A large majority of voters likely don’t know who DeSantis is. Yet Biden polls only 45%, and Harris polls only 43%, against him?

    3. Wes says:

This poll is about as relevant today as one with Boris Johnson as the GOP nominee.

      Maybe wait three years.

    4. Gordon Allen says:

Actually at this stage those polls are great for DeSantis, and poor for Biden/Harris.

    6. Phil says:

The President of the United States has 100% name recognition. He is polling 45% vs someone who has little name recognition outside of Florida. Please tell me how that is a good poll for Joe.

    7. Wes says:

It’s not, Phil. That said, I don’t see the point of presidential polling in Spring of 2021. We have three whole cycles to go before presidential polls have anything remotely resembling relevance.

    8. Phil says:

Yeah, agree. Polling is a complete waste of time three years out.

but lisa, you are not a woke republican, you are against illegal immigration, open borders, and blanket welfare for people running over the border

ah … that’s true … but once the woke republicans are in, those people will no longer be illegal

      soooooooo … woke republicans … socialists … same-same

(although, we socialists do tend to frown on the woke gope giving money to all their friends while destroying the middle class … but hey … close enough) 🙂

    13. Bitterlaw says:

My girls lost today 25-10. We only had 8 players and not the 8 you can depend upon. The other team was stealing bases in the last inning. Not cool. I don’t blame the players. The first base coach needs to chill up by 12 in a rec game. You should always coach your players to win. You should also coach them to lose with grace and win with class.

Where are Scooter and Wizz? Scooter knows the game. Wizz wouldn’t be raining 3s up by 30.

      I just saw that.

Very embarrassing that the chair had to step in and basically ask people to stop booing.

He could not help but claim he’s been a Republican all his life, like when he stuck his finger in the wind to see which way the wind was blowing as he ran on a pledge to protect a woman’s right to ABORTION in MA before he was against ABORTION.

      Shameful!

      Hey Bitter

So I went shopping today and bought myself a bunch of new clothes for FL – shorts and pullover shirts from Ross. I notice they had all these NBA shirts and shorts too for good prices.

I refused to buy any though.

I thought I’d just let you know so you can go and stock up on leisure ware.

    20. Phil says:

Austin (our Seattle/San Francisco) was forced to include a proposition on the ballot today making it a crime to pitch tents and basically live on the streets in Austin. The left wing mayor and city council of our most liberal Texas city had made it legal a year ago and tent cities, crime, feces in the streets, needle, public drug use have become rampant. The left is fighting hard against the proposition saying they are opposed to “criminalizing homelessness”…which is a bunch of bull. The Democraric Party has mobilized against passage led by Beto. Ben and Jerry have even bought local advertising against it. Governor Abbott and the Republican Party (what little there is in Austin) has come out in favor.

Results should be in soon. Liberal voters who control the city have to decide on their radical ideology vs do they want to watch the homeless take a dump in the middle of the sidewalk. Should be interesting.

    21. Tgca says:

It’s cute the way Bitter tries to elevate all his entourage as tough lil’ bishes.

These lil’ metrosexuals in training wouldn’t know what to do if they ever met a real ghetto person that would beat their privileged white a$$es into the ground if they ever raised a hand.

…in fact, not sure they even ever met a person of color. Radnor doesn’t have any minorities I hear …yet.

    22. SanDiegoCitizen says:

I spent a good part of the last year in Utah. Did not meet one Utah Republican who likes Mitt Romney.

The fact Romney walked off the stage after not being able read his speech says something. Have seen politicians who have been able to directly address a hostile crowd and do a semi-decent job of attempting a dialogue. Even if unsuccesful, the attempt often makes them look good.

    23. Bitterlaw says:

So girls are now metrosexuals? Damn. Tgca is not even close to the definition anymore.

…in fact, not sure they even ever met a person of color. Radnor doesn’t have any minorities I hear …yet.

      Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Another lie.

    24. Tgca says:

      23

Bitter is sooooooo behind the times and is not open to exploring the complete realm of metrosexuality beyond himself. It may be because he’s old and set in his ways.

It’s like those old gay men that still believe a gay man should sip tea with his pinky extended, wears silk neck scarves on every possible occasion, drink only fashionable cocktails, read entertainment magazines, and worship Judy Garland.

      So let’s EDUMACATE Bitter.

Girls can be metrosexuals too if they take on the characteristics of male, a.k.a. tomboy sports or are FTM transitioning. This was a topic of interest in the gay community some years back as the trannies started to become more prominent in society and categorized into different stereotypes.

Actually, many FTM take on the traditional effeminate men and GQ stereotypes while others prefer the more “butch” or “jock” look. I always found it a bit confusing why a FTM would choose to be more effeminate or fashionably oriented because it seems to defeat the purpose…but hey…sexuality is confusing with all the different genders out there so to each his/her own.

So as an old metrosexual, Bitter needs to get up with what’s in these days but we know that’s hard when you’re trapped in a privileged white community and never come across minorities unless you’re watching woke sports like NBA on TV while drinking Woke-a-cola.

    25. Bitterlaw says:

Behind the times? Irony meter explodes as Tgca thinks girls are tomboys for playing sports or that female athletes really want to be males. Pathetic and sad way of thinking.

Tgca musts makes all this bs up to make him feel like an expert when he is really just a lonely man wearing tight shorts and walking his little dog.

    26. Phil says:

Austin voters passed proposition b tonight reinstating bans on homeless camping in downtown Austin as well as banning panhandling etc.

Beto is sad tonight as is Mayor Adler and his merry band of Marxist city councilmen.

The vote was 59-41 percent. Apparently, even Austin voters, nutcases that they are, weren’t content to continue walking around in mounds of human excrement.

In another setback for the Marxist whack jobs, voters turned down a city council sponsored proposition providing taxpayer handouts of $50 that could be used to contribute to political campaigns – in other words, taxpayer funded vouchers to Austin residents that they could then hand over to progressive political campaigns. Cute idea patterned after the Seattle plan. Lovely.

Motto is Austin still needs more California, Seattle, Portland move ins to cement complete leftist insanity. Apparently, Austin still isn’t quite there yet.

Ben and Jerry, Beto, and the rest of the Texas Democratic Party have discovered that even Austin has limits. Give them another election cycle or two, however and they’ll get there.

    27. Tgca says:

Bitter projecting with his lonely man rant again.

The guy who claims he never leaves his house or does anything with others beyond hanging out with a bunch of 12 year olds.

The guy who is frightened to go beyond the comfort of his white privileged metrosexual neighborhood tries to mock others who traveled around for their career as opportunities arose which is quite common in corporate America for those that are SUCCESSFUL.

If only Bitter would get off the couch and stop supporting woke sports, he might realize there is a world out there beyond the NBA, woke-a-cola, and 12 year old metrosexuals in the making.

    28. Bitterlaw says:

Lawyers don’t travel from place to place around the country because we would have to apply to barred in every new state.

If you like have no place to call home, good for you.

Keep changing the definition of metrosexual every time I call you on it.

Add to your list of woes for the Left last night in Texas. In the TX CD-6 Special Congressional Election, two(2) Republicans will face-off in the runoff. The GOP candidates received 62% of the total vote. More satisfying is that the A. Kinsinger-L. Cheney supported candidate named Woods received 3% of the total vote and about 4.5% of the GOP vote. This wing of the Republican Party should commence updating their resumes.
In the TX Mayoral races, all GOP candidates prevailed except in San Antonio.

    31. Tgca says:

I have provided you links in the past that state metrosexual is beyond fashion. It’s generally about sensitive and effeminate men as well who are more in touch with their inner selves and behaves less manly but can also encompass more beyond that definition.

For you to suggest a FTM cannot be metrosexual shows your hateful bigoted stereotypical ignorance of what a trans MUST be in your limited view of the world outside your suburban white privileged racist town.

You are an ignorant metrosexual but still a metrosexual indeed, as metrosexuals can be condescending and bigoted towards other metrosexuals just like their liberal counterparts.

Clearly, you are not aware of the varying issues in the LGBT community because of where you live. If you were less ignorant and got out of your bigoted town, you would know that many in the LGBT community define themselves beyond the traditional definition you suburban white privileged folks look up on the internet, hence, the reason some claim in the LGBT there are many genders. Not that I agree with but at least I’m aware of their issues and viewpoints.

    32. Tgca says:

      28

Bitter must be linking to the Radnor urban dictionary for privileged white bigoted people frightened to leave the comfort of their community that can’t relate to minorities so it’s a dumbed down definition into smaller bites he can accept.

Here’s a more thorough definition of metrosexuality from the same source that pre-dates the source Bitter uses.

I count a number of these traits (especially 6, 7, and 8) Bitter effuses so the case for Bitter’s metrosexuality is growing stronger by the day.

when a straight guy acts gay
      a guy who:
      1. straightens his hair
      2. wears designer clothes
      3. listens to pop
      4. has a voice a little bit higher than the average male
      5. you would mistake for a gay, but is actually 100% straight
      6. someone who gets pissed off very easily (emotional)
      7. cries a lot
      8. hangs out with girls
      9. brags about hanging out with male friends
      10. goes to the mall a lot

Why you posting political junk here?

HHR is now a forum to discuss metrosexuals and being woke…and posters warring with one another for days on end.

Stop wasting our time with this unimportant political
      stuff please.

      Now…back to Bitter’s metrosexuality and woke-ism…

    34. Tgca says:

Here’s just one source on an in-depth discussion on trans and gender expression and explains the varying extents folks will go to fit in just as Bitter does with his suburban liberal woke metrosexual racist neighbors. There are other sources that take up the topic how FTM may take on qualities of metrosexuality.

Here is one passage from the source that is what we often define as metrosexual appearance.

In fact, going back to the early part of the 20th century, often, lesbians dressed in a manner emulating male fashion that we would define as metrosexual males today but that term had not yet been invented until Bitter burst into the Radnor scene.

A female-to-male (FTM) individual may wear a pressed oxford shirt and tie, dress pants and buffed shoes, and neatly trimmed short hair. In these cases, there is an intentional effort to send very clear, gendered messages to others.

      I think Bitter is a woke non-metrosexual.

    39. Wes says:

Sheep, the real test will be NM-1. If Republicans can come close in or outright win that district then all signs indicate 2022 will be a bloodbath.

    40. Bitterlaw says:

I think Tgca has a great story to tell about overcoming a very difficult upbringing. He is also a douche. Both can be true.

    41. jason says:

Communists are marching in Austin for May Day.

      Phil, are you there?

    42. Robbie says:

In 2017, I repeatedly made the case the underperformance of Republican candidates in the various House special elections was a warning sign that 2018 was likely to go badly for the party. That turned out to be the case.

Now, the same has to be said about the Democrats. Their performance in the TX6 special election was atrocious and is a clearly signal, a bright flashing red light, that they’re in trouble in 2002 in the House. Without Trump on the ballot and Biden in the White House, the “resistance” energy was gone.

Another key point will be the special election for the House in New Mexico. A Republican won’t win that seat, but the margin will likely be much closer than it should be and that will be another warning sign for Democrats.

    43. Phil says:

You can always look at retirements and special House elections as clear indicators of the next election. Republican indicators for sure so far. No doubt.

Unfortunately, Democrats will spend much more than Republicans. Their money is unlimited and will swamp Republicans – corporations and billionaire donors. Their media lapdogs will frame the issues and lie like dogs during each news cycle, and they will rely on ballot haresting and the same electoral tricks they used in 2020.

I put Republican chances in the House at 50-50 at best – maybe 40-60.

    44. jason says:

Zzzzz…. the other Biden troll, aka Amoral Scumbag, pretending to want Rs to win in 2022.

As we get closer, he will start whining about the candidates and their campaigns and then predict, as usual, the Dems will win everything.

The moral compass of a floating turd.

    45. jason says:

That turned out to be the case”

Amoral Scumbag always predicts “things will go badly”, or “worse than expected” for Rs, so by the law of average sometimes could be “right”.

In a character contest, sewer plant scum would beat Amoral Scumbag 100 times out of a 100.

    46. Phil says:

“as we get closer he will start whining about the candidates and their campaigns”

      Yep

    47. Wes says:

Phil, with Biden on the ballot and Trump sporting the worst favorables for a sitting President in over a quarter century, Dems lost a dozen House seats last year.

They had all the things you mentioned working for them too.

To say Republicans have a negative chance of winning the House next year overlooks a number of things.

    48. jason says:

I think Rs can win the House if HR1 doesn’t pass AND they can make some of the voting laws that are being passed stick.

The redistricting should net them a few seats, and there will be some retirements too in competitive seats like Cheri Bustos yesterday. Reuters described her as a “moderate” Dem, you can’t make this sh-t up.

But a R caucus that wouldn’t remove Liz Cheney from the leadership isn’t a R caucus worth voting for.

    49. jason says:

Without Trump on the ballot and Biden in the White House, the “resistance” energy was gone.”

Amoral Scumbag still repeating this garbage?

The “anti-Trump” candidate got 3.5%. The Trump endorsed candidate got the most votes.

Let’s see how many Rs in 2022 run against Trump.

Comrade Bernie shrugs off criticism from James Carville with a snarky insult and defends Bitter, Radnor citizens, Dems, LeBron and other “wokesters” that are tearing our country apart with this insanity.

The fact that Carville, a lefty is coming and criticizing Dems and the likes of Radnor citizens, and all other “wokesters” tells you how far this insanity has gone.

It puts pressure on Manchin and Sinema to get HR1 enacted and/or end the filibuster.

    73. Tgca says:

      71. Nah!

I read that yesterday but decided to give Bitter a break for the weekend.

But it’s Monday and the start of a new week so I think it’s time to pile on Bitter for being woke and contributing to the earnings of the NBA and Woke-a-cola so they can degrade and insult us even more.

    74. jason says:

I think Cruz was talking directly to Bitter here, when he says “grow a backbone”.

“Saturday on FNC’s “Watters’ World,” Sen. Ted Cruz warned about the dangers of so-called “wokeness,” which he said was buoyed by support from corporate America.

“[I] think wokeness is trying to destroy America, and we’re seeing whether it’s the corporate media or big business, we are seeing woke corporations that are engaged as the political enforcers of the radical left, and are trying to silence or trying to cancel. They’re trying to punish American citizens, and I think it is profoundly dangerous,” he said.”

Host Jesse Watters asked the Texas Republican what the proper course of action should be to combat that trend. Cruz urged the GOP to “grow a backbone” and refuse money from those corporate entities.

“Look, we’ve got to grow a backbone,” Cruz replied.

I wonder when Cindy McCain is leaving AZ for San Francisco or NYC.

I guess because Mac is dead and she’s not on the political cocktail parties circuit list anymore, she seeks attention and relevance by snuggling up to the libs in the MSM, that incidentally mocked and demeaned her husband and suggested he was “ not right in the head” during his presidential run in 2008 and subsequent criticism of Obama.

I did nor realize old privileged white racist rich ladies were so lonely they’d hop in bed with the lowest of the low – the radical left MSM.

Must run in the family since her daughter does the same.

    77. Tgca says:

      75

To be fair, he was not only talking to Bitter, but to all citizens of Radnor as they work very hard to be awarded:

Obama’s cash slam ‘offends’ me, says Cindy McCain
      |
      Aug 30, 2008 at 9:00 PM

ST. PAUL – Cindy McCain to Barack Obama: Stop picking on us because we’re rich.

Republican John McCain’s beer-heiress wife says Obama went too far in mocking her husband as out of touch with average voters’ economic concerns in his nomination acceptance speech last week.

The money she inherited came from hard work, she said.

“My father had nothing. He and my mother sold everything they had to raise $10,000,” Cindy McCain told ABC’s “This Week” in an interview to air Sunday. “I’m proud of what my dad and my mother did and what they built and left me.”

Cindy McCain’s parents got rich off a large Arizona beer distributorship. Obama’s campaign has mocked McCain for not knowing how many homes the couple owns: seven.

McCain’s wife, who files taxes separately from the Arizona senator, reported earning approximately $6 million in 2006. Her worth has been estimated at more than $100 million.

While Cindy McCain professed to be “offended by Barack Obama saying that about my husband,” Team Obama retracted nothing Saturday.”

    79. Bitterlaw says:

Jason knows I oppose cancel culture. I opposed removing the statues of the Confederate traitors even though they should never have been erected. I am not woke and there are no posts to prove the allegation that I am.

I have not bought any Eagles clothing

    80. jason says:

Bitter has surrendered to woke culture and is still mocking those who oppose it.

“I don’t think it is on the boycott list”

Ted Cruz WAS speaking to him.

“I think wokeness is trying to destroy America, and we’re seeing whether it’s the corporate media or big business, we are seeing woke corporations that are engaged as the political enforcers of the radical left, and are trying to silence or trying to cancel. There are no posts to prove the allegation he is “not woke.”

    82. Bitterlaw says:

82 Jason’s excuse to twist what I say is that he speaks 27 languages but English is not in the top 5.

Tgca’s excuse is that he was educated in Newark.

    84. jason says:

There are no posts to prove the allegation he is “not woke.”

      And hundreds proving he is.

    85. Bitterlaw says:

Basic sentence construction – I am not woke. What comes after that is a reference to the unproven allegation that I am woke.

Jason claims that there are hundreds of posts that I am woke but he still can’t produce one.

    86. jason says:

I have already listed dozens of them. The game you play is whenever I do so is to say that is not woke.

    88. Tgca says:

Bitter’s attack on Jadon and my character is typical of white privileged racist liberals like Joy Behar who find contempt in minorities that don’t agree with them on their “wokeness.”

I find these attacks hurtful and demeaning and don’t understand why Bitter has to behave this way. Why can’t he just accept facts on his “wokeism” as we are only trying to help him through his confusion.

I can only surmise that he is being indoctrinated into the white privileged racist metrosexual woke community of his fellow neighbors in Radnor so he can “fit in” and seek their approval.

I heard it is a statistical fact that no minority has ever lived in Radnor and are only allowed in the town between 7AM and 6PM to labor for the Radnor privileged white folk.

    89. Tgca says:

      86

      I understand what you said.

There are no posts to prove the allegation you are “not woke.”

Huh, sorry Liz, what a crock of crap.

Look at how civil, respectful and dignified the attacks on Donald Trump were.

Look at how civil, respectful and dignified the attacks on “Uncle Tim Scott” are.

What a useful idiot for the Dems.

    94. Tgca says:

      Geez!

    95. jason says:

You forgot contributing to earnings to the NBA and “woke-a-cola” so they can use those earnings to advertise against conservatives as racists, promote Antifa and BLM causes assaulting conservatives and burning down cities, and donations to radical left politicians.

Thanks for tuning in and drinking “woke-a-cola.”

    101. jason says:

When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.

      Until then, no free lunch.

    102. Phil says:

Damn right, Wes. I’m up to here with Liz. The fact that she’s still 3rd in line among the party leadership is an absolute disgrace. It’s another reason I am no longer a Republican. There’s not a day that goes by anymore when she doesn’t spew this crap. Enough.

Kind of like what Jason said yesterday. Why would I want to fight for a Republican House caucus that refuses to remove someone who has such blatant disdain for the base? She goes out of her way on a daily basis to give us the finger.

    103. Tgca says:

      OMG! These are fighting words.

Texas County Party Chair Dem Gary O’Connor calls Tim Scott an “Oreo.”

I also condemned removing statues of Confederate traitors who shou have been hanged for treason.

So we should be good now. GFY

    105. jason says:

Since you are so certain, what do you claim I support?”

      Woke sports.

“I don’t see woke messages in the end zone because the Eagles don’t score”.

What a lame and stupid excuse.

      Nikki Haley

When she shamelessly pandered to BLM by the asinine “If you don’t feel my pain you are a racist” you came to her defense by saying “the video was horrible’ as if that justified her pandering. Not only that, you implied I was a racist because I was offended by being called a racist.

      Pat Toomey

When this guy rushed out to disenfranchise your vote and push for the election of the most left wing administration in History, you had nothing to say. But when he came up with his knee jerk reaction gun control bill to criminalize legitimate gun owners, you rushed here to defend it as “just about background checks”.

You are afraid to take a stand and always want to see which way the wind is blowing in Radnor.

I call that supporting woke culture. You can call it what you want.

    106. jason says:

I also condemned removing statues of Confederate traitors who shou have been hanged for treason.”

      Wow.

      How not woke of you.

    107. jason says:

Kind of like what Jason said yesterday. Why would I want to fight for a Republican House caucus that refuses to remove someone who has such blatant disdain for the base?”

I am sure Bitter opposes getting rid of her.

You have to find common ground, you know.

    108. Bitterlaw says:

What a lame and stupid excuse.

It was a joke and you know it.

Do you disagree the video was horrific? Sad. I thouyght better of you. However, once again you interpret rather than rely on posted words.

When this guy rushed out to disenfranchise your vote and push for the election of the most left wing administration in History, you had nothing to say. But when he came up with his knee jerk reaction gun control bill to criminalize legitimate gun owners, you rushed here to defend it as “just about background checks”

Zzzzzzzzz. I said the election was stolen.

You are afraid to take a stand and always want to see which way the wind is blowing in Radnor.

Zzzzzzzzzzz. Is somebody else here posting from Radnor? Let me know and I will invite them to breakfast at First Watch so I can take a stand.

    109. Phil says:

The video was indeed horrific. So what? That’s justification for Nikki lecturing me on how I should take it personal? Really, bitter?

I didn’t do anything, but according to Nikki I’m somehow supposed to take it Personal. She’s full of it and, no, how “horrific” it was doesn’t justify her telling me how I should feel.

    110. jason says:

Do you disagree the video was horrific?”

      I never watched it, remember?

But why are you defending Nikki Feel My Pain or You are a Racist Haley?

    111. jason says:

I said the election was stolen.”

Yep, and your “conservative” hero Pat Toomey not only said it wasn’t, he was not even interested in making sure the vote of his constituents mattered. Two days after the election he was already touting the MSM narrative “no evidence of fraud” when he knew it wasn’t the case.

    112. jason says:

The video was indeed horrific. So what? That’s justification for Nikki lecturing me on how I should take it personal? Really, bitter?”

Just one more post where Bitter takes the “woke” position.

If you don’t think like everyone in the MSM, you must be a racist. That is what Haley is saying, and that is what Bitter is agreeing with.

    113. jason says:

Is somebody else here posting from Radnor?”

There must be if you can’t be critical of blatant pandering to BLM.

    114. jason says:

Bitter is ok with woke sports and ok with woke corporate America and ok with woke Nikki Haley and ok with woke Pat Toomey and ok with woke Liz Cheney.

But he is not ok with woke culture.

I hope it is clear now.

    115. jason says:

      My offer stands.

“When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.”

    116. jason says:

Note: being opposed to tearing down statues is not opposing woke culture. It is opposing a small part of cancel culture.

    117. Bitterlaw says:

So no post where I defended Haley or Toomey, either? Damn, jason. You really need to do better. A-holes are held to a higher standard.

“When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.”

Which you will will never accept unless I stop watching sports and drinking soda.

    118. Bitterlaw says:

Note: being opposed to tearing down statues is not opposing woke culture. It is opposing a small part of cancel culture.

      Ma! The goalposts are moving.

    119. jason says:

      Ma! The goalposts are moving.”

They sure are. Statues are cancel culture. As you probably noticed, I think you support woke culture.

A-holes should be held to a higher standard.

    120. jason says:

Which you will will never accept unless I stop watching sports and drinking soda.”

Speaking of “finding posts”, have you ever found one where I said that?

    121. Dylan says:

Please tell me Liz Cheney will be primaried and we don’t have to hear from her anymore. Anyone?

    122. Bitterlaw says:

Part of you allegation that I support wholeness is because I watch sports and drink offending soda.

    123. jason says:

Part of you allegation that I support wholeness is because I watch sports and drink offending soda”

      No.

You support woke sports and woke corporate America by your statements here and by mocking those that oppose them.

You minimize the detrimental effect on our culture and history, claim nothing can be done about it, deny that there is a penalty to be paid for lower viewership/sales, and pretend that “voting” will reverse it.

You incessantly attack anyone who opposes this kind of thinking.

So while you defend this point of view, I will call you woke.

You can choose to whine about it or live with it.

      No free lunch.

    124. jason says:

Trivializing the whole woke issue by making it about watching the NFL or drinking soda shows exactly why you deserve to be called woke.

    125. Bitterlaw says:

You minimize the detrimental effect on our culture and history, claim nothing can be done about it, deny that there is a penalty to be paid for lower viewership/sales, and pretend that “voting” will reverse it.

Nothing can be done about it BY ME by not watching a game and not drinking soda. I absolutely know that NOT VOTING will not reverse it.

So while you defend this point of view, I will call you woke.

You can’t even admit you either lied when you said Never Trump or did not know the meaning of the word Never. Be honest. If I checked off all of your constantly changing boxes, you will NEVER stop making up the lie that I am woke and support cancel culture.

    126. Phil says:

I don’t know that bitter is woke. More like oblivious to it,…just like he is oblivious to the border situation….or his position on the filibuster into February. More like he just doesn’t understand ramifications. More naive than anything else.

    127. Tgca says:

Bitter is right viewing history through his 21st century glasses of those in the 19th century.

It doesn’t matter that 258,000 southerners fought in the Civil War and were killed by their northern brothers because they could not agree on slavery, independent state rules, etc.

Looking at history 160 years later, context of the times does not matter. These IGORENT southern hicks were racists and got what they deserved and should have known at the time they were wrong and changed their ways so statutes in their honor should never have been erected and should come down.

It’s not like they had the great character and compassion for AA like the great founding fathers Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Franklin, Hamilton, etc…that owned or supported slave ownership and memorialized their worth of less than a whole human being in the Constitution.

Their statutes should remain standing and routinely cleaned and polished for the great men they were four score before the south’s traitorous revolt.

That being the case, Bitter’s excellent logic dictates we should now revisit the 20th century and view it through the context of the 21st century too.

The US should tear down the WWII memorial because it represents a symbol of war and destruction that the US brought mainly to Europe and Asia, and it is horrifying that the US continues to note the relevance of and celebrates VJ Day every August after brutally and needlessly slaughtering over 100,000 innocent Japanese in act of racism.

America should accept its shameful behavior of its atrocities of death and devastation in the 1940s.

…and don’t even get me started on the Spanish-American, WWI, Korean, Vietnam, Iraq wars because by 21st century logic, the US should never had behaved so atrocious during those times either…context of the times does not matter.

Tear down all US war memorials!

They are a blight on America.

    128. jason says:

You can’t even admit you either lied when you said Never Trump”

      LOL

      That is all you got?

That I was Never Trump in 2016 campaign and voted for him in 2020?

      That is lying?

Nah, lying is calling me a religious bigot, lying is saying I told you not to go to mass or drink soda or watch the NFL. Lying is denying you defended Nikki Haley and Pat Toomey.

      My offer stands:

“When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.”

    129. jason says:

Nothing can be done about it BY ME by not watching a game and not drinking soda”

Trivializing the whole woke culture again by pretending it is about you drinking soda and watching woke sports?

    130. jason says:

      More naive than anything else.”

      He is not naive.

He just fears being judged by people he shouldn’t worry about judging him.

    131. jason says:

Bitter, I am not your enemy here. I consider you my friend. I probably agree with you on most issues. We have fought many battles here on the same side.

But because we don’t agree on the danger this whole woke movement poses to our culture and history, you have chosen to call me a religious bigot and imply that I am a racist and to blatantly keep repeating the same lies over and over about what I said. You incessantly mock me because I oppose woke culture.

You can post another 1000 posts lying about me, I will respond every time.

If you don’t think you are woke, you should have no trouble taking my offer and ending this argument:

“When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.”

Calling me a racist bigot won’t end it.

    132. jason says:

      Normal

    133. Phil says:

‘But because we don’t agree on the danger this whole woke movement poses to our culture and history”

That’s what I mean by naive. The fact that bitter minimizes concerns about wokeness and is generally oblivious to the ramifications of the woke movement is exactly what I mean by naive.

    134. Tgca says:

I think when PA splits into two states, it will be like North and South.

Eventually strong disagreement will lead to brothers taking up arms against one another as we’ve seen in countless wars.

That’s why war is so sad and often hard to argue an absolute right and wrong because it depends on perspective. It turns otherwise brethren and friends against one another as opposed to real evil doers like Hitler.

    135. Tgca says:

I see the upcoming conflict in PA sooner than not.

I can see General Jadon from the State of Greater PA riding into battle on his trusty llama Lupita leading his Amish and uneducated working class men clinging to their guns and Bibles to meet in battle with General Bitter and his metrosexual cavalry of adolescents and suburban housewives in their electric vehicles and SUV hybrids with sworn allegiance to wokeness, armed with their iPhones tweeting up a storm as they both approach the border of the State of PittPhilly for the woke showdown of the 21st century.

    136. Bitterlaw says:

But because we don’t agree on the danger this whole woke movement poses to our culture and history, you have chosen to call me a religious bigot and imply that I am a racist and to blatantly keep repeating the same lies over and over about what I said. WE DO AGREE ON THE DANGER. IT IS A DANGEROUS THREAT TO OUR HISTORY AND DEMOCRACY THAT IS EQUAL TO THE PROPOSED CHANGES IN VOTING LAWS. WE DISAGREE ON MY PERSONAL ABILTY TO END IT. I RESPECT AND SUPPORT DESANTIS BECAUSE HE IS TAKING ACTIONS THAT ARE FAR BEYOND MY ABILITY TO CHANGE ANYTHING UNLESS I AM ELECTED. THIS STARTED BECAUSE YOU ACCUSED ME OF WATCHING WORKE SPORTS AND TGCA SAYING I DRINK WOKE-COLA AND INTERPRETED THAT TO MEAN I AM SUPPORTING AND ENDORSING IT. I WATCH SPORTS AND DRINK SODA DESPITE THE WOKE BS AND NOT BECAUSE OF IT.

      GFY

Oh no! Say it ain’t so!

Bill and Melinda calling it split after 27 years.

She briefly worked for MS where she was a marketing manager and he was…well…Mr. Microsoft.

Clearly her company benefits worked out well for her, as she will no doubt have no issues funding her retirement.

      https://nypost.com/2021/05/03/bill-and-melinda-gates-announce-they-are-getting-divorced/

    139. Tgca says:

      140

      Oh rubbish!

I am not implying anything about you is evil, as I do not think that at all.

      Take a chill pill dude!

I just merely acknowledge your current preference of companionship, other than staying home tending to your flowers and sweater collection, like Mr. Rogers, you spend quality time with your adolescence entourage.

There is no intent of malevolent labeling here.

You see this at the university level too where many professors establish a deeper bond with their younger students that they have more in common with then others in their age group outside the university setting.

You are doing a great service to your local community mentoring the next generation of liberals and metrosexuals.

I commend your community spirit and selfless act to the woke cause.

    140. Bitterlaw says:

Pure lies, Tgca. Even “companionship” implies predatory behavior. You claim to be a badass street fighter but can’t even admit what you are really saying.

    141. Tgca says:

      138

I think I’m starting to better understand your viewpoint below on your wokeness now that you’ve SCREAMED it at us. Sometimes you gotta just “Get Loud” like Jennifer Lopez to get your point across.

It’s sinking in now though so no worries.

It’s incidental that you support wokeness with your consumer allegiance that assists them to earn more money to criticize and attack conservatism.

      Got it!

I think you mean it’s like buying drugs from drug dealers not to promote their beliefs but instead to just be their consumer so they then thrive and expand their drug services to others.

I WATCH SPORTS AND DRINK SODA DESPITE THE WOKE BS AND NOT BECAUSE OF IT.

    142. Bitterlaw says:

You used to be just a clown. Now you accuse me of being a predator. There really is no depth to which you won’t sink.

    143. Tgca says:

      143

No. You’re missing my point and expressing emotional over-sensitivity; one of the metrosexual traits previously noted in post 32.

I see nothing wrong with you hanging out with adolescents if that is the level you find your intellect and maturity aligned best for at this time.

I had an 18 year old uncle with learning disabilities who attended a special school whose best friend was a 10 year-old neighbor. They got along great and it worked for them.

Friendship should not be defined by age, race, gender, or personal beliefs.

Some people like to hang with old people, some with those their age, and some with younger folks.

      Ain’t no big deal.

You got an entourage of adolescents. I have an entourage of one dog. It’s all good!

    144. Bitterlaw says:

Lisab has routinely called me a mentally ill failure. Although she has no issues with AOC and her extensive and highly relevant bar tending experience serving in Congress, lisab condemns me as unqualified to serve. However, despite all of this vitriol, she never accused me of being a predator.

Tgca is alone in this most vile allegation.

    145. Bitterlaw says:

I know that Tgca can not comprehend an adult trying to assist a young person for any reason but selfish or evil motives. It makes me sad to know his upbringing has left him so damaged that he thinks this way.

    146. Tgca says:

      145

OMG! You are totally misinterpreting my posts.

When I was in my 30s, I used to frequently spend time volunteering with folks in their 70s and 80s. We would spend hours talking about life experiences and historical events from the 1930s thru 1970s. We’d enjoy good laughs too. I knew one guy close to 90 that loved telling me jokes. I thought they led such interesting lives in an era long forgotten that I found fascinating.

I found it very rewarding and refreshing and different from those in my own age group, and felt a kinship to them until this day though they’re all gone now.

I felt these people that were 40+ years older than me enjoyed the companionship just as much as I did, and I suspect your friends 40 years younger than you probably feel similar towards you.

      That’s a good thing.

    147. Bitterlaw says:

My “friends?” Another code word for your vicious allegations. They are not my friends. They are children and my only interaction with them is to serve as their coach.

    148. Tgca says:

      147

      Oh Jesus, Jose and Maria!

See post 32 for dramatic behavior by metrosexuals please.

I DISAGREE you are mentally ill…just a bit f*cked up and lost maybe but that’s normal being from the Sewer State.

I DISAGREE you are a failure because success comes in many forms. For example, per your posts, your wife is successful at her chosen career and you have a successful marriage of which you are a major contributor…good things in my view.

I AGREE you are more qualified than AOC for Congress…and even more qualified than Biden for POTUS but clearly less qualified than Trump for POTUS.

I DISAGREE you are a child predator.

    149. Tgca says:

      151

      Feel all better now Bitter?

      Should we hug?

… virtually of course because Dr. Fow-Chee has not yet approved humans embracing yet unless they’re wearing a CDC or W.H.O. approved hazmat suit…

…and even then only briefly before immediate chemical wash sterilization.

    150. Bitterlaw says:

You said what you meant without having the guts to say it directly and honestly. I don’t believe in redemption. You called me a predator. Own it.

    151. Tgca says:

      153

No! I never said you were a child predator. Show me that post please.

I think you are totally exhibiting metrosexual and woke behaviors but not child predator.

If you can’t find such a post, then I demand you apologize to me for spreading “fake” posts or I will report you for melodrama.

    152. Bitterlaw says:

If I accused you of being a chicken hawk you would have every reason to be outraged. I have never accused you of that because such an accusation can never be taken back. Your slurs against me for “hanging out” with “adolescent friends” are just very thinly veiled vicious accusations that I am a predator.

    153. Gordon Allen says:

Real Cat fights are more interesting than this endless bickering. It’s pretty clear who everybody is by now.Real “stuff” is going on in the meantime.

    154. jason says:

Gordon is way too superior for bickering. His gated community has a “No Bickering” sign on the gate.

    155. jason says:

Isn’t Bitter just a bit too sensitive being called a predator?

Isn’t his argument that he doesn’t mind hours upon hours of being called a racist because he isn’t one?

Didn’t he imply I must be a racist because I don’t like being called a racist by Nikki You Have to Feel My Pain or You are a Racist Haley?

I guess what is good for the goose is not good for the gander.

    156. jason says:

Just for the record, nobody called Bitter a predator.

    157. Bitterlaw says:

Isn’t Bitter just a bit too sensitive being called a predator?

Too sensitive? I consider abuse of children on the same level as murder.

    158. Tgca says:

      155

I would not offended if you called me a chicken hawk because I know it’s not true.

      I’m a vegetarian!

Weren’t you the one who said accusations that are not true don’t bother you like when folks call you a racist?

Why you getting all bothered by this silly drama you manufactured?

I suspect it’s because Jadon is not around to argue with you on 300 posts in one day so you’re trying to make hay over nothing as an excuse to argue with me when I simply just come here and mind my own business and keep to my pathetic lonely old self.

      Slow day at work today?

    159. Bitterlaw says:

Just for the record, nobody called Bitter a predator.

      BS.

I felt these people that were 40+ years older than me enjoyed the companionship just as much as I did, and I suspect your friends 40 years younger than you probably feel similar towards you.

“FRIENDS” IS CODE FOR TARGETS/VICTIMS. COMPARING COACHING CHILDREN TO A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ADULTS IS SICK.

you spend quality time with your adolescence entourage.

AGAIN SAYING THAT MY PLAYERS ARE MORE THAN CHILDREN TO ME

Tgca also said I like “hanging out” with adolescents.

Jason – Are you so desperate to have an ally in your attacks on me that you will pretend that Tgca is not casting me as a predator with his very carefully chosen words?

    160. Tgca says:

      161

As an abused child, I would disagree that child abuse is equivalent to murder. It is not!

Child abuse is awful and vile but one can generally get on in life and learn to live with a childhood of abuse, especially since in times past and in certain areas today, child abuse is more common than people may believe.

      Murder is final! Permanent! Finito!

Ain’t much worse of an outcome than that though I agree the act of being abused, torchered, and murdered in the moment may vary in severity and pain but the outcomes are definitely different.

    161. Bitterlaw says:

Weren’t you the one who said accusations that are not true don’t bother you like when folks call you a racist?

Are you serious? You see no difference between being called a child predator and a racist? There is no crime worse than abusing children.

    162. Bitterlaw says:

Sexual crimes against children murder souls. Victims may “get on” in life but their lives are never the same or what they could have been. I would think a “victim” would be an EXPERT on that.

    163. Tgca says:

When I was a 12 year-old, a fireman named Bill in the fire station next to my building befriended children in the building and we often chatted with him outside. He was in his 60s and a very kind man that told us stories and made us laugh. He retired and I moved away…or should I say…we got evicted for not being able to pay the rent.

We considered him a friend. He never did or said anything appropriate. Every now and then I think of him and realize what a good decent man he was and funny too.

I bumped into him a few years later when I was like 17 and working in a restaurant evidently nearby his house, and he was retired and we had a nice friendly reunion. Again, kind gentle friendly man and nothing inappropriate.

It’s not my fault you think morbid thoughts about everything and everybody.

It’s your distrusting suburban Philly indoctrination I guess.

    164. Bitterlaw says:

It’s not my fault you think morbid thoughts about everything and everybody.

You are the one who accused me. Own it.

Interesting that you did not describe Bill as having an adolescent entourage or “hanging out with adolescents.” You said “We considered him a friend.” However, you turned it around with me to say “I suspect your friends 40 years younger than you probably feel similar towards you.” See the difference. In your example, children considered Bill to be their friend. In your post about me, you have ME making the children MY friends.

Your meaning was very clear even if jason feels a strange need to cover for you.

    165. Tgca says:

      166

Agreed! But many learn to manage it and have a satisfying life. I’m not saying everyone has to pick themselves up by their bootstraps like racist White privileged people in Radnor would proclaim but there is some degree of responsibility of learning to live with your experiences and deciding whether to let it ruin your life or forge forward to grow beyond it.

Many people in failed relationships also go on to live a tortured and miserable life, that they otherwise see not worth living too so abuse and it’s impact on people come in many forms. My mother is an example of a miserable, unhappy wretch that would never let herself or others find any happiness because she would not try to look forward and always wallowed in self- pity.

I was fortunate that my experience led me to otherwise grow up and become a perfectly well-adjusted NORMAL person loved by all who encountered my kind, caring, loving, sweet, gentle, witty, intelligent, good-looking, hot, humble being.

    166. Tgca says:

      168

Bill had a mixture of his friends in his age group, as well as younger that he surrounded himself with. I recall him also having the camaraderie and respect of his peers at work as well as other adults in the neighborhood.

He was a well-liked and respected man by all as far as I know.

You claim you do not socialize with anyone and only leave the house to go to your baseball games or flower shows where you drag your wife to.

    167. Tgca says:

Bitter’s logic reminds me of the white woman on the street upset that a black guy glanced at her because she knew what he had on his mind. RAPE!!!

Actually, I had an aunt by marriage, hideous looking with Eleanore Roosevelt protruding teeth, but without the sense of community and intellect, who did not like coming to our neighborhood in Newark when I was a child because she feared she would be a victim of rape or assault by black men.

She was one of the most IGORENT white trash racist Sewer State people I evah knew but that’s what happens when you get knocked up out of high school and then steal your 17 year-old daughter’s 22 year-old boyfriend when you’re in your mid 30s and move in with him after your husband finds out and tosses your sorry a$$ onto the street because while he’s working and your daughter is in school your banging her boyfriend in the bed you and your husband share.

    168. Tgca says:

      166

Sexual crimes against anyone can wreak havoc on their life and change them forever. Sexual assault against anyone should evah be minimized simply due to age.

Try telling a 40 year-old handi-capped rape victim that their sexual assault crime is less than that of a 14 year-old sexually assaulted and see what response you get.

Stop drawing lines in the sand. Sexual assault is sexual assault no matter the age because those being assaulted are generally not prepared for or expecting it.

    169. Tgca says:

      Enough with sexual abuse now.

Let’s discuss something more cheery and pleasing please.

Are your flowers blooming as expected this spring?

    170. jason says:

Are you serious? You see no difference between being called a child predator and a racist?”

      Ahhh.. I get it now.

You don’t mind being called a racist because you aren’t one.

But you do mind be called a predator even though you aren’t one.

      Consistent.

    171. jason says:

Jason – Are you so desperate to have an ally in your attacks on me that you will pretend that Tgca is not casting me as a predator with his very carefully chosen words?”

I don’t have any ally, Tgca insults me as much as he does you, just different memes.

But no, he didn’t call you a sexual predator.

    172. Bitterlaw says:

But no, he didn’t call you a sexual predator.

He did. I quoted his exact words where he accused me of an unnatural attraction to children. You are as dishonest as he is now.

    173. Bitterlaw says:

You don’t mind being called a racist because you aren’t one.

But you do mind be called a predator even though you aren’t one.

      Consistent.

Want to play that game? Ok.

When did you stop molesting your children?

    174. Bitterlaw says:

      That shouldn’t bother you, right?

    175. Bitterlaw says:

No big deal to be falsely accused of heinous acts, right?

      GFY and your buddy, Tgca.

    176. jason says:

I have nothing to do and never involved myself with this metrosexual BS.

But here is Tgca’s direct quote:

      Tgca says:
      May 3, 2021 at 7:05 pm

      153

No! I never said you were a child predator. Show me that post please.

I think you are totally exhibiting metrosexual and woke behaviors but not child predator.”

    177. Tgca says:

      175

I’m tired of all these accusations on my good character.

Now I’m accused of insulting Jadon because I made some factual statements about the LaRaza pimping, illegal immigrant supporting, swine-slaughtering, tofu hating, Dr. Fow-chee lackey, obese, mental midget with 800+ cholesterol. REALLY?

Please provide one example of an insult. Just one!

I’m outraged over these fake posts.

One can get more honesty from Nancy “let ‘em eat ice cream” Pelosi tweets than posters here at HHR.

    178. jason says:

Bitter, nobody here thinks you a sexual predator or that you engage in any heinous acts.

      You need to chill out.

    179. jason says:

Now I’m accused of insulting Jadon because I made some factual statements about the LaRaza pimping, illegal immigrant supporting, swine-slaughtering, tofu hating, Dr. Fow-chee lackey, obese, mental midget with 800+ cholesterol. REALLY?”

With “allies” like that, who needs enemies.

    180. Tgca says:

      179

      GFY?

Is that the same as congratulatory response: “Good For You!”

    181. Tgca says:

      177

      Oh come on man…

That’s over the line now. You’re personalizing it.

No one here would believe you sexually abused children and no one here believes Jadon molests his kids either just like no one here believes Robbie really wants conservatives to win elections.

      Give it a rest! Geez!

…though I recall that Jadon did state in one recent post that any accusations of him and Lupita were unfounded because she is over the legal age of consent for llamas which is two.

    182. NYCmike says:

      Tgca,

The way you wrote what you wrote about Bitterlaw was over the line.

And the fact that jason doesn’t see that, once again, shows his character is like Robbie’s, not quite one that insists on Truth…..I wish he would stop sinking to Robbie’s level.

    183. NYCmike says:

I would also say that Bitterlaw being pissed about being accused of being a predator but not worried about being called a racist is quite odd, as jason pointed out.

    184. Bitterlaw says:

What is so odd about it, NYC? Everybody is called a racist these days. It is an allegation devoid of meaning. Being called a predator is to be accused of something truly evil. Is everybody accused of that?

    185. Bitterlaw says:

Tgca knows what he was saying. But he got caught so he will deny it.

Not worth any more posts with him.

    186. NYCmike says:

I agree, being called a predator is truly terrible, and I think Tgca is wrong to write what he wrote.

But, being called a racist is not “devoid of meaning” these days, as many innocent people, mainly Republicans and conservatives, are having to deal with such accusations on a daily basis, and the time, money and effort it takes to fight the WOKE MOB is not always available to each person falsely accused.

Eventually, maybe you will step back and appreciate what jason, along with many others, has been saying since the election, and before, without minimizing those statements/feelings/observations.

    187. NYCmike says:

      Cheers, and Good night.

    188. Tgca says:

      186 NYC

No. I am not calling him a sexual predator. He’s off his meds if he believes that I seriously believed that. I would not even give him the time of day if I seriously thought that.

I am mocking his supposed maturity level and his inability to surround himself with adults while lecturing and mocking us here on our views. I’ve noted this a few times. He mocks others with various innuendos but doesn’t always like it when someone else pushes his buttons.

My posts are laced with absurdity purposely to mock and not character assassinate so that any rational person should be able to surmise that just like I accept absurd mocking made towards me by others which has no basis in truth.

It’s a man eat man world here Bitter likes to remind us but then gets all prissy when we hit back.

He actually accused me of hiding a secret sometime ago with innuendo about kids, and I laughed it off just liked I did in the past or debated others on past gay slurs directed at me when certain posters here would get mad and tell me to go get some young boy or similar defaming comment.

So I suggest you go back and read the history in this and other threads the last month or so to see the trend of comments.

Bitter is just being metrosexually melodramatic today and all this feigned outrage over mocking is ludicrous.

    189. Tgca says:

      189

I got caught doing nothing but pushing your buttons but you’re too dramatic and stoopid to see the irony and purposeful absurdity in the mockery…and making it something it’s not with feigned outrage. You sound like you’re part of the Squad in Congress.

…and please don’t whine to me about how awful it is being called child sex predators, as gay men have been called that for hundreds of years, and in serious context too not only in mocking. Past medical and psychological opinions by so-called professionals have alluded to that trait in gay men when most sexual predators tend to be middle-aged Caucasian men statistically.

    190. Bitterlaw says:

Stop with the denials. I will never believe them,

    191. jason says:

Man up Bitter. Nobody thinks you are some kind of pervert, predator, or sex offender.

      Let’s get real.

You can go back to being offended at being called woke.

      Predator? No.

    192. Tgca says:

      194

      Well then we’re at impasse.

If you find perceived truth in the absurd mocking then it is legitimate for us to say we don’t believe your Woke denials either because your actions speak louder than your words at this point and your words mean nothing.

      Deal?

    193. Wes says:

Former Governor Oompa Loompa–he with the political positions of the consistency of a weathervane–will challenge Ron DeSantis for Governor of Florida next year.

    194. jason says:

Oh that was just a mild misunderstanding.

Nothing compares to the 9 day cat fight between my ally Jadon and my good friend Bitter last month from April 4th thru April 12th.

    199. Tgca says:

      Your words not mine.

Jadon post 32 on April 14th at 8:54AM

      What about Lupita?

Will she throw you under the bus too?”

Llama’s age of consent is 2.

      GFY.

    200. jason says:

I hear the Radnor country club Republicans have petitioned the Biden administration to ensure the space junk doesn’t mar any perfectly manicured golf courses and instead fall on the deplorable areas to the east where all it will do is kill some cows and maybe a llama.

    201. jason says:

      What about Lupita?

Will she throw you under the bus too?”

      My ally….

    208. jason says:

Tgca is an a-hole with a small a.

Here I am having a nice civil 2000 post 6 month discussion with Bitter about his wokiness and here comes Tgca and distracts Bitter with this faux predator BS and gets Bitter all discombobulated and in a perfect snit hissy fit conniption about it.

    209. jason says:

And the fact that jason doesn’t see that, once again, shows his character is like Robbie’s, ”

      -Bans Ballot Harvesting
      -Prohibits Electioneering on Election Lines
-Bans Private Funds from being used to administer elections (Ex. Zuckerberg)
-Prohibits SOS or Governor from making emergency changes to election laws

These changes are excellent. I hope the movement grows.

Passing such legislation via budget reconciliation rules would require a simple majority vote in the Senate, rather than the filibuster-proof threshold of 60 votes required for most legislation. 245. Cash Cow TM says:

According to the Washington Post, there are potentially seven Democrats giving up their seats in the House.

The latest to announce her departure is Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-Ill.), the former head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, who proclaimed her coming retirement Friday after narrowly winning reelection in a rural district along the Mississippi River that supported Donald Trump.

Rep. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.), who has been exploring another possible gubernatorial run, put out word Saturday that he would be making a “major announcement” this week, potentially putting at risk his St. Petersburg seat, where he ran ahead of President Biden in 2020.

Two other accomplished battleground incumbents — Reps. Filemon Vela Jr. (D-Texas) and Ann Kirkpatrick (D-Ariz.) — announced their plans to leave earlier this year, joining Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), who is giving up a closely-contested seat to run for the U.S. Senate. Several more in competitive areas, including Democratic stars like Rep. Conor Lamb (D-Pa.) and Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) are also seriously considering runs for higher office later this year.

Not only did the GOP candidates get 62% of the vote in TX-06 (a district in which Trump only got 51%), but voters in a Dallas suburb voted 70-30 to reject the “anti-racist” school curriculum that the local school board was pushing. And the GOP did pretty well in mayoral races, too. Maybe Texas suburbanites’ fling with the Democrats was merely a reaction to Trump and they’ll return to normal in 2022.

REPORTS: GOP House leadership to back Elise Stefanik over Liz Cheney

    316. Wes says:

      Let’s go back to 2018:

That year, I was saying Republicans needed to triage Barbara Comstock early even though I liked her because the seat was a lost cause while Republicans needed to reroute resources to cheaper, more winnable congressional districts.

As I was making this case, Jason was jerking off with a series of not very compelling arguments telling us why the GOP need to continue to pour money down the rathole of Comstock’s erstwhile CD–including hilariously calling her opponent a C-lister.

Well, sadly Jason’s singular brand of idiotic allocation of resources won out. Republicans not only lost Comstock by a 13-point margin but also lost several much cheaper CDs to campaign in by slender margins, thus proving I was right.

Now Comstock is defending Liz Cheney–for whom I’ve had nothing but contempt ever since she carpetbagged back to Wyoming to try to declare the state’s Class 2 Senate seat her birthright.

On the one hand, I can understand where Comstock is coming from. Donald Trump was a Venus-sized millstone around her neck in 2018, and in the press conference that triggered my declaration that Trump was a political Dead Man Walking, the former President sleazily attacker her and other defeated Republicans by name after their losses. Naturally Comstock will align herself with one of his detractors.

On the other hand, Liz Cheney represents the worst of the GOP and needs to shut her mouth about him and focus on the deleterious effects of the Biden agenda. Comstock shouldn’t be parroting this narcissistic popinjay even if the former Congresswoman has a legitimate gripe with Trump.

Cheney isn’t helping things. Comstock is doing nothing to rehabilitate herself, the VAGOP, or the national GOP by aligning with her.

    317. Phil says:

Liz (or Lynne or whatever Nancy chooses to call her) can now crow to everyone about how she has the Pelosi seal of approval. Somehow, I just don’t think that has the bang with Republican voters that Liz thinks it does. Lol

So one has to ask, what is Liz’s game with all this Trump bashing I’m standing up for democracy BS she spouts on a day to day basis? It’s clearly finishing her in the party.

      Theories?

*Liz is so insulated in the swamp bubble she doesn’t realize how out of touch she is…as evidenced by her announcement to bring in Jeff Flake to campaign for her.
*she realizes she’s toast with the Republican Party and is now just using her Trump bashing to cultivate favor with the MSM left and is angling for a gig with the CNN MSNBC crew ala a Nicole Wallace/Joe Scarborough type of thing.
*she’s so eaten up with hate for Trump and Trump supporters she can’t help herself.

I’d say a combination of all three. Regardless, it’s long past time to kick the b*tch to the curb and that is what is going to happen.

    318. Phil says:

Wes nailed it with regards to Chenney. She is an arrogant, self centered narcissist and any Republican who chooses to align with her is a fool.

    319. Bitterlaw says:

“When you start taking a stand against woke culture and recognizing how detrimental it is and stop mocking those that oppose it I will say you are not woke.”

I already have taken a stand against woke culture and recognized that it is detrimental. I mock everybody about everything so that requires very selective editing.

    320. Wes says:

Elise Stefanik is a team player not aligned with the Bush-Cheney wing of the GOP who will work to build and expand the House GOP Conference rather than fight outmoded fights with a defeated President.

I’m glad House Republicans will back her against that blot on Wyoming’s escutcheon.

    321. Phil says:

BTW, anyone followed Boehner’s twisted book tour to every left wing outlet from Colbert to Morning Joe? This was the Republican “leader” in the House?

    322. jason says:

I already have taken a stand against woke culture and recognized that it is detrimental”

      Where?

      Must have missed that.

    323. jason says:

BTW, anyone followed Boehner’s twisted book tour to every left wing outlet from Colbert to Morning Joe?”

      No.

But maybe Bitter can give us a report as a public service.

    324. Sheeple,Jr. says:

      #326- Bitter
Let’s assume that you are a GOP Congressman in the current Congress. Would your vote for leadership go to Cheney or Stefanik? Why?

    325. Wes says:

I actually don’t mind what Boehner is doing, Phil. Even when Fox News was the liberal bogeyman of supposed conservative indoctrination, liberals would go on FNC to hype their books.

    326. Phil says:

I believe The caucus stuck with Liz believing if they agreed to stick with her she’d in turn move on and STFU up about Trump and January 6th. Instead, she decided to go on every left wing talk show she could find and talk down to every Republican out there with her condescending arrogant, holier than though BS. Those that stuck with her feel knifed in the back…because they were.

    327. Tgca says:

So Liz Cheney is trying to help the GOP win back the House in 2022. Really?

Let an EXPERT provide a simple analysis why she must go ASAP.

Right now, the MSM, and the left, including Speaker Pelosi are hailing Liz as a hero, a person of great virtue, and someone who refuses to tow the line unlike the rest of the GOP House that support election 2020 lies, someone not beholden to Trump.

Liz’ role in the House GOP leadership is responsible for helping win back the House in 2022 for the GOP.

However, she has given the Dems a great opportunity to defend keeping the House in Dem hands and a good story for why the House should not be trusted to the GOP because they are towing the line for Trump, and that only 10 house members, led by the courageous Liz are willing to speak the truth while the rest of the GOP lies.

I can see the Dem campaign ads now featuring Liz in a selectively edited video as a beacon of truth against GOP members supporting insurrection on Jan 6th responsible for the deaths and attempted assault on members of Congress never before seen in 200+ years.

Why would you want to elect the GOP to lead the house where by their own leadership members, the vast majority of the GOP House members are lying?

So what Liz has done by her actions is given the Dems an issue to campaign on against the GOP en masse.

She is causing division, distracting from 2022 GOP messaging, and assisting Dems to make a case why not to elect GOP to the House majority.

This is why Liz is a liability to the GOP and should be removed from a leadership role ASAP.

This is my EXPERT opinion and is beyond challenge, of course.

    328. Phil says:

I get that, Wes but his constant “the Republican Party is crazy” nonsense he is spewing at a time when the Biden Administration is pushing their radical BS down the throats of Americans? I have zero use for him. Just what we need now….another “Republican” useful idiot making the rounds.

    329. jason says:

      Regarding Comstock 2018.

I was not optimistic she would win, but I didn’t think the GOP should completely give up on her either, especially since as wes admits, she was a pretty good candidate and the type of GOP’er you want in VA rather than the Stewarts and Amanda Chases, and also the fact she had been given up for dead in 2016 and won.

As we can see from election results, the GOP cannot completely give up on NOVA and still expect to win state wide elections.

As for wes’ comments on Comstock now, I completely agree. She is backing the wrong horse and doing nothing for herself, the VAGOP, or the national GOP.

    330. jason says:

Boehner is not going to sell a lot of books to conservatives.

      His best bet IS liberals.

    331. Wes says:

Just remember, Tg, long before her current spate of nonsense, I was saying Liz Cheney had no place in Congress, much less the House leadership.

    332. jason says:

xLet’s assume that you are a GOP Congressman in the current Congress. Would your vote for leadership go to Cheney or Stefanik? Why?”

Bitter would make a thoughtful decision and vote present.

Ma, it is raining cats and dogs, maybe that is why we aren’t catching anything.

    333. Phil says:

You weren’t just right about Chenney, Wes. In the bigger picture you were right about your opinion of W. The Chenneys are just an extension of that sliver of the party.

    334. Wes says:

Jason, dumping millions of dollars into that race did nothing for Comstock in particular or House Republicans in general. She was a liability through no fault of her own, and giving up on her in a cycle when Donald Trump and Corey Stewart tagteamed to make her reelection an impossibility would actually have been the best thing to do. When an incumbent with no scandals or controversies loses by double digits after spending close to eight figures on a race, nothing can be done to salvage the election.

    335. jason says:

I actually agree with Liz Cheney on foreign policy, and I think the GOP needs people who aren’t isolationists and are willing to defend the interests of the US around the world and its alliances.

For that reason, I have supported her in the past.
She is actually more conservative in her votes than Stefanik, voting with Trump over 90% of the time vs. about 77% for Stefanik.

But now she has completely gone off the rails, she wants to be seen as the anti-Trump icon, and she squandered the ‘reprieve” she got from the caucus.

It is almost like she wants to martyr herself.

    336. jason says:

jason, dumping millions of dollars into that race did nothing for Comstock in particular or House Republicans in general.”

Can’t argue with that. If I had known she would lose by 13 pts I would have agreed with you. I thought it would be closer.

    337. Tgca says:

People who are nonchalant to the woke culture mind as well be out there rallying for it, as actions speak louder than words.

What we are seeing today is similar with the rise of the Nazi party in a Germany and their tactics in the 30s. Slowly they took over gubbermint, media, universities, science, and all other major areas of society to push an idea to raise their beliefs, to claim to do justice for their society for the benefit of the whole, and to ruin and eliminate a selected group from society.

That is what is happening in the US with the radical left, MSM, Big Tech, and the education system. It is a concerted effort to push a movement where a select few will decide what others can believe in by decree. They are using gubbermint to accomplish that task.

This is the real danger of wokeism. Look how drastically this movement has progressed in less than 5 years and the many lives it has already destroyed.

You cannot say your against wokeism but then support their source of funding that allows them to further gain momentum to spread their division and hate.

Jadon is right. If you really don’t support wokeism, you don’t consume their services and products.

You can’t have it both ways.

You either support it or you don’t and one can twist themselves into a pretzel all they want explaining this away but perhaps if the German people had the knowledge and courage of REAL anti-woke folks today, Nazi Germany could have been avoided.

    338. Phil says:

‘She squandered the reprieve she got from the caucus”

….and to do that you have to be a arrogant, condescending ass. Think of her as a Corey with a House seat.

    339. Bitterlaw says:

xLet’s assume that you are a GOP Congressman in the current Congress. Would your vote for leadership go to Cheney or Stefanik? Why?”

Stefanik or somebody more conservative. The election in 2022 has to be focused on only one issue – fighting the Biden/Pelosi/Schumer agenda. Cheney made herself the focus.

    340. Tgca says:

      338. Wes

I agree. She has always been an opportunist of the liking of Hilary, especially when she swooped into WY and tried to unseat a sitting GOP Senator with daddy’s name and also publicly humiliated her sister for being gay that led to a family public squabble.

Now you may disagree with me but history has also shown her dad and GWB may have been less than openness, honesty, and intentions with folks regarding the Gulf War that goes to their character and credibility yet she has the arrogance to question others leadership character.

    341. jason says:

Jadon is right. If you really don’t support wokeism, you don’t consume their services and products”

My position is a little different.

I think everyone should consume products and services they are comfortable with.

But it is wrong to say things like viewership and sales don’t make any difference. They do. Maybe less now with woke CEOs who might believe woke shareholders don’t care.

I have no doubt Coke curbed their wokiness because of a net negative reaction.

    342. Wes says:

You guys should check out the RRH subthread on Liz Cheney. A fanboy of hers is accusing her detractors of reading Dem talking points. Others are responding by pointing out that’s exactly what Cheney herself is doing.

      Disagree.

I would give my ally Jadon some leeway on “Never” because he has accepted he was wrong in hindsight on Trump in 2016 with regard to being electable or suitable for the presidency, and he has stated that many times.

Whether one uses the desired words of some like “wrong, sorry, mistaken, etc” are not important. What’s important in context is that they had a change of heart and came around.

Unfortunately some want to beat others into the ground and attempt to humiliate them, as if they themselves have never had a change of heart on an issue. It is a bullying tactic often used by the woke crowd. Submit now or we’ll forever target you with our petty attacks.

To refuse to acknowledge that folks have “come around” is small-minded and petty.

Remember, the concept that “to err is human, to forgive is divine” seems to escape some here.

It’s part of the woke culture to wish to continue to harp on the past when progress has been made. That is why woke folks tend to be unhappy and miserable, because whining about the past is all they have to cling to unlike some of us who instead cling to our guns and Bibles.

Now I grant you my ally Jadon has not made much progress with “NUANCED” yet but that’s a discussion for another day.

    367. Tgca says:

      Ha!

Dr Fow-Chee preemptively thrown under the bus by Biden admin…just in case.

Host Anderson Cooper asked, “Is herd immunity still the goal of the administration? Because, as you know, Dr. Fauci, among others, have sort of backed away from using that term as a benchmark.”

White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain said last night the Biden administration has been advised by Anthony Fauci that herd immunity is “ a phrase that doesn’t apply here to this particular virus and this circumstance.”

“I think that I’ll let Dr. Fauci comment obviously on the science of that. What he’s advised us is that it’s probably a phrase that doesn’t really apply here to this particular virus and this circumstance.”

So what they’re really saying is Dr Fow-Chee tell us…

      …blah! blah! blah!

So if it’s good, we agree and Biden saved lives
If it’s bad, go see Dr. Fow-chee …he’s the expert who recommended what we do.

    368. jason says:

It is always useful to come here and get the latest about Dr. Fauci from his Official HHR Spokesman, Tgca

Whatever Fauci says, or whatever the MSM says he says, Tgca will instantly breathlessly regurgitate it here. Only Amoral Scumbag could post some MSM negative on Trump faster.

But no, he does not elevate Fauci to Covid God, perish the thought.

    369. jason says:

    370. jason says:

      -FREE TRADE?”

So what is the message here?

If one US company gives aircraft part drawings to China there should be no free trade with China?

NYC hasn’t had anything so brilliant since he backed a ridiculous 50% reduction in LEGAL immigration that never even came up for a vote in the Republican caucus.

    371. jason says:

I know you’re older and limited in movement due to your IBS, inflammation, 800+ cholesterol, and decades of poor eating habits so I figure I’d be an ally and assist you in this woke matter chit.”

      Thanks man.

    372. NYCmike says:

#379 – Yup, looks like we found some “NUANCE” that jason agrees with…….his arms must be getting tired from digging so much!

    373. NYCmike says:

“NYC hasn’t had anything so brilliant since he backed a ridiculous 50% reduction in LEGAL immigration that never even came up for a vote in the Republican caucus.”

-Hmmmmm…..I backed a bill with many provisions, which had that 50% number as one provision……and would have been open to amendments from all Senators, so that number could have been modified if needed, to get more support.

Pretty sure Cotton & Perdue would have accepted a status quo on the number of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS, in return for the other provisions, WHICH JASON SUPPORTED!

Once again, jason shows what a real “deadender” is……a person who will ONLY VOTE for 100% of what he wants, or he will take his proverbial ball and go back to digging.

    374. jason says:

I was told anything under 1000 was ok for cholesterol, but I guess I will defer to the expert.

    375. jason says:

and would have been open to amendments from all Senators,”

Really? So how come there were no “amendments”?

Pretty sure Cotton & Perdue would have accepted a status quo on the number of LEGAL IMMIGRANTS,”

Wow, how “big” of them, that would have been one heck of a concession….the status quo!

NYC must be a heck of a businessman, he gives people “concessions” on what they already have.

    376. jason says:

Now George P. Bush sent me an email and wants money to fight Biden’s agenda.

    377. Phil says:

Yeah, that’s what the Bush family is all about…..fighting the Biden agenda. Lol

    378. Bitterlaw says:

I’m a bully? Tgca is not really from New Jersey if he thinks I’m a bully.

    379. NYCmike says:

“Really? So how come there were no “amendments”?”

-You can’t have amendments if the Majority Leader doesn’t let it come to a vote.

You know full well that bill was a winner with the voters.

The issue was Big Business interests, and unfortunately the leaders of the Republican Party are still foolish enough to think that the Party and Big Business are common allies. They have demonstrated that quite clearly with how they handled the Georgia voting rights law, as well as the laws passed in other states.

    380. NYCmike says:

“They have demonstrated” – they is Big Business, and they are NOT allies.

    381. Bitterlaw says:

NYC still hates LEGAL immigrants? It must be his fear that another Jason will become a citizen.

Liz Cheney has now entered the world of Obsession when it comes to the January 6th riots and Donald Trump.
Here she repeats the same Talking Points she has used for months. Basically, Orange Man Bad.
Second, she uses the Washington Post, a DNC affiliate, to memorialize her grievances.
Third, Cheney now has Paul Ryan on her side. So the 2012 GOP Presidential ticket–Romney/Ryan– is now anti-GOP!

Her conclusion is that without the likes of her, Ryan, Romney, Bush43 etc, the GOP is dead.

The only thing that is deceased is her poltical career.

Nah, you can’t have a vote when the majority of your own caucus understands a 50% cut in LEGAL immigration is not going anywhere.

I even stopped voting to see if that would help but it is not enough.

    386. jason says:

Liz Cheney doesn’t understand the WAPO is not really her friend and is just using her as a pawn to divide the R party?

      Geezus.

    387. jason says:

To be fair to George P, he supported Trump and has not gone woke.

It’s funny, but the Bushes are actually trying to destroy George P’s career, which seemed bright.

    389. Tgca says:

      392

      Wow!

      She is tone deaf!

      She sounds desperate.

Polls consistently show that about 70% of GOP feels the 2020 election was stolen due to shenanigans in certain Dem counties that narrowly gave Biden an electoral victory nationally.

Her response is “you’re all a bunch of stoopid Trump sychophants under his spell and can’t think for yourself and I’m trying to save you from yourself so if you don’t listen to me, the party is forever doomed you damn idiots.”

This elitist rich snob who rode her daddy’s coattails to political relevancy is now insulting the party because they’ve turned against her because she’s made it personal with Trump and team and won’t do her job and focus on trying to win the House back instead of trying to bring Trump down is now trying a last ditch pathetic effort to insult the vast majority of the party by aligning with the radical left and MSM to attack the GOP base that are using her as a useful idiot.

She is going the route of Ryan, Romney, Flake and has not learned any lessons from them, forever tarnishing herself as a spiteful out-of-touch failed opportunist.

    390. jason says:

      Bitter hardest hit.

“The poll also indicated that by a 60%-33% margin, Georgians oppose American companies trying to influence political, cultural, or social change.

“If you’re a corporation and you take a stand on one side or the other, you’re going to isolate a huge segment of the population. That’s why corporations have been loathe to do that, but it’s happening now,” noted M.V. Hood, director of the University of Georgia’s School of Public and International Affairs, which conducted the poll.”

    391. Tgca says:

After reading about Liz Cheney, I’ve decided I’m gonna take lessons from her arrogance and ignorance and failures, and take the high road and create an opportunity to bring the HHR community together to put an end to this non-stop immature bickering and unwarranted personal attacks because we can be better than that here at HHR.

So whether it’s Bitter being in denial about being all woke and metrosexual, or Jadon lacking the intellectual capacity to understand what Nuance or Never really means or his unyielding adulation of Dr. Fow-chee, or Robbie’s disdain for the GOP for not electing another Bush, or LisaB’s misunderstood approach at expressing her empathy and coaching for other posters, I plan to be magnanimous and try to do my part to bring us all together and unify HHR as a place of expression of intelligent political thought in a respectful manner.

I hope in all sincerity this post resonates with those that see in spite of their shortcomings, I will do my best to use my EXPERTise to bring the narrow-minded thinking here by many towards more rational and intelligent viewpoints like mine so we can unify and get beyond this constant bickering.

    402. jason says:

I think it is very possible DeSantis could win by 9.

Crist looks like he will win the primary, and he is a horrible candidate. The far left moonbats don’t trust him, and he will be uninspiring to the black and Hispanic voters.

His announcement to run basically consisted of “DeSantis did a bad job on COVID, vote for me”, not only a lie but will be completely outdated by 2022.

    403. jason says:

If you can’t take my advice then GFY and f*ck your llama too you LaRaza pimping swine – slaughtering Dr. Fow-chee worshipping mental midget POS!”

Now THAT is the HHR spirit!

For a second there I thought Tgca was going woke.

      What a relief.

    404. Phil says:

DeSantis looks strong in Florida. Part of this is because DeSantis is a Trump like candidate as far as fighting back. He doesn’t sit back like most GOPers and let the left define him. He’s articulate and isn’t afraid to get his message out. Also, Florida is one of those rare states that is trending red. The Republican Party nationally is headed to the dumpster heap of history. Think the present day California Republican Party on a national scale as America becomes a one party nation….but in at least three states – Florida, Ohio and Iowa the Republicans are actually holding their own.

      Autocorrect is truly disturbed.

    411. Tgca says:

I’ve seen some commentary that Dems should strategize to cross over to vote for a Cheney in the primary just to help her in the primary win. I’m not sure of the current rules in WY but quick initial search states they have open primary and anyone can change their party status on the date of the primary.

Not sure if enough Dems would be energized to make that switch to ensure she gets the primary nod but my concern is if a bunch of folks enter the primary on the GOP side, then they could dilute the vote and she could squeak out a win in a candidate loaded primary, and then be more emboldened, especially spitefully so if she is removed from the leadership.

But on the other hand, I’m not sure she would want to be a CongressCritter if she has no power and feels isolated since clearly her entire MO has been to consolidate power running on her daddy’s fortunes over time to be some future GOP diva. If she decides to be a thorn in the side of the GOP as a continued CongressCritter, they could ensure she is not assigned any plum committee roles either and really isolate her.

She will have to decide if she really wants to be part of the GOP in a non-leadership role where she will be despised by many, just shut-up and legislate as she told, or to quit. Changing parties or running as an Indy in WY will not help her long-term.

If current polls are to be believed, 65% of WY voters disapprove of her and only 14% would vote to re-elect her. This puts her in the same position as her ALLY Flake from AZ was in when he decided not to seek re-election because it looked like he was a sure loser.

So will Liz go out like Flake and do the occasional left wing shows to try to remain relevant or will Liz suck it all up and try to reimage herself over the next few years by getting back to work and keeping her head down a la Lil Marco after his devastating humiliation in the FL primary in 2016?

      Time will tell critters.

    434. Bitterlaw says:

Hit a nerve, Phil? You still haven’t predicted the 2020 Democratic nominee for President despite being so certain about several of the ones who did not get it. Good luck in 2024.

    435. Bitterlaw says:

No free lunch. Your absolute predictions suck. Stick with “perhaps” predictions.

    436. Phil says:

      Lol

Sorry, bitter. Worry about your own credibility. You lost it with your idiotic “just man up and vote” stance on the filibuster. Face it. That one even topped the “don’t worry about the border, Illegals will be voting like the Irish’’ clueless drivel.

      So yeah, no free lunch.

    437. Wes says:

Um, Phil, even as Republicans lost PA last year, they picked up two statewide offices and held the Legislature, even expanding their majority in the State House.

That’s scarcely “not winning a thing” since Trump carried the State in 2016.

    438. Wes says:

    441. Wes says:

I would advise giving consideration to a bet though, Phil.

    444. Wes says:

Fair enough. St. Jude’s in my case too.

Want to make a bet on NC-Sen too?

    445. Wes says:

The leftist FLSC ran Florida in 2018 and 2020. It didn’t help the Democrats win anything.

    446. Phil says:

Nope. I never wager against you on a NC race. You have a track record. Lol

    447. Phil says:

You have to admit, Florida is a whole different ball game. All twelve million votes were counted by 11. Pennsylvania? Well, we all so how that was conducted.

    448. Bitterlaw says:

Phil – Keep making absolute predictions. I feel calm after you do because I know you will be wrong. I’m still not sure how a history teacher can be so wrong about history. In your world, there is no way that my entire family and my Jewish wife voted for Trump. Maybe the Democrat gene mutated in us.

I would caution Wes and Phil to wait until they see who the PA Senate candidates are. On the Dem side is the whacked out biker Fetterman and a shut down everything doctor – Valerie Arkoosh. The only candidate I have heard about for the GOO is a conservative Black woman – Kathy Barnett’s.

    449. Bitterlaw says:

      Barnette

    450. Wes says:

Phil does frequently miss with his absolute predictions, Bitter, but Pitchaboy is my favorite contrarian indicator on here.

He’s been wrong on every prediction since 2010 and last year after the elections declared Democrats would gain in both houses of Congress next year.

That makes me even more sure Republicans are in for a great night in 18 months.

    451. jason says:

I am willing to bet Rs don’t win the PA senate race.

In any case the Dems will outpoll the GOO party.

The article says some of the assaults on 13 and 14 year old girls occurred at “sleepovers” at the coach’s house and on trips on his boat.

Not that it justifies anything, but what parents allow their 13 year old daughter to sleep over at a 30 yr old single guy’s house and unsupervised trips on his boat.

    457. Bitterlaw says:

The parents should be charged as accomplices. The coach needs to be attacked every day in jail.

    458. MikeKS says:

Yes, despite what others say, DeSantis is Reagan. He is a strong conservative, governor of a huge state, unquestioned conservative credentials, and willing to speak the truth.

Zzzzzzzz. The North Jersey Beaches don’t exist unless you count the port city of Elizabeth. Even impoverished Tgca would not have gone swimming in the Raritan Bay. Start at the Raritan Bay and go south. Those areas voted red except for AC and 2-3 tiny towns.

    490. Tgca says:

      Wes

I don’t know why many northeasterners have so much disdain for the south. I guess they’re insecure bigots.

I’ve been to the southern states many times, passing through, visiting, on business, and I find much to like about them. I’ve been to NC, SC, AL, MS, TN, GA, VA, WV, AR, LA, TX and find different things to like about them, especially the landscape. I think KY is the only southern state I’ve not yet been to.

All states have areas that can better themselves to some degree but overall, I think the southern states have many attractive qualities that attract people to live there.

I find southern accents appealing and not insulting either though some can be stronger than others depending where one is from but how is that different than the string accents from northern NJ or NYC?

Being against southern accents is a bigoted trait. It’s like saying I don’t like the way black people sound or Latinos sound. I suspect that bigotry is routed in the racist upbringing of some to think that way.

I find the people in the south, on the surface, more pleasant and much nicer and friendlier than northeast folks from northern NJ and NYC area.

So don’t fret over northeast bigots that try to put down southerners because of the way they look or sound. I think it’s their insecurity and bigotry.

    491. Tgca says:

      503

The Raritan River is paradise compared to the polluted Passaic River surrounding Newark where I grew up so get your ghetto facts straight or you look stoopid.

As for the the Jersey Shore, yes, it’s true that the residents there are not like the northern NJ and Philly filth, but these northern area filth infest the south Jersey beaches in the summer time and make it rancid.

I prefer to go to the Jersey shore in the fall when all the scum is gone.

    492. Bitterlaw says:

I find the people in the south, on the surface, more pleasant and much nicer and friendlier than northeast folks from northern NJ and NYC area.

Key part of that sentence – “on the surface.”

Wes knows many things but apparently thinks that the Palisades and the parts of New Jersey on the Hudson River are beach towns.

    493. Tgca says:

      506

      Sorry. I forgot to add:

People on the surface in northern NJ and NYC are arrogant bigoted, materialistic, liberal phonies who think they are better than folks outside their areas.

I always found it funny that folks in north NJ and NYC where a lot of filth, crime, and extreme poverty exist think they are better than others.

    494. Bitterlaw says:

I don’t know why many northeasterners have so much disdain for the south. I guess they’re insecure bigots.

I can only speak for myself and I have stated the reasons many times:

      1. The weather. Brutal heat and humidity from May through September. Only 3 seasons – Spring, Summer and Fall.

      2. Fake friendliness.

      3. Awful accents.

      4. Awful history.

    495. Bitterlaw says:

I am not better than anybody. I am sure that we can all agree on that.

    496. Wes says:

All of your points in 508 can be summed up in one word, Bitter: bigotry.

    497. Tgca says:

      509

Summer in Philly and NYC is much worse than the open air in the southern states. Add to that the rancid smell of garbage, smog, and the impact of homeless.

Most NYers who live in FL agree with me that summer in NYC is much worse than FL in the summer because the big concrete cities retain heat and very little air movement and the smell is horrendous.

I worked in NYC for 6 years so I can attest to this. I also avoided Philly in the summer for similar reasons. Even in the nicer Philly areas like Center City, it wreaks of garbage walking on the streets in the summer.

    498. Bitterlaw says:

A preference for 4 distinct seasons is bigotry? Who knew?

    499. Wes says:

      Ahem, Bitter:

stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one’s own.

    500. Wes says:

Irony Meter explodes as Wes, a man who blames people who did not vote for Senator Menendez for accepting his crimes, accuses me of being narrow-minded, biased, and discriminatory.

I do not want to live in or visit the South. You don’t want to live in the Northeast. Applying your standards, Wes, you are also a bigot.

    504. Bitterlaw says:

You can’t argue plausibly you’re not something when you meet its dictionary definition, Bitter.

Maybe you could explain that concept to Tgca and his stupid accusation of me being metrosexual when I do not meet its criteria except for being a heterosexual male.

So, why are you so bigoted against the Northeast?

    505. Wes says:

The difference between us, Bitter, is that while you can’t wait to spew bile about the South, I don’t highlight problems in the Northeast at every turn. You started this with the story about the SI Swimsuit Edition. I merely responded in kind.

    508. Tgca says:

It is a bigoted statement to categorize people in a demeaning fashion by their dialect or tonality and inflection of their geographical speak which altogether reflects to what is commonly known as their accents.

If it is ok to demean southerners because of their accents, then it should be ok to demean Latinos, Haitians, and AA for the way they speak. EVERYBODY in today’s society knows that is bigotry in those cases so by extension, it is bigoted to comment similarly on southern accents.

I am not talking about slang or butchering grammar here which is fair game because that has to do with education and historical language appropriateness. I am talking about accents.

You degrade southerners for their accents and that is bigotry.

If you did that at most companies, you would be disciplined or fired.

    509. Tgca says:

You exhibit certain traits of a metrosexual that go beyond fashion but you are too IGORENT to admit it. I have provided you documented lists on this before from articles and urban dictionary but you twist yourself into a pretzel denying what metrosexuality can embrace.

You are an overly sensitive man, or at least you portray yourself as one here. That is a strong indication of metrosexuality.

You go to flower shows. I have never known a straight man from the northeast that goes to flower shows. NEVAH!

    512. Tgca says:

      508

…and your comment implying southerners being polite or nice on the surface is a sign of being fake is ludicrous.

I have lived and traveled all over the US and people generally outside the northeast urban areas are polite and nice when they meet others because it’s the decent way to behave. I have found this to be the case in south Jersey, the Midwest, southwest, Canadian border areas, and many parts of CA as well so it’s not a trait limited to southern states.

Since when did manners become being fake?

Again, that’s an IGORENT view of the world.

Elite and snobbish NYers and northern NJ are much more fake in my opinion with trying to act all hardened and tough because they live next to some high crime and poverty areas which they tend to avoid like the plague.

    513. jason says:

I disagree with the statement that people in the South are only “superficially more friendly”.

People in Texas are a lot more friendly that people in PA, not only superficially.

Go to visit their annoying in-laws.
      Even go to therapy together.

But I have never known an urban area straight man admit to going to flower shows. I suspect most real men would drink a gallon of prune juice and feign stomach virus sitting on a toilet all day before going to a flower show.

But I get it! Seems like you enjoy that and that is fine if it’s what your into. Another metrosexual trait.

…and stop blaming it on your wife dragging you to flower shows kicking and screaming.

BLM skank founder overjoyed that a young person connected her book with Mao’s red book. She’s giddy with joy. Watch the short video below and see for yourself. These folks are truly embracing communism.

People seem to forget that Mao set off the revolution in the 60s to purge his enemies that led to many deaths.

Here’s a summary of that time and tell me if it does not have strong similarities to what radical lefty Dems, MSM, and Big Tech are trying to orchestrate today.

However, Mao’s decision to launch the “revolution” in May 1966 is now widely interpreted as an attempt to destroy his enemies by unleashing the people on the party and urging them to purify its ranks.

When the mass mobilisation kicked off party newspapers depicted it as an epochal struggle that would inject new life into the socialist cause. “Like the red sun rising in the east, the unprecedented Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution is illuminating the land with its brilliant rays,” one editorial read.

In fact, the Cultural Revolution crippled the economy, ruined millions of lives and thrust China into 10 years of turmoil, bloodshed, hunger and stagnation.

Gangs of students and Red Guards attacked people wearing “bourgeois clothes” on the street, “imperialist” signs were torn down and intellectuals and party officials were murdered or driven to suicide.

After violence had run its bloody course, the country’s rulers conceded it had been a catastrophe that had brought nothing but “grave disorder, damage and retrogression”.
