(“How much graft or misappropriation are you willing to accept to continue to fund Ukraine?” “Why not audit”)”
You are a liar.
I answered both questions very clearly.
It is in OUR interest to keep Russia from recreating the Soviet Union and starting another cold war which will cost trillions more than the peanuts we are giving Ukraine now.
So I think we should spend whatever it takes to ensure Putin does not win in Ukraine so he can move on to the next target. If it costs 50 bilion or $100 or $200 billion that is much cheaper than the alternative”
Again the question is how much graft or misappropriation are you willing to accept to continue to fund Ukraine? Based on the above I would say it sounds like 100%. Perhaps you should be a bit more clear? 10%? 25% 50%.
And again, why are you afraid of an audit. Even SDC is on the side of reason on this one.

GOP KS Sen Marshall on why he skipped the Zelenskyy speech: I think it’d be disrespectful for me to go see him. I think it’d be disrespectful to the people that are working so hard to keep our nation safe, when we’re not putting making them the priority right now. I did not go.

I am not afraid of any audit.
I am against treating this aid differently than all the other aid we have provided for decades.
I think the mechanisms in place regarding these type of expenditures are sufficient.
Like I said before, the Putin Brigade doesn’t want audits, they want to use audits as an excuse not to provide aid.
The truth will set you free.
In a 3 way Lake looking good. No pun intended.

Given the success so far that Ukraine has had in containing the Russians and the evidence that our equipment is indeed being used in the field, I think the “graft” is probably small in comparison to what is getting through.
There is always going to be some diversion of funds for unintended purposes. That should not be an excuse not to support Ukraine against Russian aggression.
Jason you still have not answered the graft question. I now understand your fear of audits. Money might not be going where it should and congress would rightly turn off the spigot.
So what is it? 10%? 25%? More? Less?
Marshall is a moron. Aid to Ukraine is in OUR interest and keeping Russia from starting a new cold war is going to save trillions in the long run. But anything for a despicable sound bite.

Something to fact check. The US is approaching giving the Ukraine 50% of their GDP. WTF? I will verify this and report back. If true this is really screwed up for a war that has no defined end in sight.
Russia is contained. That is a good thing. Ukrainians are dying and the country is being destroyed. That is not a good thing. Which one do you want.
Sounds like you want containment so Russia can’t cause “mischief” anywhere else.
Btw before you get your knickers in a knot noted warmonger Streiff at Redstate has used the word “mischief” on numerous occasions.
Of course, CDM doesn’t actually have any evidence of “graft” and he has no evidence that would counter the argument that the vast majority of our aid is indeed reaching the field. If that was not so, Ukraine would not be holding off the Russians.
But he is willing to adopt Putin’s talking point anyway.
I think what REALLY bothers CDM is EXACTLY that the aid is getting through, and that is preventing his hero and icon Putin from winning the war.

Do I have that right?
Russia is contained. That is a good thing. Ukrainians are dying and the country is being destroyed. That is not a good thing. Which one do you want.”
Fake choice.
I want the Russians out of Ukraine by any means possible.
THAT will both contain the Russians AND keep Ukrainians from dying and their country from being destroyed.
It sounds like your argument is that it is better to live as slaves than to try to defend your country.
I don’t think it is an argument that most Americans would accept given our history.
No Jason you have it totally wrong. I simply don’t care what happens over their. Just as you simply don’t care about other egregious actions by dictators.

Yes, that has always been clear.
You are perfectly ok with the slaughter of innocent Ukrainians and the displacement of 10 million people. You are ok with Putin annexing country after country and creating a Greater Russia which will then cause another arms race costing trillions.
I get it.
He got impeached because he stepped on some toes in trying to discover graft and corruption of some very powerful people. If the graft was happening in Uganda and he asked for it he would have been impeached for it.
Calling me stupid or whatever doesn’t make it so. I doubt that even BL agrees with that. And we don’t like each other very much.

With the omnibus vote today against the GOP base, Trump’s chances of prevailing in the 2024 GOP Presidential primaries just increased substantially. The GOPe’s to blame. This is 2015 deja vue!
The same people who are Putin friendly or are flat-out Putin lovers come from the same crowd who said the US needed a Mussolini-style leader in the late 1930’s. Their strain of nationalism and populism has always been around. They just never had a prominent person who gave them cover. The Birchers were crazy, but Trump became president. A big difference.
As SDC noted in the last thread, Lindberg did recant his prewar comments once fighting actually began, but anyone who thinks Tucker would recant his Putin friendly comments hasn’t been paying attention. Lindberg’s comments were made out his (misguided) beliefs. Tucker is just a jerk. He can’t change who he is.
Just as Trump couldn’t admit he lost because it would make him look like a loser, Tucker will never be able to admit supporting Putin (he does) was wrong because he doesn’t want to look weak to his populist worshippers. That’s why Tucker said Zelenskyy looked like a strip club owner. There’s no recanting an opinion like that.
We’re a lot closer to the moment when all of these awful people crawl back under the rock from which they came in 2015 and 2016, but we’re not there yet. Their viewpoint is being discredited more and more, but it will take a presidential primary cycle in which Tucker, Hawley, GatewayPundit, Bannon, and the rest lose.
LOL. The idea anyone in 2024 is going to vote in a primary based on a vote taken in December 2022 is pretty funny.
People in this forum simply refuse to accept that what’s said on Tucker or written on GatewayPundit is not a majority opinion in the country and it’s not even the majority opinion within the Republican Party.
A lot of people in this forum have become the Democrats of the 1970’s who would always say what happens on election day doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is what happens in the primary.
And calling Putin what he is. What did that accomplish?
It is virtue signaling. The first resort of them impotent.
US weaponry given to Ukraine is making its way to Africa, even Finland and other European destinations. Terrorists and criminal organizations are accessing these advanced technologies from Ukraine.
That means the corrupt gubbermint of Zelenskyy is selling these weapons for cash to terrorists and criminals in other European and African countries.
Here are some recent articles on this. There have been others too even though one Caleefawnyuh gay fascist tried to argue months ago a TV report on it was discredited. Now we have gubbermint agencies of other European and African countries confirming it.
So if these weapons end up killing American or Allied citizens abroad, we will have Congress and Zelenskyy to thank.
But groupie fans of the Green Khaki Fascist don’t think we should consider accountability on the military aid.

Huh, not quite.
“Orthodox Judaism holds the strictest view on abortion and is the only denomination to not conclusively believe that a fetus is not a human life. Therefore, while some Orthodox rabbis will allow abortion when a mother’s health is in danger, even if her life is not, among other reasons, others will take a stricter approach. Nevertheless, all Orthodox leaders agree that the mother’s life must be saved over the fetus if it comes down to that.
The Conservative movement is more lenient, explicitly stating that if a woman’s mental health is impacted negatively by pregnancy, this counts as a risk to her life and she is permitted to undergo an abortion.
The Reform movement interprets the principle of pikuach nefesh more widely still, including pregnancy as a result of incest or rape under the reasons one can undergo an abortion, as well as if a fetus is determined to have severe developmental defects.”

What percentage of the entire Republican Party (not just base voters in IA or NH) support calling Zelenskyy a welfare queen or a strip club owner as Donnie Jr. and Tucker did?
What percentage of the entire Republican Party (not just base voters in IA or NH) believe Zelenskyy is oppressing Christinaity as a MAGA Congresswoman-elect from Florida tweeted this morning?
https://twitter.com/VoteAPL/status/1605809978224168960?s=20&t=RCo4zmWkSG5QK8vEpBunXQ
What percentage of the entire Republican Party (not just base voters in IA or NH) believe Zelenskyy is a Nazi sympathizer, or that Putin is ackshully the good guy as Col. Douglass MacGregor repeatedly said on Tucker’s show?
What percentage of the entire Republican Party (not just base voters in IA or NH) support cutting off all aid to Ukraine?
What percentage of the entire Republican Party (not just base voters in IA or NH) believe Republican officials who voted to keep the government open are treasonous and need to be removed from office?
Each of these questions comes straight from things said by Tucker, Don Trump Jr., Mollie Hemingway, GatewayPundit, or some of the other heroes of the populist movement. The views expressed by each of these questions are taken as fact and as a majority opinion in the country by the populist posters in this forum.
I’ve read over and over in this forum the FBI, Ukraine, and NATO are wildly unpopular with the American people. Yet, recent polling shows the FBI has +24 approval rating, Ukraine is +32, and NATO is +23. It’s just more evidence that the populists are wrong, wrong, wrong. They’ve always been wrong, but they operate under the belief that is they saying it forcefully that makes it so.
https://twitter.com/RichardHanania/status/1605970256916201481?s=20&t=RCo4zmWkSG5QK8vEpBunXQ
So again, the populists parade around under the belief, if GatewayPundit, Steve Bannon, or Tucker say something, it has to be true even though the views aren’t even majority opinions within the Republican Party as a whole.
The American public simply isn’t as mean and nasty as the populists wish they were.

If there was any doubt that Robbie is a democrat, the fact that he wants a small GOP should pretty much seal that deal.
I wonder what he is going to replace them with?
An excellent article, written by a former Never Trumper (and now Golden Calf supporter), on why the GOP needs to continue to embrace populism, although not radical populism.
“Beyond these considerations, however, the more fundamental reasons why the Republican Party should continue to embrace populism are because it’s good politics and good policy. This is where Republican voters are and have been for some time. More importantly, it’s where the key swing voters in the electorate are.
Let’s start with the Republicans. As New York Times political analyst Nate Cohn writes, the 2020 election was “only the latest manifestation of a half-century trend: the realignment of American politics along cultural and educational lines.” In 2020, white voters without college degrees supported President Trump over Joe Biden by a 65 percent to 33 percent margin, while college-educated whites opted for Biden by 57 percent to 42 percent. Non-college whites made up 58 percent of Trump voters but only 27 percent of Biden voters. This was almost exactly the reverse, Cohn notes, of the class breakdown of the vote when John F. Kennedy narrowly defeated Richard Nixon 60 years earlier.
During the intervening years, millions of blue-collar “Reagan Democrats”—repelled by increasing Democratic radicalism on a broad range of cultural issues such as crime, welfare, permissiveness, and patriotism—moved to the Republican Party and became its base, transforming it from a permanent minority party of the country club set to a functional majority party of the working and lower-middle classes. However, these voters maintained their support for traditional Democratic social welfare programs like Social Security and Medicare. At the same time that working class voters were becoming Republicans, the affluent and the business community were moving dramatically to the cultural Left to become Woke Capitalists who serve as the financial mainstay of the Democratic Party and the enforcers of authoritarian progressive orthodoxy.”
The article is long. It has plenty of criticisms of populism too. Read the whole thing.
“Populism is not the cure. It is a symptom. We ignore it at our peril. But we also embrace it at our peril. The trick is to steer a middle course between combat and compromise, pluralism and unity, anger and optimism. I have no idea what that will look like. But I know that it doesn’t look like Trump, and it also doesn’t look like Mitt Romney”

By the way, Jadon will be happy to know, contrary to his hopes, my Endler population has exploded from like 8 to 40+ in a couple of months. Remember, he wished death on the babies awhile back.
I separated the adult males the other night, 6 of them, and put them in a Men’s Only Club tank.
The 4 adult ladies and numerous babies of varying ages are in a Women’s and Children Only tank. I’d guess about 50% of the babies will be boys so I’ll separate them as they reach maturity in about a month or so.
Surprisingly, I only found 2 deceased critters in a tank of 40+ inbredders so that’s excellent. Usually, too much inbreeding and fish don’t do as well in life, kinda like we see in Kentucky and The British Royal Family.

HOW MANY ILLEGALS ARE COMING INTO THE U.S. PER YEAR?
************************************
THIS POLL IS A YEAR OR TWO OLD.
“85% of Americans think the number of illegal immigrants crossing the southern border is lower — often far lower — than it is. ”
“A recent Harvard/Harris poll found that 21% of Americans believe that “less than 10,000” illegal immigrants cross the United States a month. More than half of all Americans erroneously think the number is lower than 50,000 illegals a month, less than one-third of the real number.”
“In all, more than four in five Americans undercount the sheer size and proportion of the illegal immigrant population crossing the border every single month since Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to a recent Harvard CAPS/Harris poll. Only 7% accurately report the average number of illegal border crossings is between 150,000 and 200,000 a month — perhaps because even seasoned border officials cannot believe it.”
*********************************************
FAST FORWARD TO TODAY:
Heard on radio that 89% of Americans think illegals crossing border is less than 500,000 per year.

WHAT A BUNCH OF DUMMIES!
Cash Cow obviously missed the episode where they found a piece of pottery that was either made by a Native American tribe OR carried by pirates OR Mrs. Jenkins’ 4th grade art class in 1954.
Trump’s “isolationism” = no new wars, Putin in a box.
Biden’s Establishment policies that are fine with McConnell and others in Congress = Putin invasion of Ukraine, debacle in Afghanistan, etc etc.
Somehow, an “isolationist” was able to keep the peace, and actually saw more Arab countries signing agreements with Israel…….such an “isolationist”!
C
Despite the fact that the illegal immigration crisis at America’s southern border has grown to historic proportions under the Biden-Harris administration, the media have devoted 36% less coverage to immigration under Joe Biden than during the same period under Donald Trump; the largest reduction has come mostly from left- and center-leaning media outlets. CNN and MSNBC spent 20% as much time reporting on immigration/the southern border as Fox News. “Nearly all (46) of the top 50 stories about the situation at the border in [mid-March] have come from conservative media, according to data from NewsWhip,” reported Axios.

*no evidence that would counter the argument that the vast majority of our aid is indeed reaching the field. If that was not so, Ukraine would not be holding off the Russians”
Agree with Jason. Let’s not forget Afghanistan, where the U.S. provided tens of billions of dollars in weaponry, and the Afghan military collapsed and refused to fight. Think back to Vietnam. Anyone want to accuse the Ukrainians of not bravely fighting against the Russians against the odds? Remember when Zelensky refused the American offer to evacuate him when the Russians first invaded? Believe his comment was something like “I need ammunition, not a ride”. How unsettling to finally be supporting another country that actually is willing to go all out in it’s own defense. This is an embarrassment to American defeatism; particularly the anti-war crowd must find this totally unsettling.
““A recent Harvard/Harris poll found that 21% of Americans believe that “less than 10,000” illegal immigrants cross the United States a month.”
Cripes, 10,000 illegals come in in a day and a half.
That’s 36 hours.

As usual, SDC is on his knees, mouth wide open letting Zelenskyy spew his load down his throat and not addressing the issue at hand, that has been confirmed by both western and African gubbermints.
Ukrainians are selling weapons we give them to terrorists and criminal organizations in Europe and Africa to make money. They are profiting from killing in other countries.
If US generals did that you would have a fit but you excuse it because you have fantasies of Zelenskyy creaming your azz.
This goes to how corrupt Zelenskyy and his people are and how you turn a blind eye to it.

Zelensky is saving his dress suit for the Russian surrender ceremony.
#110 – the Krugman remark is very silly, not serious at all.
#107 – if they were principled people, Republicans in Congress would have one stand-alone bill written up for aid to Ukraine, with all the required measures for transparency, accountability etc etc, and simply say “Let’s vote for Ukraine, with no other issues involved.”
I would vote YAY on that.
These ridiculous omnibus bills only allow for Democrats and the small number of Republicans to look like they actually give a cr*p about Ukraine.
And please don’t reply with Democrats are in power argument.
I realize that. Then wait 2 weeks until Republicans control the House, then do it.

https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/364829
Where are the peace talks? What does the USA hope to achieve? War?
According to Tucker Carlson we have it all wrong. It is that evil Zelensky who is conducting a war of aggression to drive Putin from power — and “he is getting a lot closer to achieving it.”
“Zelensky is demanding regime change in Russia, just like in Iraq and Libya and a long list of other failed states, except this time in the heart of the Eurasian landmass, next door to the entire civilized world. That’s what Zelensky has called for repeatedly and every dollar we send to him goes toward that end. At this point, he’s getting a lot closer to achieving it, so what happens if he ‘wins?’ What does the ensuing chaos look like? Thought about that?” he added.”
If there is a 1% fraud or “irregularities” inn the counting of 1,000,000 mail in ballots–

Has anyone done an analysis (other than True The Vote org. in CA) as to how many AZ voters who voted in 2022 also registered to vote in other states and voted there as well?
Has anyone done an analysis of how many mail in ballots were MAILED OUT TO VOTER IN AZ, and done an analysis of how many they got back and then contacted those voters to verify that they indeed DID or DID NOT cast a mail-in ballot in 2022 in AZ?

“The mayor blamed the unfolding crisis in Denver on the nation’s broken immigration system that has cities taking “the brunt” of the failures. He called on Congress and the White House to provide “bold, interim steps today and a long-term strategy.””
-Odd……the one thing he didn’t ask the feds for was to enforce current law…….he must agree with jason that those laws would never work, only really cool, edgy and new COMPREHENSIVE laws would work…….
“CG” and Robbie to ignore #124 and all of the illegal immigrants pouring over the border, as long as Trump isn’t in the White House.
“This was always a stunt designed to do four things:
1. Show that an effective barrier can be built quickly
2. Demonstrate the deterrence value of a barrier
3. Draw National attention to gaps in our border deliberately left by the Biden WH and d/prog
4. Force the Biden DoJ to go on record to dismantle the barrier and clearly reveal their priorities don’t include security along our border
From that perspective it was successful. The most pro border security /anti illegal immigration President we have had since Eisenhower was unable to get a border wall fully built during his term. It’s going to take more than a President, it will take electing a critical mass of folks to Congress who will support border security.”
-Two things:
1) I will reconsider what I said about Ducey if this is what he intended to do. Of course, I already knew this about Democrats…why didn’t he do it much earlier? Or in his first term?
2) I’m sure Ducey will be called a “showboater” by jason and Bitterlaw, if this was intended to be a stunt to prove a point.

140. “fought to give more Ukraine aid”
I don’t think it could be referred to as a fight. There was overwhelming bipartisan support, other than a faction of the Republicans who opposed it. The bipartisan majority will continue to exist in 2023, so any hope Putin had that Congress would cut-off future aid has all but disappeared.

I posted links of articles quoting the president of Nigeria giving a speech before other world leaders and other European gubbermint officials stating US weapons from Ukraine are now being used by terrorists and criminal organizations in their countries.
You LIE and try to discredit any source critical of Ukraine corruption even though our own State Department lists it as the most corrupt country in Europe besides Russia.
Everyone here knows you’re a Zelenskyy lapdog. Numerous articles were written about his corruption prior to the war and you tried to deny them as well.
You’re pathetic and like the lefties that support Dr. Fow-chee no matter what the reports show.
No one is saying Ukraine won’t get support but there will now be hearings in the House about the accountability of Ukraine now that both European and African nations are confirming US weapons are getting into the hands of terrorists and criminals organizations. The only way that happens is through corruption in Ukraine.
Like I stated earlier, it’s like US generals selling weapons on the black market for cash. That’s what’s happening with the Ukraine military.
Kimberly Strassel OP Ed in today’s WSJ ” The back end of an omnibus” is a must read.

Yep, great article by Kimberly Strassel. Senate Republicans are both clueless and indifferent. I think a lot of us will remember their betrayal to the base during this lame duck session. Robbie Sherman believes that these hard feelings will fade in a short period of time. I hope he is wrong.
Have you checked conservative twitter? The ire toward Tom Cotton(R-AR) is palpable. He has yet to explain himself for voting for the disastrous omnibus bill. His chances of running for higher office probably vanished yesterday.

It would have been better if he had waited.

Robbie must work for the CIA trying to spread misinformation. There are dozens of articles out there discussing Oleana’s shopping spree in Paris. They sourced it as a reliable salesperson in the store. If they lied, then they should own it and apologize.
Of course there is no proof! That’s the point of articles pointing to anonymous or reliable sources, as is often the case in 90% of news stories.
The store is not going to provide receipts or make an official statement because they’d probably lose their business of high end clientele.
I’ve not read about any denials of this either even though that alone does not prove guilt either way.
I caveated my original post on if this was true as reported because it was sourced in the French media.
158. Robbie you need to be more understanding. Clearly the poster who fell for the false claim about the Zelensky Paris shopping spree was suffering from side effects of consuming too much tofu. An academic study from China states the detrimental effect of overdosing on tofu:
“Furthermore, among older elderly (?68 years of age), high tofu intake increased the risk of cognitive impairment indicative of dementia (OR = 1.27, 95% CI = 0.99-1.64, p = 0.04), after adjusting for all covariates.”
The antidote to tofu intoxication is a big juicy steak.

I thinks it’s funny that you, a guy who befriends, supports and defends a community that SPREADS HIV, Mpox, pedophilia, and child grooming while denying basic civil rights (like getting food from a restaurant to eat) of Americans not vaxed is complaining about SPREADING fake news.
The story has NOT been discredited as fake as Robbie noted.
It’s being questioned on “where’s the proof?”
If that is now the standard, NO News story is credible if you have to have show proof In order for it to be newsworthy.
The French News agency that 1st reported this stated in their article it was from a reliable source at the boutique. If they lied, they need to own up to it but if it’s true, you evidently want them to release their source and ruin their life because you wish to protect Zelenskyy.
I actually caveated my original post “if it’s true” which is something you NEVER do.
You’ve been corrected!
163. SDC
Considering I eat tofu like twice monthly, you’re more likely to have and spread HIV then I am to get an illness from tofu since 15% to 20% of gay men, including in San Diego, are estimated to be HIV+ and that is consistent from year to year with new infections from promiscuous behavior among many of the pedophiling, grooming, STD-spreading community you actively befriend, support and defend.

Dem lawyer says Kari Lake lost election because she told voters to vote on ELECTION DAY. He claims it is political malpractice to tell voters to vote on the day you are supposed to vote. You can’t make this sh-t up.
“During day 2 of the Kari Lake election trial in Phoenix, Arizona, Maricopa County attorney Tom Liddy argued that it was “political malpractice” for a campaign to tell voters to vote in person on election day instead of voting early, and that “you reap what you sow,” meaning that Lake’s campaign lost because of strategy, not because of a printer malfunction error that rendered the ballots incapable of being machine read, long lines that led to voters being unable to vote, or other malignantly incompetent actions on behalf of Maricopa County officials.”
Basically he is saying you deserve to not have your vote counted if you vote on Election Day.
“You reap what you sow”.
Has the grifter apologized to Poland?”
Zzzzz…. NATO says Russia bears ultimate responsibility as the aggressors and exonerated Ukraine and Poland said it was an isolated incident and reiterated its support for Ukraine.
NATO General Secretary

NATO chief says Poland blast likely caused by Ukrainian missile — but not Ukraine’s fault
“But let me be clear, this is not Ukraine’s fault. Russia bears ultimate responsibility as it continues its illegal war against Ukraine,” he said.

That’s BS! If it was truly an accident, yes, you don’t make a monster conspiracy out of it. But if you lie to cover it up and try to deflect, that’s on Ukraine. War is hell, mistakes happen. Just accept responsibility for mistakes.
But to say because NATO says it’s Russia’s fault as a defense for Ukraine is silly because of course NATO is expected to say that because the whole purpose of NATO is anti-Russia to begin with because of their past commie aggression.
Will NATO say its Russia fault to if US military weapons given to Ukraine are used in terrorist attacks in Europe or Africa and then excuse the corrupt Ukrainian gubbermint officials selling the weapons to terrorists as well because it never would have happened if Russia did not start a war?
It’s a silly defense.
I trust very little intelligence or information sourced ONLY from an international organization whether it be NATO, WHO, UN. They should all be taken with a grain of salt.

No what is silly is to say that an errant missile fired in self defense against Russian aggression somehow was designed to start WWIII.
Both Poland and NATO understand what it really was and said so.
Only the Putin sycophants and lapdogs want to pretend it was something that it wasn’t.

Bitter to say no worries this only happens in Bad Philadelphia in 3, 2, 1….
“How many Philadelphians must be killed before the city stops voting for Democrats?
…Since Krasner was elected, prosecutions of gun crimes have fallen considerably. Under his watch, there has been a 17% increase in withdrawals or dismissals of gun charges. This has coincided with a nearly 60% drop in guilty pleas in gun crime cases — why plead guilty when you’re not going to be prosecuted?
Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita. These statistics will only get worse while Democrats such as Krasner are in charge.
The city’s criminals know that the inmates are running the asylum, and there’s little accountability for the actions of anyone in government. Krasner and the city’s Democrats tried to develop a radical, left-wing nirvana, and this dystopia is the direct result. Criminals will continue to flourish so long as Soros-funded politicians are elected to wreak their ideologically based havoc on innocent people.”
“Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita”

Walt goes to turn om gas fireplace insert. No work.
Calls to dealer/ installer not returned
Inside tps dropping to mid 50s.
Walt finally reaches dealer/installer and he walks h through how to dismantle the insert and find a thingies to plug in another thingies and reassemble everything.
Gas insert working fine.
Another thing Walt has learned to fix.
Power might be out for a lot more hours.
Walt had to take the cat outside and had to use three cinder blocks to hold him down to keep the frigging wind from blowing him away.
At least the wood stockade fence has not blown down. Yet.
Walt says MF Christmas.
(But I think he was being grumpily sarcastic.)
Cash. Smile. You’re a victim of global warming.. er climate change.
Biden is curing that,so no worries.

Who wants to brave the elements to put extra blankets on the llama?
In a statement Friday afternoon, Ocasio-Cortez said she was concerned about funding in the bill for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in addition to the $858 billion in defense spending.
The leftist loon is unhappy:
“I campaigned on a promise to my constituents: to oppose additional expansion and funding for ICE and DHS — particularly in the absence of long-overdue immigration reform. For that reason, as well as the dramatic increase in defense spending which exceeds even President Biden’s request, I voted no on today’s omnibus bill,” Ocasio-Cortez said.”
Beach weather in San Diego on Christmas. But global warming has brought a lot of cold and rain to San Diego this month:
“While the rest of the country faces cold conditions due to arctic air spilling from Canada, San Diego County will be untouched and will get a break from the chilly conditions we’ve experienced recently. So although we won’t be getting a white Christmas, Santa will instead need his sunglasses when he visits Southern California.”
Hagerty from Tennessee said they could have stopped it with 41 votes”
They weren’t even close, they only had 28.
It tells me neither side wanted to compromise.
That is why all the talk about getting rid of McConnell blah blah blah is not going to get the GOP anywhere. Neither is purging Trump supporters.
The GOP is fractured party. The voters are fractured. The Senate is fractured. The House is fractured. The Governors are fractured.
The GOP needs a contract like Newt Gingrich proposed, a set of basic things everyone can agree with. The problem is getting Romney and Rand Paul to agree on anything.
Romney said the omnibus is better than anything a R congress can come up with. Obviously there are others that agree with him. On the other hand I can’t see any compromise Rand Paul would vote for.
Anyone feel like relying on wind turbines and solar panels the next couple of months?

-Seems to me, there is more damage to this country every day the federal government is open compared to when it is closed.
Can’t tell the difference on the border whether the government is working or not.
Shut it down if need be, at least until the House gets new leadership.
But that would be too hard for such brilliant minds like those of McConnell and Romney.
Seems to me, there is more damage to this country every day the federal government is open compared to when it is closed”
That sounds like NYC’s theory that the only role the FBI has is to spy on conservatives.
Same simplistic BS, that the Federal government has no relevant role.
The stupidity is astounding.
Not that I support the 1.7 trillion boondoggle, I don’t.
I don’t disagree that it would have been better to wait until the R congress was in place.
My point is that there obviously was not a viable consensus to do that.
I also think the R congress should show unity and vote for McCarthy in a unanimous vote. You can exert pressure later, but the image of the GOP in disarray that cannot elect a speaker just plays in the hands of the MSM and the Dems.
I would not have voted for the Omnibus bill. However, there is no filibuster on the budget and it would have passed even with no GOP votes in the House or Senate. The real world sucks.
Walt was the first human to use fire and now he needs to call a technician? He’s slipping.

By midnight it will be 60. By 4AM it will be 50 and by 7AM 46.
We will have nearly a 40 degree drop in one day.
…and WTF is DeSanctimonius doing about it?
NOTHING

Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Senate Appropriations Committee Vice Chairman Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL), and House Appropriations Committee Chair Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) and excluded the top Republican appropriator in the House, House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rep. I need a lot of energy and a big breakfast to go out into that.
Tgca would salivate like Pavlov’s dogs. Bacon, corned beef hash, sausage and ham, hash browns fried in bacon fat, bacon and cheese omelette toast and coffee. I know, no scrapple. I shouldn’t have had seconds yesterday.

Go out and buy a 16oz well marbled porterhouse, fry it in butter and eat it rare.
It might provide enough energy for you to survive.

Ruy Teixeira is worried about the non-white working class vote going Republican.
He can sleep well, the R country class elitists will gladly give it back to the Dems, no worries, they certainly don’t want to contaminate the party with these people.
“With all the Democratic back-patting going on, I’m not sure they’re really facing up to an emerging problem that severely undermines their electoral theory of the case. I speak of their declining margins with the nonwhite working class. That’s not to say they don’t still carry the nonwhite working class vote, it’s just they carry it by a lot less. That wasn’t in the “rising American electorate” battle plan.
As I have previously noted, AP/NORC VoteCast estimates the decline in Democrats’ advantage among the nonwhite working class as 14 points between 2020 and 2022, 23 points between 2018 and 2022 and (splicing in some Catalist data, which are consistent with VoteCast data where they overlap) an astonishing 33 point drop between 2012 and 2022.

BREAKING: The horrible omnibus has passed the House.
The GOP yes votes were Katko (NY), Jacobs (NY), Fitzpatrick (PA), Upton (MI), Davis (IL), Herrera Beutler (WA), Womack (AK), Kinzinger (Crying), Cheney (Northern Virginia).
AOC was the only Democrat to vote No ?
Thr cryer wants to do away with the 5th amendment, just like a good little dictator/fascist.

50 degrees in bedroom this morning.
55 degrees in living room/dining/kitchen.
Power is on for only 7 minutes at a time.
Then power goes off for 10 seconds. Then power comes on for 7 more minutes. This cycle has been constant for over 15 hours. Heat pump and furnace shut down during this cycling.
Gas fireplace insert can not operate with power outage every 7 minutes.
So must operate on battery backup thingie.
On emergency battery backup the flame height is always maxim #5 setting. And on battery the internal fan blower does not function.
Cannot have setting on #5 for more than a couple hours because the wood fireplace mantle gets too hot and could catch fire.
So we cannot use the gas insert constantly and had to shut it down once we went to bed.
Impossible to use laptop with electric cycling and being kicked off line and the takes about 4 minutes for router to reboot. Then soon to be off line again.
Whatever you do that involves electricity you have to plan around only having it for 7 minutes.
Gas insert fired up this morning.
For a few hours.

Barely survived the night, huddled up in a ball bundled up on my leather couch in my 600 thread count sateen Armani sheet.
Gonna wrap my dogs feet in towels and cardboard and take her out to brave the elements to do her business, praying her paws don’t freeze to the ground or get cut up from the icy grass.
I will not give in to this extreme climate change without a fight. I’m gonna throw on a designer hoodie that accessorizes my fashiobable shorts and matching footwear and brave these icy 13 mph winds.
Hopefully, this will inspire my neighbors staring out their windows in despair to be brave and come out and join me in taking on Mother Nature’s little hissy fit.
Wish me luck guys! …and remember, if I don’t make it, stay brave and continue to fight the good fight against the trannies, child groomers, wokesters, Deep State, elitist snobs in places like Radnor, and the Caleefawnyuh fascists who demand the gubbermint do more to protect their Constitutional rights to behave promiscuously and attend sex parties to spread HIV, MPox, and other STDs while denying people basic rights like eating for failing to get the COVID vax.
Now GFY!
Zzzzzzzzzzz. I don’t use the terms Bad Philadelphia and Good Philadelphia.”
You have to love it here.
I am the one who says there is only ONE Philadelphia and the crime stats apply to the city as a whole.
It is Bitter who introduced the Good Philadelphia and Bad Philadelphia meme, claiming there are actually two cities, one with crime and one without.
You can’t make this sh-t up.
This could be it for Tgca.
It is doubtful an 80lb scarecrow will survive 13 mph winds without being blown into a canal and eaten by an alligator.
“Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita”
Nowhere does it say this only applies to Bad Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is a crime ridden drug ridden corrupt sh-thole.
But Bitter will claim this does not apply to Good Philadelphia.
Bitter invented Good and Bad Philadelphia, not me.

there is a difference between Fitler Square and Kensington or Society Hill and Strawberry Mansion”
LOL
Bitter is back with his Good Philadelphia/Bad Philadelphia nonsense.

Zzzzz…..
“Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita”
Bitter is defending the indefensible.
Sad.
So Jason admits it is a fact that some neighborhoods are better than others. Which was my point.
But the “oh, that is just Bad Philadelphia, my neighborhood is better” kind of attitude is what gets people like Krasner elected.
Bitter is fine with Philadelphia having the highest violent crime and highest murder rate of any large city in the nation because “some neighborhoods are not so dangerous”. And heck, it is not ‘boring”.
I call it the Sergeant Schultz syndrome. I see nothing, I know nothing, I hear nothing.
So Jason admits it is a fact that some neighborhoods are better than others”
I have always said that.
It changes nothing.
You invented the Good Philadelphia/Bad Philadelphia nonsense. Live with it.
Jason: “have to agree with SoHope.
Robinson will be a white supremacist before he is done.”
Baby steps…now apply this epiphany with Trump v DeSantis
You invented Good Philadelphia/Bad Philadelphia. Own it.
I am not “fine” with the crime rate. I don’t live or vote there so I can’t stop it. It is tragic every time I hear about another killing.
But I would rather die as a crime victim in Philadelphia than live to be 100 where Jason lives.
Truth be told I shouldnt be talking with you guys. This year my ex gets Christmas day so I get Christmas Eve as Christmas…my 18 yr old son has one foot out the door and my 16 yr old daughter is my 16 yr old daughter so forget about you guys and politics
SoHope- Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Bitter doesn’t realize how ridiculous it is that every time someone mentions the high crime and corruption in Philadelphia he feels compelled to reply “but some neighborhoods are not so bad” and “at least it is not boring”.
Zzzzz… SoHope wants to humiliate those that do not have a life?
GFY and Merry Xmas.
Baby steps…now apply this epiphany with Trump v DeSantis”
Heh, the epiphany here would be for SoHope to understand that the same lies and MSM talking points that he loves to regurgitate here about Trump will be used against the Golden Calf too.
But because he is a TDS moron, he thinks hating Trump will help the Golden Calf. It won’t.
If Bitter was honest, he would admit the statistics pertain to the entire city, and that if he really loved Philadelphia the way he says he does, he would want to rid it of the crime and drugs and corruption instead of always trying to paper over it and make excuses for it.
Unfortunately, he is offended by the truth and the facts.
If Jason was honest, he would admit that I have never denied there is crime in Philadelphia. He would also admit that I hate crime everywhere but have no impact on Philadelphia.
And I will gladly die in Philadelphia than live where Jason lives.
STOP picking on Bitter!
Murder is an atrocity, an evil unprovoked act!
I agree with Bitter. He is NOT “fine” with these atrocities in Philly. He does NOT live or vote there, in either the good or bad parts of Philly so he can’t STOP it. It is tragic every time he hears about another murder in Philly.
…just like the rest of us here at HHR are NOT “fine” with the atrocities in Ukraine. We do NOT live or vote there so we can’t STOP the atrocities there. It is tragic every time we hear about atrocities in Ukraine.
Perhaps Congress should just keep giving more money to the corrupt politicians of Philly without any required accountability so they can defend themselves against these murderers.
Failure to support the corrupt politicians of Philly makes you a lapdog for the murderers there.
It’s that simple!
I had no idea SoHopeLess was allowed to pass on genes. I thought there were laws against such things for people with severe mental illness like TDS.

Submersed pump in fish pond stopped working.
Walt’s son discovered that the hose leading from lower to upper pond was frozen up and now cracked.
After much effort by Walt of moving rocks, having buckets of warm water, removing hose to repair, electrical issues, now repaired and fish lives are not in danger.
Also electric is now on continuously.
Also had to take gas fireplace insert apart again to disconnect battery powered thingies and reconnect thingies, and then reassemble gas fireplace insert.
Now it operates normally.
Walt is having orders and more orders demanded of him by Mrs. Walt to do ASAP–bag up more cookie trays, cut the ham, this and that…
I keep telling grumpy Walt that he still has it better than many other people.

Tragic.

This is really stupid but Bitter left himself open with his asinine comments on Philadelphia.
You reap what you sow.
If Jason was honest, he would admit that I have never denied there is crime in Philadelphia.”
This comment oozes so much hypocrisy and is so slimy I am wiping down my computer as I write.
You didn’t deny there was crime in Philadelphia, but you constantly try to minimize and excuse it it with your Good Philadelphia/Bad Philadelphia nonsense, “York has crime too” diversion, and “I would rather be shot there than live elsewhere” BS.

No, it makes perfect sense. Actually a lot more is needed.
“Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused $108.3 billion in damage to the country’s infrastructure, according to a study from Kyiv School of Economics released the same day Ukraine’s defense ministry estimated the war has left 3.5 million people homeless.
Russia’s war in Ukraine has damaged or destroyed 105,200 cars, 43,700 agricultural machines, 764 kindergartens, 1,991 shops and 634 cultural facilities, according to the researchers at the Kyiv School of Economics, who worked with several Ukrainian ministries to conduct the analysis.
Ukraine’s defense ministry estimated Tuesday the war had damaged at least 140,000 residential buildings, according to the New York Times, while the Kyiv School of Economics estimated 114,700 private homes have been damaged or destroyed.
The war has caused $47.7 billion of damage to apartment buildings and private homes, according to the study.
Damages to transportation infrastructure, including roads and airports, meanwhile, amounted to $31.6 billion.
$185 billion. That’s how much the infrastructure damages would cost to repair, researchers estimated.
The war in Ukraine has displaced more than 8 million people, the United Nations estimates, with more than 6.5 million people crossing over into neighboring countries including Poland and Moldova since Russia began its invasion in February.”

Zzzzz…. nice dodge. It is not an “admission” every city in America has neighborhoods that are better than others.
But there is no Good and Bad Philadelphia as you claim.
There is ONE Philadelphia, which the stats show to be a crime and drug and corrupt hellhole.
Again this is a FACT. And saying that one neighborhood has less crime than another does not change that no matter how many lies you make up.

Does anyone serious believe Russia is a great power anymore? Putin’s has been exposed as a total joke. Likewise the Chinese seem to be pulling back from their threats against Taiwan. Reagan was right — “peace through strength.”
The invitation to buy you dinner at Parc still stands if you are not afraid.
I am not afraid. I have a concealed weapons permit. No one will dare interrupt our dinner. Just don’t get in the line of fire and you will be ok.
Does anyone serious believe Russia is a great power anymore?”
Sure it is. After the US and China it is probably # 3, and certainly #1 in nuclear weapons.
The Russians are not losing in Ukraine, they have failed in their main objective so far to annex the whole country and/or install a puppet government. But they have invaded and occupied large areas of the country and wreaked great destruction on it. Ukraine is not winning, it is surviving while undergoing large losses in deaths, displacements, destruction and territory.
I have felt safe walking through Philadelphia for more than 32 years without any weapons. If you need a gun, fine.

GEEZ. WTF!

This is a family site I remind folks.
Parc will have to wait until February but the invitation is accepted.
“If you need a gun, fine.”
Zzzzz. Typical liberal drivel.
Sounds like Biden saying you don’t “need” an AR-15 to go hunting. Or liberals saying you don’t “need” a clip with more than 10 bullets.
I don’t “need” a gun. I own and carry guns. It is not based on “need”.
You own and carry guns. I feel completely safe without one. Both can be true.
Kari Lake’s suit tossed.
But as is often the case in these challenges, there is very little analysis of the evidence and the merits, it always based on “standing” and in this case “17k is too much of a margin”.
It shouldn’t be “too much of a margin”. If the election rules have been violated and the results are under suspicion, all that should be considered is whether the evidence presented could theoretically overcome that margin.
“The margin of victory as reported by the official canvass is 17,117 votes – beyond the scope of a statutorily required recount,” Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson stated in his order. “A court setting such a margin aside, as far as the Court is able to determine, has never been done in the history of the United States. This challenge also comes after a hotly contested gubernatorial race and an ongoing tumult over election procedures and legitimacy – a far less uncommon occurrence in this country.”
“Plaintiff has no free-standing right to challenge election results based upon what Plaintiff believes – rightly or wrongly – went awry on Election Day,” Thompson stated in his order. “She must, as a matter of law, prove a ground that the legislature has provided as a basis for challenging an election.”
Feeling safe and being safe are two different things.
The concept of “needing guns” is a leftist anti-2nd amendment excuse to oppose gun rights.
296. “I feel completely safe without one.”
How you feel and reality are two different things. A lot of people who end up victims of crime will often comment they felt the neighborhood they were in, or street they were on, was safe. A person can be vigilant, but if I am in an area that could be sketchy or a rural area far from law enforcement, I will usually carry.
In the Utah Senate campaign Senator Lee was accused of supporting “the insurrection.” Lee denied it — and now there is evidence he did not; as stated in Politico:
“In his testimony, O’Brien described urgent calls and texts from Senate allies, including McConnell, not to resign during the final days of Trump’s presidency — calls he said were spurred on by news reports that he had been considering stepping down. During the Jan. 6 riot, Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) called him and put McConnell on speaker phone, O’Brien recalled.
“Senator McConnell was telling me, and Senator Lee, that I needed to get back to Washington and that I couldn’t resign,” O’Brien said.”
Right, probably the vast majority of crime victims felt safe before they didn’t.
I have fully supported the 2nd Amendment in hundreds of post for 18+ years. Not only do I feel safe, I am safe and have never been in any danger in my entire life of 54 years. I have never been threatened in any way in the 32 years I have lived/worked in Philadelphia. GFY
Unfortunately tens of thousands of people in Philadelphia are not as lucky as Bitter, including the over 500 that have already been murdered this year.
So again, “feeling safe” and being safe are entirely different propositions.
Philly is and always has been, at least the last 40+ years, an armpit of a city to me. So dirty, smelly and run down.
I don’t find it appealing at all. Maybe because NYC and DC are close by and it can’t compare.
Why does anyone care about it?
I am safe without having to move 100 miles away from a major city. Suck it.
Jason thinks he is safe. Good for him. I know I am safe in Philadelphia. Never had a problem with safety there.
I was in Philadelphia an hour ago. Tgca thinks he knows more about it than I do.
Bitter still trying to defend the indefensible.
Breaking….. big news from NORAD.
https://www.noradsanta.org/en/map
Jason still living in fear.
Never had a problem with safety there.”
This is like a drug addict saying drugs are harmless because he hasn’t died yet.
Jason still living in fear”
LOL
Bitter grew up in a privileged setting and lives in the upscale suburbs and tells me I live in fear. He also is a big wimp that is afraid to travel and never goes anywhere.
I come from much more unfavorable circumstances and have traveled for decades to places a lot more dangerous than Philadelphia.
Who lives in fear?
309
Were you in the good or bad part of Philly?
Jason lives in a rural area with an arsenal in his old age. Who lives in fear? He does.
I spend at least 5 days a week in the city Jason cites crime stats about and have no concerns about my safety. Who lives in fear? Jason does.
Owning guns does not mean you live in fear anymore than working for a company means you fear poverty.
It’s silly, sophmoric logic.
Did you really make it past the 5th grade?
I guess if there is nothing to fear in Philly and its soooooo safe, then why not cut 95% of the police force. Keep a skeleton crew just to handle emergencies like most small towns that have little to no crime.
There is a lot of crime in every city, including Philadelphia. I have never supported cutting police funding. I have also never feared for my safety. I don’t want or need to own a gun but you should on as many as you want.
There is a lot of crime in every city, including Philadelphia”
LOL
“Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita”
I don’t know why people want me to live in fear and never go to Philadelphia. I am perfectly safe. NYC is the only poster who has been shot and it wasn’t anywhere near Philadelphia.
I spend at least 5 days a week in the city”
Zzzzz… you are a commuter.
You live in the upscale suburbs.
You park in Philadelphia during the day and scurry to your office and then leave after office hours.
The fact is, either you are lying or you don’t know sh-t about Philadelphia. Well, maybe both.
You are the one who lives in fear.
Bitter thinks he knows a lot about Philadelphia.
He doesn’t.
It is pretty obvious that maybe he knows a lot about his safe little enclave of Radnor and nothing about Philadelphia.
Bitter wants to have it both ways.
He wants to pretend he lives in Philadelphia but he doesn’t.
He wants to pretend he knows a lot about Philadelphia but by denying its obvious realities all he shows is ignorance.
Bitter is a tourist in Philadelphia.
Jason is a fearful man who does not spend 300+ days and thousands of hours in Philadelphia per year. 5 days of 10-14 hours per week. I know more than he could ever know. Jason thinks he knows more from 100 miles a way than I do from watching news clips. Well, by that standard, York and the surrounding area are drug and murder hubs because that is what makes the news. The next time Jason will be on the Broad Street subway or Market-Frankfort line at night will be the first for him.
I will have to ask Parc for an indoor table far from doors and windows so he feels safe. I would take an outdoor table but that’s me.
You live in the upscale suburbs.
And you live in the middle of nowhere afraid to go near a city. I believe that you used to travel and go to dangerous places. Then you got soft. It happens.
“Philadelphia now has the highest violent crime rate of any U.S. city with a population of greater than 1 million. Of the 10 largest cities in the U.S., Philadelphia has the highest homicide rate per capita”
And only one of us goes there 300+ days per year. Jason can;t bring himself to live withing 100 miles of it because he is afraid. It’s ironic that a Philly A-hole is afraid of Philadelphia.
Bitter is a tourist in Philadelphia.
80+ hours a week and 300+ days a year? ZZZZZZZ
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11572457/TikTok-megastar-Boogie-B-shot-killed-New-Orleans-getting-caught-crossfire-shopping-grandma.html
Now Jason can be an expert on New Orleans.
I would take an outdoor table but that’s me.”
Damm, it is 10 degrees outside.
Maybe Bitter IS a tough guy.
And you live in the middle of nowhere afraid to go near a city. I believe that you used to travel and go to dangerous places. Then you got soft. It happens.”
It happens. But I still travel about 30% of the time. It used to be 60%.
It is now officially Christmas in the Eastern time zone. Merry Christmas.
…and Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
THWEE! THWEE! THWEE! Bishes!
THWEE! THWEE! THWEE! I thay.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.
I hope my wife likes the new iRobot. I am worried that it might make her think the time saved on cleaning is to slack off when the intention is that she would have more time for other work. Taking the chance.
I left several articles on the new Smith & Wesson CSX pistol lying around including some discount coupons as a hint but no luck. I got a new hunting jacket which I will walk around with today, if it keeps me warm in 10 degree weather it will pass the warmth test. Lupita got a box of granola for Xmas which she promptly ate box and all which tells me she liked it. The cat is dozing contentedly near the fireplace and doesn’t seem to want anything.
Can the iRobot cook? Can it be programmed to churn butter?
The cat is plotting your death. He is just too lazy to do it today. Maybe tomorrow.
Making pulled pork for Xmas dinner. As usual my wife is asking dumb questions like who is going to eat an entire 15lb pork shoulder. I guess she never heard of pulled pork sandwiches, pulled pork hash, pulled pork omelets, etc. Plus we can freeze the leftovers, leave it in the freezer for a year, and then throw it out after asking “wtf IS this”?
Bitterlaw says:
December 25, 2022 at 9:50 am
Can the iRobot cook? Can it be programmed to churn butter?”
Hope not. My wife is a hard worker we don’t want to spoil her.
Merry Christmas, you bunch of rascals.
He is just too lazy to do it today. Maybe tomorrow.”
Could be. Yesterday he wanted to go out. I opened the door a crack and he got a blast of super cold air in the face and quickly backed off. But he looked at me like it was my fault.
I really admire Walt’s Xmas spirit. After 2023 Xmas’ you would think he would tire of it.
Holy chit!
I fell asleep on the couch last night and never set the alarm. Next thing I know, I wake up to someone trying to get in the house. Luckily, my loaded semi-automatic Ruger was in spitting distance so I grabbed it and authoritatively boomed in my threatening deep voice, “WTF are you doing in my home Bish?”
Next thing you know this fat f*ck all dressed in red is hustling his fat azz up my fireplace. I was tempted to empty a few shots in his fat azz but I was in the Christmas spirit.
Damn! You’re notneven safe in your own home anymore.
Good thing I have guns to keep me safe.
My cats tried the back door and it was too cold. Then the door to the driveway. Then the front door. They must think there are 3 very different environments for each door.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
May the beautiful lights of every holiday season remind us of Him who is the source of all light.
Merry Christmas to all my Hedgehog buds.
I hear only the super wealthy have fireplaces in their waterfront properties in south Florida. They want their homes to look like their fellow millionaires in the Hamptons.
Merry Xmas to all A-holes, and since it is Xmas to everyone else too.
Bitter’s mansion has 3 doors? Damm, those suburban elitists sure know how to live.
Here in Bittersville we have 3 doors too, if you count the outhouse door and the barn door. GFYs.
Last night the outhouse door was frozen shut so I did what any normal man would do. Now my wife is asking about the yellow snow. I said don’t worry honey if that coyote comes around again I will blast him.
The Putin Brigade will be proud of their hero’s Xmas message.
“Putin taunts Europe for Christmas: Russian state media puts out video warning freezing Europeans they will be reduced to eating their PETS next year if they continue to support Ukraine”
It makes perfect sense that Rich Dad US printed a billion bucks to help poor dad Ukraine.
I am glad we are finally printing money for a good cause and something in OUR interest.
So much is being printed to be wasted on woke causes and thrown away down the “climate change” rathole.
So i’ve braved our artic frigid weather thus far here in south Floreedah. It’s 45 but with these blizzard like winds hissing and howing at 12 mph, it feels more like 41.
The good thing is that the worst will be over soon as the temps will be up to 50 by 5PM but dropping again to the high 40s overnight.
We still have a day or two of frigid temps in the 60s. Mon AM will be freezing as temps climb through the 50s to low 60s and remain in the mid 60s Tue until we slowly climb into the 70s on Wed and Thu, before life sustaining temps of 80 return on Friday.
I’ve yet to check on my neighbors to see if they all survived but i’m hopeful.
I suggest you rope yourself to the porch before venturing outside, with your 80 lb frame a 12 mph wind could easily blow you into an alligator and python infested swamp.
Tgca did you ever think of renting yourself out as a kite?
Extra cash and the views are stunning.
The pulled pork was excellent. Even the second day. I was not allowed to cook anything else for Xmas considering we only made a modest dent in the 15 lb pork shoulder. I was hoping she would be entertained by the iRobot while I secretly thawed some venison steaks, they are great wrapped in slab bacon, but alas, she found them and put them back in the freezer. You can’t win them all.
Tgca, you would love my pulled pork recipe. Marinated in a garlic and onion and olive oil paste with other spices and then slow cooked for hours until the meat is falling off bone and then mashed in with the pork fat. One bite of this and you would swear off tree bark and tofu and organic maple syrup forever. Maybe I should market it as a cure for rodent food addiction.
Vote for your favorite Xmas Flash Mob video.
I voted for the one in Spain with the Macy’s Philadelphia a close second.

One of my friends was diagnosed with cancer. 2022 continues to suck until the end.
297. If you’re going to cheat, cheat big. A judgment is coming but not here.
All have a Merry Christmas. Prayers are with Phil and his family.
All I gotta say is Christmas is overrated and Santa is a fat POS!
I hope his sleigh gets rammed by a 747.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11573703/South-Dakota-Governor-Kristi-Noem-shows-new-FLAMETHROWER-staff-bought-Christmas.html
I did not know you could buy a flamethrower. Jason should put it on his 2023 Christmas list. Trump probably needs to top it with a flamethrower tank.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11571993/Toxic-algae-killing-fish-Florida-dire-affects-humans-animals.html
Tgca has competition.
The temperature was 77 in San Diego yesterday. It will be about the same in July.
Donald Trump’s Christmas rant:
“@realDonaldTrump
Merry Christmas to EVERYONE, including the Radical Left Marxists that are trying to destroy our Country, the Federal Bureau of Investigation that is illegally coercing & paying Social and LameStream Media to push for a mentally disabled Democrat over the Brilliant, Clairvoyant, and USA LOVING Donald J. Trump, and, of course, The Department of Injustice, which appointed a Special “Prosecutor” who, together with his wife and family, HATES “Trump” more than any other person on earth. LOVE TO ALL!”
366 Another reason to not visit San Diego.
I would not want to live where there is only one season but I am glad that SDC is happy.
I like Trump’s “rant”. Does anyone disagree with anything he says in it?
If Rs cannot decide on speaker, I think they should draft Trump.
I did not know you could buy a flamethrower.”
Poor Bitter sure lives a sheltered existence despite his courageous and intrepid forays into a downtown parking lot of crime ridden, drug ridden, corrupt Philadelphia.
There are dozens of models for sale, even at Amazon, for as low as 50 bucks.
But if you are looking for something to give me, I do have my eye on this really cool flamethrower drone.
MEGAVM Flamethrower Drone
Brand: MEGAVM
$5,241.06
Made of high-density materials, more durable
It has a foldable, low-profile, ergonomic design
You can take this drone anywhere, for travel and outdoor use
It is portable, easy to use, easy to operate, efficient and stable, wind resistant and durable
One-button takeoff and landing, altitude maintenance, speed adjustment and flip function make flight uniform mapping”
Flamethrower drones? Sure. Why not?
The flamethrower drone is great if you have piles of brush/trash you want to burn throughout your property. You can sit on your porch having a beer while you set the piles on fire.
Flamethrower drones? Sure. Why not?”
Thanks Bitter, very generous.
A flamethrower drone takes out a wasp nest.
To be honest it is probably a little too close to the house for comfort.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DidntKnowIWantedThat/comments/zglsaf/a_flamethrower_drone_taking_out_a_wasp_nest/
My wife would veto any use of the flamethrower drone within 100 yards of the house but she is not always home. I bet it would work great as a bear/coyote deterrent too if there wasn’t a concern about setting off a massive forest fire.
I know what Amos will say when I show him Bitter’s gift. “The English are crazy”.
Bitter, once I get the hang of it, I will invite you here to pilot the flamethrower drone. It will be more fun than dodging stray bullets in Philly.
Libs think busing illegals to Kamala’s house should be illegal.
“This should be against the law. If not, it should be unethical to those in government accountability communities.”
They don’t get the irony of pretending they are for the rule of law.
Speaking of the “rule of law”, I made this point recently. Judges are throwing out election lawsuits brought by Rs on all kinds of grounds except actually ruling on the merits of the case. Anything not to actually consider the 800lb gorilla in the room, which is the simple question were voters disenfranchised or not. If yes, then there should be a remedy and it gets complicated.
So it is easier to make up excuses to avoid ruling on the key question brought forth by the lawsuit.
There were massive issues regarding ED voting in R areas of Maricopa county. Thousands of voters were affected. Long lines ensued. Many gave up. Others had their ballots “counted later” after they were deposited in boxes with no chain of custody. The newly printed ballots had scanning problems because they couldn’t be read. Supposedly they were counted “later”. Partisan election officials guarantee it. The SOS who was actually “elected” herself and had a clear conflict of interest guarantees it.
All these are facts. Voters WERE disenfranchised. Maybe not 17,000? Ok. But how many? So let’s just say I doubt it was 17,000 let’s sweep it under the rug? It certainly was more than 511 votes that decided the AG race.
https://townhall.com/columnists/rachelalexander/2022/12/26/the-dismissal-of-kari-lakes-election-lawsuit-shows-voter-disenfranchisement-no-longer-matters-n2617566
It’s also the signature mismatches in Arizona and Maricopa county’s look the other way approach.
But it’s apparent Douchey did not do anything about it in 2 years.
It will be the same theft in 2024.
Hopefully, Ron in the Bunker can overcome this.
Ducey and Brnovich pretty much killed voting integrity in AZ. The leftwing partisans that run elections there are going to be further emboldened because they know neither R officials or the courts will act.
I hope they both of these Stockholm syndrome victims fade into the political dustbin of history.
I am frankly gobsmacked Bitter is buying me a flamethrower drone, considering it is slightly more than what he paid for his snow blower.
It is the kind of generous spirit that unites A-holes during the Holidays.
Of course, I am going to have to reciprocate.
While I can’t match anything the wealthy suburbanites can afford, I am sure Bitter know it is the thought that counts.
I am thinking about $100 gift certificate to the Amish Farm House, they have wonderful things. Bitter’s wife would swoon over the goat milk soap.

At MSP Airport at car rental place. They have no cars. So.e people waiting for 2 hours. Riot will begin soon?
Cows probably know them as mountain oysters.
Cow was prevented from posting. Wanted to a small test post.
A testicle is a small test.
They are probably not prosecuting car theft in Minneapolis, so consider stealing one.
Traffic here is way down over the holidays.
I think most posters want to post, but they prefer to flaunt the fact they have lives.
Arrogant bastards.
My snowblower cost $400 five years ago and has been repaired twice. Given depreciation, Jason’s flamethrower drone has to come in under $100.
They called our name and gave us some car keys. We took them and ran. To avoid the wrath of those who had been waiting longer than us.
I guess Walt reserving the car in October played in his favor.
Bitter is going to be responsible for some terrible disasters if he wants me to use a $100 flamethrower drone.
I suppose you can take a regular drone and attach a gas can with a nozzle and a battery operated igniter but the contraption is probably going to cause some major mayhem.
Of course Bitter will agree to be liable so I won’t worry to much.
Noem demonstrates her flamethrowing skills.
Can anyone imagine DeSanctimonius trying to do this surrounded by his SUITS, nodding and clapping in the background.
He’d be more likely to read us the instructions and lecture us on safety tips then demonstrate actual usage.

The omnibus’ 3,213 Democrat earmarks include “federal funds for LGBTQ+ museums in New York, community spaces for gender-expansive people in Ohio,” the Club for Growth discovered, “and $3.5 million to fund the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in Congress.”
It also allocates:
$300,000 for a “Continuous Plankton Recorder survey.”
$3 million for bee-friendly highways.
$3.6 million for the “Michelle Obama Trail” in Georgia.
$212.1 million available for federal prosecutions related to January 6 — essentially an anti-Trump slush fund.
$410 million for “enhanced border security” — in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and Tunisia.
$575 million for family planning “in areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species.”
$1,563,143,000 for “border management requirements” that shall not “be used to acquire, maintain, or extend border security technology and capabilities.” So, $0 to stop illegal-alien invaders but $1.56 billion to “process” and rush them into the homeland.
CD
This lying POS should resign. To purposely lie and mislead voters goes to character and trust. This goes behind little fibs or exaggerations. Lying about your resume is one thing but lying about family fleeing Nazis is shameful. Clearly, those lies were meant to trick people into voting for him by playing on their sympathy or fears.
I don’t care how close the GOP control is. He should do the honorable thing and resign.
He can’t be trusted and if he refuses the GOP should ostracize him and start looking for someone to primary him.
This is why people hate politicians.
https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/george-santos-its-true-i-lied-about-everything-in-my-background/
Zzzzzzz……let all the Dems that lie about their resumes resign first.
I don’t think he should resign. He won. If his constituents don’t like the way he performs in Congress they can elect somebody else.
Let him resign first
Biden has a history of making up stories to enhance his resume. One of these lies from 1987 is the enhancement of his college resume. “I went to (Syracuse) law school on a full academic scholarship. … I was the outstanding student in the political science department. … I ended up in the top half of my class. …
“He attended law school on a half-time scholarship based on financial need and that he graduated 76th out of a law school class of 85. His undergraduate academic records show that he graduated from Delaware 506th in a class of 688 with a “C” average and that he got his undergraduate degree with a dual major in history and political science”
I think all the lying Dems should resign too. No question about that.
I don’t think the GOP should support him and should exclude him from ALL committees and refuse to fund or endorse him in 2024. They should also actively look to primary him and let him know that in advance.
If the GOP just accepts this as OK because Dems do it, then they’re just as equally unethical and have no right to criticize current Dems or going forward because they accept bad behavior from their own as well.
I would get fired from my job if I lied like this but we keep holding politicians to lower standards whether it be crimes or behaviors that normal everyday citizens are held to higher standards.
Therefore, if we accept this, we deserve the politicians we get and to live in the political landscape we do.
If everyone who “enhanced” their resumes had to resign from public office there would not be too many people left.
Are you going to resign from HHR for claiming to be an expert in 151 fields when you actually are an expert in only 129?
I think all the lying Dems should resign too. No question about that.”
Ok, when Biden resigns I will follow your call for Santos to resign.
Biden:
“If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in an ICU unit, and you are not going to die.
You’re OK. You’re not going to — you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”
Is any embellishment Santos put on his resume worse than these lies?
There’s a difference between enhancing a resume and outright lying, and as I noted, that was not what I found the most offensive. It was the lies about his family fleeing from the Nazis. Who makes up such chit?
I wonder what else he has lied about or will lie about.
I just don’t think the GOP should endorse him in anyway or else they lack credibility to criticize any of the radical Dems.

You can’t blame Biden for following the advice of the Great Dr. Fow-chee whose memory has all of a sudden gone limp once forced to testify.
Come on man
If I wrote this as a student of Stanford University, this could get me kicked out of school
The BRAVE AMERICAN GRANDFATHER said LONG TIME, NO SEE.

Right. Biden outright lies.
You should show some respect for # 46 and the office of the presidency.
Don’t be surprised if you get a visit from the FBI or Biden threatens to take you out behind Lupita’s barn.
No double standard for Santos. I give him a pass.
Fetterman lied about his “resume” non-stop for a whole year. He lied about his stroke. He lied about his tenure as Mayor. He lied about his role chasing a black man with a shotgun.
Is he going to resign?

All politicians that have lied in an effort to gain office should resign ASAP.
Then you can hear the crickets in DC.
I found out a lawyer I had cases with died at 41 from a blood clot that went to his lung while he was home recovering from ankle surgery. 2022 is brutal to the end. He was a great family man and lawyer. He was also a genuinely good guy.

Not today, Jason.
Was Al Gore forced to resign?

Or that his mother sang “look for the union label” to him as a child, when the song was written when he was 27.

Or that he authored the Earned Income Tax Credit which was actually enacted 2 years before he entered Congress.
“I carried an M-16. . . . I pulled my turn on the perimeter at night and walked through the elephant grass, and I was fired upon.” In 1988, Gore told the Washington Post: “I was shot at. . . . Another Russian tycoon falls out of window….
“Russian sausage tycoon Pavel Antov has been found dead at an Indian hotel, two days after a friend died during the same trip.
They were visiting the eastern state of Odisha and the millionaire, who was also a local politician, had just celebrated his birthday at the hotel.
Antov was a well known figure in the city of Vladimir, east of Moscow.
Last summer he denied criticising Russia’s war in Ukraine after a message appeared on his WhatsApp account.
The millionaire’s death is the latest in a series of unexplained deaths involving Russian tycoons since the start of the Russian invasion, many of whom have openly criticised the war.
Reports in Russian media said Mr Antov, 65, had fallen from a window at the hotel in the city of Rayagada on Sunday. Another member of his four-strong Russian group, Vladimir Budanov, died at the hotel on Friday.”
Putin’s critics should only reserve rooms on the ground floor. Of course, there would probably be an increase in trucks crashing into hotels…backing up…and then crashing again.
That lying SOB has done nothing to resign compared to the fools already there. The people in his district can decide to vote him out next time around, similar to Feaxcohontas and the CT Dick.
As for the voters being “deceived”, if those facts that were lied about is what is making you vote for the person, shame on you. Take responsibility for your own terrible reasons to support someone.
Merry Christmas to All! And Happy New Year!
Bitterlaw, my condolences to the family of that lawyer friend. And to you.
Thank you, NYC.
I drove by my dad’s house on Christmas Eve. There was no visible work going on but I expect the new owners will flip it as an investment. It would be a shame to tear it down and build something new that did not fit the neighborhood.

NYC – Not sure. I expect the town council was bought years ago.
Allendale? I dated a girl from there a few times. You should have stopped in Ho-Ho-Kus. Why? Just so you could say Ho-Ho-Kus.
“How did George Santos make it over the finish line before all of this information came to light? The general consensus among New York Democrats seems to be that it’s a matter of timing. You see, Santos ran for this seat in 2020 against Democrat Tom Suozzi. It was obvious that Santos was going to get his clock cleaned and he did, losing by roughly 20 points. He was basically little more than a placeholder name on the ballot for the Republicans, so nobody really bothered vetting him or looking at the race too closely. And two years later, since he had run before, a lot of people clearly assumed that he’d already been vetted. (And there were bigger, hotter races to cover in the state anyway.)”
-Seat him.
When he was a loser, there was no problem. Now that he won, there is a problem.
GFY, Democrats. Seat him. Then either primary voters or general election voters will choose him again, or throw him out.

“However interesting Trump’s theory may be, I have a completely different idea about why McConnell is so awful: being in the minority means he can always use that as an excuse for never doing anything meaningful or good for Republican voters.
Before I go any further I think that I should clarify that this is a tale of two Mitch McConnells. The Mitch McConnell we saw during Trump’s presidency was a very different politician. Both he and Lindsey Graham seemed to have gotten an infusion of testosterone and healthy partisanship when Trump was POTUS.
Both are invertebrate surrender jellyfish now.”

“A federal judge has approved a $10.3 million class-action settlement with a university healthcare system and workers who were denied religious exemptions from COVID-19 vaccine mandates.
Chicago-based NorthShore University HealthSystem came to terms with 500 current and former healthcare workers this summer, but it was only Friday that U.S. District Judge John Kness approved the settlement terms.
The class covers NorthShore team members who submitted religious exemption requests between July 1, 2021 and January 1, 2022, were denied exemptions and either took a vaccine to avoid termination or were fired or resigned due to their religious objections.”
I hope there are lot more of these.
If push came to shove, jason would want a McConnell/Romney type as Majority/Minority Leader compared to a Cruz/Paul/Lee type.”
There is a lot of difference between McConnell and Romney.
I wouldn’t support Romney or Paul for dog catcher, let alone majority leader.
And yes, I prefer McConnell to either Cruz or Lee because the leader needs to be a consensus pick.
But I could certainly support someone else like Rick Scott, Rubio or Thune who would be much more viable than Cruz or Lee if Rs wanted to make a switch.
Got it – you are fine with “Leaders” who, like Nancy Pelosi, are fine with “You have to pass the bill to see what’s in it.”
That’s what I thought.

Apparently, British media can find the US-Mexico border.
426. Putin’s critics should only reserve rooms on the ground floor.
“Putin made similar statements last week, noting that some businessmen who drain Russia’s money aboard are a “danger” to Russia. Putin’s statements are also consistent with the Russian State Duma’s preparations to introduce a bill to increase tax rates for Russians who had left the country after the start of the “special military operation,” likely as a form of punishment for evading the war effort.”
#442 – walls don’t work. jason, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Biden, Pelosi and Schumer all agree on that.
“#442 – walls don’t work. jason, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Biden, Pelosi and Schumer all agree on that.”……along with all of those other “consensus pick” Republicans.
Walls don’t work because without enforcement they are climbed over, walked around or tunneled under.
WE ARE WINNING, bleats NYC, as millions more illegals cross the border.
Amazing! The same argument we have been having for 20 years (actually much more than that!) about immigration laws…….and yet the same “Republicans” who said it couldn’t be done in 2004 still say it in 2022, despite 4 years of Trump which saw the numbers drastically reduced, and that was with a divided Republican party!!
Imagine if the DC-shiny shoe-types ever decided to join the masses in embracing common sense ideas – walls work, enforcement works.
So simple that the “smarties” just have to fix it for us!
“without enforcement”
-Ahhhhh, finally, jason writes what I have been writing for 20 years.
The current laws are fine. We do not need “new, better, comprehensive” laws, as the Democrats will ignore them as well.
It is the leadership of the country which su*ks, Bush acted just like like Obama and Biden, and swamp creatures like McConnell, McCain, Thune and Ryan etc etc stayed silent when Trump was attacked about the wall and his enforcement of the current immigration policies.
Cheers, and Goodnight!
I am looking forward to a fun New Years get-together later this week with my wifes liberal friends, where I will show them the letters I wrote to DeSantis and Abbott that their respective towns want the immigration buses to stop and unload there.
“Ron DeSantis finally responds to Trump criticism ahead of the former president’s announcement tonight:
“One of the things I’ve learned in this job is when you’re leading, when you’re getting things done, you take incoming fire, that’s just the nature of it.” “
The current laws are fine. ”
Zzzzz…
After 20 years, NYC still can’t tell us when they will be enforced.
Meanwhile millions more cross the border every year.
WE ARE WINNING!
Trump’s border wall was a fiasco that wasted billions of dollars as I predicted. A physical wall is a complete folly except in urban areas, for most of the border it should be a virtual wall policed by electronic means, drones, and satellites. A border wall in rural areas without enforcement is just a nuisance that is easily overcome.
452
Agreed! Armed drones shooting down invaders to our country is cheaper than a wall that will require maintenance for years,
Flamethrower drones are cool too.
Ukraine’s Zelenskyy says his government is preparing to participate in Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum in Davos next month.
Of course… The WEF is the real enemy.
WEF goal…You will own nothing and be happy.
Did Zelensky take JeffP’s lunch money in school?
#452- jason
Then how do you explain the effectiveness of the walls between Israel and Gaza
Judea/Samaria?
These walls are not built in mostly urban areas.
Virtual wall or concrete wall, the problem is the current Administration’s “open border” policies.
Then how do you explain the effectiveness of the walls between Israel and Gaza
Judea/Samaria?”
Are you really that much of a moron?
Gaza border is 32 miles long.
The US Mexico border is 1951 miles long.
Geezus..
“These walls are not built in mostly urban areas”
And still with all the monitoring and only 32 miles long the Palestinians have dug 100’s of tunnels.

I don’t know what rubber vs. glue means, I blame the one room schoolhouse on the Altiplano.

NYC says he is “my type of Republican” which is absurd.
Not sure where Bitter disagrees.
Jason said McConnell is NYC’s type of Republican. His subsequent posts refer to Romney.
When challenged, an A-hole spews everywhere to create a diversion.
Jason said McConnell is NYC’s type of Republican”
Ahhh, I get it now.
No, I actually was trying to make the opposite point, that saying McConnell was his type of R was as absurd as saying Romney was my type of R.
Have another coffee from those Borneo monkey excreted coffee beans from Wah Wah to clear your brain.
Zzzzzzzzzzz Jason knows I never drink coffee. I tried it once as a teenager. I hated it and 40 years later I still won’t try it again. However, I do like the smell of coffee. I am complex like that.
Ma, that coffee bait worked again.
Saying you “don’t like coffee” is like saying you don’t like ice cream, when there are so many varieties and flavors.
Also your palate evolves from a teenager, you should give coffee a shot, no pun intended. Maybe start with the coffee for wussies, mild and flavored with chocolate or what the Starbucks pansies order or whatever before you evolve to the industrial strength super dark roast black tar coffee I like.
If for nothing else, coffee is good for you.

Funny I said that, I eat ice cream maybe once a year. But it’s not that I don’t like it as much as the fact I eat very little sugar period.

Coffee, like other drinks are fine within moderation. Maybe 2 cups at most daily unless you’re drinking low caffeine.
Caffeine has effects on the body and people with certain medical conditions and on certain medications should avoid it.
Caffeine can interfere with certain metabolic processes and impact your sleep as well.
So whether it’s ice cream or cheeseburgers or pizza or coffee, it’s all about moderation.
Even cigarettes have been shown to have a calming effect on people but clearly we do not recommend it for most.
Also, the study leaves out the fact that often the benefits of caffeine for weight loss require much higher dosage of caffeine than most should have.
I admire Bitter for his stance on coffee.
Some also like the smell of glue, gasoline, and marijuana but don’t consume them.
I once had a college roommate tell me women like the smell of men’s musty smelling pants.
Another acquaintance told me decades ago he goes to events where people, including straight guys, exchange dirty socks, shoes, and underwear to smell.
Some people also swear by “vabbing” though there’s no scientific evidence it attracts people. Google it if you’re IGORENT on vabbing.
Clearly, the human olfactory function is complex.
I drink 5-7 sodas a day. Caffeine is not a problem for me. I can fall asleep after drinking it.

Bitterlaw,
I appreciate you intervening above. Someone had tied my shoelaces together during recess and I just got them separated.
jason,
Admirable stance on sugar. Too bad you can’t blame that for your brain not being able to process the fact that a physical barrier ALONG WITH those technological advancements you mentioned would definitely work to reduce illegal immigration, as long as our government has the will to enforce the laws.
But of course, your brain somehow thinks that “new, comprehensive” laws will be enforced by the same government directed by anyone not named Trump.

Translation: WE ARE WINNING.
Millions are crossing every year, but NYC is still waiting year after year, President after President for “immigration laws to be enforced”.
I hit the nail on the head. I said for years that morons like NYC who thought WE ARE WINNING by not pursuing bipartisan immigration reform were just patsies buying time for the Dems, who were one election or one SCOTUS judge away from implementing their open borders policy.
While NYC was here campaigning on the idiocy of cutting LEGAL immigration by 50%, the Dems said thank you stupid ass, meanwhile we will just keep sending millions of ILLEGALS. We will keep expanding benefits for illegal, we will keep expanding sanctuary towns, cities and even states.
We are not winning, immigration laws have not been enforced for decades, not even under Trump. The Dems are winning. But they have the immigration deadenders to thank, they think WE ARE WINNING.

New studies?
The problem with these dumbed down health advisory websites is they often lack context and misrepresent or don’t completely represent appropriate information.
1st, define a cup. Usually by American standards, a cup is 6 to 8 ounces but most people supersize their drinks in the west. Most coffee mugs and servings from cafes are significantly larger, often twice the size or more of standard cup sizes used in actual studies.
Best to measure by how much mg of caffeine in each serving. About 100 mg per 8 ounces is normal for most coffee blends.
Also depends on body mass and timing of consumption. A man at 190 pounds consuming 4 cups of coffee vs a woman at 140 pounds can result in very different impacts on the body.
Metabolism is also a factor. That’s why excessive caffeine for teens is not good.
Also, drinking 4 cups all at once, such as in the AM vs spread evenly throughout the day impacts the body differently.
Also, depending what other drinks or foods caffeine interacts with is a factor.
People have gone into cardiac arrest or gotten dizzy and had difficulty breathing when consuming too much caffeine in a short time frame. The same with consuming caffeine with other drinks, foods, and substances.
Having a good visit to Walt’s oldest sone and family here in the snow covered, frozen tundra of northern WI. Walt is smoking a lot less cigars since it so cold outside and you cannot smoke in a rental vehicle unless you pay the $450 cleaning fee. 2 cigars a dy vs. 10 a day back home.
Actually, it was a little over 32 degrees here for a while today.
All 3 grandkids have grown much taller since we last saw them a year ago. One of the two big dogs (Hobbs) did not know us when we first came and barked at us and kept its distance. Old Buster remembered us and was very friendly, wanted to kiss us. Took a while for Hobbs to warm up to us, but we are buddies now.
jason – now do gun laws.
You are wrong. The laws are fine. The will of the government is not there, and your shiny new laws won’t make Democrats/media enforce them.
The same situation was seen in NYC until a chief executive reversed decades on non-enforcement.
You, and millions of other citizens are easy marks for “comprehensive immigration reform” campaign slogans from career politicians, and you haven’t learned a dang thing in all of your time here. Quite sad to see.
New studies are often influenced by the industry or who is paying for or advocating for them as well.
How do I know this, you ask the EXPERT?
Early in my career, I worked for a short stint for a communications company that specialized in putting together pamphlets and website data in health publications and websites. People with some biology, medical or health background, NOT specialized scientists or doctors, often were hired as editors to gather data from studies and dumb it down for public consumption. They had a lot of sway in what to say and how to say it.
It’s why you see many products NOW require labeling ”these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.”
People believe what you tell them, especially if it says it’s supported by a study or if it looks official or printed in a health publication or website.
It’s why so many quacks out there like Atkins or Kevin Trudeau can sell so many books and diet fads without completely identifying risks.
You are wrong. The laws are fine.”
WE ARE WINNING!
Finally on new studies.
New studies also say 20% of millennials worldwide are now LGBTQIA2S+
New studies also say over 50% of London millennials are LGBTQIA2S+
New studies show sperm count has fallen globally over 50% in a few decades.
New studies show 1/3 of women are raped.
New studies say the oceans will rise and displace billions in the next few decades.
New studies tell us we have less than a generation before permanent damage is done to the world by man-made actions.
New studies of years past told us we’d be entering a new ice age by the 21st century.
New studies of years past told us half the world would starve to death by the 21st century.
New studies told us there was a high risk of major computer systems failing on Jan 1st 2000 because past coding used YY instead of YYYY format. Remember, planes could fall out of the sky advisories by scientists?
New studies of years past told us eating eggs routinely will kill you.
The list goes on and on.
So I do not give much faith to new studies without context and repeated validation.
Leftists and greedy corporations tell us new studies say millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS will benefit and grow the US economy.
The more the merrier.
People have gone into cardiac arrest or gotten dizzy and had difficulty breathing when consuming too much caffeine in a short time frame.”

Reminds me of “the surgery was a success, but the patient died”.
Immigration laws have not worked and have not been enforced in decades. The results are that millions of illegals continue to cross our borders. The situation is getting steadily worse, not better.
But the “laws are fine”. They don’t work, they are not enforced, and they haven’t worked or been enforced in decades, but they are ‘fine”.
And no, Trump did not enforce immigration laws.
“Border Patrol recorded 41 percent more successful illegal entries in fiscal year 2019 than in 2016 and was on pace for 47 percent more through four months of 2020. As he left office in January, reports indicate that the numbers have reached even greater heights”
Putin’s associates just keep dying:
“Vladimir Putin’s top tank commander died suddenly over the weekend less than 24 hours after the Russian leader canceled a meeting to discuss weapon production for the war in Ukraine, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Alexei Maslov, the 69-year-old former Russian army commander and tank chief, passed away suddenly on Sunday in a Moscow military hospital.
Maslov and Putin were set to meet hours earlier at the former general’s machine-building plant in Nizhny Tagil before Putin canceled the meeting unexpectedly and “at the last minute.”
According to Daily Star, Maslov was criticized by both Putin and the Kremlin before his death for failing to produce enough tanks for Russian troops to use in Ukraine.
The outlet also reported that “nothing had been heard about Maslov’s health problems” leading up to his sudden death, and Russia’s Federal Security Service has since formed an “investigative group” to investigate what happened.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Maslov’s sudden passing on Sunday marks the latest high-profile Putin ally to die under mysterious circumstances since the war against Ukraine first started ten months ago.
Alexander Buzakov, a 65-year-old former general who, like Maslov, was in charge of producing weapons for Putin, passed away suddenly one day before Maslov on December 24.
Pavel Antov, who was named Russia’s “highest-earning elected politician” in 2019 as a result of his highly lucrative sausage tycoon, was also found dead under mysterious circumstances over the weekend after he fell out of a hotel room window while on holiday in India.
Two days before Antov’s death, a Russian named Vladimir Budanov who was also on holiday in India was found dead from an apparent heart attack.”

“Democrat Kris Mayes is the winner of Arizona’s attorney general race, a state judge announced Thursday.
Mayes defeated Republican Abraham Hamadeh by 280 votes after a mandatory recount was triggered due to how close they were separated after the initial tally in November, when Mayes led by roughly 500 votes out of 2.5 million cast.
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason unveiled the results of the recount in a hearing on Thursday.
Mayes’ lead from November was nearly halved in the recount. The results showed she had 1,254,809 votes to Hamadeh’s 1,254,529 votes.”

Like it or not, AMERIKA is in decline. It’s best years are behind it unless there is a drastic change in 2024 which is highly doubtful. China will rise up and lead the world by 2040 at this pace. Europe will reluctantly embrace them and turn away from its U.S. alliance.
The downturn of the US is what decades of indoctrinating kids with Indy and GOP parents ignoring the signs as their own children embraced leftist teachers and media over their parents.
I think when the history of the US’ decline is written, one major factor will be the parents that were too busy to positively counteract the radical messaging from the left that allowed their children to embrace leftist ideology in the 1st place.

Ray Epps is on video directing people to attack the Capitol
Ray Epps texted his nephew “I orchestrated it”
But if they changed him with incitement, they couldn’t indict Trump, so they protected Epps
Are you getting it yet?
7:45 AM · Dec 30, 2022
Tina – Too bad the protesters had responded to being directed to attack the Capitol did not say, “No thanks. We’ll stay outside.”
As I said on 1/6/2021, the people who stayed outside were protesters. The people who went inside were trespassers. Anybody who turned violent should have been arrested and prosecuted. I agree with you that most cases were overcharged and the sentences were beyond extreme,
Before you say BLM, I posted during those riots that rioters should be put down with overwhelming force.
Bitter, I think the piece of excrement should spend an hour with the fathers.
Chicon – An hour is too long. He would not last that long. Maybe 10 minutes for some brutal pain and then having a period of time to suffer waiting to get the needle.
But if the consensus is strong to let the families administer Justice, I won’t get in the way.
Bl, we don’t disagree, but Epps was protected by loon cheney and the cryer. They said he was a conspiracy.
He remains uncharged.
We need to investigate why the joke 6 commission of nobodies protected Epps.

With the recent revelations from Twitter, we now know, without any doubt, the REAL enemy of the US is the FBI and DOJ. It was them, NOT Russia that interfered and resulted in a changed election in 2020.
Like I said previously, the US best days are behind it. The country is very polarized and half the country is just fine with gubbermint people, a.k.a. The Deep State, interfering in elections and prosecuting US citizens they deem their enemies.
China is licking its lips as it positions itself to displace the US, as many of our politicians, including in the GOP help prop them up.

Bitterlaw and jason to reflexively defend the FBI,”
Zzzz…. the FBI has essential crime prevention roles that simplistic morons like NYC want to ignore. Spying, murders, kidnapping, counterfeiting, drugs, sex trafficking, and all kinds of other crimes come under the responsibility of the FBI and only a low IQ idiot like NYC thinks that is not necessary.
I don’t defend any wrongdoing by a politicized FBI.
GFY.
So how many investigations of murders, sex trafficking, spying, drug cartels, etc. does NYC want to stop? Please give an exact number.
“Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday promoted an editorial suggesting that he run as a third-party candidate if the Republican Party does not make him its 2024 presidential nominee.
On his Truth Social website, Trump posted a link to an editorial from the pro-MAGA publication American Greatness in which author Dan Gelernter compared Trump to the late Teddy Roosevelt, whose unsuccessful third-party bid in 1912 handed the White House to Democrat Woodrow Wilson.
Gelernter concedes that Trump running as a third-party candidate in 2024 would likely also hand Democrats the White House, but suggests it would be worth it to teach the Republican Party a lesson about defying its base.”
Does Eva Braun make a cameo appearance in Trump’s bunker?
if Trump ran as a 3rd party candidate, like millions of others, I’d definitely consider voting for him. He has more experience and would be a better POTUS than any GOP politician in consideration thus far, especially given that it is not likely any GOP politician other than Trump could win the WH in 2024 so if I’m gonna waste my vote in 2024, better to waste it on a 3rd party candidate I strongly support who won’t win than a GOP nominee I find luke-warm who won’t win either.
Criminals of all types are going to be sending coffee mugs to NYC. He will be able to open a coffee mug mall.

The TDS morons want a GOP civil war. Sometimes you reap what you sow.
Tucker Carlson’s Defense of Andrew Tate Resurfaces After Influencer’s Arrest in Sex Trafficking, Rape Case”
I never heard of Andrew Tate just like I never had heard of Nick Fuentes.
But Amoral Scumbag, who thinks Michael Avenatti is the moral compass for America, is certain that somehow there is guilt by association here like when he tried to make Trump an anti-semite.
ina – Too bad the protesters had responded to being directed to attack the Capitol did not say, “No thanks. We’ll stay outside.”
Actually the vast majority did just that and heede Trump’s clear admonition to protest ‘peacefully and patriotically. There were hundreds of thousands there and 700 people entered the Capitol.
I don’t think anyone here is calling for dismantling the FBI and DOJ but major overhaul is needed to ensure gubbermint agencies do NOT interfere and influence a presidential election EVER again and target US citizens they perceive as a threat to their interests.
Other people routinely go to jail for what employees of the FBI and DOJ are doing. How can any American support such agencies and not call for major reform?

So anybody who does not vote for Trump in the primaries for any reason wants a civil war? I love it here.
I think every candidate should answer every question in the debates and start every speech by saying “I think Trump was a very good President. He was unfairly and viciously targeted by Democrats, the MSM and rouge elements of the government. His supporters are awesome people. That said, I am running because of X, Y, Z and appreciate your consideration….”
Pope Benedict dead at 95.
Good riddance to this man who betrayed children and protected pedophile priests

No GOP candidate can ever admit that because admitting Trump was an awesome president that was viciously targeted and denied a 2nd term would be the same as endorsing him as the best candidate.
What will their next line be? Trump was a great president but vote for me instead even though I have no equivalent experience.
That is what the X, Y, Z is for. If you believe that nobody else should run and only Trump can be the nominee, just say it. Don’t dance for thousands of posts. It is a legitimate point of view so just own it.

And of course Bitter can come up with any post from the TDs morons that says that either.
Cannot come up with any post.
Anyone that challenges Trump in a primary by 1st acknowledging his success as president and demonization by libs but thinks they are better qualified to be POTUS can be analogized as a guy who has never been quarterback suggesting Tom Brady step aside for him in a Super Bowl game so they can quarterback instead.
It makes ABSOLUTELY no sense to rally around such a person. It defies common sense.

And the efforts to sway the outcome of two presidential elections were not highly organized and disciplined.
Putin is using Russian Orthodox Churches as spy centers. No wonder the Ukrainian took action:
“This comes on the heels of a raid by Ukrainian officials on the 1,000-year-old Kyiv Monastery of the Caves under suspicion that the UNESCO World Heritage site, which remains under the authority of the Patriarchate of Moscow, is being used as a base for Russian intelligence and military operations. Ukrainian security forces are calling it a success, claiming to have found cash in various currencies, Russian propaganda, and “dubious” Russian citizens inside the monastery—you know, the stuff you’re likely to find in a center for espionage.
The raid was the most recent and visible example of a growing concern that the Russian Orthodox Church is operating as more than an instrument of soft power for the Putin-regime, but might actually be involved in subordinating Russian counter-intelligence activities. Though this sounds like a paranoid, dystopian delusion, it’s not without evidence.
In Norway, the Russian Orthodox Church has been buying property with unnerving proximity to key military installations since 2016. It was also in 2016 that the Russian Orthodox Church opened its “spiritual center” in the heart of Paris, which is widely suspected of serving as a base for Russian intelligence. And in Finland, where the Orthodox Church of Finland (an autonomous church under the authority of the Patriarchate of Constantinople) enjoys the status of being one of two national churches, there are whispers that a church under the jurisdiction of Moscow was recently turned into a “listening post” for Russian intelligence.”

SDC with his continued propaganda for the Zelenskyy regime and its abusive and dictatorial leadership now criminalizing Christianity in Ukraine after taking over all the media, violations of prisoners of war, executing critics without trials, and selling US weapons to terrorists for cash.
So because some rogue elements of the Russian Church may be supporting Pootin, it’s OK to shut down the entire religion in the country?
All religions have corrupt and rogue elements. It would be like the US gubbermint outlawing Catholicism because of the pedophile abuse by gay priests or outlawing the practice of Islam because of rogue elements in some mosques.
As others have noted here, SDC is not rationale when it comes to Ukraine. He is a lapdog and tries to excuse all their corruption away.
This is disgusting!
TX Supreme Court allows mother pushing transitioning on her young son full parental rights. She can now take him to CA for transitioning which her husband tried to stop.
I’ve been following this case for some time. The mother clearly indoctrinated her little boy, a toddler, to believe he wants to be a girl. It’s even on video where he says his mom told him he’s a girl but the courts don’t care.
The groomers and their supporters are winning if states like TX can allow a parent to do this. Probably 80% of gays support grooming now. There is a small minority of us gays that don’t. But most gays, like SDC and friends try to normalize many of these gay behaviors for selfish reasons, and could care less about the harm to others. It’s why they don’t speak up against it but defend gays when they’re criticized.

Jason and Tgca said exactly what I said. They believe the only way to avoid a civil war is nominate Trump.
As I noted before, attacking Trump in a primary would end up being be a repeat of the Taft/Roosevelt/Wilson election in one way or another. The Dems win without a doubt.
i’m not sure the US can survive another 4 years of a Biden presidency without doing irreparable harm to the country.
Jason and Tgca said exactly what I said. They believe the only way to avoid a civil war is nominate Trump.”
LOL, that is a baldfaced lie and Bitter knows it.
I would like to see the Golden Calf as the nominee.
But I think you need a unified GOP to win the GE and that won’t happen if Trump and his voters keep getting attacked and disparaged by the TDS morons.
Your suggestion of how it should be approached in #573 is actually pretty good, not sure why you are supporting the TDS morons.
#572
And BTW, contrary to Tgca I would not vote for Trump as third party candidate.
But like Tgca, I think if that happened, the R elitists might just be reapingd what they sow.
Wanting somebody other than Trump is not an automatic attack on Trump’s supporters. If somebody prefers Noem or DeSantis that does not automatically mean they hate Trump. Jason knows this.
I want somebody other than Trump.
But do you really deny that the TDs morons here and elsewhere hate Trump and his supporters?
Seriously?
Putin Brigade ignores rampant anti-semitism in Russia while pretending to be offended at Zelensky curbing rogue pro-Putin churches in Ukraine.
“Exiled Moscow chief rabbi to Russian Jews: Get out before Putin scapegoats you
“When we look back over Russian history, whenever the political system was in danger you saw the government trying to redirect the anger and discontent of the masses towards the Jewish community,” Pinchas Goldschmidt told the Guardian. “We saw this in tsarist times and at the end of the Stalinist regime.”
“We’re seeing rising antisemitism while Russia is going back to a new kind of Soviet Union, and step by step the iron curtain is coming down again. This is why I believe the best option for Russian Jews is to leave,” he added.
Goldschmidt resigned from his post and left Russia in July after refusing to back the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“Pressure was put on community leaders to support the war and I refused to do so. I resigned because to continue as chief rabbi of Moscow would be a problem for the community because of the repressive measures taken against dissidents,” he said

Zelenskyy signed a decree outlawing Russian Christian churches on December 2nd. His corrupt justice department is also investigating about a thousand church leaders according to European news reports.
He has complete control of the media in Ukraine. Nothing gets out without his spin on it. The Ukrainian media is as trustworthy as the Russian media.
This is not how democracies run even during war time. I know of no circumstances where REAL democracies had their leadership completely take over the media, even during war time.
Again, what he has done is the equivalent of the US outlawing Catholic Churches or Mosques and going after religious leaders associated with those organizations.
If you don’t see how this is wrong, then I don’t know what to say.
As a Christian, I find this repulsive.
There is ONE person in America seeing Noem as a GOP nominee for President.
That sine individual contributes here.
How absurd have things gotten here?
VERY.
Noem has been just as successful and ahead of the curve in her state as any other GOP gubbernor and she got re-elected with 27% point lead.
She has led on every MAJOR issue that DeSanctimonius has led on BEFORE him and plus some issues that he has yet to act on.
Why should Ronaldo be considered presidential material and not her?
Is it because she is a woman?
I hate Trump. I like his supporters. Both can be true.
Trump got my vote in 2016 and 2020. He will get it again in 2024 if he is the nominees. That said, I do not bow to him or kiss his ring.
Zelenskyy signed a decree outlawing Russian Christian churches on December 2nd.”

Just my 2 cents.

I NEVER said he outlawed Catholicism. He outlawed an entire group of Christians simply because some leaders in the church are supporters of Pootin.
That would be like GWB outlawing Islam in the US during his presidency because some Islamic leaders in the US supported the terrorists we were at war with.
It is indefensible.
612
Right now, my preference is Hawley, Jordan, Noem as 1st tier in 2024 if Trump doesn’t run.
The Pope referred the this clown as “Putin’s alter boy.”
“Russian Patriarch Kirill Says Dying In Ukraine ‘Washes Away All Sins”
Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church, has told his followers that “sacrifice in the course of carrying out your military duty washes away all sins.”
The patriarch’s comments during his Sunday sermon on September 25 came amid nationwide protests and rising criticism over the Kremlin’s recent announcement of a partial mobilization to replenish Russian forces fighting in Ukraine.
* * *
Kirill, a prominent supporter of President Vladimir Putin who has “blessed” the war effort and warned by Pope Francis against becoming “Putin’s altar boy,” has previously claimed that Russians were doing a “heroic deed” by killing Ukrainians, even as he has urged them not to see the Ukrainian people as enemies.
“We know that many today are dying in the fields of internecine battle,” Kirill said at a church near Moscow on September 25. “The church is praying that this battle will end as soon as possible, that as few brothers as possible will kill each other in this fratricidal war.”
However, he added, “The church realizes that if someone, driven by a sense of duty and the need to honor his oath, stays loyal to his vocation and dies while carrying out his military duty, then he is, without any doubt, doing a deed that is equal to sacrifice.”
After Putin announced the military mobilization on September 21, Kirill was quoted by Russian state media as saying that “danger looms over the Ukrainian people,” claiming that unidentified forces were trying to turn them from being “part of the holy united Rus into a state hostile to this Rus, hostile to Russia.”
Reread 572 and then GFY. I do not want a civil war.
Maybe Jason can explain why he wants somebody other than Trump.
615
Popes have been protecting gay priests raping little boys for decades, probably centuries so should the US ban the practice of Catholicism by millions at churches because of these leaders?
Certain US Islamic leaders supported Bin Laden and other terrorists so should the U.S. ban the practice of Islam at Mosques by millions?
Unilaterally canceling the right of millions to practice their religion because the state leader perceives church leaders as his personal enemy is what dictators do, not what democracies do.
Add to that taking over the country’s media, selling US weapons to terrorists, executing political adversaries without a trial, and committing war crimes against prisoners of war solidifies why half the world is against this dictator wanna-be.
The US may be making the same mistakes it did when it backed, supported and funded Saddam Hussein in the early 80s.
616
Bitter finally admits he does not want the civil war in Ukraine that’s been going on for nearly a decade that Pootin falsely used as an excuse for invading Ukraine.
Glad to see Bitter is against Civil Wars.
The sad little clown finally admits that Putin had no reason to invade Ukraine. It only took 10 months and thousands of murdered and millions of displaced Ukrainians.
Stupid comment about GWB in 1…2…3…
619
Unfortunately, the elitist wokester is wrong again like with his classic, “depression is a weakness” statement since many posts at HHR will show from day one I was against Russia invading Ukraine and thought Pootin should be kicked out by his butt, including using boots on the ground.
Sp if you persist to make such FALSE statements, I can easily repost numerous posts to show my position and expose you as the lying losah FOOL that you are.
Even a mediocre lawyer like you should know that hard evidence in writing easily disputes FALSE accusations.
619. The little clown claims it is a civil war in the Ukraine. There are no major Ukrainian units fighting on Putin’s side. Putin had to draft tens of thousands of Russians to continue his invasive. The Russians have committed genocide in the Ukraine and are indiscriminately bombing civilians in cities. If he is not assassinated, hopefully Putin will be put on trial for war crimes.
TGCA’s nominees are1 Nobody 2 Nobody 3 Nobody for the GOP nomination.

It is so sad and pathetic.
621
The Caleefawnyuh gay fascist supporter of grooming pedophiles evidently needs a refresher course in reading comprehension. I was referring to the Civil War prior to Russian invasion that will most likely resume after the Russian invasion is over because the two areas have already claimed independence from Ukraine years prior to the Russian invasion and will not likely give that up. That was my point.
622
DeSanctimonius has been dropping in recent polls. Notice how since the Twitter files have been released, Trump is getting more positive press on being right AGAIN.
DeSanctimonius was a nobody until the left made him known by challenging him and mocking him for The Don’t Say Gay bill last year, his major political achievement. Without that, he’d still be a relatively unknown.
…and just remember both Bill Clinton and Obama were pretty much NOBODY’s when they came on the scene against more known figures expected to win, and how did that work out?
What’s a matter Gordy? You getting nervous because 2 months after the election the allure is starting to fade on DeSanctimonius?

Trump is too old to be the face of the GOP’s future.
However, the coalition he built and new R voters he brought to the table will be essential for the GOP to win future elections.
The GOP can win as a populist working class party.
It will lose as the party of suburban elites.
If the Golden Calf understands this, he could win. I will be more optimistic of his chances once I know what kind of coalition he wants to appeal to.

“WASHINGTON (AP) — Black voters have been a steady foundation for Democratic candidates for decades, but that support appeared to show a few cracks in this year’s elections.
Republican candidates were backed by 14% of Black voters, compared with 8% in the last midterm elections four years ago, according to AP VoteCast, an extensive national survey of the electorate.
In Georgia, Republican Gov. Brian Kemp more than doubled his support among Black voters to 12% in 2022 compared with 5% four years ago, according to VoteCast. He defeated Democrat Stacey Abrams both times.
If that boost can be sustained, Democrats could face headwinds in 2024 in Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, where presidential and Senate races are typically decided by narrow margins and turning out Black voters is a big part of Democrats’ political strategy.”
Does Trump get credit for the increase in the black vote?
After all, according to Cash Cow and the TDS morons, he was “on the ballot” even though he was not on the ballot.
It will be fun to see the TDS morons twist themselves into a pretzel, because after all supposedly it was Trump’s fault the GOP didn’t meet expectation during the midterms.
Maybe the “Republican” wine sipping white women in the suburbs voted for Dems but some blacks understood the Dems were taking them for granted?
Yes, there is a message there….

So what’s for dinner today Jadon?
Perhaps Mrs. Jadon can make you F*ggots or F*g Chicken. I’m sure you’ll enjoy either one. Recipes below.
F*ggots are meatballs made from minced off-cuts and offal, especially pork (traditionally pig’s heart, liver, and fatty belly meat or bacon) together with herbs for flavouring and sometimes added bread crumbs
F*g chicken is roasted chicken with lemon inserted in the rear of the chicken. It is a Portuguese cuisine.
Wow!
Over 500 homicides in the BAD part of Philly in 2022. That’s like 25% higher than NYC, a city that has 5 times the population of Philly.

What a crock of BS!
Pope Benedict ‘Did More Than Any of His Predecessors’ to Tackle Child Sexual Abuse
A little too late if you ask me, especially when he did NOTHING against pedophile gay priests under his own dominion in Germany.
He only acted once the scandal got out of hand and focus on the church was so intense that it could no longer be ignored.
It was more about damage control than looking out for children’ interests.

I have had both in Portugal, good st-ff. They also have a stew made of pork innards in pork blood. Delicious.
Of course, scrapple is also based on pork offal, so I think I had my offal share for the day.
Lunch today will be more mundane. Roasted brisket with my proprietary homemade horseradish sauce and my wife’s barley casserole (yeah, I am concentrating on the brisket). Washed down with some Duvel Belgian Golden Ale. It is heavy, bitter, and high alcohol content (8.5%), so win-win-win.
Over 500 homicides in the BAD part of Philly in 2022.”
According to Bitter, these stats only apply to Bad Philadelphia and not to the whole city, because “some neighborhoods have less crime than others”.
It is perfectly ok to have high crime in the worst neighborhoods because some neighborhoods have less crime. I read it here at HHR.
My wife asked should I be drinking Duvels after 3 Bloody Marys and what happened to the vow (coerced) to drink less in 2023.
I told her I am transitioning into less alcohol, Rome was not built in a day.

Jadon had f*ggots and f*gs in Portugal and loved it? OMG!
I KNEW IT!!!
Anyone that fixated with meat, especially pork, talking about it all the time, is definitely questionable.
So now we know why Jadon travels outside the US so much. He goes outside the US to get himself f*ggots and f*gs.
I hope Mrs. Jadon does not read HHR today. My heart goes out to her.
Shhhhhh….
The Caleefawnyuh gay fascist to call this sourced info from the Pootin lapdog NYT (*sarc*) more Russian propaganda in 3, 2, 1…
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a bill on Thursday that broadened his government’s control over the media, expanding state-sponsored regulation over news disseminated in print and online.
The New York Times reports, “Mr. Zelensky, whose administration has been accused of undermining press freedom in recent years, ordered the drafting of a law increasing media regulation in 2019,” three years before Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.
NYT:
Previous drafts gave the regulator the power to fine news media outlets, revoke their licenses, temporarily block certain online outlets without a court order and request that social media platforms and search giants like Google remove content that violates the law,

Welcome to the club Jadon!
Nothing wrong if you love f*gs abd f*ggots! Just ask SDC.
HHR 1st gay outing for 2023. I’m soooo EXCITED!
My! How far we’ve come at HHR over nearly 2 decades. I remember when it was a place with a bunch of bigots and red-necks but now look at us.
I no longer feel so alone.
I guess those recent studies showing like 20% of people being LGBTQIA2S+ and over 50% of millennials in London being limp-wristed can no longer be questioned.
I wonder who will come out next at HHR. Hmm…
They seem to “be always on the fibs radar screen,” but they fail to prevent the attacks.
According to FOX News: Trevor Bickford was on the FBI radar and recently converted to Islam.
A high-level police source also tells Fox News Digital that Bickford was being watched by the FBI’s counterterrorism task force in the weeks leading up to Saturday’s attack. The source also said Bickford recently converted to Islam and a tipster claimed he had expressed interest in going to Afghanistan.
So the fact I liked the Portuguese dishes Tgca described outs me as gay?
That is why I come here, you learn so much that isn’t true.
651
i am not going to get all nuanced into 68+ known gender identities but…
..lIf you’ve had f*gs and f*ggots, and loved it, as you proclaimed…
YES! You are gay.
“Previous drafts gave the regulator the power to fine news media outlets, revoke their licenses, temporarily block certain online outlets without a court order and request that social media platforms and search giants like Google remove content that violates the law”
Zzzzz.. sounds exactly like the US.
Meanwhile, Putin has actually shut down all opposition channels PERMANENTLY and jailed people for even calling his invasion a “war”. There is no free press of ANY kind in Russia. None. It is a complete dictatorship with no dissension allowed.
But he gets a pass from Putin sycophant toadie lapdog Tgca, no problem there. The problem is Zelensky’s modest efforts to control pro-Russian propaganda in Ukraine.
I oppose all forms of censorship. But comparing Ukraine to Russia when it comes to censorship is like comparing a dinghy to a cruise ship.
YES! You are gay”
Damm, I don’t know how my wife and kids will take this.
But I am going to have to be truthful, I will have to say it is because I said I liked two Portuguese dishes someone described on the Internet.
Full disclosure is always best.

I don’t give Pootin a pass. I’ve stated numerous times that he behaves as a dictator. No doubt about it. That’s obvious so no need to point that out any more than pointing out AOC is a leftist socialist over and over. It’s a given!
But I will continue to point out the similarities between Zelenskyy and Pootin for the Zelenskyy sycophants here in denial, just like I had to point out the lies and corruption of Dr. Fow-chee to some here who idolized and worshipped him early on but no longer preach his glory based on what we now know.
Radicalized white blonde Islamic Jihadist who attacked and stabbed police officers in NYC last night.
Check out the pics of him and his very white family, including his brother who is serving in the military. He looks like he is from Radnor or Bergen County.
I feel bad for his family who will be in for a world of pain dealing with his betrayal. Their life is about to become very stressful.

TIME Magazine: Exercise in U.S. Originated as ‘White Supremacy’ Project, Wrong to Presume Fat People ‘Not Fit’
Fat people are NOT fit! That’s absurd to imply that. Talk about misleading information.
Study after study for decades show that obesity is not healthy and a high risk factor in almost every disease with much shorter life spans.
Look at our friend Jadon, he is obese from all the grease, fat, and salt he consumes and he has severe cardiovascular disease because of it and now he has to take heart medication to sustain his life, denying his poor wife of the insurance she so rightly deserves.
Have you ever competed in sports and seen fat people perform compared to non-fat people? How many fat people can do a triathlon or win sprint up a hill?
How many fat people do you see in their 90s?
This is ludicrous!

SoHopeLess is just upset because as more time passes from the midterms, DeSanctimonius is not only falling in the polls but media interest in him is dwindling as Trump is getting more exposure and the American public is now seeing through the Twitter files the election was rigged against him, an election he would have otherwise won, once again proving Trump right.
Look at the amount of new stories on DeSanctimonius today compared to a month ago.
DeSanctimonius needs to pass another anti-grooming bill or anti-Disney bill to get attention and be relevant again since he’s not getting any other traction these days.
Here’s why we need to get serious about China sooner than later, as they are the greatest threat to the future of the US. China could end up claiming rights on the moon as the US falls behind in technology if we don’t get our priorities straight soon.
The race to the moon between the United States and China is getting tighter and the next two years could determine who gains the upper hand.
So says NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, who warns that Beijing could establish a foothold and try to dominate the most resource-rich locations on the lunar surface — or even keep the U.S. out.

If this is true, this is reprehensible and the US should publicly scold Zelenskyy for trying to bribe one of its closest allies.
Zelenskyy tries to force Netanyahu to provide them military aid in exchange for supporting them at the UN.
So Ukraine wants others to support them as a democratic free state but is not willing to support other free democratic states like Israel unless they can get something in exchange.
Ukraine just gave Israel a big GFY. This proves once and for all how corrupt Zelenskyy is. He’s willing to sell out Israel because he did not get what he wanted, all while selling weapons to terrorists for cash.
During the call with Netanyahu, Zelensky said that in exchange for voting against the resolution or abstaining, he wanted to hear how the new Israeli government would change its policy and provide Ukraine with defense systems against Russian attacks using ballistic missiles and Iranian-made drones, a Ukrainian official told Axios.
The Ukrainian official said Netanyahu didn’t commit to anything but said he was ready to discuss Zelensky’s requests in the future.
According to the Ukrainian official, Zelensky didn’t like the answer and didn’t agree to vote against the resolution or abstain. Instead, he instructed Ukraine’s ambassador to the UN to not attend the vote.

No Jadon! This is not some minor tit for tat.
This UN resolution goes to Israel’s ability to peacefully exist and protect itself on its own land.
The UN vote passed and will now go to the World Court for a decision on Israel as an ILLEGAL occupier of its own land. See the summary UN resolution below.
Ukraine sat out the vote NOT because it had moral reservations over the issue but because Israel won’t give them weapons. It was spiteful.
That’s reprehensible!
WE all know these types of resolutions just foment more antisemitism around the world because it legitimizes an excuse for antisemitic violence and paints Israel as an aggressor state.
Perhaps the US and Europe should sit out a vote at the UN over whether Russia is an occupier of Ukraine and see how Zelenskyy likes it.
It’s DESPICABLE and stands against freedom and democracy and only cements further why Zelenskyy can’t be trusted as a friend to democracy, especially as he sells out his own Jewish people.
“Israeli practices and settlement activities affecting the rights of the Palestinian people and other Arabs of the occupied territories”
…calls on the Hague-based ICJ to “render urgently an advisory opinion” on Israel’s “prolonged occupation, settlement and annexation of Palestinian territory.”
It also calls for an investigation into Israeli measures “aimed at altering the demographic composition, character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem” and says Israel has adopted “discriminatory legislation and measures.”
The resolution demands the court weigh in on the conflict in accordance with international law and the UN charter.
I would like to know who at HHR would either support or abstain from a vote on the UN resolution outlined in 694.
Anyone that believes it’s ok to support this UN resolution or abstain from voting is no friend to democracy, and a coward in the latter, knowing this will foment more antisemitism around the world.
Israel has a right to exist!
Israel has a right to protect itself!
Israel should not be forced to provide financial aid and weaponry in order to buy a vote to stand up for democracy.
Ukraine’s actions against Israel shows it’s no friend to democracy but we already knew that from its vast corruption.
A drowning man will reach for anything to keep him afloat…all the Zelinsky worship is a little over the top but the Zelinsky hatred is straight up BS.
Let your country be overrun by a nuclear country orders of magnitude more powerful than you and have hit squads come to assassinate you and see if you don’t try to get help from every place possible by hook or by crook. One of the reasons I wholeheartedly support Israel is basically all their neighbors say they aren’t a real country and should be absorbed. They aren’t much different than Ukraine in that regard.
Yes Ukraine has corruption…so does the country invading them and many jurisdictions here in the US. Keep sending dollars but also send an army of accountants to account for every dollar and every stinger missile. Degrading Russia’s military at pennies on the dollar and with Ukrainian blood is a bargain, frankly. We also need to be getting guarantees for US companies to get contracts to rebuild and rearm them afterwards at least in proportion to our aid and negotiate cheaper rates for the US for acting as the agent for US construction, banking and military industrial complex.
I can call you a self-righteous @ss and it not cause me any issues”

Actually, he is not wrong, but it was ONE of the problems.
And he was talking about rigid pro-lifers that did not allow for any exceptions, not pro-lifers in general.
Many here, including Bitter, said Dobbs would hurt Rs with suburban women. I was less positive but after seeing the Dems spent 500 million on the issue vs. 25 million for Rs Trump is probably right that it had an impact.
Abortion with no exceptions is a losing issue.
I think most Americans would be ok with 15-20 weeks and I would support that standard.
Amoral Scumbag can GFH.
701
So you would support any nation that voted similarly against such a vote of Russian at the UN then as well….riiiiiiiight?
You’d be ok with the US abstaining from a vote on Russia as an aggressor state against Ukraine.
Good to know.
Tgca hardest hit.
“Ukraine has claimed that its armed forces killed 400 Russians and injured 300 more in a missile attack on New Year’s Eve.
The attack was on a Russian military base in occupied Makiivka in Donetsk Oblast. The Department of Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made the claim on Telegram. The Russian-installed administration of the Donetsk region in Ukraine said on Sunday that at least 25 rockets were fired at the region in the attack. …
Igor Girkin, a former commander of pro-Russian troops in east Ukraine who, according to the Independent, has become one of the highest profile Russian nationalist military bloggers, acknowledged the death toll was in the hundreds.
You’d be ok with the US abstaining from a vote on Russia as an aggressor state against Ukraine.”
No, I don’t see that as in our interest.
Ukraine is free to leverage its vote to get weapons for its survival.
As Chicon pointed out, anything less would be dereliction of duty by Zelinsky.
So if you don’t speak out against or agree with Jadon on the desired level of criticism of Russia, you’re a Pootin lapdog…
…but if you don’t speak out against antisemitism and Israel’s right to exist and protect itself, thats OK…you’re entitled to your view and it should be respected.
That’s HYPOCRISY!
706
So if Zelenskyy asks the US for advanced weaponry, and the U.S. refuses, then Ukraine should abstain from votes at the UN calling the US an aggressor and occupying state?
How about if Ukraine asks the US to send ground troops to fight the Russians?
Would that change your mind?
707
Chicon is wrong on this. He supports selling out Israel, a strategic interest and great friend to the US.
Asking is one thing, but voting against a democracy knowing it will lead to more antisemitism and excuses to use violence against Israel is another.
It was a spiteful action and one Israel should not forget.
706
But you think it’s in the interest of Ukraine and the US to have Ukraine NOT support Israel against being labeled an aggressor and occupying state?
What’s the difference?
Russia is accused of aggression and occupation, as is Israel. According to the UN, they are equivalent now, as the UN has asked the World Court to weigh in on it ASAP!
I was about to post about Trump’s stupid attack on the pro life community.
Is everyone SURE he’s actually running,or just claiming to for show.
He can’t open his mouth without alienating someone.
Nobody is that politically dense, even Trump.
Perhaps he’s bitter because he knows he has no chance at the nomination or re election( which he doesn’t),and no longer cares and just vents.
He’s as done as burnt toast, and it’s painfully obvious.
705
I’m not hardest hit. I have always been against the Russian invasion from day one.
In fact, I took a more aggressive position than you. I called for US and European boots on the ground from day one and NFZ to stop the invasion, as long as the coalition was led by Europe since they have the most skin in the game in their backyard.
You were too afraid to support that. Your strategy was let’s just keep sending money and weapons…weapons we now know are getting into the hands of terrorists and criminal organizations in Europe and Africa which means they are being sold to them by corrupt factions within Ukraine.
So it’s good to know that Jadon supports Israel’s right to exist and defend itself BUT only when Zelenskyy says so.
Zelenskyy just showed Israel that Ukraine is no friend to it.
Jadon just showed Israel his support of them is conditional.
ok. I have to go out and get some tofu before the stores sell out.
Evidently, people go tofu shopping after church on Sundays I noticed.
I was about to post about Trump’s stupid attack on the pro life community.”
Funny, for years I said here (and was relentlessly attacked) that Trump was “pro-life” for convenience when actually he had a record of stating he was for partial birth abortion.
But I do give Trump a pass here, he clearly is referring to hard line abortion deadenders against ANY exceptions and I agree with him. That stance cost the R party votes, polls do show that. The R party should have run more ads explaining that Hobbs was merely returning power on the issue to the states and not let the Dems rule the narrative that abortion was being made illegal.
So if Zelenskyy asks the US for advanced weaponry, and the U.S. refuses, then Ukraine should abstain from votes at the UN calling the US an aggressor and occupying state?
How about if Ukraine asks the US to send ground troops to fight the Russians?
Would that change your mind?”
No.
Ukraine is a sovereign nation being invaded, that is why we are assisting it and it is our interest geopolitically to do so.
Ukraine is free to vote how it wants in the UN and live with the consequences. It is free to leverage its vote to assist in its own survival.
Jadon just showed Israel his support of them is conditional.”
No, my support is actually unconditional.
Ukraine’s support might be conditional.
Not that difficult to understand.

Remember proxy wars never end well for the US.
The MAGA magic of 2016 is gone from Trumps campaign thus far.
The MAGA magic of 2016 is gone from Trumps campaign thus far.”
What MAGA magic of 2016?
You are an idiot.
I have been out of the country in a full blown socialist ruling government European city”
And you didn’t stay?
Seems like you would fit right in.
There are some Trump loyal pro life voters that are very disappointed today.”
Zzzzz… we know you aren’t one of them.
The New York Post editorial board wrote:
“….THE $48 BILLION WE’VE SENT UKRAINE OVER 2022 IS NOT WHAT’S DRIVING OUR FISCAL CRISIS; PRETENDING IT IS TO SCORE POLITICAL POINTS AS CIVILIANS DIE IS BEYOND CONTEMPTIBLE. AND THE CHILDISH ATTACKS ON ZELENSKY ARE PROOF POSITIVE HIS CRITICS KNOW THEY HAVE NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE TO OFFER.
INDEED, THE GOP’S “AMERICA FIRST” WING PRETENDS UKRAINE IS SOMEHOW AT FAULT FOR PUTIN’S WAR AND UNDESERVING OF OUR HELP — A CONSENSUS AS DIVORCED FROM REALITY AS THE LEFT’S PUSH FOR A RAPID NEGOTIATED END TO THE HOSTILITIES, EVEN ON RUSSIA’S TERMS (WHICH AMOUNT TO WEAKENING UKRAINE AND LETTING MOSCOW GET SET TO TAKE THE REST LATER).”
Remember proxy wars never end well for the US.”
Translation: I am devastated my hero Putin hasn’t prevailed yet.
THE LEFT’S PUSH FOR A RAPID NEGOTIATED END TO THE HOSTILITIES,”
Not only the left, there are plenty of Putin sycophants and toadies on the right too, starting with chief Putin spokesman Tucker Carlson, the star of Russian State TV.
‘Negotiated end” = “total surrender and capitulation to the Russians”.
America declared independence from Great Britain in part because it was not granted representation in Parliament. It sought aid from monarchies that were not democratic in any way.
Zelensky’s critics hardest hit.
I can think of “proxy wars” where the US was very successful with its military aid.
Israel is certainly a good example. All the aid we have given Israel has certainly been well spent and instrumental in Israel winning several wars and continuing to thrive.
Lend-lease was another example. In today’s money, the aid to the UK and Russia and other allies totaled over $720 billion and was instrumental in defeating Hitler and keeping the UK from being invaded.
And the “proxy war” in Ukraine has certainly been successful so far in keeping Putin from annexing Ukraine.
I know that is why JeffP is triggered.
For you fascist apologists… Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed into law a controversial statute expanding the government’s power to regulate media groups and journalists in the country.
Zelensky signed the legislation on Thursday over the objections of media unions and press freedom organizations that warned it will have a chilling effect on free speech.
Under the new law, the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council, whose members are appointed by the president’s administration and by members of parliament, will have broader authority over Ukrainian media organizations and journalists.
The regulatory agency can effectively shut down news sites that aren’t registered, according to The Kyiv Independent.
In a statement last month, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine said the bill posed a “threat” to press freedom in the country.
“Such powers are clearly excessive,” the organization wrote. “No one has yet managed to tame freedom of speech in Ukraine. It won’t work this time either.”
Zelensky’s administration has been accused of suppressing press freedom. He first ordered the drafting of a new law to boost media regulation in 2019, the year he entered office.
The law was passed along with several other new statutes lawmakers say are required in order to become eligible for European Union membership, which Ukraine applied for last year.
2023 and Jason Is still a ignorant a$$hole who interprets intellectual honesty as lies and picks fights with complete strangers on the internet.
More examples of successful “proxy wars”.
Military aid to South Korea has certainly
been a deterrent to an invasion from the North.
“The ROK Armed Forces is one of the largest and most powerful standing armed forces in the world with a reported personnel strength of 3,305,000 in 2020 (555,000 active and 2,750,000 reserve). As a result of its size and equipment, it is ranked the 6th most powerful military on the planet by the Global Firepower Index as of 2022.”
Military aid to Colombia was instrumental in defeating the FARC guerillas and the Medellin Cartel of Pablo Escobar.
731 WTH are you talking about. Israel won every war including 67, 73 etc…all on their own. They had very little help from US. You don’t know geo politics or history.
WW 2 was no proxy war. Lend lease didn’t help stop Hitler. The US military did.
Jason…stop you have no idea what you are talking about. The Korean War? Colombia oh yea one of our great allies…BS.
For you fascist apologists… Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed into law a controversial statute expanding the government’s power to regulate media groups and journalists in the country.”
As compared to your hero communist dictator Putin that does not allow any dissension of any kind is allowed? Did you know you can be jailed for 15 years in Russia for calling the Ukraine invasion a war?
You are a moron who thinks there is freedom of the press in Russia but calls others “ignorant”?
Comparing restrictions in Ukraine to the complete stifling of dissent in Russia is like comparing a rubber raft with the Titanic.
War sucks. God knows we couldn’t handle what the Ukrainians have to endure. My heart goes out to them. 143 Billion at this point after Covid spending and our own corrupt country falling apart is not worth It. Period. China is a much bigger threat to the US than some deranged religious zealot who is probably going to die soon. Let Europe deal with it. The WEF loves the destruction of the US economy over a faux pandemic and a war where there is no winner…other than Blackrock. I gave up my neocon membership after Iraq and the WMDs.
srael won every war including 67, 73 etc…all on their own. ”
LOL. The Arabs wanted the Soviet Union to intervene in both wars, the US kept them from doing so.
The US provided $126 million to Israel in 1966, worth over $1 billion today.
Over $1 billion 1971-73 worth over $ 8 billion today.
Over $150 billion total for a country of 6 million people and a standing military of less than 200k.
My heart goes out to them.”
You are a despicable and pathological liar.
Zelensky’s administration has been accused of suppressing press freedom”
Meanwhile, JeffP stands up and claps for his hero and icon Putin and proudly approves of this:
“All privately owned independent TV channels are banned from broadcasting, except for cable entertainment channels. The Russian version of Euronews was suspended by Roskomnadzor, the media regulator, on 22 March 2022. Among the big print media outlets, which have belonged to Kremlin allies for a few years, those that had preserved their independence and were under constant threat of closure, like the independent tri-weekly Novaya Gazeta, have had to suspend their publications. Radio stations are in the same situation. Media outlets that have survived are faced with very strict self-censorship because of banned themes and words, and Western social networks are gradually being blocked.
No journalist is safe from the threat of serious charges under vaguely worded draconian laws that were often adopted in haste. Many laws relating to freedom of expression that had been adopted in recent years – including defamation and “fake news” laws – were amended in order to incorporate them into the Penal Code at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The invasion of Ukraine gave a new impetus to this process, with parliament hastily adopting amendments under which “false information” about the Russian armed forces and any other Russian state body operating abroad is now punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
In recent years, in addition to heavy sentences and even torture suffered by some journalists, mainly at the regional level, the frequent use of fines and short-term detentions under various pretexts have been added to the arsenal of systematic intimidation against journalists. The media are also under threat of arbitrary inclusion on the list of “foregin agents”, a status that comes with heavy bureaucratic hurdles and legal risks. Faced with additional risks incurred since the state of the war in Ukraine, many journalists working for independent media outlets have chosen exile.”
I love how Google search has in its top links a redefined definition of proxy war. Just like recession, and vaccine… Wonder why?
Perhaps we need to look back at some of the U.S. actions instituted in World War II regarding censorship and restrictions on civil rights, before criticizing the Ukraine. Among other things, Germans, even many who were U. S. citizen, often had their guns confiscated, and we know what happened to the Japanese. The press likewise was limited in what it could publish regarding the war. Anyone thought to possibly be subversive often was visited by authorities and questioned. When a country is fighting for it’s survival actions are going to take place that would likely not be permitted in peacetime.
Lend lease didn’t help stop Hitler”
The Russians themselves call JeffP a flaming liar.
“Lend-Lease effectively ended the United States’ pretense of neutrality which had been enshrined in the Neutrality Acts of the 1930s. It was a decisive step away from non-interventionist policy and toward open support for the Allies. Lend-Lease’s precise significance to Allied victory in WW2 is debated. However, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov both stated that Lend-Lease enabled the Soviet Union to defeat Germany on the Eastern Front.”
Jason…I don’t agree with your Google search comparisons. But who cares about Google. I bet you don’t realize the US created and funded ISIS either? Or Henry Ford helped create the Nazi war machine?
Assume the following, for purposes of discussion. Putin and Big Z are both turds. Given that, it is still in America’s interests, imo, for Russia’s ability to wage war to be severely degraded. It is also in America’s interests to have the Nordic countries (and Ukraine) in NATO. Especially if the cost is mere money.
It is fair to question and verify that the money we provide is generally being used appropriately.
To be clear, the assumption above is just that. In reality Putin is the far bigger turd. But America should not involve itself in wars simply because one side has a bigger turd in charge; American interests must be the driving force.
Why JeffP is having a bad day.
https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2023/01/02/how-many-russian-soldiers-were-killed-in-the-ukrainian-new-years-day-strike-n521050
Jason your copy and paste is that the US military didn’t need to get involved to defeat Hitler? Lend lease was all that Russia needed to defeat Hitler? WW2 was not a proxy war in the true sense. It’s been redefined to keep people ignorant of the concept.
American interests must be the driving force.”
I agree.
Containing Putin and Russian expansion, keeping the Russians from establishing a new Soviet Union or “Greater Russia”, denying Russia access to Ukraine’s formidable agricultural assets and natural resource, etc. are all in the US interest.
$100 billion is peanuts compared to what a new Cold War would cost. Containing Russia now is cheap compared to what it will cost to contain a much stronger Russia later.
“Ukraine has extremely rich and complementary mineral resources in high concentrations and close proximity to each other. The country has abundant reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, salt, oil, graphite, sulfur, kaolin, titanium, nickel, magnesium, timber, and mercury.”
“It is the 7th largest wheat producer in the world’
I am not one to approve of one over the other… communist, socialist, fascist, racist, totalitarian…you get the idea.
750. Not really. Elaborate please.
Jason your copy and paste is that the US military didn’t need to get involved to defeat Hitler?”
Zzzz.. lend lease is recognized by anyone with half of brain as allowing for Russia to defeat the Germans on the eastern front, and keeping the UK afloat and a much more difficult target for invasion in the West.
Nobody said it was the only factor, or that US troops were not needed, but even the Russian acknowledge its importance. And btw, in 1971 they repaid $722 million on their lend lease debt, and the Brits made payments for decades.
743 SDC That’s right! It was unconstitutional then and now.
We are suckers for sure.

When I was President I made Member Nations pay up all of the money they weren’t paying to NATO. The U.S. was footing almost the entire NATO bill, and I quickly put a stop to that. Hundreds of billions of Dollars were then rapidly paid by those “delinquent” nations. The Secretary General of NATO said it was AMAZING what President Trump had done. Thank you, but here we go again! The good old USA “suckers” are paying a VAST majority of the NATO bill, & outside money, going to Ukraine. VERY UNFAIR!
Do t worry, he will cut more deals with Biden this week. You know it is “good for the country.”

Josh Hawley is 100% right about Mitch McConnell, who is a Complete and Total Disaster for the Republican Party and our Nation. The only one worse may be his wife, Coco Chow, whose relationships and subservience to China is a catastrophe for our Country. breitbart.com/politics/2022/12
Rpublican Rep. Thomas Massie (KY) has repeatedly been stonewalled by the January 6 Witch Hunt Committee when asking questions about Epp’s identity or his role in the so-called January 6 “insurrection.”
751 Like a communist is better than a fascist…they are equally dangerous to our world.
752. A similar argument can be made regarding U. S. aid to the Ukraine. We are effectively destroying Russian military capacity:
“These sums pale into insignificance when set against a total US defense budget of $715bn for 2022. The assistance represents 5.6% of total US defense spending. But Russia is a primary adversary of the US, a top tier rival not too far behind China, its number one strategic challenger. In cold, geopolitical terms, this war provides a prime opportunity for the US to erode and degrade Russia’s conventional defense capability, with no boots on the ground and little risk to US lives.
The Ukrainian armed forces have already killed or wounded upwards of 100,000 Russian troops, half its original fighting force; there have been almost 8,000 confirmed losses of armored vehicles including thousands of tanks, thousands of APCs, artillery pieces, hundreds of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and numerous naval vessels. US spending of 5.6% of its defense budget to destroy nearly half of Russia’s conventional military capability seems like an absolutely incredible investment. If we divide out the US defense budget to the threats it faces, Russia would perhaps be of the order of $100bn-150bn in spend-to-threat. So spending just $40bn a year, erodes a threat value of $100-150bn, a two-to-three time return.? Actually the return is likely to be multiples of this given that defense spending, and threat are annual recurring events.”
I bet you don’t realize the US created and funded ISIS either?”
Zzzzz… no, the US did not “create” ISIS.
If you are an idiot you might believe that ISIS was a “result” of US policy, but I do not agree with that either.
Either way, the “Islamic State” was created, no surprise, by Islamist radicals attempting to establish a Caliphate. And it existed before the Iraq invasion, it was established in 1999.
One thing though FDR didn’t eliminate a whole Christian denomination like Zelensky did.
But Biden’s Beotch wants to have a toast with him in Ky over grift projects.

I never agreed with Trump’s silly anti-NATO rants before and I still don’t.
Asking for euro trash dead beats to pay up is an issue with you.
eliminate a whole Christian denomination like Zelensky did.”
BS.
This “Russian Church” is like a 5th column for Putin in the Ukraine and Zelensky is certainly entitled to curb its activities. It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with subversive activities.
It is certainly no worse than interning innocent Japanese during WWII.
762 of course let the US be the worlds piggy bank with your tax dollars…smart play. Globalists love it.
Asking for euro trash dead beats to pay up is an issue with you.”
Yes, a big issue. I think it is hypocritical garbage and grandstanding.
It is in OUR interest to support NATO and the “pay up” part is just propaganda to weaken the alliance.
764 Jason you are a fascist I get it now. You must use the US Constitution for toilet paper.
Here is a breakdown of where aid to Ukraine came from:
Out of that €93.8 billion, €52.3 billion came from the United States, €29.2 billion came from the European Union, and €12.3 billion came from other countries (mostly the United Kingdom).
with your tax dollars”
Nothing makes your tax dollar worth less than instability.
Look at what happened on 9/11, 20 hijackers were able to cause trillions of damage to the world’s economy.
But some idiots whined about the cost of the war on terror that followed and kept it from happening again for 20 years.
Out of that €93.8 billion, €52.3 billion came from the United States, €29.2 billion came from the European Union, and €12.3 billion came from other countries (mostly the United Kingdom).’
Considering the size of the economies, seems like a fair division to me.
768 You numbers are off…that doesn’t include military and 42 billion pledged.
You can have a strong nato allowing deadbeats not to lay their respective share/ s
US GDP is 6 times the UK.
So they US and the UK are contributing about the same accounting for GDP.
Yeah those numbers are way off.
How much is getting to the hands of thr gubment, being diverted, and going into the pockets of the grifter?
You can have a strong nato allowing deadbeats not to lay their respective share”
I agree. ‘Fair share” is very subjective.
And it is like ‘fair trade”.
Those that oppose NATO talk about ‘fair share” as an excuse same as “fair trade” by those who are actually “no trade”.
Yes and end rhe special counsel. Audit the grift.

and 42 billion pledged”
Zzzzz..
The numbers are what has actually been spent.
I certainly agree with it.
Send the money to Ukraine instead.
Evidently the nato chief disagrees.
He said nato was strongest under trump when he requested and got the deadbeats to pay ( ie Mulllah murkel).
They can easily afford to make their payments.
Even mute 43 had asking deadbeats to pay when he ran for officr in 2000. Of course, it was all smoke and mirrors.
The new congress is not going to cut off aid to Ukraine.
The Putin Brigade of lapdogs, sycophants and toadies are going to be very disappointed.
More like $110+ billion spent.
62 million euros is an understatement by euro trash news thaf hate us.
Whatever. NATO is more important than who pays what.
It survived Trump’s silly rants and will survive the isolationists vapid bleats too.
I am fine with 110 billion too.
Whatever it takes.
Pay peanuts now or big bucks later.
A new Cold War will cost trillions.
Auditing does not necessarily mean cutting off all or any aid.
But this needs to be done and has not been done.
I don’t trust the woke dod or Piglosi to tell me otherwise.
Not paying up = end of nato.
There was no difference between mute 43 (2020) and trump (2016).
Trump followed up and was successful in getting the $ needed for nato.
Mute basically sold you a sack of manure.
