000, Trump has no coherent legal strategy whereas Biden, just like GWB the same year, can claim to be the winner under the established rules.

Trump has a right to challenge the results in court, but these bizarre legal wrangling are going to get him nothing.

The level of incoherence has long since become absurd.

    2. CamRep says:

We will remember the Doubters. Trump will too. And He won’t show them mercy.

The liberal cuck Tucker Carlson can interview Chris Christie and Liz Cheney in hell.

The Socialists’ tears taste so sweet.

    3. SanDiegoCitizen says:

      1. I tend to agree Wes. Like in 2000. all the courts can do is make sure that the existing rules were complied with, and invalid any ballots that were illegally caste.

In Florida it came down to just one state and a small number of ballots. Now there are several states involved with a much larger number of ballots. Am seeing Biden becoming president, but also believe it is critically important for the Trump campaign to demand that the potential ballot issues be closely scrutinized to prevent future mischief. He should not concede until it is done.

As with the “incoherence” of the process, this is again Trump acting as the “The Apprentice” TV showman, in a situation that required more of a sincere “Perry Mason” approach.

    4. Big Joe says:

I’m just checking in to see if Dave is going to try to backdoor his way to the Election prediction win.

It does appear that just one poster here picked 50 out of 50 states correctly.

I’m sure Dave will do the right thing. 😀 😀 😀

      Right, Dave? 😀

      BJ

    5. Robbie says:

We’ll look back at the Sidney Powell era and find it was crazier than the Mooch era.

    6. Wes says:

Interestingly in the last two elections, virtually all Senate races have gone in tandem with the winner of their respective states’ presidential candidates. Maine has been the only exception thus far. I tend to think Georgia will follow Maine’s lead in January.

This is a stark contrast to the first four elections this century, wherein presidential and Senate votes frequently split:

In 2000, three states split their votes between Gore and GOP Senate candidates while five states voted for GWB and a Dem Senate candidate.

In 2004, GWB won five states that elected Dem Senators while Kerry won two states that elected Dems to the Senate.

In 2008, McCain won a whopping six states Dem Senators won in while Obama carried one state a GOP Senator won in.

In 2012, Obama won one state a GOP Senator won in while Romney won five states Dem Senators won in.

In 2016, all Senators elected were of the same party as their states’ presidential candidates.

In 2020, no Dem won a Senate race in a state Trump won while Biden carried one state (most likely two come January) a GOP Senator won in.

    7. Wes says:

Oops. In the 2004 sentence, the “Dem” after Kerry should read as “GOP.”

    8. Paul says:

Here’s my reply to Country Dick Montana from previous thread…..

Those are the only handles I’ve used lately. Sidney was an obvious pretend version of Sidney Powell.

Roger was a more saner and more conservative version of myself. I felt I had burned my bridges with the insanity I was posting as “Paul”. But once you saw through it, I figured I’d go back to Paul.

    9. Country Dick Montana says:

I am just looking for this to be over. Biden presidency, slightly DEM house and a slightly DEM Senate. Then we can begin to rebuild the GOP in the manner of Baker, Hogan, Christie and Cheney, without those meddlesome deplorable Trump voters.

      That was for Jason. #5.

    10. Wes says:

I agree about Trump’s public persona, SDC. It hasn’t aged well nor served him well. You, Bitterlaw, and I criticized Trump’s antics during the first debate and were pilloried for it. Obviously most of the feedback Trump received reflected our perceptions during the debate, leading to his more measured approach during the second debate.

Now Trump’s back to his character from The Apprentice when he needs to be the Trump from the second debate.

I give him credit for lampshading the obvious problems with expanded VBM, but his handling of the situation makes any chance of his personally benefiting from these legal maneuvers bleak at best.

    11. Pitchaboy says:

She is not part of the team. Yet, she was in the presser. I am the first one to admit fraud has happened, although it extent is unknown. But if this is the strategy that DJT a can come up with, it is an embarrassment. If they shoot blanks in PA and GA appeals, it is over. History will not be kind.

    12. EML says:

Republicans will win both GA Senate seats. The election at the top was a referendum on Trump. The Trump haters have been satiated with his defeat. A large number of them won’t show up in January.

    13. Wes says:

CDM, it’s more likely to be a GOP Senate and Dem House with Biden as President.

Just look at the mountain of opposition research Loeffler is dumping on Warnock. That’s the kind of thing people who abandoned Trump for Biden in the Peachtree State are unlikely to cotton to.

    14. lisab says:

i think the issue is that sidney thinks it is a dominion issue,i.e. outright fraud

while the other lawyers think it is a 14th amendment issue, i.e. different procedures followed for different voters

and in the appeals courts you need constitutional arguments to succeed

    15. Wes says:

Hence the incoherent legal strategy I alluded to, Lisa.

    16. Country Dick Montana says:

You know Wes, one reason that Trump MAY be in this so hard is to keep the Trump voter engaged in GA. If even a fraction of them stay home, given Fulton County’s ability to manufacture votes, I would lean more towards a DEM Senate. Even if they both win, you still have Mitt, Sasse, Murk, Collins and possibly Graham will into give Biden and the DEMS what they want in the name of bipartisanship and “good government.” I really don’t see a whole lot of difference between the DEMS and the establishment GOP.

    17. Ivanka T says:

I can officially say that it was Lisab who pooted. It was a nice, juicy one.

    18. Wes says:

The Senators you referred to, CDM–other than Collins, who only strategically broke with the President to save her seat–are generally more anti-Trump than pro-bipartisanship.

They’re probably unlikely to give Biden any wins unless McConnell signs off on such actions for strategic reasons.

If Trump is doing this to help Perdue and Loeffler win, then I applaud him. It’s an unorthodox strategy but certainly a worthwhile one if GA Republicans storm the polls in January to keep Biden in check.

    19. EML says:

You’re a f***ing lunatic if you think that Republican senators are going to break rank. There’s a number that don’t like Trump’s personality/Twittering. But don’t mistake that for going all in on the socialist agenda. As long as Republicans hold the Senate, the leftist Biden agenda uas no chance of doing anything.

    20. Country Dick Montana says:

Wes – Trump needed the anti-trump GOP to vote for him in order to win. The GOP Reps and Senate candidates were not going to get elected with out the Trump voters. The trump voter did their job, the anti Trump voter did not. Now let’s say that only 5% of the GOP is anti Trump and 5% is the party of Trump. If the party of Trump voter sits the Senate vote out, well…

You have to remember that most of the Trump only voters were lower economic class. Their lives don’t change much regardless of who wins. So what is in it for them to bother to vote.

    21. Wes says:

Well, CDM, if Biden does as he says and reverses everything Trump did for the Trump supporters, then the pro-Trump voters have a solid reason to vote.

Notice Perdue and Loeffler are framing this election as a last stand against Biden’s agenda. They know they need Trump voters as well as non-Trump voters.

    22. Country Dick Montana says:

EML – You are free to question my sanity, you are not the first. The GOP members mentioned served with Biden for many years. There is a relationship. He will get his cabinet and his judges. His Administration’s regulations will not be stopped.

And he will get some of his socialist agenda. The GOP Members mentioned, love big government. They love being a part of big government and I believe that only Murk is facing voters the next time. Sasse, Graham and Collins can do what they want for the next 6 years, Mitt for 4.

    23. Wes says:

By the way, not all non-Trumpers failed to support him. I was never a big Trump fan and didn’t vote for him in 2016; however, I voted for him and all other Republicans on the ballot here in NC this year.

    24. Wes says:

Sasse and Romney never served with Biden. Graham, Murkowski, and Collins served with him for six years. Biden actually tried to help end Collins’ political career. I highly doubt she’s going to be amenable to being his lapdog.

    25. Country Dick Montana says:

wes – You are an astute observer of politics. I am an astute observer of the people that work for me (laborers, welders, operators, roughnecks, etc.) Trump was an idea to many of them. A way to give a big middle finger to the system and the elitists that run it. No Trump, or worse, the idea that they were screwed by those elitists in their party, perhaps they stay home, perhaps they don’t.

    26. Country Dick Montana says:

Whether they worked with Biden or not, all of them are of the “good government” ilk. The kind that thinks it best if a credentialed and elite group in Washington, DC (none of whom have ever produced a thing in their lives) tell us what is best for us. Biden will get a lot of what he wants.

    27. EML says:

Mitchie has held the Republican delegation together through thick and thin. If anything, pressure will be on Manchin especially and maybe to a lesser extent Stabenow/Peters/Tester/Casey/Brown/Baldwin to not cave in to the radicals.

    28. PresidentPaul! says:

Dems want to rig the system so severely that they will never have to worry about these “Trump voters” ever causing problems again if they can get control of the senate.

    29. Phil says:

The head pollster for for Insider Advantage says both Democratic candidates in Georgia are favored. He is a Republican who has had incredible success polling his native state. He says the Democrats are extremely organized and the VBM gives them an incredible advantage in Fulton and the surrounding counties. He says the Democratic candidates compliment each other very well as far as turning out both black and suburban voters. He says trying to paint the white candidate as radical won’t work. He says trying to ruin against Schumer (who isn’t on the formal ballot }] is not a winner. Finally, he says Jan 5th is a terrible time bor a Republican turnout election. He also cites the difficulty of getting pissed Trump supporters to come out for this election.

    30. Wes says:

As Veep, Biden was part of the presidential ticket in 2012 that excoriated Romney as anti-woman, anti-poor, anti-minority elitist. I’m not sure Romney will be a big fan of Biden.

Graham tied himself solidly to Trump and won comfortably despite having nine figures spent against him in a state Biden didn’t carry. What leverage does Biden have against him?

Murkowski likewise hails from a state Biden didn’t carry and is concerned with local issues Biden is on the opposite side of. Maybe Biden can peel her off on some things, but I doubt it.

Sasse is from a state Trump beat Biden easily in despite Biden’s carrying one of the districts. Again I’m not sure what leverage Biden has here.

    31. Country Dick Montana says:

EML – Didn’t every Democrat Senator you just mentioned vote to convict the President in his Impeachment trial? Kicking a sitting President out of office is pretty much as radical as it gets.

    32. Tgca says:

Let’s not forget Trump got 74M votes. That’s more than 12M more than any other GOP POTUS and the 2nd highest ever in an election in total votes.

Factor out Biden’s 5M lead in CA and over 1M in NY lead, and Trump won the popular vote by about 100K which shows you how close this race was and that is something the GOP should focus on if they can figure out how to avoid fraud in select Dem cities in the future.

The GOP can be competitive nationally outside CA and NY.

    33. Wes says:

Towery is also a big Trump fan with a history of painting the rosiest scenario for his chosen candidates, Phil. (See Newt Gingrich in 2012.)

His statement basically is that the entire election turns on Trump when it will hinge on the incoming Biden Administration at that time.

He also said Trump would win GA, so he’s not blessed with an unalloyed record in the state.

    34. Wes says:

Except since CA and NY are actual states, we don’t arbitrarily dismiss them from electoral calculations, Tg.

    35. Country Dick Montana says:

Biden himself has no real leverage. What he has is their desire for bipartisanship. Let’s see how it plays out.

We continue to drift left, a little slower sometimes, a little faster sometimes, but we end up in the same place eventually. I would like to see us there now, while there are still people willing to fight for what the US stood for. If it doesn’t happen now, the the frog will just sit in the pot until he boils and dies

    36. jason says:

Dershowitz thinks Trump has some good arguments.

Robbie Goebbels to call him a huckster in 3, 2, 1.

“Alan Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor emeritus, said he thinks President Donald Trump has several legal paths to a 2020 election victory.

Dershowitz said there are a few “constitutional paths to victory” for the president’s legal team, although he noted that Trump will face legal hurdles in all of them.

“For example, in Pennsylvania, they have two very strong legal arguments. One, that the courts changed what the legislature did about counting ballots after the end of Election Day. That’s a winning issue in the Supreme Court. I don’t necessarily support it, but it’s a winning issue in the Supreme Court,” Dershowitz told Fox Business on Nov. 22.

The team, meanwhile, has “a winning issue in the Supreme Court on equal protection, that some counties allowed flawed ballots to be cured while others didn’t. Bush v. Gore suggests that an Equal Protection argument can prevail.”

    37. PresidentPaul! says:

They are going to get high turnout with the VBM scam, and then the GOP is going to try to counter it on election day…only less enthusiasm than before.

That’s why I’ve said Loeffler looks a lost cause, but since Perdue is running 3-4% ahead of her, he at least has a chance.

    38. Phil says:

Wes, Democrats in the Senate are not Republicans. They ALL voted in lock step to kick Trump out of office. That included Manchin who represented a state that Trump cat tied by 42 points.

There are no moderate Democrats and certainly not senators like Tester. He’s a snake although at least he is more honest than fraud Manchin. They all subscribe to the same radical leftist agenda whether they admit it or not. Even if they didn’t they know they will be primaries if they stray from the herd. Don’t expect mercy from Schumer in a 50-50 Senate with Harris breaking any tie.

    39. EML says:

EML – Didn’t every Democrat Senator you just mentioned vote to convict the President in his Impeachment trial?
      =========================
Yes, because Trump is toxic. Do you think when the chips are down, Manchin is going to vote for single payer, reparations, the green new deal, and giving illegals the right to vote? Democrats have voted en bloc aginast all Republican nominees. Do you not think Mitchie will pay back in kind?

    40. Wes says:

What are you talking about, Phil? I haven’t been discussing Dem Senators on this thread.

    41. Country Dick Montana says:

And Wes – I believe that you once accused me of wanting “Ragnarok.” I had to look it up, but yes, if that is what it takes. The truth is since Wilson, the US of the Founders has been swept aside for something else.

    42. Wes says:

By the way, Phil, I expect the Senate to be 52R-46D-2I rather than 50R-48D-2I.

    43. EML says:

What I think Trump has done is awaken American patriotism. People once again are believing in the American idea. The next Republixan candidate needs to be unabashedly pro American without the pussy grabbing.

    44. jason says:

The head pollster for for Insider Advantage says both Democratic candidates in Georgia are favored. He is a Republican who has had incredible success polling his native state. He says the Democrats are extremely organized and the VBM gives them an incredible advantage in Fulton and the surrounding counties. He says trying to ruin against Schumer (who isn’t on the formal ballot }] is not a winner. Finally, he says Jan 5th is a terrible time bor a Republican turnout election. He also cites the difficulty of getting pissed Trump supporters to come out for this election.”

This is old news, I posted it last week, I heard his interview on Hannity.

Yet his very own poll shows a tied race.

I personally think he is wrong that the Rs should not point out how radical Warnock is. I think he is way off base on that.

      The other arguments are good.

And he is certainly right that Trump voters might not be motivated if they see the GOP leadership disenfranchising them and accepting fraud.

Loeffler seems to get the message. She was out on the stump today strongly supporting Trump’s efforts.

    45. Country Dick Montana says:

      “Yes, because Trump is toxic.”

You seem to be one of those who wishes to rebuild without the Trump voter too. Perhaps you will, perhaps they will join without him. But when you insult Trump, you are insulting a lot of people who were never interested in politics who suddenly found someone with whom they could identify. That doesn’t sound like a winning strategy. Again, they stay home and the GOP has problems.

    46. jason says:

That’s why I’ve said Loeffler looks a lost cause, but since Perdue is running 3-4% ahead of her, he at least has a chance.”

      BS.

Loeffler is running against a much weaker candidate.

    47. lisab says:

romney spoke out against the hunter biden probe, so i don’t think he is too anti biden

    48. Tgca says:

      33

That not the point Wes. The point is the GOP is competitive outside those 2 states in getting to a popular vote nationwide so folks should not assume it’s a hopeless cause as the MSM portrays. If the GOP can pick up where Trump left off, they can be competitive in the EC as well.

The GOP is becoming more of the party of the working class and has shown it can attract AA and Latinos and not just the rich while the Dems seem to be going the other way.

With the right outreach and hard work, the GOP can go after these disaffected Dem voters. In recent years, the GOP has not done that successfully until Trump came along.

    49. jason says:

You seem to be one of those who wishes to rebuild without the Trump voter too. Perhaps you will, perhaps they will join without him. But when you insult Trump, you are insulting a lot of people who were never interested in politics who suddenly found someone with whom they could identify. That doesn’t sound like a winning strategy. Again, they stay home and the GOP has problems.”

It’s ok CDM. They don’t need those low IQ working class folks, they will make it up with country club Republicans in the suburbs.

    50. Messy says:

Dershowitz got stuck during the impeachment to Trump. the reason that all the Democrats voted to kick Trump out was that he was totally guilty.

Bush v. Gore was a BS ruling. The Butterfly ballot tricked thousands into voting for Pat Buchanan.

    51. Phil says:

Right. My point is that regardless of how Sasse, Murkowski, Collins stick with the caucus it’s still won’t matter because of the solidarity of the 50 Democratic senators plus Harris.

Schumer goes for the throat. He probably won’t go for the court packing and 51st and 52nd state without being able to d|o|u undo the filibuster but he’ll win a lot of votes 51-50.

    52. jason says:

The GOP is becoming more of the party of the working class”

It should, but you can see the resistance by those that think they are superior to the working class.

    53. PresidentPaul! says:

      #49
dem plan is to pack the court, add states to keep the senate, make vote by mail permanent, and of course use MMT to put voters on the “payroll” so no one ever opposes them again.

    54. jason says:

he Butterfly ballot tricked thousands into voting for Pat Buchanan.”

      LOL

Messy admits Democrats are too stupid to vote?

    55. Country Dick Montana says:

Are you depressed Jason? I am trying as hard as I can.

    56. PresidentPaul! says:

Basically, Pelosi blocked all needed stimulus and infrastructure bills to hurt the economy going into election and avoid giving Trump a win.

If they get the senate the flood gates are open, and they get rewarded for this behavior.

    57. jason says:

Btw, Rs keep the senate is still an 80% favorite at Predictit.’

If you think the Dems will win both seats, you can get 5 to 1 odds.

    58. EML says:

You seem to be one of those who wishes to rebuild without the Trump voter too.
      ===============================
You seem to be one of those who doesn’t understand that Trump lost the popular vote by 6 million votes. Trump turned off millions of suburbanites with his ignorance. These are people not opposed to Republican ideology, they are opposed to Trump the man. A pro America Republican without the pussy grabbing Trump baggage would clean up.

    59. Presidentpaul! says:

      #59
GOP has lost the popular vote in every election but one (04) since 1988

    60. Phil says:

I heard the interview with the Insider Advantage Pollster too, Jason.

It scared the piss out of me.

    61. Country Dick Montana says:

Fine. I have no objection to you insulting the Trump voter and building without them. I wish you the best of luck.

    62. jason says:

Are you depressed Jason? I am trying as hard as I can.”

No, I am completely zen. My angst, which was very high, has disappeared.

I am interested that Trump fight the fraud out to the end and not concede and that Rs win the GA runoffs.

Once that is resolved, my interest in politics will be zero.

Others will be free to bang their heads against the ideological wall. I won’t be one of them.

    63. Tgca says:

      59

Trump accomplished electorally what no other GOPer could in 2016 and then again in 2020 with the vast majority of party support so I don’t think you can easily discount him. Perhaps if he were nicer he could have attracted more women voters in the suburbs but then one can also argue that no other GOPer could have attracted the working class, AA, and Latinos the way Trump did.

    64. PresidentPaul! says:

Mnuchen was sitting on a 1.8 trillion dollar war chest with the plan to release it into the economy going into the months before the election.

Pelosi made sure that money is still sitting unused in a bank account.

A dem senate again….rewards this behavior.

    65. CamRep says:

      It happens tomorrow, people.

My sources tell me the MI Canvassing Board *will* deadlock and refuse to certify the fraudulent votes. They will throw out all votes from Wayne, Washtenaw, and Ingham, which all have suspiciously high levels of votes for Biden.

This will allow the State Legislature to send the Trump electors.

Once MI falls, PA and WI will follow. The Rs in the state legislatures there will realize they have to be loyal, or else. At that point, Trump will have won the election.

Antifa will go crazy. Be prepared for a long December. The Dem goes will cancel Christmas, as has always been their goal. The Media will claim COVID is spiking, Don’t believe them. They want to keep the streets in antifa hands. It’s their playbook, and their only way to win.

But now Law and Order will prevail. This is too important. The country will die if the Biden Steal is allowed. Chavez will take over this country. You will see—his “death” was a charade.

And then we need Trials! First up—the Traitor Tucker Carlson!

No mercy! Have faith! The Best is Yet to Come!!!

    66. EML says:

I’m no Robbie. I think Trump has done great things to awaken the country. But his negatives are undeniable. I think leftists are going to reach too far and be smacked down mightily. I just hope it happens without my children having to fight in the war.

    67. jason says:

A pro America Republican without the pussy grabbing Trump baggage would clean up.”

Zzzzzz… nobody was more pro-America than Trump, if that is the standard.

And nothing is more ignorant than saying that the 80 million people who voted for Biden’s socialist agenda weren’t supporting his socialist agenda.

But good luck going back to Romney’s R party of suburban elitists who disdain the working class.

    68. Wes says:

Once again, Phil, I don’t think Dems will win the Senate. You may think so, but from what I’m looking at in following, I doubt it happens.

    69. Hugh says:

Trump has always thrived on chaos but this latest info on Powell makes it really tough to see the strategy for success. I believe the statistical probability that the dems stole this election is overwhelming. However it will take a well coordinated strategy to turn this around since we have no press support and support from the deep state. Clearly the well coordinated strategy is not going to happen. I’m signing off for a while. Need to start enjoying life. Fortunately for me this election means nothing I’m 63 retired financially set and whatever Biden does will not materially impact me or people like me. However my heart is broken for so many others who will suffer much because of the direction our country is taking. I will pray hard and continue to treat people well regardless of race gender or how they vote.

Good luck to all the regulars on here. I’m not gone just deciding to take a little time off.

    70. Tgca says:

      60

…and where are those losses mostly attributable? CA and NY. The GOP does not need them to win if they expand their outreach to working class whites, AA, and Latinos.

The world is changing. The Dem leaders want to be globalist and leave the workers behind. As they become more fans of socialism, the GOP has opportunities.

    71. jason says:

It looks like the Never Trumpers think they own the party and they don’t need the people who voted for Trump in the future.

      Beyond stupid.

But after the inauguration, I won’t care, I haven’t been a R for 2 years and as far as I am concerned they can take the party into oblivion.

I am betting the millions of blue collar voters, including minorities, that Trump has brought into the party aren’t as stupid as the Never Trumpers think.

    72. jason says:

      “But his negatives are undeniable”

      Biden has no negatives.

A blatantly corrupt, racist, mentally impaired plagiarist, little girl fondling quasi 80 year old…what a paragon of virtue.

    73. jason says:

Tgca, I am glad you are an optimist.

The Dems will have enough power to ensure those “opportunities” you mention will never come to fruition.

    74. EML says:

I can’t be a part of a Hedgehog Report where jason is perceived to be more to the right than me.

I am actually trying to be as positive as possible. The suburban housewives tune in to their tv shows and instafacegrambooks. Still dont know how lisab is still here.

People dont like the leftist agenda. But the reality TV that is Trump turns them off more. Y’all don’t understand the short attention span of the suburban voter.

    75. Country Dick Montana says:

What if Trump decides to get behind the DEMS (self-preservation) or go Teddy Roosevelt an start a 3rd Party. Where do his voters go?

    76. jason says:

Fine. I have no objection to you insulting the Trump voter and building without them. I wish you the best of luck.”

      I second the motion.

    77. jason says:

People dont like the leftist agenda.”

      BS.

    78. Country Dick Montana says:

I would say that the voters Trump brought to the GOP have an even shorter attention span than the suburban housewives. Without Trump or someone very much like hiom, they have no rooting interest. Their lives don’t change much, and they were never interested in politics to begin with.

    79. Gatorbillyjoel says:

I didn’t think Rump could become more of an embarrassment, but these last few weeks have been desperate even for him. The positive thing for the country is that no one is paying any attention to him. His little sideshow is just good for a few laughs while the grown-ups move on with the process of preparing to run the country. Only true fools are continuing to stay with Rump. If you’re donating money to him, just know there is zero return on that investment. The actual fraud taking place is defrauding Rump supporters of their money to line the pockets of people like Rudy, who wouldn’t know the law if it bit him in the ass. I would feel sorry for the people paying money for this, but Rump-kissers deserve everything coming their way.

    80. EML says:

      ====================
You are destroying me. This can’t happen. I know Biden is a racist rapist. But you gotta understand the level of brainwashing that has gone on. “They” just don’t like the Trump persona. But they also don’t like the leftist agenda. With Trump out of the way,we can get back to some level of normality

    81. Paul says:

46: I’ve heard Sharpton talk about the vaccine several times and that sounds like some bogus crap. Sharpton had mentioned that certain communities (like the Black community) needs to be reassured about the vaccine. He suggested working through black churches to educate about the vaccine. THAT DOESN’T SOUND LIKE HE IS ANTI-VACC LIKE THAT FAKE NEWS ITEM.

    82. jason says:

he suburban housewives tune in to their tv shows and instafacegrambooks”

Wishful thinking and misogynistic to boot.

Most are left wing products of a far leftist educational system and a far left MSM that feeds them the news.

They have been brainwashed into believing they want big government, socialized medicine, and all kinds of “free benefits”.

There is nothing the R party can offer them, nada. They are not interested in lower taxes and smaller government.

    83. jason says:

ith Trump out of the way,we can get back to some level of normality”

You are very naive, if you think trading Trump for “normalcy” is a winning hand.

These are the people who think normalcy is defunding the police and that burning down blgs is ok since there is insurance, and that is just the start. These are people who believe in censoring any dissenting thought.

You are making a really bad trade.

    84. EML says:

CDM and jason, who would you like to see as the 2024 Republican nominee?

    85. Country Dick Montana says:

“we can get back to some level of normality”

What is normality? Another career politician? Just another person (and they are all Narcissists)to tell us how to live?

I understand that Government is the price we pay for living in civilized society, but I haven’t found a politician yet that doesn’t like an ever larger and more intrusive Administrative State.

    86. Country Dick Montana says:

For me, right now at this 5 minutes it would be a ticket of Noem and Scott.

    87. jason says:

I am not even voting in 2024, so you can have any nominee you want.

    88. Country Dick Montana says:

But, like Jason, I am out of it now. This is just kind of a hobby now.

    89. PresidentPaul! says:

Pompeo needs to get a diet though because in 4 years he’s going to be too fat to run.

    91. EML says:

So just capitulate to the leftist agenda? Brilliant strategy.

I’m a Walker guy. The things he did in Wisconsin were brilliant. Cruz and Rubio I can also get behind. But I guess we are throwing in the towel and waiting for the next war

    92. jason says:

I don’t see any R putting together the type of coalition needed to win in 2024. In addition VBM and other pro-fraud changes the Dems will make would make it very difficult even IF you had a viable candidate.

    93. PresidentPaul! says:

I always thought Walker looked like he got kicked by a mule.
Noem is annoying. Scott is generic politician.

      If it’s Rubio…hell no.

    94. jason says:

So just capitulate to the leftist agenda? Brilliant strategy.”

We have already capitulated, you just didn’t notice.

You were too busy worrying about Trump’s tweets, the world passed you by.

    95. jason says:

CDM, don’t you find it hilarious that the same people who want to surrender, accept a stolen election, and “move on” are the same who think we should definitely be out there “fighting” against socialism in 2022 and 2024.

      The hypocrisy is astounding.

    96. Country Dick Montana says:

      “waiting for the next war”

A talk of a next war is silly. It will not happen. Not in our lifetimes anyway.

In my fantasy world, every truck driver pulls over where they are. Every train engineer pulls into the next siding and leaves. Everyone of my guys flares their wells and shutdown their plants.

The we can see what happens without the working class. But it won’t. Only wishful thinking.

    97. jason says:

Do they really think we did not see that press conference a few days ago where they literally behind the same podium?”

Too bad Dave is falling for that MSM meme. So what that they were on the same podium? How does that contradict anything in the statement?

    98. Country Dick Montana says:

Jason, I actually hope that they can rebuild things and stop it. But it is their fight. Like Hugh, I will be OK.

    99. jason says:

      I like Flynn
idk if I would like Pompeo for president, but I do find him to be very interesting.
      I like Rand

Fortunately none of them will run, let alone win.

    100. jason says:

Jason, I actually hope that they can rebuild things and stop it. But it is their fight. Like Hugh, I will be OK.”

      109. Trump is not going away. He has been advocating for his trade and other policies for decades. He will continue to lead his movement. I see him continuing to hold rallies. He retains the loyality of the vast majority of Republicans and his base.

As I said before; Reagan lost in the Republican primary in 1976, and went on to get the nomination and become president in 1980. My hunch is a Biden presidency could be as disastrous as the Jimmy Carter presidency. And like Ted Kennedy’s challenge to Carter; the Democrat Bolshevik left likely will challenge Biden once he takes office. It will be ugly.

The non-urban/rural voters DEFINITELY would want to put a brake on President Biden.

I would think the suburban voters would also want to do the same thing, since enacting Biden’s left wing agenda would be contrary to their own self interest.

      2. Same day registration; Bad idea, should be banned.

      3. Mailing of absentee ballots to EVERYONE on voter registration lists–whether they request one or not; HORRIBLE idea that invites fraud.

      4. REQUIRE and verify signature match on mail in ballots

      5. REGUIRE Voter ID

      6. Residency requirements changes needed?

      7. REQUIRE Monthly update of Voter Registr. lists by state SOS and county clerks to add new voters and remove those who moved, died, etc. (and purge voter lists to prevent people people who died in 1984 casting votes in 2020). If all 50 states joined E.R.I.C, this would be a good start…it would also tell each state of what people are registered to vote in more than one state or more than one jurisdiction in the same state.

      **********************************
ALSO, I have heard/read where in Allegheny county PA (Pittsburgh) there were 16,000 provisional ballots (inordinately high?). And 12,000 of them were of voters who showed up to vote on Nov. 3, but were told by the poll workers that someone by that name, address, etc. has already voted…and since they insisted it was not them, they voted a provisional ballot and authorities set those aside (as is S.O.P.) to go through them later and determine whether to count these votes or not.

What were the final resolution of these provisional ballots?

88 – there are several schools of thought on what potato is best for baking. You’ll want a potato that is more starchy for the best potato. Russets will give you that nice, creamy baked inside but crisp on the outside.

In other words, varieties like King Edward and Desiree potatoes are the best potatoes for baking, since their relatively high starch content gives you that soft and fluffy inside. Their skin also doesn’t hold moisture well, which makes for that ideal crispy exterior.

I suggest rubbing the outside down with olive oil and sea salt. Make sure to puncture the potato and I like to bake them directly in the oven rack with no foil or cooking sheet.

Do you all like to eat the skin? I’m a big fan of eating the skin.

Is the Republican base ready to leave the GOP behind? Trump could become a kingmaker in the future by pulling a significant portion of his loyal GOP base out of the party or directing them to support candidates of his choice.

I left the GOP and registered as Indy in 2006 and though I often support GOP candidates, I no longer donate to the party so I’m sure there are many who may think like that. Let the GOP have the Romney’s, Sasse’s, Murkowski’s, etc. My vote is no longer guaranteed to the GOP. I can easily support an ideal Indy or just sit out elections not of great interest to me.

I agree with someone earlier who said many of the Trump supporters are more patriotic than political since the political establishment of both parties are often indistinguishable from one another.

I think GWB was a great President, we should thank our lucky stars he was the President during 9/11 and not Al Gore, and he was right about Iraq, the WMD is a red herring. And if he was “conned” so was every other leader in the Western world and the Democratic leadership too.

I don’t agree Roberts was a “terrible pick”, I agree Harriet Myers was a bad pick, but she is not on the court. And I once heard GWHB say Souter was his worst mistake as President.

It is always easy to question decisions made with the facts available at the time, but that is not the way it works.

But Phil is right that GWB IS part of the elitist club, and that he holds the same disdain for the great unwashed that all the other country club Rs have. It is very unfortunate and shows lack of character.

I can still separate all that from his Presidency however, and he saved us from Al Gore and John Kerry.

They really are that supremely ignorant and arrogant. They are operating under the collective delusion that, deep in our hearts, Republicans want the Republican Party to be the way that Democrats want the Republican Party to be.

A big part of the problem is that the poor dears on the Left spin so much b.s. that they all end up believing their own garbage lies. One of the biggest ones that their media lapdogs repeated throughout the campaign was that there was this massive wave of people who voted for Trump in 2016 who weren’t going to vote for him in 2020.

There were maybe fourteen such people in America.

The reality was that there were millions of people who didn’t vote for him last time who were willing to do anything to vote for him this year. As of the time I’m writing this, Trump has around 14.1 million more votes than he had in 2016.

The courts now lean so firmly right that legal experts have already called any legal battle between Democrats and Republicans for the right already.

On top of that, Trump has made more inroads into minority communities than Republicans have in decades and it has the left panicked. All the right has to do is pick up the torch and keep running with it. If it succeeds, one of the left’s favorite weapons will be stripped from their hands.

But more than that, is that Trump taught the right how to fight and the right learned eagerly. Trump set a bar for how to handle the left and you can bet that Republicans won’t forget it. Trump exposed the weaknesses of the left and now that they’re naked in the open, it’s time to strike.”

Wishful thinking. I don’t really see anybody picking up the torch and running with it.

“New York Magazine reported soon after the election that Hillary Clinton was “being urged by a group of prominent computer scientists and election lawyers to call for a recount in three swing states won by Donald Trump.”

The group included voting-rights attorney John Bonifaz and J. Alex Halderman, the director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society, who believed they had found “persuasive evidence that results in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania may have been manipulated or hacked.”

Hacked? But we’re being told today that claims that the 2020 election may have been hacked are wild conspiracy theories! Imagine that. While the Clinton campaign didn’t move forward with those challenges, Hillary Clinton still argues that the 2016 election was “stolen” from her.

Keep in mind that the aforementioned J. Alex Halderman is the same man who, in a video published by the New York Times in 2018, demonstrated how easy it would rig a voting machine.

According to a New York Magazine story, this group of lawyers and experts “held a conference call with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and campaign general counsel Marc Elias to make their case.” According to their statistical analysis, Clinton underperformed in counties using electronic voting machines, and, despite having no evidence of hacking or manipulation of votes, recommended an independent review.”

This process to certify has been clouded by the accusations of voter irregularities. Even with this vote all the GOP canvassers are asking for an audit and examination of the Michigan vote.

Only 5.8% of California’s population is black. Almost 40% is Hispanic. The Hispanic population, which is predominately located in Southern California and the Central Valley, is largely ignored by the Bay Area Democrats. If demographics is a factor, the newly appointed California senator should be Hispanic.

The Republicans gained three congressional seats in California this election in Southern California and the Central Valley. Add the seat they won in the special election (Garcia), and the Republicans may have a future in California if the Hispanic and Asian population moves in there direction. It could resemble what happened in Florida.

      – I’m skeptical Trump will run again in 2024, but I have no doubt he’ll act like he’s running for the next few years.

There’s no doubt in my mind the issues on which Trump ran will remain paramount for Republican voters.

I wonder, though, after what are likely to be “return to normalcy” years under Biden just how interested voters will be for a return to the kind of craziness Trump brings with him.

It seems to me if you want Trumpism without Trump and the feistiness of Trump without Trump Ron DeSantis would be a logical successor.

      We’ll see.

States basically stay the same as 2020- Florida is republican is not a battleground like Texas. It would come down again the Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia and Michigan. If we elect Republican lawmakers governor and sec of state in PA, Michigan, and Wisconsin, and work on how voting can happen, Don Jr or SR can win. Yesterday afternoon, the oatmeal hit the fan in NY CD-22 regarding the counting of absentee ballots.
IMHO, it sounds like much ado about nothing since only a few ballots are involved. From the Syracuse newspaper:

“The commissioners said they intended to put a sticky note on each of the 39 ballots that outlined whether a ballot was counted, the basis of a candidate’s challenge and which candidate challenged it.

But by the time an envelope arrived at DelConte’s courtroom, at least EIGHT ballots had no sticky note.

DelConte asked Cardone how to determine whether a ballot was counted and whether it was contested.

      “You can’t,” she admitted.”

Over 100 ballots separate Tenney(R) and the Democrat with Tenney ahead.

SOLUTION- Count the ramaining ballots and see if the eight or so “missing” ones are relevant to the outcome!

Let’s see what the 3rd Circuit does, should rule by Wednesday.

“As significantly, Judge Brann seemed to inappropriately consider the remedy — as well as mischaracterizing the remedy — that the Plaintiff was seeking by way of the action as a reason to deny leave to amend. He started out his memorandum with the following claim:

In this action, the Trump Campaign and the Individual Plaintiffs (collectively, the “Plaintiffs”) seek to discard millions of votes legally cast by Pennsylvanians from all corners – from Greene County to Pike County, and everywhere in between. In other words, Plaintiffs ask this Court to disenfranchise almost seven million voters.

In my view, the nature of a remedy sought by a litigation should play no role in the views of the presiding judge with regard to the theory advanced for seeking relief. In the event that the Plaintiffs prevail, the appropriateness of the remedy would be for the Court to determine at that time, based on the totality of the record before it. Judge Brann’s comments are logically no different than would be the case of dismissing a lawsuit over an auto accident because the Plaintiff asked for $10 trillion in damages. The Plaintiff can ask for whatever they want — whether the outcome of the case would warrant such relief is irrelevant to their entitlement to pursue their claim.”

Has it ever occurred to you they are morbidly obese people who eat a lot? Besides, restaurant prices in SF Bay Area are much higher. I know! I used to lived there and a small dish of tofu and veggies with seaweed juice could cost like $35 years back. So I expect the large multiple portions of 8 morbidly obese people would easily total to $15K in SFBay area these days.

With a fair and unbiased MSM, this number would be closer to 100% and it would be a lot higher with Indies too.

Men have been circumcised for thousands of years, yet our thinking about the foreskin seems as muddled as ever. And a close examination of this muddle raises disturbing questions. Is this American exceptionalism justified? Should we really be funding mass circumcision in Africa? Or by removing the foreskins of men, boys and newborns, are we actually committing a violation of human rights?

The most common procedure, the foreskin is opened adhesions are removed, and the foreskin is separated from the glans. After that, a circumcision device may be placed, and then the foreskin is cut off.

      – I know you’re frustrated and angry with the presidential result, but the view the Republican Party is about to eject working class voters from the party has crystalized with you very quickly. Why?

Was there some comment made by a Republican in the Senate or a governor that left you with this opinion? I’m not sure why this view has taken hold so quickly. Is it just your prediction?

The rural/working class vote has become more and more a part of the party since the 2010 Tea Party wave election. If you look at the exit polls, this group has steadily moved towards Republicans and it was happening long before Trump came down the escalator.

I haven’t seen anyone suggest a return the Bush days. That party died off after 2006 and 2008. Jeb found that out the hard way. And while I know you don’t like Haley now, I think the 2014 version of yourself would be surprised to know the 2020 version of you feels she is a country club Republican when she was, in fact, one of the great Tea Party successes of 2010.

I’m not telling you you should support Nikki Haley either. But let’s not act like she’s Larry Hogan either.

Actually, Gordon, I am closer ideologically to the “old party” than I am to the new one. I believe in free trade and I believe the interests of the US and its alliances are all over the world and the US has to protect these interests and alliances, including militarily if need be. I think also think a globalized economy is here to stay, and I don’t see that as negative. I have supported every military intervention and I would not have pulled any troops out of Iraq or Afghanistan.

But this is why I left the party, I recognize my views are in the minority and they are not going to be in the majority again. So be it. But I also recognize that there are not enough people with my views in the party or in the country to win elections, and that is why I welcome the inroads into the blue collar working class vote, white, black and Hispanic, even if it means that the party will become more isolationist.

Unfortunately, the R elites still think they don’t need this vote, and that is why they are so willing to surrender the election and basically disenfranchise the Trump supporters.

That poll should be chilling to these elites. If Trump does start a third party the R party will be toast.

Nikki Haley showed herself to be a gutless wonder when she rushed to drool all over BLM.

As to the flag issue, what I said was that taking down the flag was an expedient political move, it didn’t require any conviction. So I disagreed that it was an example of conviction, especially as compared to her boneheaded support for BLM.

I don’t see why I can’t say that in general I support removing confederate symbols from state flags but at the same time I don’t think doing that is any great sign of conviction.

      GFY.

    435. jason says:

And btw, I was never anti-Nikki Haley. I have defended her many times here. I have often said she has a compelling life story, and that she was on my list of potential candidates in the future.

And when Robbie suggested she might run against Trump in 2020, I quickly mocked for his stupidity, she had already declared her loyalty to him and was not going to do that. I was right.

But I think she has squandered her opportunity to be an heir to Trump so to speak. I think it is too late, like I think it is for Rubio, to garner the trust and support of the core of the R voters.

And she only has herself to blame. The BLM was an incredible error of judgment, but it was telling that she was too quick to try to ingratiate herself with the mob mentality crowd.

I think she might as well be a Larry Hogan, because I don’t think she is going anywhere.

Or is the point to find enough signatures that don’t match and try to throw out the whole election?”

      #512, Paul-

I’m not sure what the President tweeted, but here’s how GA rolls. The signature on the mail ballot is compared to the signature from voter registration. If confirmed, the ballot is accepted and ready for counting. Not sure what happens to the envelope.

If signature is not confirmed, then the envelope and ballot are set aside and not accepted. Election officials keep a record of such ballots and GA law mandates that the voter must be contacted. Voters can also check the status of their ballot online. The voter then has 3 days to show up at the polling place and “cure” the ballot. If cured and accepted, the ballot will be counted.

In the days following Election Day, I was contacted via text by no less than 10 Dem volunteers (I’m a registered Dem) asking me to go to the designated website and check if my ballot needed curing. As I had voted in person, the text did not apply.

It can’t be that Beasley is a radical leftist in a right-leaning state. No. Not at all. It’s simply that white voters are furious because a black woman is calling them out on their racism by issuing racially charged rulings.

This article is quite clearly an uninformed racist screed written by a woke liberal who can’t believe NC didn’t dance like a marionette on the radical NCSC’s strings.

Dblaikie asked: Tell us please why in all the States that matter they suddenly quit counting the vote at 1:30 am and when they started counting back there was huge dumps for Biden.

Dblaikie, I think I’ve answered that multiple times but apparently you are too dense to understand after all these weeks. The Republican legislatures decided that mail-in ballots COULD NOT be counted before hand like in Florida. So they had to wait until all in-person voting was counted (around 1:30). Then they began the process of counting mail-ins.

In-person voting may have been 70%/30% in favor of Trump up to that point. Once they switched it would naturally go to 70%/30% in favor of Biden. Looks odd, but just a normal part of the process of an odd election.

    534. Paul says:

Country Dick Montana: simultaneously, you are saying that nothing changes with Biden and yet you act like this is the end of the world that Trump lost.

Doesn’t matter. The rural hospitals and all in general will get overwhelmed. Not only that but the rural hospitals need to be able to transfer to the hub hospitals, and if everything is full everything just stops functioning.

second point is deaths always lag the rise. Even if mortality is better, which it is, you’re still going to see a upward rise in deaths lagging the spikes in tests and hospitalizations.

third point- the hospitalizations aren’t even rolling over like March and July peaks. It’s just going straight up like bitcoin.

    548. Paul says:

Well folks we have a boom today. Just a few minutes ago a Pennsylvania Common Wealth Judge has blocked the continued certification of Pa. vote until her court can hold a hearing on this Friday. This is the lawsuit brought Sean Parnell and Mike Kelly. The plaintiffs alleged that Pennsylvania’s vote-by-mail stature—Act 77—is in violation of the state’s constitution. Of course this includes the Presidential Election. Here is the link: The plaintiffs alleged that Pennsylvania’s vote-by-mail stature—Act 77—is in violation of the state’s constitution.

    557. dblaikie says:

    558. jason says:

      Yep..

“In those three states, Biden’s margin of victory is less (AZ 11k, GA 13k, WI 20k) than Trump’s margin in his three-state win in 2016 (WI 22k, MI 11k, PA 45k).”

    559. dblaikie says:

The Epoch Times will not let me put up the link.

    560. jason says:

Also in Nevada there is a case going to trial on Dec 3.

For the first time we will actually see the plaintiffs present evidence of fraud at a trial.

      Should be interesting.

    561. jason says:

I am skeptical they would throw out all the VBM ballots.

In PA, they should throw out all the ballots that were not legally cast. Signatures not matched. Dead people. Harvested votes in nursing homes. Out of state people. Late ballots. Ballots not cast correctly in the right envelope. Ballots counted with no witnesses present in Philly and Allegheny Cos.

It is a long list. But it numbers in the hundreds of thousands, more than enough to reverse the results.

    562. dblaikie says:

Folks this is big. I always figured that Parnell’s and Kelly’s case against act 77 was going to come into play.

Once again you would never know it unless you block out all the media except for Newsmax. But stuff is happening. It is happening at the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals. It is happening at the hearing in Gettysburg. And now we have this bombshell which if this judge rules that act 77 is not Constitutional — it is an arrow headed to the Supreme Court and Judge Alito.

    563. dblaikie says:

Jason, here is the important paragraph in Parnell’s and Kelly’s filing:

“As with prior historical attempts to illegally expand mail-in voting by statute, which have been struck down going as far back as the Military Absentee Ballot Act of 1839, Act 77 is another illegal attempt to override the limitations on absentee voting prescribed in the Pennsylvania Constitution, without first following the necessary procedure to amend the constitution to allow for the expansion.”

    564. dblaikie says:

Well who would have believed it, we finally have a judge in Pennsylvania who isn’t part of the Democratic Party. Could be interesting on Friday at this hearing. Let’s hope McCullough has some courage mixed with guts!

    565. Waingro says:

#585, I have a feeling the hacks on the PA Supreme Court will overturn that in short order…..

    566. jason says:

She is a judge elected statewide, not a county judge.

    567. jason says:

I don’t know if they are going to overturn the request for a hearing.

    568. jason says:

      Diego Maradona dead.

He was a jerk and a communist, not necessarily in that order but one of the greatest soccer players of all time.

I had the privilege of watching him play in several matches live, not to mention hundreds of games on TV.

    569. jason says:

“But one challenge that isn’t from the Trump team but might meet showing that systemic issue is from the conservatives at the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, according to Just the News.

On Tuesday, they filed an emergency petition to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, challenging the election results saying they had identified over 150,000 potentially fraudulent ballots.

The difference in Wisconsin is 20,608 votes in Wisconsin, so that could certainly make a difference there, if true.

Phill Kline, director of the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, said the number involved was “more than enough to call into question the validity of the state’s reported election results.”

Kline also called out the “discrepancies” a “direct result of Wisconsin election officials’ willful violation of state law.”

So what exactly did they saying they found?

According to the group in their petition, they found 14,426 ballots that were requested by a Republican but then filled in by another person, 12,071 Republican ballots that were returned but not counted, 26,673 illegal votes of people who voted where they didn’t reside, 96,437 who illegally voted absentee, 6966 illegally voted who were out of state and 234 double votes. That adds up to issues with 156,807 ballots.”

    570. jason says:

IMO, that is the targeted type of strategy that should be used in MI, PA, GA, NV and AZ.

    571. dblaikie says:

Of course the Pa Supreme Court will overrule if she rules in favor of Parnell and Kelly. They can’t overrule anything though until they have something to overrule. That is not a hearing. Waingo, understand, if she rules in Parnell’s and Kelly’s favor this is headed like a rocket to the US Supreme Court.

Fellow posters this is the first serious strike that our side has had since this election was fraudulently called by the media. Now of course if Judge McCullough rules against Kelly and Parnell, that would stop this.

    572. dblaikie says:

Like I say, fellow posters. Stuff is happening. In the last four years there have been several times that I believed that Trump’s goose was cooked, his turkey fried, his chicken baked and then something happens and he comes out ahead. I learned a long time ago when it comes DJT vs the rest of Washington never count him out.

    573. jason says:

This will happen here soon also, despite Bunu’s alarmist crap.

“The World Health Organization said this week that the spread of the virus appears to have slowed in Europe in general. Although the region comprises about 50 percent of all new global coronavirus deaths, new cases have fallen about 6 percent in the past week after falling 10 percent the week before.”

    575. dblaikie says:

Today is quite a day. We have another boom from Nevada. Here is the news: “A judge in Nevada has set a date in December to hear from Republicans alleging widespread voter fraud in the state.

Judge James Russell of the First Judicial District Court will hear from attorneys representing President Trump’s campaign at an evidentiary hearing on Dec. 3, at which up to 15 witnesses may be deposed, Russell said.

“The complaint is kind of a very limited nature, challenging basically the machine used in Clark County,” the judge also said.”

Your reasons are morally indefensible and even you know it. I think it was Thomas So we’ll who stayed how much of a taxpayers money must you get before it is considered robbery.

I am in the minority on BJ and I understand that. And I have stated my reasons. Biden on the other hand is nothing but a stain. He will not be accepted by a huge piece of the electorate, so he will do what all politicians who need to steal elections do, subjugate those who voted against him.

You know Robbie, if I gave a phlying phuq about the thoughts of a middle aged man with no wife, no kids who still lives with his mother (who happens to be his best friend too) or at least the house she left you, along with the little trust fund that allowed you to toil for years in the regional airline business for $15k a year, well I would have to slash my wrists.

Like I said, have fun building the GOP in your image.

      – I must have missed comedy hour last evening in this forum because this is comic gold.

No one’s going to build a party in my image, but thank goodness we aren’t going to build a party in your image either. You’ve said repeatedly in this forum you don’t respect anyone who gets elected and tries to make government work. You just want someone who will blow it all up. Well, I’ve got some bad news for you. The party you desire is never going to happen and that’s a great thing.

If you want to take your ball and go home because Trump lost, that’s your choice. If you want to root for the two Republicans in Georgia to lose, that’s your choice. But if you choose to do those things, don’t expect very many people who have been a part of Republican politics to embrace your views with open arms or, frankly, care what you think at all.

As for the cheap shots at me, you do you. I worked two different jobs during high school and college to pay off my flight training. I lived at home during my college years to cut costs so I could spend the money I earned on flight training. And then after I had earned my licenses and ratings, I spent several years flight instructing. And I can tell you, that’s not a very glamourous or profitable life. But, again, you do you.

    614. Country Dick Montana says:

      Robbie, Robbie, Robbie,

I have stated that I understand that government is a necessary evil required to live in a civilized society. What is not necessary is the Federal Government’s current size and continued growth.

And you are right, there is no political party that will stop that. So why bother. That is why I want it blown up. And if going full blown socialism along with economic collapse and civil unrest gets us there faster, so much the better. Perhaps people will find the ideals that formed the greatest country ever worth fighting for again. But you can disagree with me and that is your choice.

As for you personally,I get it, you like being governed. In your profession you don’t do a thing without asking a permission from a government worker. You are handed off from one government worker to another several times a day. Perhaps you have gotten used to it. But it was the profession that you chose, whether glamorous or otherwise. You did it because you wanted to fly and could afford to live on peanuts for a long time, or had other income/inheritance. The fact that you called it a cheap shot is indicative of it being somewhat rooted in the truth.

This 5-4 decision reflects what I have posted for several weeks. The voter irregularity program initiated this election cycle was predicated on a functioning RBG and John Roberts providing the 5th vote to defeat President Trump. With Barrett in place, Roberts can only serve as the emissary to the three liberals on the court, to try to persuade them to agree to a 9-0 opinion that that leads to the re-election of Trump but without leading to criminal indictments. If his persuasion fails, Justice Thomas will likely write an opinion, an opinion that takes down the man who ruined his life.

Yesterday was the first sign that Trump has a real chance. Between the lawsuits filed across the swing states, including the Krakens, the legislative hearing in PA, and those to come in other states, and the injunction preventing certification in PA by a state court judge the mantra of no evidence of fraud won’t hold. Will it be enough to create enough doubt to prevent Biden from getting 270, that’s the question.

The evidence has been laid out in affidavits and now in live testimony, which in combination with what it appear to be clear violations of the constitution and state election law provide a basis to set certification aside in a number of states and may change the outcome of other races.

    678. dblaikie says:

BJ, this is a straw man. You vote DEM and you wish to have the country governed by them. If not for their policies then why. You express an interest in Politics that has the same root as policy, yet you don’t care for policy. That makes no sense.

So the question remains, why vote Democrat. If is is simply that you chose it as your “Team” or it has always been your “Team” (like cheering for the Yankees) then fine.

Also my theorectical interest in flower arrangement would only affect me. Your interest in politics affects everyone.

With regard to subjugation, I will let your interest in history take you where that will go. F.A. Hayek’s “The Road to Serfdom” does a very good job of showing how that works. It won him a Nobel Prize, so he is probably is better equipped to answer that question. But the subjugation happens pretty much the same way every time. In the US it will start with de facto gun confiscation (allowing lawsuits against gun manufacturers, limiting and taxing ammunition. registration and limitation of ownership of guns, eventual confiscation.) That disarms the populace, not that they had much of a chance against the military anyway. We also now have in the country something the Hayek could not imagine and that is an efficient surveillance state, including corporations. Imagine the treasure trove of information just on the HHR server. Easy to track down people with the wrong thinking.

Secession is not going to happen, as I have stated numerous times to the internet warriors here. Once the security forces are co-opted and there is no way to defend onself, some will lay down, others will be punished with jail, and some the most dangerous and non-compliant will be disappeared and killed. It happens and it has always happened throughout history. Why would the people that want power in this country be any different?

That is your answer. Dystopian? Yes. But history repeats itself constantly. And it generally begins with good intentions.

One last thing. It is Biden that is out there talking about healing and uniting the country. Is he lying to us or is it just politics as usual.

    680. jason says:

Just for argument’s sake, what if Trump did go to the Inauguration of Biden. Would that make him a Never Trumper? Could Jason still shake his hand?

      No and yes.

I would be very disappointed but it wouldn’t be the first time I was disappointed withe something Trump did.

I think he would be a fool to give an legitimacy to a stolen election, but maybe that is just me.

    681. jason says:

Ok so the turkey IS way too big for 8 people, 27 lbs.

I am tired of my wife asking who is going to eat a 27 lb turkey so I am sulking in the basement with my guns while it cooks.

Plus what is wrong with turkey sandwiches, turkey casserole, turkey hash, turkey stir fry, turkey tacos, turkey soup?

    682. jason says:

s Biden that is out there talking about healing and uniting the country. Is he lying to us or is it just politics as usual.”

      He is lying.

Hard to imagine a more divisive candidate except maybe Obama.

Biden is all about pitting various segments of the population against each other, much like Obama did. Rich against poor, black against white, women against men, gay against straight, you name it.

But it works, it certainly got Obama elected.

    683. jason says:

Evidently, in GA, not if you were a Republican.

    685. jason says:

Looks like Powell has delivered the Kraken in GA.

      Let’s hope it is good.

    686. LivintheDream says:

I’ve read the Kraken complaint in Georgia. It serves as a mix of the two arguments we have seen to date: fraud/server issues; and violations of federal and state law. What the Georgia complaint has in common with Pennsylvania is the decision by the state executive branch to implement new election rules when that right is vested in the legislature. That alone is a violation. The evidence offered in the rest of the complaint and apparently in numerous affidavits which are summarized and referenced in the complaint lay out how these violations led to ballot stuffing and irregularity that puts into question tens of thousands of votes far in excess of Biden’s margin of victory and therefore compels no certification.

Interestingly, Powell’s complaint ask for the immediate seizure of the machines for inspection and review. If what was said at the PA hearing is true that all logs and backups have been destroyed, this is a real problem for the state actors responsible.

Bottom line: This is a real complaint with real evidence. The same can be said for Michigan.

the media won’t cover this bc it is invested in the election being over. Once again, if/when one state flips the media will have a problem explaining this to its audience. Next week should be fun.

    688. Bitterlaw says:

Why would it be any different? Because America has always been different! Enough of this violent subjugation by Democrats b.s. If you remove yourself from politics you deserve to be subjugated. Get back in the fight.

I’m Bitterlaw and I approve this message.

    689. jason says:

If you remove yourself from politics you deserve to be subjugated.”

The nation voted to be subjugated, not me.

    690. jason says:

Enough of this violent subjugation by Democrats b.s.”

You are very late to the party if you are only outraged now.

    691. Country Dick Montana says:

      Bitter

Paine was a 1776 version of some of our conservative talking heads (some of whom apparently can’t be mentioned on this site.)

Later in life he was also a very big supporter of the Montagnard faction of the Jocobins. You know, Robespierre, the Reign of Terror and all the fun that came with it.

The Jacobins, like the Democrats started out with the best of intentions. Kind of like I stated above.

    692. jason says:

I wish Bitter all the luck in the world in fighting “violent” Democratic subjugation in the future.

    693. jason says:

The election was stolen from Donald Trump? Well, just give up then.”

      Zzzzzz….

Nobody has stated more times that this election was not about Trump than I have, so that dog won’t hunt.

    694. Country Dick Montana says:

“Because America has always been different!”

Would love to disagree with you, but even if America is different, people who desire power are not. Not my opinion, just History talking again.

BTW, total subjugation won’t happen overnight, as that would lead to massive civil disobedience, possibly with some member of the security forces joining in. No, it will happen a little bit at a time, just like the indoctrination of our younger citizens has taken 50 years.

    695. Country Dick Montana says:

“Would love to disagree with you”

I meant agree. No one, with the exception of those who wish to be a part of the power structure want what is eventually coming down the pike.

    696. Country Dick Montana says:

” Enough of this violent subjugation by Democrats b.s.”

Initially, subjugation will not be violent. It will be a case of simply making laws, and small ones at that that makes everyone a criminal. Example:

Congress passes a federal mandate that masks must be worn at all times, punishable by a minimum of 14 days to one year in jail for a first offense. Well, I for one will do what they want.

Don’t depend on the SCOTUS as they have no mechanism to enforce their rulings. Enforcement is the Executive Branch. And if the Executive Branch along with the Administrative State doesn’t wish to enforce then there is nothing that the SCOTUS can do about it.

    697. Country Dick Montana says:

Speaking of the SCOTUS, anyone now who doesn’t think that Roberts is a flunky for big government and against individual rights is nuts.

    698. Tgca says:

Oh puhleez! A 27 pound turkey is nothing.

I’m baking a 35 pound tofu roast because I’m expecting 35 of my closest friends for dinner today. I figure a pound of tofu roast for each of them should be enough as people gleefully slobber down 2nd and 3rd helpings. Yummeee!!!!

      We’ll start off with:

Warm Arugula walnut salad mixed with olive oil and oregano and complimented with fresh ground pepper and Himalayan sea salt

Creamy squash soup garnished with nutmeg

Slivered avocado drizzled with fresh squeezed lime juice and chipotle flakes

Fresh brioche muffins with a garlic and chives butter

Then we’ll start the main course:

Chestnut tofu roast with a crusty cranberry topping baked in a juicy rosemary and sage cream sauce

Moderately moist Vegan rosemary pecan corn stuffing laced with minced cranberries and jalapeños that should keep some of the non-Latin guests up tonight reading on the toilet and wincing.

Roasted purple and yellow beets drizzled in a mildly sweet chipotle glaze garnished with oregano and basil

Edamame and green bean casserole baked to perfection with a Parmesan and slivered pearl onion crust tossed in a creamy artichoke and garlic sauce

Red mashed potatoes with garlic and cilantro butter sauce

Kombucha drink sweetened with fresh pineapple juice

      We will finish with:

Chunky Cucumber and mango salad in an apple cider vinegar and pineapple dressing with cilantro and parsley

Vanilla bean Almond milk parfait smothered in fresh blueberries and topped with Isigny Sainte-Mere a la vanilla de Madagascar whipped creme

Ice green tea with a dash of stevia and a hint of mint

      Nice job, W.

    704. Country Dick Montana says:

    705. Wes says:

      Thanks, Pitch.

    706. jason says:

I’m Bitterlaw and I approve this message”

When you officially start your campaign for Congress I might have some ideas for you that were successful in the campaigns I worked for in the past. This is not the right forum so we would have connect elsewhere.

But here is one thing that you might want to start thinking about. Successful campaigns usually have what I call a “hook”. Something that is not about politics or policy. Paul Wellstone drove around in a green school bus, which ended giving him much more recognition than any policy speech. Other candidates have distinctive slogans or ads, quirky signs, all kinds of “hooks”.

    707. Wes says:

Tg, I think Jason’s appalled rather than fascinated by your steady diet of rabbit food.

    708. jason says:

Tgca, I bet you couldn’t get 35 people to eat that garbage even if you offered them $100 each. Not even the homeless.

    709. Chicon says:

Bitter’s hook could be the sweater. Might be uncomfortable during summer campaigning, but sacrifices must be made.

    710. Country Dick Montana says:

“Bitter’s hook could be the sweater. ”

      Worked for Mr. Rogers.

    711. jason says:

Nah, no sweater and no “I support the 2nd Amendment but I don’t have a gun” either.

Bitter is running in a 2-1 Dem district.

He needs a really good hook.

    712. jason says:

Edamame and green bean casserole baked to perfection with a Parmesan and slivered pearl onion crust tossed in a creamy artichoke and garlic sauce”

You better get some of those airline baggies and put them around the house so people won’t vomit on your couch.

    713. Hugh says:

Thank God for Amy. Roberts is a jerk.

    714. Country Dick Montana says:

Roberts is part of the power structure. The 5%’ers and DEMS.

    715. Pitchaboy says:

      Edamame thing sounds great

    716. Chicon says:

Bitter needs to follow Robbie’s advice, whatever it is, in the general election. That’ll get Bitter up to 12%. If he follows Robbie’s advice in the primary, he’ll get squashed unless he runs unopposed.

    717. dblaikie says:

Wes I think you are wrong about one thing calling this menu “rabbit” food. The more appropriate term would be hippo food.

    718. jason says:

      That’ll get Bitter up to 12%. ”

He got 12% last time, we are much more ambitious now.

    719. dblaikie says:

I think Bitter should take a stand and go all in and die his hair orange. I bet Mrs Bitter would love that!

    720. jason says:

“Mrs Jadon is captivated with TGCA’s culinary skills and keeps nagging him for fabulous recipes that don’t involve lard as the base ingredient.”

Actually lard has made a huge comeback in cooking. For years it was hard to find in grocery stores but now they all have it.

Lard is healthier than butter and high in oleic acid.

“And compared to other fats (especially butter), lard is considered one of the healthier options of the group. It’s a single unprocessed ingredient which is as natural as it gets, and it contains zero trans fats. While it should still be consumed in moderation, lard has less saturated fat than butter and coconut oil.”

    721. Chicon says:

      747 – more than 12%? In the suburbs? For a Republican in the 2020’s? C’mon man……

    722. jason says:

Of course, I don’t believe lard should be consumed in moderation.

    723. Chicon says:

749 – moderation? What is that?

    724. jason says:

      747 – more than 12%? In the suburbs? For a Republican in the 2020’s? C’mon man……”

Yes, a candidate that doesn’t come close to having the qualities Bitter has and wasn’t even an A-hole got 33% in 2020.

And Bitter will be running as a quasi-Republican anyway.

    725. Cash Cow TM says:

      JeffP says
” swing states regarding using Dominion machines with no chain of custody. The write in ballot stuffing is another key component. Hundreds of witnesses across the same states. Remember that term chain of custody. You will hear it a lot in the next few weeks.”

When I was a calf, I used to run off, so Walt would lead me around with a chain around my neck.

He called it his “chain of custody.”

    726. Hippo says:

The more appropriate term would be hippo food.”

      Gag me with a spoon.

    727. Cash Cow TM says:

      HAPPY THANKSGIVING–

      to all the MOO-chachos here!

    728. Country Dick Montana says:

“And Bitter will be running as a quasi-Republican anyway.”

Maybe the sweater is a good idea. Not sure that Carthartts have the same cache in Chester County.

    729. Chicon says:

753 – add in that 2022 could be a red wave, and Bitter might have something. Will there be a new map?

    730. jason says:

When I was a calf, I used to run off, so Walt would lead me around with a chain around my neck.”

Walt has a lot of experience, he actually led the golden calf during the time of Moses too.

    731. jason says:

Will there be a new map?”

Unfortunately, while the R legislature can draw the map, Wolf has veto power.

    732. Bitterlaw says:

I just got a new transmission in my 10 year old Jeep. It has 150,000 miles on it. Gov. Wolf got elected based on ads with him driving a Jeep. It could work for me.

Might be better than me saying, “Nothing makes me happier than when a girl gets to third base and I wave her home.”

    733. Country Dick Montana says:

“Nothing makes me happier than when a girl gets to third base and I wave her home.”

With that slogan there is sure to be a sizable crossover from Biden voters. Joe might even endorse you. It might be worth a shot.

    734. Bitterlaw says:

I will run as what I am -a conservative Republican except I don’t care who anybody sleeps with. I will tell voters I am willing to listen to Democrats before I vote against their bills. I will also openly seek to be the coach of the House Republican softball team.

    735. Chicon says:

760 – PA looks to lose a congressional seat, so Bitter’s district is likely to change. They’ll look to draw him into a heavy Dem district out of fear.

    736. Country Dick Montana says:

“I will also openly seek to be the coach of the House Republican softball team.”

Given your your self professed success as a softball coach you probably will only get Establishment Republicans…they don’t seem to mind losing to the Democrats as long as they get to play the game.

On a serious note though, I think it is great that you work with kids and sports. I would have loved to and went to as many of my kids games as I could, but it is hard to coach from a rig in the middle of the Gulf or the North Sea.

    737. Bittterlaw says:

You can’t play basketball on an oil platform? They are big. Just don’t want the ball going out of bounds.

I coach for 2 reasons – I love it and nobody else wants the job. There are 80 players in the boys league and 50 girls in their league. In theory, that is a minimum of 130 parents. They needed me to coach in both because of a lack of parents who wanted to coach.

    738. Country Dick Montana says:

Coaching is a labor of love. And one where you are second guessed all of the time by those parents that don’t want to do what you do.

In some ways you bid for Congress is an extension of that. I won’t ridicule you for that.

    739. Bitterlaw says:

I once had a parent ask why her daughter did not play at third base more often. I said that she was really great at first base and I needed her there. I did not say that her daughter had the range of a rock, had a weak arm but could catch a ball hit or thrown right to her.
